Jon Stewart On The Eric Cantor Occupy Wall Street Hypocrisy

Jon Stewart sums it up perfectly when showing the hypocrisy of the entire Republican party, especially that of Eric Cantor. Broadcasting Cantor’s call for the Teaparty to take to the streets in protest, Stewart then compares Cantor’s reaction to that of the Occupy Wall Street movement.

Stewart shows different clips of Cantor and other Republican leaders encouraging the Teaparty to march to “take the country back,” but when Occupy Wall Street began doing the same, they were called “mobs” by these same leaders.

Stewart then surmised that Cantor had to be the one kid on the playground who’d always throw the ‘yo mama’ jokes at everyone, you know, playing the dozens. Then as soon as another kid tried to respond, Cantor stops the kid and accuses him of  “dividing the playground.”

Yep, that’s Cantor for you!

Firefighters – Call And Tell Congress To Pass The Jobs Bill

A new ad running in different states are urging Americans to call congress and tell them to support President Obama’s jobs bill. The group responsible for the ad is The International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF).

The bill has $35 billion in funding to help pay for staffing at fire and police departments across the country as well as at schools — that includes $1 billion in funding to protect firefighters’ jobs. The IAFF estimates that 15,000 firefighter and paramedic jobs have been lost or are threatened due to lack of funds.

Mitt Romney Is A Gangster – Manhandles Rick Perry

There’s no doubt about it. How else would you explain his actions last night, when in the middle of a heated discussion with Rick Perry – where punches were almost thrown – Romney initiated contact with his rival by putting his hand on Perry’s shoulder? That’s a no-no. People have died doing stuff like that. In the middle of an argument, you just don’t touch your opponent.

I know people in Brooklyn who got a good beating just for looking at a rival during an argument.

The issue? Undocumented  immigrants, or as the Republicans like to call them – illegal aliens. Rick Perry and his sinking poll numbers, needed to bring everything he had to the debate. He needed to knock Romney off his pedestal. So what did Perry do? He brought up a story that Rudy Giuliani tried in the last presidential debate. A story about Romney hiring “illegals” to work on his lawn.

Yes, it was a weak attack. When Rudy Giuliani brought it up in the last presidential election, the accusation had more of an effect. People wanted to know what was happening with Romney, the landscaping company he hired and the undocumented workers they sent to cut his lawn. And many people believed Giuliani’s attack caused irreparable damage to Romney, thus contributing to his failed campaign.

But that was 2008 and Romney was ready this time around. As the words began falling from Perry’s mouth, Romney began replying and a shouting match ensued.

“I’m speaking, I’m speaking!” Romney said, as the two yelled back and forth. At this point, Romney did the unthinkable and made contact. “Are you just going to keep talking?” Romney asked Perry, standing  just a couple of feet to his left. “Are you just going to keep talking?”

“Have at it!” Perry replied, obviously upset that Romney had the nerve to touch him.

Romney then dug into Perry again, calling him “testy” because of  his dismal past debates, to which the audience began applauding, signaling their approval of the way Romney manhandled Perry. In my imagination, I could see Romney gesture off stage, then cousin Vinnie appeared heading towards Rick Perry with one goal – to take him out, and I’m not talking a dinner date. But that didn’t happen, at least not in last night’s debate. I cannot guarantee the thought did not cross Romney’s mind though.

Yes ladies and gentlemen, the Gangster was in the house last night, and he is leading the way for the Republican nomination!

Imagine that!

New Prediction – The End Of The World Is This Friday

Yes, Friday, and we’re not talking about the Ice Cube Movies either.

Harold Camping, the Family radio evangelist who wrongfully predicted that May 21st 2011 would be the end of the world, is at it again. This time, Mr. Camping is saying the end will come next Friday, October 21st, 2011.

So what happened on May 21st? Mr. Camping had this explination;

What really happened is that God accomplished exactly what He wanted to happen. That was to warn the whole world that on May 21 God’s salvation program would be finished on that day. For the next five months, except for the elect (the true believers), the whole world is under God’s final judgment.

So according to Camping, if you weren’t saved on or before May 21st, then you have some very serious issues as next Friday approach.

One can only wonder if the Evangelist Camping ever read the book of Mark, Chapter 13, verse 32 – when Jesus’ apostles asked about the end times. Jesus answered, But of that day and that hour knows no man, no, not the angels who are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father. Take you heed, watch and pray: for you know not when the time is.”

No one knows “but the Father.” Does this mean Harold Camping thinks he is “The Father?”

Oh Wow!!!

The Whole World Is Watching – Police Brutality In San Francisco

You thought the New York Police Department was the only one attacking peaceful protesters for… protesting? Think again.

The San Francisco Police Department has successfully added their interpretation of  “excessive police action” to the historic movement that is Occupy Wall Street, with their actions earlier tonight in California.

To chants of  “The whole world is watching!”,  police, apparently irritated with the peaceful crowd and their video cameras, took a page from the NYPD. They began destroying the Occupiers food supply, then later, tossed the protesters around as they made their arrests.

To serve and protect has taken on a whole new meaning, and it doesn’t seem to include the people at Occupy Wall Street.

Republican Leader Leaves Party Because Of Herman Cain

The Republican party is shedding their loyal members one by one. This time its Lauro Antonio Garza, the Republican leader of Somos Republicans, a Texas Republican group that caters to conservative Hispanics.

Mr. Garza sat back and listened to the recent claims by Herman Cain, that an electric fence along the border states would be the way to keep illegals out of the country. When asked about those irresponsible statements on this week’s Meet The Press, Cain said he was joking. No one in the Republican leadership however, had any problems with Cain’s careless remarks, and this silence from the Republican leadership was the last straw for Mr. Garza.

Below is his letter.

GOP leadership: Beyond Reprehensible

How much distance has been travelled since President George W. Bush left office? To us at Somos Republicans, the answer is, ‘Way too much!’ We fear that for most of the Republican Party, the answer is, ‘Not far enough!!’

Today, we find the Republican Party has strayed from its roots and its founding principals so far that they can no longer be seen. We saw this yesterday, in the glare of broad daylight, when a leading presidential candidate, Herman Cain, not once, but twice, advocated for the murder of innocent people and that was met with cheers! Somos Republicans, America’s largest organization of conservative Hispanics, was alone in its criticism of this loud mouth hateful bigot. He says he was ‘joking.’ Nobody here is laughing! The fact the GOP allows and applauds such outrageous thoughts is beyond reprehensible.

To us, the idea of allegedly ‘Pro-Life’ people shouting for the un-Constitutional use of deadly force is unbelievable. Then, too, we shouldn’t be surprised since Republican leaders have been advocating for the nullification of the American Constitution in states like Arizona, Georgia and now Alabama. When did Republicans, once synonymous with ‘conservative,’ become so liberal as to attack their very own Bill of Rights in the 4th and 14th Amendments?!

Where is Republican leadership? Where has the guiding principal of ‘Morality’ gone?! If the Republican Party cannot or will not rebuke this hateful bigot and others like him who wear the mantle of ‘Republican’ then perhaps the time has come for a rebuke of the Party itself!

Ronald Reagan left the Democrat Party saying they had left him. Perhaps, I shall do the same because the Republican Party has become radical and unreasonable. President Reagan must be tumbling in his grave!

President Obama On The Road Again For The American Jobs Act

The President began another three-day trip on Monday, as he continues his push to put Americans back to work. Mr. Obama will visit cities in both North Carolina and Virginia, telling the American people of his jobs bill that will keep teachers and emergency responders on the job, while providing for infrastructure funds to hire thousands more workers.

In the first vote on the President’s $447 billion jobs bill, Senate Republicans unanimously defeated the legislation. But the President is not giving up the fight. He told the crowd at an airport in Asheville, North Carolina, “We’re going to give members of Congress another chance to step up to the plate and do the right thing. Maybe they just couldn’t understand the whole all at once. So we’re going to break it up into bite-size pieces so they can take a thoughtful approach to this legislation.”

At another stop at a high school in Millers Creek, the President told the crowd of about 2000 supporters, “I need you to give Congress a piece of your mind. Tell them what’s at stake here… There are too many of our fellow Americans hurting and you can’t stand by and do nothing. Now is the time to act.”

Watch the President’s speech below.

The Picture Mitt Romney Doesn’t Want You To See

This cannot be the image the Romney campaign wants the voters to see, so that’s why we’re showing it.

LOL.

Here we find the multi-million dollar Republican presidential candidate, from his time at Bain Capital. Romney is doing what Romney does best, no, not flip-flopping, but basking in the royal favor of his Wall Street buddies. And what could be better than having them stuff your pockets with cold hard cash!

No wonder Wall Street is giddy with excitement over the idea of a Romney presidency

A Marriage Proposal – Occupy Wall Street Style

How original is this?

What’s the perfect way to ask the one you love to “occupy your life?” You use the “people’s microphone,” get down on one knee and with hundreds looking on and repeating everything you say, you make your proposal in the middle of a protest movement.

Now that’s original!

Nine Nine Nine Means More More More

Herman Cain finally came to his senses today on Meet The Press and admitted that – yes, his 9 dollars and 99 cents plan would raise taxes on some individuals. “Some people will pay more. But most people will pay less,” Cain told David Gregory, when asked if the middle class would be paying more under his plan.

Herman Cain’s entire pizza and a soda tax plan depends on overhauling the entire Federal tax system. When asked how he planned to get that done in a politically divided Washington, Cain replied that “it can be done.” Gregory asked what was he basing his claims on, to which Cain replied that it’s based upon “the many speeches I’ve given.” He goes on to say that the American people will make it happen.

Yes people, Herman Cain can get anything done in Washington, based on the many speeches he’s given. If it wasn’t for Michele Bachmann and Rick Perry, Herman Cain would be the dumbest person ever to run for President of the United States.

Apparently Cain thinks very little of the American people’s intellect. The dream world he’s living in has convinced him that middle class America would support a plan that would allow the government to dig even deeper into their already empty pockets.

Wake up Cain, you can get more if you dig in the pockets of the Koch brothers. But you wouldn’t do that, would you?

President Obama Delivers Speech At Monument For Dr. King – Video

Today, President Obama joined thousands in Washington to commemorate the new monument for Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

“For this day, we celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s return to the National Mall. In this place, he will stand for all time, among monuments to those who fathered this nation and those who defended it; a black preacher with no official rank or title who somehow gave voice to our deepest dreams and our most lasting ideals, a man who stirred our conscience and thereby helped make our union more perfect.”

The President acknowledge that although we as a nation have made progress, “our work, Dr. King’s work is not yet complete.” The President spoke about the various “tests” we have gone through, but urge everyone to remember Dr. King’s tenacity.

“And just as we draw strength from Dr. King’s struggles, so must we draw inspiration from his constant insistence on the oneness of man. The believe, in his words that, ‘we are caught in an inescapable network on neutrality, tied in a single garment of destiny.'”

And the President called for unity in our divided political arena, saying if Dr. King was here today, “…he would want us to know that we can argue fiercely about the proper size and role of government without questioning each other’s love for this country. With the knowledge that in this democracy government is no distant object, but is rather an expression of our common commitments to one another. He would call on us to assume the best in each other, rather than the worst. And challenge one other in ways that ultimately heal, rather than wound.”

Mr. Obama ended by expressing his optimism for America’s future saying, “as tough as times may be, I know we will overcome, I know there are better days ahead, I know this because of the man towering over us, I know this because of all he and his generation endured, we are here today in a country that dedicated a monument to that legacy.”
