‘Morning in America’ – The Trump’s Version of America

Donald Trump is not Ronald Reagan, and should not even be mentioned in the same category as the loved and often praised Ronald Reagan. So when a political campaign ad titled ‘Morning in America’ debuted yesterday, many recalled the 1984 political ad by Reagan’s campaign with the same name.

Reagan’s ad highlighted some of the positive aspects of the economy under Reagan’s leadership. The 2020 version of Morning in America under Trump’s leadership, however, is very different.

Trump Suggests Injecting Yourself with Disinfectant To Fight Coronavirus

Just when you thought you’ve heard it all from this president, the man goes and says this:

Donald Trump suggested the possibility of an “injection” of disinfectant into a person infected with the coronavirus as a deterrent to the virus during his daily briefing Thursday.

Trump made the remark after Bill Bryan, who leads the Department of Homeland Security’s science and technology division, gave a presentation on research his team has conducted that shows that the virus doesn’t live as long in warmer and more humid temperatures. Bryan said, “The virus dies quickest in sunlight,” leaving Trump to wonder whether you could bring the light “inside the body.”

“So supposing we hit the body with a tremendous — whether it’s ultraviolet or just a very powerful light — and I think you said that hasn’t been checked because of the testing,” Trump said, speaking to Bryan during the briefing. “And then I said, supposing you brought the light inside the body, which you can do either through the skin or some other way, and I think you said you’re going to test that, too.”

He added: “I see the disinfectant that knocks it out in a minute, one minute. And is there a way we can do something like that by injection inside or almost a cleaning? As you see, it gets in the lungs, it does a tremendous number on the lungs, so it would be interesting to check that.”

He didn’t specify the kind of disinfectant.

Medical professionals, including Dr. Vin Gupta, a pulmonologist global health policy expert and an NBC News and MSNBC contributor. were quick to challenge the president’s “improper health messaging.”

“This notion of injecting or ingesting any type of cleansing product into the body is irresponsible and it’s dangerous,” said Gupta. “It’s a common method that people utilize when they want to kill themselves.”

Trump Throws Kemp Under The Bus – I “Strongly” Disagree with his decision

When Trump speaks, Republicans listen. And Georgia’s Republican governor, Brian Kemp thought he was falling in line, you know, doing what Trump wanted. Today, however, Trump threw Kemp under the bus.

Trump has not minced words on his desire to get the economy going again. He has been fixated on ending the Coronavirus quarantine and getting Americans back to work, back to school, and back to their normal life. The only problem is, Trump’s desire flies in the face of logic. Asking governors to end their quarantine and reopen their state can, and most likely will, have an adverse effect and can lead to more coronavirus cases and possibly more deaths.

Trump wants states to reopen by May 1st.

Brian Kemp took heed. He heard Trump’s call to governors to reopen their state by May 1st and obeyed. Asked about Kemp’s blind allegiance to his nonsense, Trump pulled himself out of the equation, stated that he “strongly” disagrees with Kemp’s decision and threw Kemp squarely under the bus.

“I told the governor of Georgia, Brian Kemp, that I disagree strongly with his decision to open certain facilities which are in violation of the Phase 1 guidelines for the incredible people of Georgia,” Trump said, referring to preliminary guidelines the White House issued on beginning to reopen the country following statewide lockdowns to curb the spread of the virus.

“He must do what he thinks is right,” Trump said. “I want him to do what he thinks is right. But I disagree with him on what he’s doing, but I want to let the governors do — now if I see something totally egregious, totally out of line, I’ll do — but I think spas and beauty salons and tattoo parlors and barbershops in Phase 1 — we’re going to have Phase 2 very soon — is just too soon.”

Trump’s Campaign Secretly Pays $180,000 A Year to Sons Girlfriend/Wife

According to reporting by The Huffington Post, Kimberly Guilfoyle, the girlfriend of eldest son Donald Trump Jr., and Lara Trump, wife of middle son Eric Trump, are each receiving $15,000 a month, according to two GOP sources who are informal White House advisers and who spoke on condition of anonymity.

They were unsure when the payments began but say they are being made by campaign manager Bradley Parscale through his company rather than directly by either the campaign or the party in order to avoid public reporting requirements.

“I can pay them however I want to pay them,” Parscale told HuffPost on Friday, but then declined to comment any further.

Critics of the arrangement, including Republicans, said the setup was designed to get around Federal Election Commission rules that require campaigns, political parties and other committees to disclose their spending in detail.

“A lot of people close to Donald Trump are getting rich off of his campaign,” said Paul Ryan, a campaign finance legal expert at the watchdog group Common Cause. “They don’t want donors to know that they’re getting rich. Because, at the end of the day, it’s donor money.”

Trump Defunds WHO, Blames The Organization for his Miserable Coronavirus Response

He already defunded a pandemic response team tasked with the job of responding to viruses and diseases in the early stages before they progress to pandemics. Now, in the middle of a pandemic, the “stable genius” in the White House decided that this is the time to halt funding to the World Health Organization – another organization task with the job of protecting the world from potential pandemics.

You see, Trump has come under scrutiny for his lackadaisical response to the deadly Coronavirus outbreak here in the United States. He called the virus a “democratic hoax,” he blatantly denied the dangers of the disease and proclaimed that the virus cannot gain traction in America because America is too prepared. With almost 610,000 already infected and over 26,000 dead here in America, Trump is now trying to step away from the spotlight and is attempting to cast blame on the WHO.

“I am directing my administration to halt funding while a review is conducted to assess the World Health Organization’s role in severely mismanaging and covering up the spread of the coronavirus,” Trump said on Tuesday, a clear attempt to divert attention away from his miserable handling of the virus.

But this diversion is not new, it is actually expected from the man who blames everyone else for his failures. A few weeks ago, the stable genius in the White House even blamed Obama for the Coronavirus outbreak here in the United States.

“The Obama administration made a decision on testing that turned out to be very detrimental to what we’re doing,” Trump lamented at an earlier White House meeting. “And we undid that decision a few days ago so that the testing can take place in a much more accurate and rapid fashion.”

The man takes no responsibility when things go wrong. Listening to him talk, you’d think he just got into office a month ago.

You’ve been there almost 4 years bro, man-up already!

Donald Trump’s Name will Appear on Your Economic Stimulus Check

For the first time in American history, the name of a president will appear on checks sent to Americans from the IRS.

According to a Washington Post report, Donald Trump’s name will be printed on the economic stimulus checks that will be distributed by the Internal Revenue Service to individuals to help mitigate losses caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

The addition, which was ordered by the Treasury Department, is expected to delay the delivery of paper checks by several days, according to the Post, which cited unnamed senior agency officials. The phrase “President Donald J. Trump” will be printed in a memo line on the left side of the checks (most will total $1,200 for individuals), below a line that says “Economic Impact Payment.”

After the IRS adjusts its printing technology for this addition, tens of millions of Americans are expected to receive these checks in the mail in the coming weeks.

NBC News also confirmed the report Tuesday night.

The decision to add Trump’s name to the checks was reportedly finalized late Monday and announced to the IRS’s information technology team on Tuesday, the Post reported, citing a Treasury Department official.

Fox News Host Turns on Trump – “Enough with the 3rd grade name-calling”

It’s not everyday someone at Fox News speeks up about the insanity known as Donald Trump, so when the rare occasion happens, it will be noted here.

One particular Fox & Friends host has had enough of Donald Trump’s criticism on media’s coverage of coronavirus — and she wasn’t afraid to express it. Fox & Friends weekend co-host Jedediah Bila took to Twitter to dig into the president after he criticized Fox News Sunday anchor Chris Wallace, who discussed a New York Times article about Trump not acting sooner on the coronavirus.

“Just watched Mike Wallace wannabe, Chris Wallace, on @FoxNews,” tweeted Trump. “I am now convinced that he is even worse than Sleepy Eyes Chuck Todd of Meet the Press(please!), or the people over at Deface the Nation. What the hell is happening to @FoxNews. It’s a whole new ballgame over there!”

Bila, who was recovering from COVID-19 last week, did not mince words with her response to the former host of Celebrity Apprentice.

“Enough with the 3rd grade name-calling. Chris is doing his job. The news should not be any president’s friend, ally, or buddy. If it bothered you when Obama complained about Fox News, but you’re silent on this complete nonsense, then just stop. Seriously. Enough.”

Trump’s tweet about Wallace came after a busy Easter Sunday morning of tweeting about “Fake News Opposition Party” and “Lamestream Media.” He also tweeted to governors, saying, “Get your states testing programs & apparatus perfected. Be ready, big things are happening. No excuses! The Federal Government is there to help. We are testing more than any country in the World.”

Trump Retweets Call to Fire Dr. Anthony Fauci

Conservatives have been calling for his firing for a long time now, simple because Dr. Fauci bases his opinion about the Covid-19 pandemic on facts rather than Trump’s fiction. And now, Trump seems to be heeding their call.

On Sunday, Trump, who is in damage control mode over the US’s slow response to dealing with the COVID-19, reshared a tweet about firing Dr. Anthony Fauci, the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases since 1984 and one of the top experts on Trump’s coronavirus task force, who helped tackle the AIDS, Zika, and Ebola epidemics.

The tweet, which was written by Republican DeAnna Lorraine who is running for Congress, said: “Fauci is now saying that had Trump listened to the medical experts earlier he could’ve saved more lives. Fauci was telling people on February 29th that there was nothing to worry about and it posed no threat to the US public at large.” Lorraine’s tweet included a hashtag that said: “Time to #FireFauci.”

It’s been about two months since the US’s first cases, and 22,023 have died from the virus and 555,398 have been infected, according to data from Johns Hopkins University.

Coronavirus Response Helps Sink Trump’s Approval Ratings

Maybe it’s the lies he tell, misleading Americans into thinking the we were immune to coronavirus, that the virus will never come to our borders. Or maybe it just the fact that Donald Trump is a terrible president. Whatever the reason, Americans are not liking Trump right now.

Donald Trump isn’t benefiting from what political scientists refer to as a “rally ‘round the flag” effect — a traditional surge in popularity as the nation unites behind its leader during an emergency situation.

Even as the country confronts the greatest disruption to daily life since World War II, a series of new polls released this week show Trump’s approval ratings plateauing in the mid-40s, roughly where his approval rating stood a month ago, before the coronavirus shuttered much of the nation’s economic and social activity.

In other words, public views of Trump’s leadership in the coronavirus crisis are now breaking down along familiar lines of polarization: Americans view his performance during the pandemic about the same way they view his performance generally.

Throughout the first three years of his presidency, Trump’s approval rating has traded in a narrow band. But his failure to unite the country behind his leadership also reflects Americans’ judgment of his handling of the outbreak thus far: In poll after poll this week, increasing percentages say they think Trump is doing a bad job, and his administration hasn’t done enough to protect citizens from the effects of Covid-19.

President Obama is “Eager to go” against Trump

Now that Bernie Sanders has ended his campaign for Presidency, sources close to former President Barack Obama says the former President is anxious to get into the campaign against Donald Trump.

The former president has stayed out of the Democratic primary, but sources say he is anxious to endorse his former vice president, Joe Biden, and become an active player in the general election campaign against President Trump.

Democrats across the country are also ready for his entry.

“IT IS TIME,” Doug Landry, a former Hillary Clinton aide, wrote Wednesday, tweeting a cartoon image of Obama as superman. “RELEASE THE SUPER SURROGATE.”

Sources close to the former president is ready, but that he and Biden are also conscious of the coronavirus pandemic dominating the country and changing the nature of politics.

Biden actually spoke by phone with Trump on Monday to discuss the pandemic, and Sanders made it clear that the spreading virus was one reason he ended his campaign on Wednesday despite the urgings of some supporters to continue.

“He’s eager to go,” said one source close to Obama. “He’s been waiting for this election for almost four years.”

Deborah Birx Couldn’t Treat Her Sick Granddaughter Because of Concern for Trump’s Wellbeing

Deborah Birx, a member of Trump’s Coronavirus Task Force and one of two leading medical experts on the team, revealed on Monday that over the weekend she chose not to treat her sick 10 month old granddaughter who had a temperature of 105, because she didn’t want Trump or Pence to get sick.

“We need to take care of each other now as Americans. And I know they’re tough,” Birx said. “My grandchild of 10 months had a fever of 105 this weekend. I’m a doctor, and I couldn’t get there. So I’m trying to explain to my daughter how to listen to her lungs.”

“You could not get there?” Trump, 73, asked Birx as she was speaking.

“I could not go there!” Birx quipped back, prompting Trump to say, “Good, I’m glad to hear it.”

“I did not go there, because of you two,” Birx said in reference to Trump and Pence, 60. “I mean, you can’t take that kind of risk with leaders of the country.”

Trump’s Tweet – The Moon is part of Mars

And Republicans rejoice! They love the incompetence in the White House.

The President of the United States, (I still shudder to say that) is once again putting his ignorance on full display. In a feeble attempt to talk about defense and science, Trump tweeted some usual nonsense including saying that the moon is part of Mars.
