Mitt Romney Implies That Stay-At-Home Moms Have No Dignity

Over the last week there has been a Republican manufactured hoopla about stay-at-home moms. All of a sudden, Republicans are trying to get women’s vote in the 2012 Presidential election due to a recent poll that shows women supporting President Obama by double figures over Mitt Romney.

So to close this gap, Republicans are trying to capitalize on something Hilary Rosen said, that Ann Romney – Mitt Romney’s very rich wife – “did not work a day in her life.”

But if you listen to what Mitt Romney as recently as January of this year, Romney himself is implying that mothers who stay at home have no work dignity.

Republicans have engaged on a war on women and this Romney video is just another example of that war!

Mitt Romney Suggests That Stay-At-Home-Moms Don’t Work

LOL. These Republicans are so transparent we could see right through them.

Republicans are now trying to manufacture a political crisis using stay-at-home-moms and the words of Democratic Strategist Hilary Rosen. Ms Rosen said on CNN that Ann Romney – wife of Mitt Romney – “did not work a day in her life” and that she did not face the same economic hardships many women face today.

This prompted Ann Romney to take to Twitter, tweeting “I made a choice to stay home and raise five boys. Believe me, it was hard work.”

Although the words of Hilary could have been said differently, her words are true. But since a recent poll showed that women are heavily in favor of President Obama over his Republican challenger Mitt Romney, Republicans think this issue will gain them favor with women.

Their hope is that women will forget the last 3 years when Republican governors throughout the nation engaged in a war on women – taking away women’s health care, attacking women’s right to choose, ending their equal pay for equal work and blocking legislations in congress meant to protect violence against women. Yes, Congressional Republicans have been blocking the Violence Against Women Act!

With all that in mind, Republicans are trying to pretend that they are for women’s rights and they are doing it by trying to paint Democrats as being against stay-at-home-moms. They are calling this attack the Democrat’s war on stay-at-home-moms, and they are claiming that Democrats think stay-at-home-mom’s don’t work.

But as it turns out, Mitt Romney is the one insinuating that Stay-at-home-moms don’t work. In the video below, Romney is heard saying that in today’s economy, households need two incomes to succeed. And listening to Romney, it sounds as if he is saying that what stay-at-home-moms do, is not work.

Take a look at what Mitt Romney said in 1994 – “this is a different world than it was in the 1960s when I was growing up. When you used to be able to have mom at home and dad at work. Now mom and dad both have to work.”

These People are Not Reagan Republicans, These People Are Impostors

Ronald Reagan, the god of the Conservative agenda, said this, “do you think the millionaire ought to pay more than the bus driver or less?” The audience is heard in the background screaming, “MORE!”

The clip below compares what was said back in the 1980’s under the Reagan Republican presidency, to what is said now under the Obama Democratic presidency. The similarities between the two presidents on the issue of taxes are uncanny, and those similarities are what we now refer to as the Buffett Rule – asking the wealthiest among us to pay more in taxes than the average bus driver or secretary.

Today’s version of the Republican party believes that the poor should pay more than the rich and they go out of their way – even signing various pledges – to make sure the rich gets more at the expense of the poor… a move often called class warfare.

So while praising their leader, we will never hear today’s Republicans talk about Reagan’s position on taxes because these people are of a totally different breed than Reagan. The people we see  masquerading around as Republicans are what we can affectionately call impostors!

Mitt Romney – “Planned Parenthood, We’re Gonna Get Rid Of That”

Mitt Romney finally began talking about some of the things his administration would do to balance the budget, and one if those things seems to be getting rid of Planned Parenthood – the organization that provides health benefits like cancer screenings to millions if women throughout this country. Referring to Planned Parenthood, Romney said, “we’re gonna get rid of that.”

To help nail this irresponsible Romney policy home, the DNC created this video.

A Younger Version, Same Ole Barack – Video

Republicans have corralled around this video like scavengers zeroing in on a dead prey. The video taken in 1991 shows a young Harvard Law President named Barack Obama giving a speech. This video, Republicans claim, shows “how radical” young Barack was because he spoke in favor of more diversity among the faculty.

This blast from the past, featuring Obama speaking on behalf of prominent Harvard Professor Derrick Bell at a protest calling for greater faculty diversity, was provided to BuzzFeed from WGBH Boston, and uploaded to YouTube on Tuesday.

President Obama’s Message to Mitt Romney – “Good Luck Tonight… Really!”

In his first solo press conference of the year – held coincidentally on Super Tuesday – President Obama  was asked what his message to Mitt Romney was after Romney claimed that he [Obama] was “America’s most feckless President since Carter.”

The President answered confidently, “good luck tonight.”

One can only imagine what the presidential campaign have up their sleeves for Romney when the general election begins. And thanks to the Republican candidates and their almost record-breaking negativity, we know the President’s arsenal on Mitt has definitely grown.

Apparently, the President cannot wait for the general elections to start!

Rick Santorum Calls President Obama a “Snob” for Wanting Students To Go To College

Rick Santorum is not as dumb as he sounds. He actually went to college and got a decent education. But as you listen to the Republican presidential leader (or close to it), Santorum’s comments leave you wondering.

The latest claims by Santorum is that President Obama is a “snob” for wanting “everyone to go to college.” If that is the case, can we assume that Rick will return the various degrees he received from the American education system? Is he gonna return his BA from Pennsylvania State University, or the MBA he received from the University of Pittsburgh, or how about the JD he got from Dickinson School of Law.

Or maybe this level of education is right for Santorum and those close to him, but if that same opportunity to go to college  is offered to anyone else, then there’s something snobbish about that. And why is it not snobbish for Santorum to have that level of education, but against anyone else getting it?

Hypocrite galore!

Ron Paul Thinks “Honest Rape” is Okay… Dishonest Rape Is Apparently Not Okay

Ron Paul, presently in the Republican race to be president of the United States, appeared on CNN’s Piers Morgan Show and made some very controversial news. Morgan put a hypothetical question to Paul…what would you do if one of your daughters were raped and became pregnant.

“If it’s an honest rape, that individual should go immediately to the emergency room, I would give them a shot of estrogen.”

We’re not sure what “honest rape” is, or what the defining line is for determining the difference between honest rape and, say, dishonest rape. But this we do know. Ron Paul and his brand of Republican/Libertarianism, should be seen and not heard. We as a nation would be much better off, without such nonsensical comments coming from the mouths of these so-called political leaders.
