Rand Paul Drops Out of Republican Presidential Run

Rand Paaul, one of the only Republicans running for president who actually had some sensible things to say, found out the hard way that sensibility in today’s Republican party takes you nowhere.

The Kentucky Senator was forced to end his presidential campaign due to a lack of support from the GOP base.

“It’s been an incredible honor to run a principled campaign for the White House,” Paul said in statement.

“The fight is far from over,” he said. “I will continue to carry the torch for Liberty in the United States Senate and I look forward to earning the privilege to represent the people of Kentucky for another term.”

Chalk up another win for the ignorant.

Rand Paul – Ted Cruz “is a Natural Born Canadian” #Truth

If I had to pick sides in this fight over Ted Cruz’s Canadian birth to an American mother, and whether that Canadian Birth qualifies Cruz as a “Natural Born” American, I will definitely side with Rand Paul.

Paul is one of the more sensible people on the Republican side running for president, sensible probably because he is not really a Republican, but a libertarian.

Paul went on Fox News today and answered the question that lawyers and constitionalists have wondered about ever since Ted Cruz entered the Republican  presidential nomination contest – whether or not Cruz was a natural born American citizen. Rand Paul’s answer took the confusion out of the issue and simplified it enough that even the Supreme Court would understand.

“Cruz is a natural-born Canadian,” Paul said. “He was naturally born there. The question is, can you be natural-born Canadian and natural-born American at the same time? Maybe, but I think the courts will have to decide it, because it’s never really been decided.”

Still confused? That’s the problem. Sometimes we look at the simplest of issues and confuse the hell out of them. If Ted Cruz was born in Canada, then he is a Natural Born Canadian with an American mother. It’s really not that confusing.

Rand Paul Smacks Down Donald Trump’s Nonsense about TPP – Video

Now, a lot of people don’t like the new trade deal by the Obama administration and 11 other countries, and like Donald Trump ignorantly showed in tonight’s debate, a lot of people don’t like the deal although they have no clue about what the deal entails.

In tonight’s debate, Donald Trump was answering a question about TPP, and he went on a rampage talking about China and how they are using the deal to “manipulate their currency” and how much he hates the deal because “it is a deal designed to allow China to come in, as they always do, through the back door.” After spitting his nonsense for well over the allotted time, Rand Paul casually chimed in with, “we might want to point out that China is not part of the deal.”

Trump had nothing else to say.

Kentucky Republicans Break State Law for Rand Paul’s Presidential Run

The law in Kentucky was as clear as day! No one was allowed to run for two political offices at the same time.  And everyone understood that law and did the grown-up thing of deciding what office they wanted to run for. But here comes Rand Paul with his greedy plan to run for the Republican nomination for president AND – at the same time – run for re-election to the Senate.

Yes, the rule is clear. But over the weekend, the Republican controlled government in Kentucky broke the law to allow one of their own to run for two offices at once. How? With an overwhelming 111 to 36 vote to change the presidential nomination election in Kentucky to a regular caucus vote and to hold that vote earlier than usual – on March 5 next year.

“I applaud the Republican Party of Kentucky on their decision to hold a caucus in the upcoming Republican presidential cycle,” Paul said in a statement. “The people of Kentucky deserve a voice as the GOP chooses their next nominee, and holding a caucus will ensure that Kentucky is relevant and participates early in the process.”

“I am also grateful for the Republican Party’s trust in me, allowing me to run for re-election to the U.S. Senate and seek the nomination for the Presidency of the United States,” Paul said.

Can you imagine if a Kentucky Democrat had even thought of breaking the law to further his or her own selfish political ambitions? All Republican hell would break loose!

Sicko Rand Paul Staffer Licks Democrat’s Camera Lens – The Sicko Video

These are the people hired to help run the Rand Paul presidential campaign. Somehow, I’m not surprised that this is the impulse of this Republican campaign staffer.

The incident happened at a Rand Paul campaign event in New Hampshire.

Jon Stewart Slams Science Deniers on the Whole Vaccination Debate – Video

Yes, if there is a debate going on there are obviously those who are for and against something, and yes, in the case of vaccinating children against measles and the like, those for vaccination are usually liberals and those against it are usually Republicans and conservatives – you know, the science deniers.

Stewart however, managed to find a liberal in California who appear against the idea of vaccination. When asked if she had her kids vaccinated against measles – over 100 cases diagnosed since January 2015 – she thought for a while and then answered, “kinda.” Stewart of course, had some words for this woman.

But he also had something to say about the likes of Rand Paul and Chris Christie who both appeared in separate clips touting “personal freedom” as reasons not to vaccinate children. But it was the way Stewart ended the segment that left a lasting impression… at least on me.

In breaking down the reason to vaccinate, Jon Stewart likened America to an old farm house out in the middle of nowhere, and he compared measles as zombies trying to get into the house. The only way to keep these zombies out of the house was to board up the doors and windows. Everyone in the house was responsible for boarding up their area, but there was one lady from California who read somewhere that zombies will not come in, so she left here windows and doors unprotected.

Zombies, ah, measles made their way inside, infecting or eating all the survivors, just because one idiot failed to vaccinate! Get it?

Watch the video.

FactCheck – Rand Paul’s Claim about Vaccination is Totally “baseless”

Dr. Rand Paul is a Republican running for President in 2016. That said, Rand Paul is running around the country telling people that “many” children have developed “profound mental disorders” after getting vaccinations.

Dr. Rand Paul is running trying to be the next president of the United States! O.M.G!

FactCheck.org looked into this claim by the doctor and has determined that Paul is one doctor who doesn’t know what the hell he’s talking about!

There is no evidence that any currently recommended vaccine causes brain damage or other mental disorders in otherwise healthy children. Severe reactions do occur but are extremely rare.

Vaccine safety has become a central topic in recent weeks as a measles outbreak that began at Disneyland in California has spread. Between Jan. 1 and Jan. 30, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported that 102 people had confirmed cases of measles, a disease that the CDC declared “eliminated” from the United States in 2000 because of the highly effective vaccine. In recent years, a small but growing number of parents have avoided the measles, mumps and rubella vaccine because of fears related to debunked and fraudulent science.

Paul, a Republican from Kentucky who is considering a 2016 presidential bid and who also formerly was a practicing physician, said on CNBC that vaccines could cause serious problems in children.

Paul, Feb. 2: I have heard of many tragic cases of walking, talking, normal children who wound up with profound mental disorders after vaccines.

The senator’s office was unable to provide a single example of a vaccine causing a mental disorder; nor did his office provide any information on the specific type or types of mental disorders or vaccines that caused disorders to which Paul was referring. We contacted several experts on immunizations, however, and all of them agreed that there are no such links between common vaccines and mental disorders.

Rand Paul on Charlie Hebdo and Islam – It Is a “barbarous aberration of a religion”

Rand Paul appeared on The Sean Hannity radio show today to discuss, among other things, the recent shooting on Charlie Hebdo in France, and while talking to the Fox News host, Rand Paul, a top Republican actively pursuing the White House in 2016 said, “That barbarous aberration of a religion is opposed to the free flow of ideas.”

Even though the two suspects still at large were reportedly born in France, Paul soon brought up immigration policy, suggesting, “You’ve got to secure your country. And that means maybe that every Muslim immigrant that wishes to come to France shouldn’t have an open door to come.” He continued: “It’s also my concern here. I think our border is a danger to attack, as well as our student visa program. Several of the attackers on 9/11 were here on student visas they had overstayed.”

When Hannity quoted a New York Times editorial saying it’s no time “to smear all Muslims with a terrorist brush,” Paul laughed. “I think they must be totally deaf and dumb,” he said, “Because, think about it. I haven’t seen any Christians or Jews dragging people of the Islamic faith through the streets, but I am seeing the opposite. I’m seeing Christians beheaded, I’m seeing people who say anything about Islam being shot, unarmed, being shot.”

He continued: “And so, yeah, should the rules always protect everyone’s rights? Yeah, but I’m not worried too right now that we’ve infringed on their rights, I’m worried that Christians and Jews are being killed around the world.”

Alison Lundergan Grimes – Rand Paul “can’t be on the ballot twice for two offices.”

In her first televised appearance since being beaten by Mitch McConnell by a 15 point margin, Alison lundergan Grimes, Kentucky’s Secretary of State, is laying down the law for Rand Paul – that he cannot run for Senate and the presidency at the same time.

“The law is clear,” Grimes told WHAS-TV in Louisville. “You can’t be on the ballot twice for two offices.”
“We’ll look to the court for any guidance that is needed,” she added. “And at the end of the day, we’re not going to be bullied.”

Grimes also told the Louisville ABC affiliate in the interview published Wednesday that she has not decided whether to seek a second term as secretary of state in the 2015 election.
The 36-year-old left no doubt that she continues to harbor political ambitions beyond the Bluegrass State’s chief elections official. She would be a top Democratic recruit to run for Senate in 2016 if Paul bows out.

Rand Paul Throws Libertarianism Under the Bus – Demands Military Action Against ISIS

Libertarian Republican Senator Rand Paul is in the news again, not because he said something and then decided he didn’t say it – that was last month’s news when he said that he would have voted for the Civil Rights Act, despite many recordings of him saying that he opposed the act. Sidenote – Those recordings do exist!

No, today, Rand Paul is in the news again because he has apparently forgotten the most basic principle of being a Libertarian – minding your own darn business even when it comes to foreign policies.

And Paul has often stated just that – that America should indeed mind our own business and not be the police of the world, that we should let the other nations take care of their own issues. But today in an op-ed, Rand Paul is now demanding military action to take care of ISIS.

“The military means to achieve these goals include airstrikes against ISIS targets in Iraq and Syria,” the Kentucky Republican and likely 2016 presidential hopeful wrote in an op-ed in TIME. “Such airstrikes are the best way to suppress ISIS’s operational strength and allow allies such as the Kurds to regain a military advantage.”

Paul’s hawkish turn comes after months of hedging and skeptical comments regarding U.S. involvement in Iraq and Syria. Yet Paul boasted on Thursday that as president he would have committed to a grand plan to eliminate ISIS earlier and more effectively than President Obama.

“If I had been in President Obama’s shoes, I would have acted more decisively and strongly against ISIS,” Paul said. “I would have called Congress back into session—even during recess.”

Another Sidenote: Rand Paul is not only trying to be president in 2016, he is also trying to unseat Mitt Romney as the official Flip-Flopper-In-Chief!

Watch Rand Paul Run, Trying to Escape The Dreamers – Video

So Steve King and Rand Paul were at a fundraiser in Iowa, eating burgers and meeting supporters. No problem here, politicians do that all the time. But then something strange happened, two Dreamers were ushered to the table to meet the Republicans and when they identified themselves as “Dreamers,” Rand Paul stuffed his mouth with his last bite and sprinted way out of town!

Reminded me of Usain Bolt!

Steve King was forced to explain his controversial “calves the size of cantaloupe” comment, but Paul, the man who is vowing to be Republicans’ fearsome leader and be the President of this country in 2016 was no where to be found.
