Another Trump Lie – Obama Supports My Border Wall – Video

It’s not my job to constantly point out Trump’s lies, that will be a full-time job with guaranteed overtime. No, I don’t have the time or the resources, or quite frankly the web-space on my server to point out all the lies coming from the Trump White House. My server is only capable of holding a few hundred thousand pages. I wouldn’t be able to keep up!

However, every once in a while, I am compelled to focus in on a lie, like when Trump said President Obama supports his border wall fantasy.

Before making the trip to the border on Thursday, Trump tweeted this: “President Obama, thank you for your great support – I have been saying this all along!

Here are the facts:

THE FACTS: Obama’s remarks in the short video clip do not support Trump’s proposal for a border wall or endorse the path Trump is considering now: declaring a national emergency that might enable him to circumvent Congress and unilaterally spend money on the wall. Instead, Obama was asking Congress to approve an emergency appropriation to deal with a surge of tens of thousands of unaccompanied children and youth, mostly from Central American, trying to cross the border from Mexico.

“We now have an actual humanitarian crisis on the border,” Obama said at the time, accompanied by Vice President Joe Biden. He was referring specifically to the surge of minors that year.

That crisis eventually eased as the U.S. stepped up border enforcement, surveillance and resources for the waves of unaccompanied children. Now, a sharp increase in the number of families at the border, coupled with the Trump administration’s hard-line stance, is overwhelming border resources, worsening a backlog in the asylum system and leaving migrants to live in abysmal conditions on the Mexican side.

President Obama Defends Trump Supporter’s Right to Protest – Video

While campaigning for Hillary Clinton in North Carolina on Friday, President Obama defended a Trump supporter who tried to disrupt the president’s speech. Naturally, the crowd tried to shout down the lost Trump soul, but the president stood up for the man.

“Everybody sit down and be quiet for a second,” Obama said. “You’ve got an older gentleman who’s supporting his candidate,” he added. “He’s not doing nothing. You don’t have to worry about him.”

“We live in a country that respects free speech,” the president later said. “Don’t boo, vote.”

President Obama to Trump – “Stop Whining!” – Video

In a press conference in The Rose Garden, President Obama called out Donald Trump for his unfounded criticism of the voting process and for “threatening the peaceful transfer of power.”

“I have never seen in my lifetime, or in modern political history, any presidential candidate trying to discredit the elections and the elections process before votes have even taken place,” the president said. “It’s unprecedented. It happens to be based on no facts.”

The president continued;

“The notion that somehow if Mr. Trump loses Florida it’s because of ‘those people’ that you have to watch out for, is both irresponsible, and by the way, doesn’t really show the kind of leadership and toughness that you’d want out of a president.”

“You start whining before the game’s even over, if whenever things are going badly for you and you lose you start blaming somebody else, then you don’t have what it takes to be in this job.”

“But the larger point that I want to emphasize here is that there is no serious person out there who would suggest somehow that you could even, you could even rig America’s elections, in part because they’re so decentralized, and the numbers of votes involved. There’s no evidence that that has happened in the past, or that there are instances in which that will happen this time.”

“And so, I’d advise Mr. Trump to stop whining and go try and make his case to get votes.”

“Anything is possible” says Obama on a Trump Presidency

The current president of the United States has come to terms with the fact that Donald Trump – arguable one of the worst choice Republicans have made to run for president – could win in November.

“Anything is possible,” Obama said in an interview that aired on NBC’s “Today” show Wednesday. “It is the nature of democracy that until those votes are cast and the American people have their say, we don’t know.”

“As somebody who has now been in elected office, at various levels, for about 20 years,” the president continued, “I’ve seen all kinds of crazy stuff happen.”

At a news conference in February, Obama rejected the idea that voters would elect Trump to succeed him in the Oval Office.

“I continue to believe Mr. Trump will not be president,” Obama said. “And the reason is because I have a lot of faith in the American people, and I think they recognize that being president is a serious job. It’s not hosting a talk show or a reality show, it’s not promotion, it’s not marketing, it’s hard. And a lot of people count on us getting it right, and it’s not a matter of pandering and doing whatever will get you in the news on a given day.”

President Obama Talks About his Legacy on Race Relations – Video

President Obama has cut short his trip abroad to come home and address the high tension between the black community and those hired to protect and serve, the police. But while the President visited Poland, he was asked to talk about what his legacy on Race Relations in America will be after he leaves office.

“More than anything, what I hope is that my voice has tried to get all of us, as Americans, to understand the difficult legacy of race; to encourage people to listen to each other; to recognize that the legacy of slavery and Jim Crow and discrimination didn’t suddenly vanish with the passage of the Civil Rights Act, or the Voting Rights Act, or the election of Barack Obama; that things have gotten better, substantially better, but that we’ve still got a lot more work to do… We plant seeds, and somebody else maybe sits under the shade of the tree that we planted.”

Jake Tapper Lambasted Trump for Suggesting Obama Sympathizes with Terrorists – Video

You know it was going to happen.

Donald Trump was appropriately slammed and scrutinized by sensible Americans over the last week for his racist attacks on a Federal Judge, and he has looked for a way out since the words about the judge fell out his mouth. Well Trump may have found a way to end the bleeding… albeit temporarily.

Today, the Republican presidential nominee went on Fox News and suggested that President Obama – the same president who waged a very successful war against ISIS and other terrorists in the Middle East – is a terrorist sympathizer.

CNN’s Jake Tapper had something to say about that!

White House Responds to Larry Wilmore Calling Obama “My N*gga” – Video

Mine was one of the millions of mouths that dropped to the floor Saturday night when comedian Larry Wilmore dropped the “N” word when referring to President Obama. “My n*gga,” as he ended his White House Correspondents Dinner comedic monologue.

The shock of hearing someone used that word while talking about the president was just momentary though, as the president seemed to go along with Wilmore’s characterization of him. Mr. Obama smiled, tapped his chest with a closed fist then made the peace sign, as if to say, it’s all good!

“I’m confident that Mr. Wilmore used the word by design. He was seeking to be provocative,” White House spokesman Josh Earnest said during a press briefing. “But I think any reading of his comments makes clear he was not using the president as the butt of a joke.”

Earnest compared Wilmore’s performance to Stephen Colbert, who faced criticism for his White House Correspondents Dinner speech during the Bush administration. Wanda Sykes also ignited controversy in 2009, Earnest noted, after she made fun of conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh.

“It’s not the first time we’ve had a conversation about this,” he remarked.

Earnest said the president “appreciated the spirit of the sentiments that Mr. Wilmore expressed.”

President Obama on Michelle Becoming President – “NO!” Not Happening – Video

Her approval numbers are almost twice that of the President, so when the question was raised about Michelle possibly running for president at some point in the future, President Obama emphatically answered, “NO!”

“There are three things that are certain in life,” the President said as he spoke with voters in Louisiana, “death, taxes and Michelle is not running for president.”

NRA Responds to Obama’s Call for Background Checks – He’s Coming For Your Guns!!!

It’s more of the same from the NRA, after today’s emotional plea for meaningful background checks from the President. In a brand new statement pushing the same old lines, NRA claims President Obama’s call for action is nothing more than politics, and that Mr. Obama is coming for your guns!

In a statement from the executive director of the National Rifle Association’s Institute for Legislative Action, Chris W. Cox, the usual talking points are heard.

The statement read;

Once again, President Obama has chosen to engage in political rhetoric, instead of offering meaningful solutions to our nation’s pressing problems.  Today’s event also represents an ongoing attempt to distract attention away from his lack of a coherent strategy to keep the American people safe from terrorist attack.

The American people do not need more emotional, condescending lectures that are completely devoid of facts. The men and women of the National Rifle Association take a back seat to no one when it comes to keeping our communities safe.  But the fact is that President Obama’s proposals would not have prevented any of the horrific events he mentioned.  The timing of this announcement, in the eighth and final year of his presidency, demonstrates not only political exploitation but a fundamental lack of seriousness.

The proposed executive actions are ripe for abuse by the Obama Administration, which has made no secret of its contempt for the Second Amendment.  The NRA will continue to fight to protect the fundamental, individual Right to Keep and Bear Arms as guaranteed under our Constitution.  We will not allow law-abiding gun owners to be harassed or intimidated for engaging in lawful, constitutionally-protected activity – nor will we allow them to become scapegoats for President Obama’s failed policies.

An Emotional President Obama Talks About Mass Shootings and Guns – Video

The hurt was apparent on President Obama today as he brought together an audience at the White House for an announcement on upcoming executive actions on background checks. At one point, the emotional toll on the president was so heavy, it caused the tears to flow.

Below is the complete video of the president’s announcement on sensible background check measures he is proposing. Watch this video and witness a president who really cares about the American people, and is willing to stand on his own through executive actions to protect Americans.

While talking about the massacre at Sandy Hook where 20 elementary kids were slaughtered, the President broke down, pausing at various times to whip tears from his eyes.

“Every time I think about those kids, it gets me mad,” Mr. Obama said. “And by the way, it happens on the streets of Chicago every day!”

Remember when Republican Rudy Giuliani said this president doesn’t care or love America?

President’s Weekly Address – Doing Something about Guns

A few days ago, word surfaced that President Obama was considering executive actions on gun control. There was nothing concrete, but the rumors were alive and well. Now, on the first day of 2016, the president himself is making it known that he will act on what he calls, “unfinished business,” more specifically, enforcing real background checks on gun purchases.
