London’s Muslim Mayor – Trump will Stop Me from Visiting America

Although Donald Trump’s “ban all Muslims” policy has not gone over well with sensible Americans, much of the Republican Party – even some in Congress – have endorsed and signed on to his nonsense. And now the first Muslim mayor of London and one of America’s biggest ally is speaking out.

“I want to go to America to meet with and engage with American mayors,” Sadiq Khan, London’s new mayor told Time magazine in an interview conducted after he won the mayoral race over the weekend.

“If Donald Trump becomes the president, I’ll be stopped from going there by virtue of my faith, which means I can’t engage with American mayors and swap ideas,” he added.

Khan, whose opponents sought to characterize him as a radical, accused his rivals of taking a page “straight out of the Donald Trump playbook.”

“Conservative tacticians thought those sort of tactics would win London and they were wrong. I’m confident that Donald Trump’s approach to politics won’t win in America,” he told Time.

Trump’s Voice is Heard in Sick Video Promoting Brussels Terrorist Attacks

The nine minute video was released just days after the deadly terrorist attacks in Brussels, where 30 innocent lives were lost. And in the video, which was produced by Al Battar Media, Republican presidential candidate, Donald Trump played a cameo role for the terrorist sympathizers.

While a map of Europe burns, Trump is heard  on the video saying;

“Brussels was one of the great cities, the most beautiful cities in the world 20 years ago. It was amazing, actually, and safe. And now it’s a horror show.”

I will not show the video here, but if you really want to see it, the YouTube video is here.

NY Police Commissioner Slams Ted Cruz – “He doesn’t know what the hell he’s talking about”

New York Police Commissioner, Bill Bratton, is not a fan of fools. That will explain why Bratton took offense to a statement by Republican presidential candidate, Ted Cruz, who, in response to the deadly terrorist attacks in Brussels, called for increased police surveillance in Muslim neighborhoods as the answer to stop ISIS and Islamic extremist terrorists.

“He doesn’t know what the hell he’s talking about, to be quite frank with you. I took great offense to that statement,” Bratton said. “I have almost 1,000 Muslim officers in the NYPD. Ironically when he’s running around here we probably have a few Muslim officers guiding him.”

Cruz was confronted by the comment when he appeared on “CBS This Morning” later, and replied:

“It’s not surprising that the Democratic political henchmen of Mayor de Blasio are coming after me, and that is on the instructions of Mayor de Blasio,” Cruz said.

Cruz continued, pointing to an earlier program put in place by former mayor Michael Bloomberg, which Cruz said “worked proactively with the Muslim community to stop radicalization.”

“Mayor de Blasio decided to come in, and decided that political correctness mattered more than keeping before safe… he disbanded the program,” Cruz said.

The Muslim surveillance program, or “Demographics Unit,” or “Zone Assessment Unit” in New York City was disbanded in 2014 . Law enforcement officials have admitted the program, which began in 2003 in wake of the 9/11 attacks, never generated any viable leads, CBS New York reported in an earlier story.

Man Plotting New Years Eve Attack Arrested in New York

Twenty five-year old Emanuel Lutchman, was arrested by FBI today because of his plot to carry out a terrorist attack in Rochester New York on New Years Eve. Lutchman was communicating with a man who turned out to be a paid FBI informant, detailing his sick plan to attack a bar in Rochester, possible abducting people and beheading them, as his allegiance to ISIS.

Over Christmas, he was in contact with someone he described as an ISIS operative in Syria and asked the operative what he should do for ISIS if he can’t make it to Syria, according to documents. The operative ultimately suggested Lutchman plan an operation for New Year’s and kill “1000000s of coffer” — referring to non-believers, according to the FBI.

On Monday, Lutchman allegedly met with one of the FBI informants and told the informant he was “getting amped up to accept the fact that’s what I gotta do.”

“We just gotta show our allegiance [to ISIS]. I’m ready to lose my family,” he allegedly said. Later in the day, Lutchman and the informant discussed placing a bomb in a club-bar and then drove past one, picking it out as the target, according to the FBI. The two also allegedly discussed a plan to kidnap and then kill victims.

“I will take a life, I don’t have a problem with that,” Lutchman said, according to the FBI.

On Tuesday, the pair allegedly went to a Walmart in Rochester to purchase supplies, including ski masks, zip-ties, a machete and duct tape. The next day, Lutchman was arrested — and the FBI seized a video he made on his cellphone taking responsibility for the attack and pledging his allegiance to ISIS.

Ugliness in the Season of Beauty

I usually look forward to the December holidays because, for at least one month, people in the United States tend to he hopeful, helpful, optimistic and happy. They look backward at the year that was and take stock, and they look forward with anticipation at what the new year will bring.

This year, things are most certainly different. The terrorist attacks here at home and in France, Afghanistan, Iraq and other places have sapped some of the love and light from the season. We are a scared nation with no clear path forward. Want to brutally bomb Syria? An option. Want to send ground troops to Syria and Iraq? Another option. Want to create a coalition of American, European and Middle Eastern countries to fight ISIS and other terrorist groups? A third option. But none of these seem like THE option and they all involve terrible risks both overseas and at home.

President Obama has been steadfast in his insistence that we will not send masses of American troops to Syria or Iraq and I think that’s exactly the correct strategy for now. He has rightly been criticized for downplaying the ISIS threat and for not standing behind his threat to attack Syria if Assad used Chemical weapons, but most Americans do not want to see our men and women coming home in body bags. The old joke is that we shouldn’t elect anyone who actually wants to be president because it’s a terrible, impossible job. These are the times.

The focus on attacks from radical terrorists has overshadowed the home-grown terror that has also shaken the nation.  The killings at the Planned Parenthood clinic in Colorado Springs was quickly forgotten in the wake of San Bernardino, but both were shocking events by people who were motivated by hatred, a misplaced fanaticism, and unbending ideology. In both shootings, the perpetrators should never have been allowed to get their guns, but because we are rapidly making the Second Amendment more important than the First, more people will get guns and use them on innocent people.

The other event that is dampening the holiday spirit is the presidential election. The Republican candidates are falling over themselves to blame Muslims and immigrants for our problems and have created an atmosphere where attacks on American Muslims are rising, and overreactions to a school assignment in Virginia that led to the entire school system being shut down because a teacher asked her students to copy a passage from the Koran using calligraphy. Dangerous, inflammatory rhetoric has its consequences and we are now living those consequences.

The left also has its problems when it comes to these issues. Calls for safe spaces and trigger warnings on college campuses only serve to segregate students and ideas, making common cause that much more difficult. If a person doesn’t feel safe in the general population, that’s a problem that needs to be addressed head-on. The answer is not to provide areas where people can retreat to or have their ideological bubble re-inflated.

The unfortunate aspect of this particular racist, phobic spasm we’re living in now is that it’s a very American trait. In fact, it’s more a part of our history than acceptance of different people and ideas. We eventually do make room in our society for those we first shun and isolate, but it takes too long and we backslide far too often. One need only look at how African-Americans and Latinos are treated by police forces to understand just how much more work we need to do on justice, even as we celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Civil Rights Act.

We will eventually move forward as a country and I’m looking forward to a shift in tone from politicians and a shift in attitude from many of my fellow Americans. In the meantime, I wish you peace and joy, humility and introspection, thoughtfulness and forthrightness, love and honor. And let’s turn the ugliness around. Now.

French Teacher Stabs Himself then Said ISIS Sympathizer Stabbed Him

Thank God he wasn’t in America. With his crazy mindset, he could have easily picked up a gun at your friendly neighborhood gun store and committed another episode of mass murder.

The teacher said he had been attacked while alone in a classroom in Aubervilliers, a suburb of Paris.

But prosecutors said he had wounded himself with a box cutter and was now being questioned as to why he lied.

France remains on high alert following the terror attacks in Paris on 13 November that left 130 people dead.

The 45-year-old teacher – who has not been named – has been treated in hospital for superficial wounds to his side and neck.

According to his account, a man had attacked him with a box cutter at about 07:10 (06:10 GMT) on Monday and had shouted: “This is for Daesh [Islamic State]. It’s a warning”.

Obama’s Message to ISIS Leaders – “You’re Next” – Video

Maybe because of all the noise we’ve heard from the Republican presidential candidates lately, that President Obama is “doing nothing about ISIS” and “Obama has no plan” for ISIS, that caused the President to hold this brief press conference, reminding Americans and the world of all the successes the US led coalition against ISIS is having.

Surrounded by some of his top generals, the President outlined a few of the things his administration and coalition forces have done, including the nearly 9,000 bombs dropped on ISIS targets as of December 14th, and the taking out of ISIS leaders, “one by one.”

The President stressed the point that “ISIL cannot hide,” saying that “our message to their leaders is, ‘you’re next.'”

President’s Weekly Address – Fighting Terrorism – Video

President Obama used his weekly address to once again address the terrorism fears in American and worldwide, and the steps his administration has taken and will continue to take, in fighting the terrorist threat.

This week, Americans across our country have shown what it means to be strong in the face of terrorism. In San Bernardino, even as the community continues to grieve, people are refusing to be ruled by fear. Across the county, dedicated public servants are on the job – and more will be returning to work this week. Faith communities have come together in fellowship and prayer. Families lined the streets for the annual children’s Christmas parade—because we can’t let terrorists change how we live our lives.

Meanwhile, our men and women in uniform are stepping up our campaign to destroy ISIL. Our airstrikes are hitting ISIL harder than ever, in Iraq and Syria. We’re taking out more of their fighters and leaders, their weapons, their oil tankers. Our Special Operations Forces are on the ground—because we’re going to hunt down these terrorists wherever they try to hide. In recent weeks, our strikes have taken out the ISIL finance chief, a terrorist leader in Somalia and the ISIL leader in Libya. Our message to these killers is simple—we will find you, and justice will be done.

This week, we’ll move forward on all fronts. On Monday, I’ll go to the Pentagon. And there, I’ll review our military campaign and how we can continue to accelerate our efforts. Later in the week, I’ll go to the National Counterterrorism Center. There, I’ll review our efforts—across our entire government—to prevent attacks and protect our homeland. And this week, the Department of Homeland Security will update its alert system to ensure Americans get more information, including steps that you and your communities can take to be vigilant and to stay safe.

Mohammed Ali Responds to Trump’s “Ban All Muslims” Proposal

“I am a Muslim and there is nothing Islamic about killing innocent people in Paris, San Bernardino, or anywhere else in the world,” Ali, who some consider the greatest boxer ever, said in the statement. “True Muslims know that the ruthless violence of so called Islamic Jihadists goes against the very tenets of our religion.”

Ali also asked Muslims to “stand up to those who use Islam to advance their own personal agenda.”

“I believe that our political leaders should use their position to bring understanding about the religion of Islam and clarify that these misguided murderers have perverted people’s views on what Islam really is,” he said.

Mohammed Ali was of course responding to Republican leader Donald Trump’s call to ban all Muslims from entering the United States. In other words, Trump is essentially pushing a religious test to come to America. Something that clearly violates the constution, but is apparently supported by much of the Republican Party.

Rick Santorum Blames Obama for Not Bombing ISIS – Fact: 6,000 Airstrikes and Counting

Republican presidential hopeful Rick Santorum went to a Presidential Family Forum in Iowa and lied to the people, telling them that President Obama refuse to drop bombs on ISIS, although the president has ordered 6,000 airstrikes on the terrorist group so far, and counting…

“We have a president who won’t even identify ISIS as Islamic nor will he identify it as a state,” Santorum said. “He says we can’t bomb them because we can’t recognize them as a state because it will give them too much prestige; we can’t say they’re Islamic because it will give them too much credibility. This is delusional and it’s costing lives.”

The U.S.-led bombing campaign against ISIS has killed over 20,000 ISIS fighters and helped Kurdish forces retake cities such as Sinjar, Kobani and Tel Abyad.
