The Most Raucous Town Hall Yet, Against A Republican

This town hall by Republican Representative Dan Webster is being considered by most as the most “raucous” yet, where those in attendance shouted down the freshman representative and were even scolded by the police.

A town-hall meeting held in Orlando by U.S. Rep. Dan Webster degenerated into bedlam Tuesday, with members of the crowd shouting down the freshman Republican congressman and yelling at one another.

It could be a sign of things to come for Webster, a staunch conservative in a competitive district that Democrats hope to recapture in 2012. Last week, Webster took heat from conservative tea party members for not pushing hard enough to cut the federal budget.

But Tuesday, the heat came from the other side.

The event was the last of a series of town-hall meetings Webster has held during Congress’ spring recess, which ends Monday. While the others were civil and largely uneventful, the 300 people at Tuesday’s meeting were so raucous they were scolded by a police officer to act “like grown people.”

2012 can’t get here fast enough.

Investigation Finds President Obama Was Born In Hawaii

This case is closed. CNN has done what many other organizations have done, and they have found the same answer – that President Obama was in fact, born in Hawaii. The Birthers must be crazy!

The revelation, although everyone with a brain knew it to be true, must have come as a shock to the Birther community. The group, presented by every conceivable form of proof legally available, maintains that they know for a fact, that the president was born in Kenya. What proof do they have? …….um, well they’re still working on that.

So CNN has joined the long list of reputable news organizations to debunk this conspiracy. Is this going to make a difference to the Birthers? Nope. No one ever accused them of wanting anything to do with facts!

Presenting part 1 of CNN’s investigation.

Countdown With Keith Olbermann Comes To Current T.V

The new date is set. The time, the place and oh yeah… the name. Keith Olbermann’s new show is not really new. It maintains the same name – Countdown With Keith Olbermann – and it maintains the same time slot – 8PM Est, 11PM Est and 2AM EST. But according to the video release by Mr. Olbermann, Current’s version of Countdown will be a little more edgy.

And the ‘when‘? It will be in June. Could this new Countdown be in direct competition to MSNBC’s 8, 10 and 2am time slot, now hosted by Lawrence O’Donnell’s The Last Word? After all, these were the times the old Countdown had on that network. Should O’Donnell be concerned?

Mr. Olbermann tells more in the video below.

John Boehner Thinking Like A Democrat On Oil Subsidies

It is a policy that makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. Giving oil companies billions of taxpayers dollars every year in subsidies, at a time when these same companies are making billions of dollars in profits. And the decision to continue these subsidies depends on what side of the political aisle you’re on. Democrats think the subsidies are a waste of money, and Republicans think that keeping the subsidies in place “creates jobs.”

Well, one very powerful Republican leader is sounding more and more like a Democrat on this issue. John Boehner, the Republican Speaker of the House told ABC World News that taking another look at these subsidies might be the way to move forward.

“We certainly ought to take a look at it,” Boehner said. “We’re at a time when the federal government’s short on revenues. We need to control spending but we need to have revenues to keep the government moving.”

For example, Boehner said big oil companies don’t need the so-called oil depletion allowance, but that taking it away from smaller producers would mean even less domestically produced oil. The allowance allows producers a tax deduction comparable to the break given manufacturers for depreciation of the value of an investment in plants and equipment.

Boehner is the most powerful Republican in Washington and his remarks could signal a significant change of heart. Republicans have blocked attempts by Democrats to curb oil company subsidies.

The subsidies have been a haven for the oil companies. One report shows that while America went through the biggest oil spill in history off the Gulf coast in 2010, “BP was reaping sizable tax benefits from leasing the rig. According to a letter sent in June to the Senate Finance Committee, the company used a tax break for the oil industry to write off 70 percent of the rent for Deepwater Horizon — a deduction of more than $225,000 a day since the lease began.”

The report continues;

“The flow of revenues to oil companies is like the gusher at the bottom of the Gulf of Mexico: heavy and constant,” said Senator Robert Menendez, Democrat of New Jersey, who has worked alongside the Obama administration on a bill that would cut $20 billion in oil industry tax breaks over the next decade. “There is no reason for these corporations to shortchange the American taxpayer.”

Although John Boehner is considered the most powerful Republican in Washington, he answers to a group of people who believe in corporate welfare.  The Teaparty, the so-called grassroots organization, believes that  giving money to billionaires under the guise of “trickle down economics,” is the only way to get America back on good economic ground.

With the news of Boehner possibly changing his mind on these subsidies, you can bet there will be marches on Washington by the Teaparty, trying to keep those poor billionaire oil empires off the unemployment line.

Glenn Beck Attacks Donald Trump And The Birther Movement

For almost two years, Glenn Beck reigned as the top crazy of the Republican Conservative nutty right-wing movement. He was their leader, their savior, their king. But even the most ardent supporter of Glenn Beck watched as his Titanic-like  iceberg slowly approached, and they abandoned ship before the inevitable.

But Beck’s people needed a  leader, and Donald Trump came along at just the right moment to fill the void. Feeling he’s still relevant, and possibly envious seeing another occupy his beloved throne, Glenn Beck launched his attack. “Donald Trump took investment money from George Soros to build the Trump Tower in Chicago” he yelled from the highest mountaintop, believing that associating Trump with Soros – the liberal boogie-man Glenn Beck created as the single most despised man in America – would result in Trump’s downfall. It didn’t.

Next, Beck and his allies began attacking what made Trump so popular amongst the conservatives in the first place – The Birther issue.

As we reported here at EzKool, the law in Hawaii prohibits any vital record from being transferred, or even photocopied. What Hawaii allows is a Certificate of Live Birth, which the President released almost 4 years ago.

Beck and his crew continued their vicious attack;

“For him to release his own birth certificate, you would have to be advocating for him to be above the law. You cannot. They can’t release it. Even to the president. He can examine it himself there. Would you believe him if he examined it and said it looked real? Would ya? I’d love to see that.”

This is not the first time Beck has attacked The Donald. In a televised interview with Bill O’Reilly, Beck said;

‘There is something reasonable to, you know, a reasonable conversation if you don’t believe that he has a birth certificate.

‘You can say, “I don’t believe he has a birth certificate.” But then he goes into “I do not believe he has a birth certificate” and then he releases one that’s worse than Obama’s.

‘And then he comes back and he says on your program, “He might be a Muslim too.” I’m like, come on!’

Come on indeed. Now Beck knows what the rest of sane America was saying when he went on his nightly rampage of lies and mis-information. Anyone who held a difference -of- opinion to that of The Beckster were ridiculed, laughed at, and tied to all manner of conspiracies to destroy America.

Beck is angry! His message was taken… no, stolen from under him. And he’s not going down without a fight!
