TIME TO SHOVE A BIG PHILLY CHEESESTEAK IN CHRIS MATTHEWS MOUTH

As seen on America The Not So Beautiful

June 20, 2014

By Mike Caccioppoli

What the fuck is wrong with Chris Matthews? Of all the people for the “tough” Philadelphia talker to go after he chooses Elizabeth Warren? Are you fucking kidding me? What a slimy, chicken shit Matthews has become. Don’t go after people like Rand Paul, Ted Cruz, John Boehner or Mitch McConnell. No, go after the ONE person in all of Congress who has the nerve to stand up for the American people on issue after issue. OK there is also Bernie Sanders, but Warren has been a real fighter from day one.

Matthews chastised Warren for not doing enough. NOT DOING ENOUGH!? He blamed the Democrats for not passing vital legislation. The DEMOCRATS?! Matthews has been around long enough to know how this shit works. He knows the Republicans control the House, the TEA PARTY controls the House. He knows the Republicans in the Senate filibuster everything. The TEA PARTY filibusters everything. He knows this shit inside and out because he has talked about it.

So..why go after Warren and the Democrats? This is a game that Matthews has been playing for years. He cares only about his ratings so he tries to grab as many viewers from both sides as possible. What he does is simply flip flop. He is no better than a guy like John McCain or Rand Paul, or Ron Paul, who tell one audience one thing and another audience the exact opposite. All in an attempt to get as many votes as possible from both sides. It’s a sneaky, shitty little game and it proves that Matthews is full of shit.

This is why he can say something very incisive one moment and then something totally idiotic the next. He wants to be MSNBC and FOX all wrapped into one obnoxious package. It’s about ratings folks, it’s about staying afloat when times have maybe passed you by. This is why he rarely lets his guests talk. If he had allowed Warren to explain the facts to his audience, he would be left with egg on his face. So he talks, asks a question, doesn’t let the guest answer and talks over them. It’s a basic bully host tactic. Works all of the time.

I would NEVER be a guest on a show when someone like Matthews or O’Reilly is in charge. They will always be in control, able to manipulate the conversation, cut you off, have the last word. Matthews likes to have morons like Michael Steele and John Feehery on his show. Anyone would seem like a genius sitting across from these Republican hacks. Notice you don’t see these guys on too many other shows. How would a guy like Feehery survive a bout with let’s say..Ed Schultz or Lawrence O’Donnell??

But let’s get back to Matthews and Warren. I’m glad she was able to get a few words in here and there. I heard something like “Stop this!” Warren was having enough of Matthews bullshit. Only the true idiots of America think Matthews has a valid point when he blames the President and the slight Democratic majority in the Senate for the failure to get legislation through. Who shut down the gov’t Chris? Who has blocked more legislation than any other Congress in history? What Congress has done less, and worked fewer hours?

Matthews knows the simple answer to these questions. He knows that no legislation can pass without the House.  He knows that Warren is a fighter despite the obstacles. He knows lots of things. But the one thing he knows the best is that he loves his job and he wants to keep it. Like most of these people he wants to keep it till he drops dead on air. The ego is a very powerful thing.

It’s Matthews ego that turns the self proclaimed “straight talker” into a bullshitter of the highest order.

Elizabeth Warren – Building Wealth Isn’t Magic, We “know how to do this”

In another interview, Chris Matthews of MSNBCs Hardball decided to go after Elizabeth Warren, the progressive congressional soldier from Massachusetts with the uncanny ability to speak the language of the hardworking American middle class.
Matthews, playing his now usual closet Republican role, tired attacking Mrs Warren on, among other things, creating wealth and opportunities for hard working Americans.

And like the true progressive soldier she is, Warren fought back, explaining to the Teaberry defender that the recipe for creating wealth is investing in the middle class, like we did after the Great Depression.

“Well, you know, this isn’t magic. We actually know how to do this. We did this for nearly half a century, coming out of the great depression until about 1980. We made the investments together that helped build opportunities for all of us.”

“I went to a commuter college that cost fifty dollars a semester. It opened a million doors for me. How could I go to a school that cost fifty dollars a semester? Because I grew up in an America that said, we collectively, all of us, are going to make those investments in education so that any kid, who works hard, who plays by the rules, who tries to get out there and make something of herself, is going to have a fighting chance to make that happen.”

Warren then explained exactly where things went wrong to Mr Matthews – in 1980 when the god of the Republican party got elected and implemented his reagonomics and the concept of Trickle Down Economics, that is, give to the rich and hope they’re not to greedy to throw some crumbs your way.

“It changed in the 1980′s,” Warren continued, “when the Republicans came up with a different vision. They said, ‘Eh, that’s not how you build an economy. The way you build an economy is you let those at the very top, the richest and the most powerful, keep more of their money and more of their power, and somehow it’s going to trickle down for everybody else.’”

Another MSNBC Employee Fired Over Right-Wing Made Up Hysteria

MSNBC is at it again. Bowing to the blowback of the right-wing lunatics and again, apparently firing another employee. This time, the network fired someone over a tweet. Yes a tweet.

In 2013, Cheerios made a commercial using an interracial family. The blowback from the racists was unbelievable. The ad however, was a total success prompting Cheerios to release another. Referencing the second ad, someone on Wednesday used the official MSNBC Twitter handle and tweeted this;

“Maybe the rightwing will hate it, but everyone else will go awww: the adorable new #Cheerios ad w/ biracial family.”

The Republican party and the right winged media went even more nuts. Reince Priebus, RNC Chairman immediately wrote a letter to MSNBC and called for a boycott of the station. That’s all that was needed, as MSNBC again, bowed to the manufactured Republican pushback on a non-issue.

And earlier today Phil Griffin, head of MSNBC issued the following statement;

The tweet last night was outrageous and unacceptable. we immediately acknowledged that it was offensive and wrong, apologized and deleted it. We have dismissed the person responsible for the tweet.

I personally apologized to Mr. Priebus and to everyone offended. At MSNBC, we believe in passionate, strong debate about the issues and we invite voices from all sides to participate, that will never change.

Chalk yet another one up for the made up hysteria of the Republican right wing.

Sarah Palin’s Victory Lap – Responds to Fox News After Martin Bashir Resigns

The woman who Martin Bashir described as “America’s dunce” went to the safe confines of Fox News and commented about Bashir’s resegnation from MSNBC. Palin, who usually have too many words coming out of her mouth before her brain actually formulate the thought, was true to form today when asked about Bashir’s resignation.

“My role is to accept his apology and be humble enough to accept it and move on,” Sarah said. “But I just hope that unprovoked attacked like that don’t result in people being hesitant to jump in the arena anyway. To get out there and serve the public or start a business or commit themselves to changing within their family their community their world doing whatever that they can despite the fact that in this world you are gonna be hurt and attacks will come your way. I don’t I just hope that an attack like that doesn’t make people hesitate.”

Egged on by the hosts at Fox News to comment on why MSNBC didn’t fire Bashir instead of allowing him to resign, Palin stated that she was indeed happy that the same “lame stream media” she attack every chance she gets, came to her rescue.

Well it was refreshing to see though that many in the media did come out and say ‘look our standards have got to be higher than this.’ Those with that platform with a microphone a camera in their face they’ve got to have more responsibility taken.

The entire interview felt like a victory lap for those sitting on the Fox News set, as Palin took the bigger person role in a battle she quite frankly started.

Back in early November, Palin equated the national debt to “slavery,” proving that she knew nothing about slavery or what the slaves actually lived through. Martin Bashir tried to educate Mrs Palin, by quoting life stories from a diary of a slave owner. Bashir’s goal was to show Palin that if she really had any idea what slaves lived through, she would not have made such a dumb comparison.

Because of some of the words Bashir used to paint a real slavery picture for Palin, he ended up apologizing a few days later. Yesterday, he sent in his resignation to the bosses at MSNBC.

MSNBC’s Martin Bashir Resigns After Sarah Palin Comment

Personal Note: I disagree with Bashir decision to resign today. His accurate and insightful take on the disfunction in today’s politics and the Republican party will be greatly missed.

MSNBC host Martin Bashir resigned Wednesday following controversy surrounding remarks he made on his show in November about former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin.

“Upon further reflection, and after meeting with the president of MSNBC, I have tendered my resignation,” Bashir said in a statement. “It is my sincere hope that all of my colleagues, at this special network, will be allowed to focus on the issues that matter without the distraction of myself or my ill-judged comments.”

In a segment that aired on his show in November, Bashir called Palin a “world class idiot” after she equated the United States borrowing money from China with slavery.

Citing a diary item describing various punishments for slaves, Bashir added that Palin should be forced to eat excrement.

The host later apologized on air for his remarks and took a leave of absence.

“I deeply regret what was said, will endeavor to work hard at making constructive contributions in the future and will always have a deep appreciation for our viewers – who are the smartest, most compassionate and discerning of all television audiences,” Bashir said in his statement Wednesday.

MSNBC President Phil Griffin said in a statement: “I understand his decision and I thank him for three great years with MSNBC. Martin is a good man and respected colleague — we wish him only the best.”

Donald Trump Calls Chuck Todd “one of the dumbest voices in politics”

MSNBC’s Chuck Todd must have really crawled under the Trump’s tulip. On Friday, Trump stayed behind the safety of his computer screen and unleashed a barrage of hate filled tweets against Mr. Todd.

The maturity level is amazing low. And to think Republicans actually considered voting for him to be their presidential nominee in 2012.

MSNBC Shakeup – Chris Hayes Will Take Ed Schultz’s Timeslot

Chris Hayes will take over the 8 p.m. time slot on MSNBC in the next month, the channel is expected to announce on Thursday morning, the day after the current host of that hour, Ed Schultz, said he was moving from the weekdays to the weekends.

Mr. Hayes, a liberal intellectual who has hosted a well-regarded weekend morning program on MSNBC for the past 18 months, is a protégé of Rachel Maddow, the highest-rated host on the channel. He will become the lead-in for her 9 p.m. program, “The Rachel Maddow Show.”

The change is predicated on the belief that MSNBC can win a wider audience with Mr. Hayes than it did with Mr. Schultz, a champion of the working class whose bluster didn’t always pair well with Ms. Maddow and the channel’s other prime-time program, “The Last Word with Lawrence O’Donnell.” Mr. Hayes, on the other hand, is just as wonky as Ms. Maddow and Mr. O’Donnell, and is a regular contributor to both of their programs.

Bob Woodward And David Axelrod Face Off Over Supposed “Threat” – Video

Both men were on MSNBC’s  Morning Joe and the confrontation was almost immediate due to Woodward’s claim that an email he received from the White House amounted to a “threat.”

Woodward, a well respected journalist, has been in the news all week because of some of his reporting, where he blamed President Obama as the originator of the Sequester. The White House has been on the defensive since Woodward’s claim, leading to the confrontation between the two men on Friday.

“When the full e-mails came out, they were as cordial as can be,” Axelrod said to Woodward on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.” “His e-mail was cordial, and your response was cordial. So if you felt threatened, why didn’t you say to Gene, ‘Don’t threaten me?’”

“You are putting words in my mouth,” Woodward responding, adding he never said he felt “threatened.” “I said, ‘I don’t think this is the way to operate.’”

Axelrod retorted: “I’m not putting words in your mouth, Bob. It’s your newspaper that said you said you were threatened.”

A Washington Post story posted Thursday did originally say in the headline that Woodward claimed the White House “threatened” him. The headline has since been changed.

On Fox News on Thursday night, Woodward said, “The problem I have with the Gene Sperling email — and this comes after a shouting match, lot’s of people shout at me — is that goes into the coded, ‘you better watch out’.”

The duo later debated whether Obama “moved the goalposts” on sequestration by insisting tax revenues be part of the package to avert it.

Is Ed Schultz Losing His MSNBC Job To Ezra Klein

Since the departure of Keith Olbermann from MSNBC some years back, Ed Schultz has unofficially picked up Keith’s banner and ran with it. He is now considered by some one of the most liberal host on the cable network. And with that label, Ed’s primetime television slot at 8PM weeknight receives a decent size audience. But according to reporting by The New York Times, Ed’s show may soon be history.

Brian Stelter, a Times Media reporter wrote a piece about the future of MSNBC and compared the liberal leaning network to Fox News – the more conservative network. And coming to the end of the piece, Brian wrote:

Several MSNBC employees, who spoke about programming plans on the condition of anonymity, said the most likely candidate for a new show was the Washington Post columnist Ezra Klein, a frequent substitute for Ms. Maddow. Mr. Klein may start with a weekend time slot, but these people said the 8 p.m. weekday time slot held by Mr. Schultz was also a possibility.

Mr. Griffin, meanwhile, declined to comment on whether the performance of his prime-time lineup would provide a boost to the channel’s subscriber fees.

Of course the denials would come. When asked about this claim by Mediaite,  a spokesperson for MSNBC released the following statement:

“We’re very happy with the performance of our primetime lineup, which topped Fox News Channel three nights this week. There are no changes planned.”

Republican Debate – A Record Flip Flop For Romney – Video

A Republican debate happened yesterday and Romney stood above the fighting fray, walking away with little or no real attacks on him or his record.

A Republican debate happened today, and things were much different, as Romney took swings from Rick Santorum and Jon Huntsman.

But Newt Gingrich took to the floor with one clear goal in mind. He wanted the audience to know the truth about Romney and his SuperPAC’s attempts to derail his candidacy with negative ads. Romney had previously said that he knew nothing about the actions of the PAC, or who they were. But today, he flip-flopped on that claim too.

Watch below, as Romney claimed he hadn’t seen any of the ads Gingrich was talking about, only to turn around and perfectly describe the ads he didn’t see.

Donald Trump Gets Angry – Yells At Chuck Todd In Interview

That’s what you get when you ask a  nincompoop on your show for an interview. You get a nincompoop response to your question and everyone else watching collectively say, “you asked for that, you should have known better!”

That’s what MSNBC’s Chuck Todd got today when he tried interviewing Donald Trump. Straight off the bat, Donald went into a tirade, accusing Todd of lying and making sure the world know that MSNBC called him, The Donald, and not the other way around.

Chuck Todd asked Donald to respond to a poll of Republicans, where the majority of respondents said they are not likely to vote for a candidate endorsed by Trump. This made Trump livid. We’re sure he popped his wig at the poll’s suggestion that he is not as popular with Republicans as he would like to think.

Donald Trump is a regular on Fox News program. You can bet Fox will show this clip on a loop when the nincompoop makes his next appearance.
