Now how cool… wait a second, I’m talking about the President of the United States here… how kool is this?
President Obama, takes time out of his busy schedule to get coffee with Jerry Seinfeld… in a 1963 silver Corvette Stingray.
Too Kool!
The president and his family is vacationing in Hawaii, but even there – far away from the White House – eyebrows are being raised as another CIA mishap allowed someone or something to get a little too close to the president.
The president was traveling in his motorcade after a game of golf, when a man took his drone to the sky and flew it right alongside the president’s car. The man was quickly identified and told to land his quadcopter-style drone. He “immediately complied with law enforcement requests to cease and desist,” the statement said. No charges were filed and the motorcade did not stop or slow down because of the incident.
According to the statement, the man was “completely unaware” that the president was traveling in the area.
The CIA has come under attacks in recent months for allowing one too many close encounters with the president. From allowing a fence jumper at the White House to run all the way to the East Room, to allowing an armed contractor to ride an elevator with the president, the CIA’s protection detail of the president is questioned too often these days. And now this.
We can all be thankful of the job the CIA is doing most of the time to protect the First Family, but we should also be thankful that the man with his drone was “completely unaware” of the president’s motorcade. Can you imagine what could have happened if this drone was armed and the encounter was intentional?
Do your job CIA. Don’t just do it 99% of the time, do your job ALL the time!

Republican presidential hopeful Rick Santorum went to a Presidential Family Forum in Iowa and lied to the people, telling them that President Obama refuse to drop bombs on ISIS, although the president has ordered 6,000 airstrikes on the terrorist group so far, and counting…
“We have a president who won’t even identify ISIS as Islamic nor will he identify it as a state,” Santorum said. “He says we can’t bomb them because we can’t recognize them as a state because it will give them too much prestige; we can’t say they’re Islamic because it will give them too much credibility. This is delusional and it’s costing lives.”
The U.S.-led bombing campaign against ISIS has killed over 20,000 ISIS fighters and helped Kurdish forces retake cities such as Sinjar, Kobani and Tel Abyad.
Most of what Trump says is completely nonsense. But it is his nature to double and triple down on said nonsense when someone points out how wrong he is.
Except in this case.
On Monday, speaking to a group of supporters looking for their daily dose of red meat, Donald Trump offered them this nugget to feast on – Trump told them that President Obama “is thinking” about signing and executive order to take away their guns.
“You know, the President is thinking about signing an executive order where he wants to take your guns away. You hear about this? Not gonna happen. That won’t happen. But that’s a tough one, I think that’s a tough one for him to do. There’s plenty of executive orders being signed, you know that. And we can’t let that go on.”
Besides the fact that Trump is not a mind reader, doesn’t have a crystal ball and thus, cannot know what the president is thinking, Trump’s followers got their red meat and went away happy, filled with even more reasons to hate the President.
But someone in the media asked Trump to explain his sources. How the heck would he know what the president is thinking?
Then it hit him. Trump realized he was caught and tried to weasel his way out of the issue, telling the media that he probably heard about Obama’s thinking from the media itself. And he even called the media “good sources,” something Republicans are trained not to do.
Speaking on CNN, Trump answered the question about his sources this way;
“No, no. I’ve heard that he wants to. And I heard it, I think, on your network. Somebody said that that’s what he’s thinking about. I didn’t say that he’s signing it. I said I think that would be a tough one to sign actually. I would say it would be impossible. But nevertheless he was thinking about it. And I’ve heard it from numerous networks. And I’ve read it in the papers. You know. My source is the papers. So, you know, they’re pretty good sources.”
Meanwhile, as the red meat festers in their stomach, his base is sure to stockpile their weapons, waiting for the eventual war with Obama when he comes knocking.
In his address to the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute, president Obama took on some of the Republican presidential candidates and their backward stance on immigration. And although he did not mentioned names, allow me to say Donald Trump!
“There’s nowhere they want to go further backwards than on immigration,” said the president, who noted his administration’s progress on reducing the Latino unemployment rate and providing more health care to the minority group.
Although he did not address him by name, Obama appeared to direct some of his comments at Republican front-runner Donald Trump, who has taken one of the toughest stances of any presidential candidate on illegal immigration.
“You’ve got to realize that America’s greatness doesn’t come from building walls, our greatness comes from opportunity,” Obama said.
Trump, whose campaign slogan is “Make America Great Again,” has vowed to build a wall between the U.S. and Mexico to stop illegal border crossings. He has also been criticized for making a series of disparaging remarks about Mexican immigrants.
Reminds me of an episode of Naked and Afraid, where the contestants came upon a dead rodent. Almost dying of thirst and hunger, the naked contestants ponder whether to eat the deceased animal. They did not know how long the animal had died, they did not know what caused its death or if it had a disease. But hunger is a mother-father, and the decision was made to feast on the beast!
No, the president wasn’t naked, not I’m not sure if he was afraid. But he and his guide came across a dead salmon, partly eaten by a bear. “Why wouldn’t the bear finish this sucker?” the President asked. His guide, a man named Bear Grylls, answered that bears usually eat the fattest parts of the meat, along with the eggs and skin.
And with that, the rest of the salmon carcass was put on a fire and cooked up. The President’s only critique? That there weren’t any crackers to go with the fish.
“It would have been nice if we had a cracker to go with it,” Mr. Obama said.

While he is lied about and unappreciated here in the lower States, President Obama is getting the royal treatment in Alaska.
President Obama’s meet-and-greet with local educators in Kotzebue Middle High School started normally enough. But then Sandy Shroyer-Beaver, the regional school board president, explained to the president, “It’s our culture to welcome you with an Eskimo kiss, a practice in which two people rub noses.”
Obama assented, but Shroyer-Beaver — who is 5’4” told him, “You’ve got to come down here.” Obama obligingly bent his knees, she said in an interview, and the two rubbed noses.
“Wow, it was cool. Let’s do another,” Obama said, according to Shroyer-Beaver, and the two did a repeat.
Then Obama turned to Cheryl Eden Shaw, director of the Alaska Technical Center in Kotzebue, and gave her an Eskimo kiss as well.
“You should have seen the look on his staff,” Shroyer-Beaver said as she stood on Shore Avenue a couple of hours after the exchange, waiting for the presidential motorcade to leave town. “That alone was worth it.”
Again. And you thought this was settled back in 1964. Nope. We’re still fighting for the right to vote thanks to the Conservative controlled Supreme Court.
President Barack Obama urged Congress to restore a key part of the Voting Rights Act, writing in a letter to the editor in The New York Times Magazine published Wednesday that voting rights for all Americans must be “vigorously defended.”
Obama referenced a piece from The New York Times Magazine published in late July by Jim Rutenberg that detailed the 50 years of efforts to roll back the protections established by 1965’s landmark Voting Rights Act.

“These efforts are not a sign that we have moved past the shameful history that led to the Voting Rights Act. Too often, they are rooted in that history,” the president wrote. “They remind us that progress does not come easy, but that it must be vigorously defended and built upon for ourselves and future generations.”
Obama made specific mention to 94-year-old Rosanell Eaton, who is a plaintiff in the ongoing North Carolina case against voting restrictions implemented two years ago, arguing that the law was written to discriminate against black voters.
“I am where I am today only because men and women like Rosanell Eaton refused to accept anything less than a full measure of equality. Their efforts made our country a better place. It is now up to us to continue those efforts,” he wrote.
The Supreme Court struck down key provisions of the voting law in a 2013 decision that required states to receive federal approval before they change election laws.

Once again, those in the Republican party are on the wrong side of the issue. Especially those who call themselves “Christian Conservatives.” It is no news to anyone that today’s Republicans strongly reject equal pay for women. They have actually gone on record crying foul at the president for his support of equal pay. And now, even the Pope is siding with the President, and calling for equal pay for equal work for women.
Pope Francis on Wednesday made an impassioned plea for an end to the salary gap between men and women, calling it “a scandal” that Christians should decisively reject.
“Why is it taken for granted that women must earn less than men? No! They have the same rights. The discrepancy is a pure scandal,” he told tens of thousands of people at his general audience in St. Peter’s Square.
Raising his voice for emphasis as he made some of his most forceful remarks on the subject to date, he said Christians should “decisively support the right to equal pay for equal work.”
Women in the European Union were paid 16.4 percent less than men on average in 2013, according to statistics agency Eurostat. United States Census Bureau data indicate women earn 77 cents for every dollar a man earns, based on annual median salaries.
According to a new poll by Quinnipiac University, 58% of Americans stand with the president on the new Iran nuclear plan.
According to the new poll released earlier this week, a majority of Americans believe the new plan should get the approval of Congress, with 33% rejecting the plan altogether.
But 77% say they want to plan to succeed instead of a military intervention, as proposed by Congressional Republicans.
“Americans are worried about Iran, but not enough to send in the troops,” said Tim Malloy of Quinnipiac.
The poll was taken between April 16 and 21 and surveyed 1,353 registered voters.
