Trump Refused to Attend, So Next GOP Debate Cancelled

The Republican kingpin has spoken!

The U.S. Republican presidential debate scheduled for next week in Utah has been canceled, two local news affiliates in Salt Lake City reported on Wednesday, after party front-runner Donald Trump earlier said he would not attend.

Fox13 and ABC’s KUTV cited representatives for the Salt Palace Convention Center where the televised event was to be held. A representative for the center referred calls to Fox, which could not immediately be reached for comment.

In an interview on Fox News earlier on Wednesday, Trump said he would not attend the event, scheduled for March 21, as he thought the Republicans had “had enough debates.”

Rival John Kasich said following Trump’s decision that he would not attend the debate unless the front-runner changed his mind and decided to come.

Ted Cruz, the third candidate vying for the Republican nomination for the November presidential election, criticized Trump on Twitter for his decision, calling him #DuckingDonald and urging his supporters to tell him to attend the debate.

The network announced Monday’s debate earlier this week.

Bill O’Reilly Calls Trump a “Buffoon” – Fails to Convince Trump to do Debate – Video

Roger Ailes failed again when he sent out his top dog to bully Donald Trump into doing the Fox Debate on Thursday. In an interview on Wednesday, O’Reilly did all he could, even trying to bribe Trump with “milkshakes”, to get the Republican presidential candidate to do the Thursday night debate.

Trump, who has been in a no holds barred war with Megyn Kelly since Kelly asked a valid question in a Republican debate back in 2015, has been adamant in his decision to boycott another Kelly moderated debate on Thursday. In the interview, Bill O’ Reilly tried and tried, and failed consistently, even bringing up Trump’s “Christian” faith, to convince him to “forgive” Kelly and “turn the other cheek.”

Trump wouldn’t give. So an exasperated Bill O’ Reilly called Trump a “Buffoon,” although he didn’t come straight out and say, you’re a buffoon. Bill O’ pulled the same trick played by many others in the political media, saying there are some who say Trump is a buffoon. You know, put it out there and hope the words have their intended effect.

Watch the craziness below.

Canadian Born Republican Presidential Candidate Tells World America’s Secret – Video

In case you missed the last Republica.n debate, and I won’t hold it against you if you did, Republican candidates Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio got into a heated back and forth to prove how tough they will be against terrorism and immigration. And in the process, Ted Cruz blurted out some info abiut the NSA and data collection that was should have remained classified.

“What [Rubio] knows is that the old program covered 20 percent to 30 percent of phone numbers to search for terrorists,” Cruz said, clearly annoyed that he was being challenged by Rubio. Then he shared this indo. “The new program covers nearly 100 percent. That gives us greater ability to stop acts of terrorism, and he knows that that’s the case.”

Realizing what Cruz had just done on a nationally and internationally televised debate, Marco Rubio quickly interjected.

“Let me be very careful when answering this,” Rubio responded, “because I don’t think national television in front of 15 million people is the place to discuss classified information. So let me just be very clear. There is nothing that we are allowed to do under this bill that we could not do before.”

Obama Slams GOP Candidates – They can’t Handle CNBC, How Can They Handle Putin?

And this is one of the reasons why Republicans are no match for the president. He is in a class by himself. He has more wit in his little finger than the 52 Republican candidates put together, and nothing these jokers do or say will ever change that.

At a democratic fundraiser in New York City on Monday, the president spoke about some of the nonsense going on in the Republican Party and in the GOP debates. One of the things he mentioned was the recent cry baby episode by Republican presidential candidates, complaining that the CNBC moderators were too hard on them and too unfair in their questions.

The president nailed it by saying that these are the same people who complained that he is weak when it comes to Putin. They claim they will be stronger. But as the president points out, how are they going to be stronger when dealing with Putin  when they couldn’t even handle questions from CNBC moderators?

“Every one of these candidates says, ‘Obama’s weak, Putin’s kicking sand in his face. When I talk to Putin, he’s going to straighten out,'” Obama said during a democratic fundraiser in New York City.

“And then it turns out, “Every one of these candidates says, ‘Obama’s weak, Putin’s kicking sand in his face. When I talk to Putin, he’s going to straighten out,'” Obama said during a democratic fundraiser in New York City.

“And then it turns out, they can’t handle a bunch of CNBC moderators,” he said. “If you can’t handle those guys, I don’t think the Chinese and the Russians are going to be too worried about you.”

More Bold Predictions: This Debate Changed Everything

October 28 is a very special day in my life. It was 43 years ago that I became a man and realized the meaning of that old, old adage, “That’s the first time I stood up in front of people, bored them, and they gave me money afterwards.” Mazel tov indeed.

So it was with a nostalgic eye that I sat down and watched Episode 3 of the Far Right Follies, otherwise known as the GOP presidential debate. It was a rough affair for the moderators and included some captivating moments, such as when Ted Cruz took all of his time to call out the CNBC network and accuse the Democrats of being Communists or when Marco Rubio rhetorically punched Jeb! Bush (a guy with glasses on) or when Chris Christie almost knocked over his podium trying to tell us that Congress has stolen our Social Security.

The result?

Well, that thudding sound you heard later Wednesday night was the sound of four campaigns hitting Loser’s Gulch: Donald Trump, Ben Carson, Carly Fiorina and Jeb! That’s right folks; it looks like none of these four will ever be elected president. Now, I will hedge a bit and say that Jeb could bounce back, but I find that rather unlikely. It’s also possible that many of Trump’s supporters could find their way to Christie, but the net effect of that would be the good Guv’nor polling at 3% instead of 1%. Then again, Christie always wanted to be in the 1%, didn’t he?

Trump, Carson and Fiorina are done because they didn’t do enough to rouse their campaigns beyond the protest votes that are the cornerstones of their combined millions. Carson is in the best position to stick around, but his past comments about guns and the Holocaust and Muslims will make him radioactive to the larger Republican, and general population.

As for Jeb!, my view is that his performance on Wednesday now makes it easier for the Republican establishment, which was never crazy about his candidacy, to finally break free of their Bush III concerns. Put more succinctly, the GOP doesn’t need him anymore. They have Marco. And Ted. And even Johnny the K. from oHIo.

Jeb’s answers and his demeanor were underwhelming at best, and he hasn’t really seemed presidential since he entered the race. He might be the smart one, but there’s something to be said for the son who wanted so badly to both please and punish his father that he sold his soul to the reborn and allied himself with Karl Rove. Jeb’s timing is just as bad as Chris Christie. Their electoral opportunities have passed them by and they might be the only ones who didn’t get the text.

The realignment of the GOP field will take a little time to adjust, but by the holidays the lineup should look radically different, if not in numbers, then at least in the polls. I expect the GOP primary electorate to shift themselves to candidates who have some experience in governance even as they call for the actual end of governance itself. Marco Rubio is now the favorite, followed by Ted Cruz.; Trump and Carson will fade. Bush will crash.

As for the national election, this realignment will make Hillary Clinton the favorite until further notice. She will be able to unite the Democratic Party around her by the end of March and can then spend time honing her general election message and raising obscene amounts of cash in the hopes that she gets elected, replaces a conservative justice and gets the Citizens United case reversed. Then she can raise modestly obscene amounts of cash for her next run.

Ain’t democracy great? Amen.

The Republican Debate – Who Won, Who Lost And Who Kept Us Laughing

The clear winner on stage last night was Willard Romney. It was obvious that he came to the debate with one goal in mind, and that was to get Newt Gingrich.

Mission Accomplished.

Newt on the other hand, wasn’t Newt. He was either mentally missing in action or wasn’t prepared for the unusual aggression he faced from the Mormon, Mitt Romney. Yes, Gingrich tried his customary one line attacks against the media and his other opponents, but when they fired back, Newt hung his head in defeat. In a race where most polls say could be won by either Newt or Romney, history will call this debate the turning point at which Gingrich, The Historian, lost Florida and ultimately, the nomination… although we all know the GOP elites were never going to nominate Gingrich in the first place.

The post game wrap-up by the talking heads at CNN suggested that Rick Santorum had “a great night.” I’ll call his performance consistent, not great. Santorum has stuck to the same message since the beginning of this process. One thing you cannot accuse him of, is doing a Romney… that is, flip-flopping.

And Ron Paul was, well… Ron Paul. I’m not sure if anyone in the audience understood anything Paul said, but he has some of the most dedicated followers and as far as I can tell and his followers are the only reason Paul is still in the race. That, and the fact that he keeps the crowd entertained.

Yes, onstage Romney won. Offstage however, President Obama won another GOP debate.

Mitt Romney Is A Liar – He Said Obama Had No Jobs Plan Over Last 3 Years

Is this the example Republicans are looking for? Someone who will look into the television machine and lie to the nation?

In tonight’s debate, Mitt Romney, on more than one occasion, lied!

The one we’re bringing to light here is his false claim by Mitt Romney that President Obama has been in office for three years, and never brought a jobs plan to congress.

We’ve got a president in office three years, and he does not have a jobs plan yet. I’ve got one out there already and I’m not even president yet.”

We’re not sure what country Romney is talking about. Heck, we’re not sure what planet he’s on, but President Obama has proposed multiple plans to get Americans back to work, with the latest plan – one that Republicans voted against – was called The American Jobs Act, and was presented to the American people just a few months ago.

You’re running for President of the United States Mr. Willard, not the Liar in Chief!

Republican Debate – A Record Flip Flop For Romney – Video

A Republican debate happened yesterday and Romney stood above the fighting fray, walking away with little or no real attacks on him or his record.

A Republican debate happened today, and things were much different, as Romney took swings from Rick Santorum and Jon Huntsman.

But Newt Gingrich took to the floor with one clear goal in mind. He wanted the audience to know the truth about Romney and his SuperPAC’s attempts to derail his candidacy with negative ads. Romney had previously said that he knew nothing about the actions of the PAC, or who they were. But today, he flip-flopped on that claim too.

Watch below, as Romney claimed he hadn’t seen any of the ads Gingrich was talking about, only to turn around and perfectly describe the ads he didn’t see.

A Breakdown Of The Republican Debate – Video

So you missed the Republican Debate last night? Have no fear. This video gives you a full rundown of all the highlights and low points of the debate. And for sections of the debates not shown in the video, well, just fill those parts in with the usual  “repeal obamacare,” “this president can’t lead,” and “I understand how to create jobs, Obama does not.”

That’s it, the entire debate. You didn’t miss much.

But do pay close attention to the $10,000 bet Mitt Romney tried to get Rick Perry to agree to. That bet is bound to come back to bite Romney in the future. Just for perspective, most middle class families have to work for months to see $10,000. Yep, that bet was not a good look for Romney… pure insensitivity on his part.

Donald Trump To Be Ring Leader At Next Republican Circus Debate

The joke that is Donald Trump is taking it’s act to a whole new level. Trump is scheduled to be the ring leader of  a Republican presidential circus debate scheduled for December 27th. We’re torn between the idea of this being a new low for Donald Trump or an even newer low for the Republican presidential candidates who will attend, but it’s definitely an even greater low for our political system.

Luckily for Jon Huntsman, he will not be played for a clown fool. He sent a rejection letter to the Donald and Newsmax, the conservative News magazine who organized the event.

Former Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman is the first to send his regrets.

“We look forward to watching Mitt Romney and Newt Gingrich suck up to Trump with a big bowl of popcorn,” Huntsman spokesman Tim Miller told Yahoo News.

The debate organizers sent out debate notices to the presidential campaigns today, but they have not yet heard back about who will show, Newsmax Social Media Director Brett Sandala confirmed.

“We’ve gotten a few positive responses but we’re not doing any release on that until next week,” Sandala said.

Trump will moderate the debate on his own, Sandala said, and will cover several topics.

I personally would not be watching this debate. But if Newsmax organizes a news conference where Trump’s investigators tell of their findings in Hawaii regarding President Obama’s Kenyan birth, I will definitely watch that!

Rick Santorum Wants More Profiling Of Muslims

In tonight’s debate sponsored by CNN and moderated by Wolf Blitzer, the question was put to various candidates as to whether they support the Patriotic Act, a law that gives the federal government the authority to take extreme steps in gathering intelligence, even among American citizens. Just about all the participants agreed with the Patriot Act, except Ron Paul of course, who believes in freedom over security.

After  Rick Santorum got his chance to answer the question, Blitzer pointed out the fact that  “under certain circumstances” Santorum said he would support profiling. He then asked Santorum to explain in what instances would profiling be supported, “…is it ethnic profiling, religious profiling?”

Santorum answered;

Well, the folks most likely to be committing these crimes… obviously Muslims would be someone you’d look at, absolutely…. those are the folks who are the radical Muslims who would be committing these crimes,:

The Republican audience applauded… what else is new?
