Jeb Bush Gets The Okay from His Wife to Run for President

While Mitt Romney’s wife appears dead set against the idea of him running a third campaign for president of the United States, wife of Jeb Bush said that she is all for her man running in 2016.

“My wife is supportive, but that doesn’t mean that I don’t understand the challenges that this brings,” Jeb said in an interview with the Associated Press Tuesday. “This is ultimately my decision with as much consideration as I can to take into account the people that I really love.”

Bush has been actively encouraged to run by several members of the GOP establishment and would enter the presidential contest as an early favorite. But he has publicly indicated that concerns over the toll of a presidential campaign on his family are weighing heavily on his decision to run. Columba Bush was previously reported to be reluctant to support a 2016 bid.

If the Romneys are serious about not running in 2016 – and there are questions about their claims of being “done, done, done” – we might be looking at another Bush/Clinton matchup – Jeb Bush vs Hillary Clinton.

As if 2 bushes weren’t enough!

You guys are a bunch of losers. Tough luck, that you missed out on having Mitt treat you and the country as one of his Bain Capital victims.

Sidenote: Parden my interpretation, but when Mrs Romney (sorry, I cannot remember her first name and I have no time to go look it up. It’s really not that important.) went on Fox News and declared that America lost out because Mittens did not win the presidency, that is what came to my mind.

This is what she said. “I really believe this, you know, we lost, but truly the country lost by not having Mitt as president.”

Dumb Question Time: Romney Asks Why Airplane Windows Don’t Open

It was a terrible situation. Ann Romney, wife of Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney, was in an airplane that experienced some problems in mid flight. With a smoke-filled cabin, the pilot was able to land safely and the passengers, including Ann Romney, walked away from the incident lucky to be alive.

Enter Mitt Romney.

I’ve always thought Mitt Romney was not the smartest man in the room, and his confusion about why airplane windows don’t open proves that what I thought about him, was and is, correct. Romney responded to the incident by saying;

When you have a fire in an aircraft, there’s no place to go, exactly, there’s no — and you can’t find any oxygen from outside the aircraft to get in the aircraft, because the windows don’t open. I don’t know why they don’t do that. It’s a real problem.So it’s very dangerous. And she was choking and rubbing her eyes. Fortunately, there was enough oxygen for the pilot and copilot to make a safe landing in Denver. But she’s safe and sound.

I was trying come up with a snippy remark to highlight the wisdom of the man Republicans will vote for as their next president, but  this says it all: “Yeah, great question Mitt. I mean, wouldn’t it be awesome to be able to crack the window when you’re at 35,000 feet? You know, get a taste of that 500+ mile per hour breeze?

It’d be like the mile-high club for Seamus, with the added benefit of asphyxiation induced by the low oxygen levels at cruising altitude—assuming that you manage to avoid having the plane rip apart due to the sudden loss of cabin pressure.

Brilliant, Mitt. Just brilliant.”

Ann Romney to Complaining Republicans – “Stop It… You’re Lucky To Have Mitt!”

To paraphrase Ann Romney:

Fall in line disgruntled Republicans. Cut the nonsense and do as you’re told! Who cares that Mitt Romney is “the worst Republican in America to put up against President Obama,” like Rick Santorum said. Stop concerning yourselves with matters you simply cannot understand and just vote for Mitt!

You’re lucky he’s giving your sorry asses the time of day!

Now back to the story:

The wife of GOP hopeful Mitt Romney on Thursday told Republicans to stop complaining about her husband’s flailing presidential campaign because they were “lucky” to have him as a presidential candidate.

During an interview with radio Iowa, Ann Romney was asked how she would respond to influential conservative critics like Wall Street Journal columnist Peggy Noonan and Weekly Standard editor Bill Kristol.

“Stop it!” she snapped. “You want to try it? Get in the ring.”

Ann Romney added: “This is hard and, you know, it’s an important thing that we’re doing right now and it’s an important election and it is time for all Americans to realize how significant this election is and how lucky we are to have someone with Mitt’s qualifications and experience and know-how to be able to have the opportunity to run this country.”

“It’s nonsense. And the chattering class, they — you know, it’s hard, of course. They don’t — I don’t let it sink in. You hear it and then you just let it go right by. And you’re used to it. Honestly at this point, I’m not surprised by anything.”

Noonan wrote on Thursday that Romney’s campaign had become a “rolling calamity,” and Kristol recently calledthe candidate “stupid and arrogant” for dismissing 47 percent of voters, who he said thought they were “victims” and did not “take personal responsibility and care for their lives.”

Ann Romney to Americans – “You People” Have Seen All You Need To See

“You people” just don’t get it, do you? Where do you come off thinking you have the chutzpah to ask Mitt Romney to show his taxes? You are not even in his class, you are not on the same caliber as Mitt. You cannot even see the things he’s seen, been the places he’s been and you will never make the kind of money he’s made.

So stop bothering the my husband with your stupid little concerns about taxes! Any secrets you want to know about Mitt will be revealed after he gets elected. Now just be the little sheep you are and vote for Mitt!

Well, that’s not exactly what Ann Romney said today, but what she told ABC went more like this:

Ann Romney dismissed concerns about her husband’s tax returns Thursday, contending that the two of them have “given all you people need to know.”

“You know, you should really look at where Mitt has led his life, and where he’s been financially,” the potential first lady said on ABC’s “Good Morning America.” “He’s a very generous person. We give 10 percent of our income to our church every year. Do you think that is the kind of person who is trying to hide things, or do things? No. He is so good about it. Then, when he was governor of Massachusetts, didn’t take a salary for four years.”

“We’ve given all you people need to know and understand about our financial situation and how we live our life,” she added later.

Ann Romney – The Dog “Loved” Being Strapped to the Roof of the Car

Remember Seamus? The Romney’s pet dog that was strapped on the roof of their car for a 1983 trip to Ontario Canada – a trip so horrifying to the poor pooch that the dog ultimately defecated on himself as the Romneys sped along the highway. Well according to Ann Romney, Shamus loved being on that roof.

“The dog loved it,” Romney told ABC’s Diane Sawyer in an interview. “He would see that crate and, you know, he would, like, go crazy because he was going with us on vacation. It was to me a kinder thing to bring him along than to leave him in the kennel for two weeks.”

“Once, he — we traveled all the time — and he ate the turkey on the counter. I mean, he had the runs,” Ann Romney explained, according to ABC News, laughing while describing the incident.

Mitt Romney Suggests That Stay-At-Home-Moms Don’t Work

LOL. These Republicans are so transparent we could see right through them.

Republicans are now trying to manufacture a political crisis using stay-at-home-moms and the words of Democratic Strategist Hilary Rosen. Ms Rosen said on CNN that Ann Romney – wife of Mitt Romney – “did not work a day in her life” and that she did not face the same economic hardships many women face today.

This prompted Ann Romney to take to Twitter, tweeting “I made a choice to stay home and raise five boys. Believe me, it was hard work.”

Although the words of Hilary could have been said differently, her words are true. But since a recent poll showed that women are heavily in favor of President Obama over his Republican challenger Mitt Romney, Republicans think this issue will gain them favor with women.

Their hope is that women will forget the last 3 years when Republican governors throughout the nation engaged in a war on women – taking away women’s health care, attacking women’s right to choose, ending their equal pay for equal work and blocking legislations in congress meant to protect violence against women. Yes, Congressional Republicans have been blocking the Violence Against Women Act!

With all that in mind, Republicans are trying to pretend that they are for women’s rights and they are doing it by trying to paint Democrats as being against stay-at-home-moms. They are calling this attack the Democrat’s war on stay-at-home-moms, and they are claiming that Democrats think stay-at-home-mom’s don’t work.

But as it turns out, Mitt Romney is the one insinuating that Stay-at-home-moms don’t work. In the video below, Romney is heard saying that in today’s economy, households need two incomes to succeed. And listening to Romney, it sounds as if he is saying that what stay-at-home-moms do, is not work.

Take a look at what Mitt Romney said in 1994 – “this is a different world than it was in the 1960s when I was growing up. When you used to be able to have mom at home and dad at work. Now mom and dad both have to work.”
