A Republican Gives President Obama “Kudos” On His Handling Libya

“This is a victory for the United States military, for our British and French allies, for NATO, for the president of the United States, but most importantly for the Libyan people. …” Kirk said in a conference call with reporters from the Libyan capital. “Unquestioned kudos goes to the president and his team, but the challenges are not over yet.”

“This was a success by President Obama and his team. Any military conflict has ups or downs or things you might have done differently … but we have all the makings of a very strong U.S. ally in Libya.”

Those are the words of Republican Sen. Mark Kirk (R-Ill.), who criticized the President at the beginning of the conflict for not getting congressional approval before joining forces with NATO to help the Libyan people. Now, after touring the war-torn country, Mark Kirk is singing a different tune.

Kirk traveled to Tripoli with three fellow Republican senators – John McCain of Arizona, Lindsey Graham of South Carolina and Marco Rubio of Florida – to meet with members of the National Transitional Council, comprised largely of the opposition movement that removed Qadhafi from power.

The congressional delegation toured a hospital and the U.S. embassy, and spoke with civilians in Martyr’s Square, the site of protests and fighting earlier this year.

While driving through the streets of the city, Kirk described seeing “spontaneous graffiti” that was overwhelmingly anti-Qadhafi. Billboards which had previously displayed the Libyan leader’s image had been ripped down.

“The age of Qadhafi has definitely ended,” Kirk said, though the ousted leader still remains at large.

Now only if Kirk could spread those words to the rest of the Republicans in Congress, and don’t be surprised if we find out that Republicans are now trying to come up with a way to credit George Bush for Libya’s success.

Occupy Wall Street – Russell Simmons Could Bring “Hundreds of Thousands” To Protest

Russell Simmons, who recently wrote an article demanding that the rich pay their fair share in taxes, is beginning to take another look at the 12 day old protest on Wall Street. In an interview today on MSNBC, Simmons, worth almost $350 million, told Martin Bashir;

… if I get involved really heavily in this one, we find the agenda and have a common ground… we can bring hundreds of thousands of people… small seeds are planted, but it could grow into something very big.”

Occupy Wall Street began as a small grassroot protest meant to send a message to the wealthy that middle class Americans are mad as hell, and they’re not gonna take it anymore! Since it started, the money controlled Media have totally ignored the protesters until recently, when unnecessarily aggressive crowd control measures by the New York police department got an entire segment on The Last Word on MSNBC.

Russell Simmons and a few hundreds of thousands more protesters will be a nice little addition.

Fox Host Drops The “Sh*t” Word On Television

Bob Beckel is slowly becoming our favorite host on Fox News. Remember when Bob decided that he was not going to partake in a conversation with his co-hosts that falsely slander the President? Well, Bob is sticking to his guns and in the last show, he may have been a tad bit upset and belted out the word that sounds like “hit,” but starts with the letter “S.”

Before pressing play on the video below, maybe you should send the kids to get a drink of water or something…

Herman Cain Makes Ad Calling Blacks Lazy, Unpatriotic Cheats

The hits just keeps on coming.

Recently, Herman Cain called blacks “brainwashed” because a huge majority vote Democrat. But that wasn’t all Cain said about the black community.

In another ad made in 2006, Herman Cain through his high-profile role at AmericaPAC, allowed what can easily be one of the most vile, despicable political ads ever! An ad, whose only perceivable intent is to put down an entire group of people. Herman Cain (who is black in case you haven’t noticed and referred to as “the face of AmericaPAC”) kept the ad that quotes almost all the stereotypes used to insult the black community.

And in 2012, if he makes it that far, Cain wants your vote.

Anita Perry Says Husband Rick Creates “Minimum Wage Jobs” In Texas

WOW… and she’s supposed to be helping him win the presidency?

Anita Perry, wife of Republican Presidential candidate Rick Perry has, in this one soundbite, cast doubt on her husband’s argument that he has fixed and improved Texas’ economy. Realizing that her husband’s campaign has gone down-hill in recent days as Republicans slowly continue their exodus away from the Perry bandwagon, Anita decided to go on the campaign trail to stand by her man. She had this to say;

He knows how to create jobs…We have 1,500 people moving to Texas every day to find a job. I’m not going to tell you they’re all high-paying jobs, but they’re a job, even if they’re a minimum wage job. And that’s what people are hungry for.

Anita is telling the truth. Under Perry’s leadership, almost 10% of the jobs created in Texas are minimum wage jobs. And Perry has taken the economy from 4.2% to 8.5%. Talk about a Texas miracle…!

Christian Conservative Says Mormonism Can Change Laws To Allow Polygamy

Guess that answers the question – Will a Christian vote for a Mormon to be President of the United States?

How exactly can Mitt Romney get the Christian Conservative’s vote – a major voting block of the Republican party – when Byran Fischer has decided to take away his right to freedom of Religion?

Fisher, one of the leading voices in the conservative community and director of American Family Association is telling his audience that Mormons like Mitt Romney – are not protected under the 1st Amendment of the Constitution.

“The purpose of the first Amendment is to protect the free exercise of the Christian religion,” Fischer says in the video below. He then goes on to explain how Mormonism and Christianity are two completely different religions, and that the practice of Mormonism could eventually lead to laws being changed to allow polygamy.

Looks like Mitt Romney is done before the first vote is cast in the Republican primary next January.

Michele Bachmann Campaign Running On Fumes

And we are not talking about the exhaust fumes Sarah Palin likes to smell either. No, Michele Bachmann’s campaign is so broke, they can’t even pay attention…

Okay, okay…, back to the facts.

The New York Post reports;

Insiders are whispering that the Tea Party darling’s financials are grim and she may be out of the race before she makes it to the Iowa caucus in February, even though she has a strong base in the state. Sources tell us say Bachmann’s skeletal staff are holding their collective breath until the deadline to disclose her fundraising report on Oct. 15.

Meanwhile, we hear a computer vendor has called her campaign headquarters threatening to shut down the power due to an outstanding bill. Sources say she had about $400,000 at the beginning of September, but also stacks of bills.

“She does not like to ask for money. She should have been focusing on big donors about three months ago,” a source said. “She’s only cultivated low dollar donors with direct mailings and that’s hurt her.” But at a rally in Virginia yesterday, Bachmann declared that she does not intend to back out of the race. “We intend to be the comeback kid in this race,” she said. Her rep said, “None of that is true.”

Sarah Palin Answered The Question – But No One Understood Her Answer

They’re at different ends of the totem pole. At one end, last night, the Republican savior Chris Christie, demanded all the media attention, as he announced once again that he will not run for president. And at the other end, Sarah Palin, the Republican shipwreck and her feeble attempt to keep the Fox spotlight on herself one more time, trying to fool the last six of her last remaining followers into thinking that she may…or may not run for president in 2012.

The host of On The Record asked about a possible Palin candidacy in 2012 and off-camera, the interpreters tried to decode the words falling from Palin’s mouth;

“Through my process of decision-making with my family and my close friends as to whether I should throw my name in the hat for the GOP nomination for 2012 – Is a title worth it? Does a title shackle a person?” Palin said Tuesday night on the Fox News show “On the Record.”

“Someone like me who’s a maverick? I do go rogue and I call it like I see it and I don’t mind stirring it up in order to get people to think and debate aggressively to find solutions to the problems that our country is facing,” Palin continued.

“Somebody like me, is a title and a campaign too shackling? Does that prohibit me from being out there and out of a box, not allowing handlers to shape me and to force my message to be what’s going on, or what contributors or political pundits want it to be?”

Head scratching, with raised eyebrows everywhere.

Next Stop For Health Care Law – The U.S Supreme Court

In a move some are describing as  pure confidence, the Obama Administration has allowed the September 25th deadline to pass without filing their appeal to the 11th Circuit Court, in the ongoing battle by Republicans to repeal the President’s Health Care Law. Republicans have claimed that the individual mandate in the law is “unconstitutional.”

Former acting Solicitor General Walter Dellinger, who supports the law, told Politico that this move to allow the case to be heard now by the Supreme Court, “confirms what I had already concluded: That the government is confident that it’s going to prevail in the Supreme Court and would like to have a decision sooner rather than later.”

But opponents to the law are looking at this decision differently.  Randy E. Barnett, a Georgetown Law professor who is working with the plaintiffs, credits the President for not delaying the case anymore and for sending it to the Supreme Court for their decision in what he refers to as a “constitutional controversy.”

Politico Reports:

The issue of the constitutionality of the individual mandate has been widely expected to be decided by the Supreme Court. The key question has been the timing. The Justice Department’s apparent decision to ask the Supreme Court to review the case greatly increases the chances the issue will be heard in the 2011-12 term, which begins Monday.

The Supreme Court now has several strong reasons to accept the case. The court rarely declines requests from the government to take a case, especially in situations in which a circuit court has struck down a piece of a high-profile law.

The current political make-up of the Supreme Court is 5 to 4 in favor of the Republicans/Conservatives. In a perfect world, one would expect these justices to strictly adhere to the rule of law and judicial precedent. But this particular court is an activist court, implementing decisions that benefit their political party’s ideology over the rule of law.

Expect justice to eventually prevail, but with the current political occupants of this Court, justice will be delayed then detoured until the new occupants move in.

Chris Christie Answered Again… No! Now Stop Asking!

Chris Christie delivered his keynote address tonight from the Reagan Library, speaking to a group of Republicans and reporters eager to know if he was going to change his mind and run for the Republican nomination to take on President Obama. However, after delivering his speech, the question apparently went unanswered.

Then came the short question segment from the audience. The first question was from a woman who asked  Christie what would he do to improve the economy. Boring.

The second audience member however, asked the question everyone wanted an answer to – are you running for President?

Christie’s answer to that question, was to direct the audience member and everyone watching to the video below. According to Christie, this is his answer to the question.

Rick Perry Really Said That? O.M.G! – Video

When I came across this video, I thought it would be just another amateur trying to put their mark on the joke that is Rick Perry. Boy was I wrong!

This video shows Rick Perry ‘saying’ some things that are quite frankly, amusing. Okay, okay… the words you hear are not the ones coming from Rick’s mouth, but compared to what the Republican presidential candidate has been saying so far, these words would be an improvement.

Watch, and enjoy!
