The hurt was apparent on President Obama today as he brought together an audience at the White House for an announcement on upcoming executive actions on background checks. At one point, the emotional toll on the president was so heavy, it caused the tears to flow.

While talking about the massacre at Sandy Hook where 20 elementary kids were slaughtered, the President broke down, pausing at various times to whip tears from his eyes.
“Every time I think about those kids, it gets me mad,” Mr. Obama said. “And by the way, it happens on the streets of Chicago every day!”
Remember when Republican Rudy Giuliani said this president doesn’t care or love America?
You’ve probably heard about it. Over the weekend, a militia group fully armed with their guns and ammunition took over a federal building in Oregon, vowing to keep the federal building until they get their way… or else!
And just in case you haven’t heard of this government takeover, well, it’s probably because the media has not covered the militia’s action – and might I remind you that they took over a federal building, armed with guns and ammunition – …the media hasn’t covered this takeover quite the same way they have covered, let’s say, BlackLivesMatter protesters. And where are the police with their trigger-happy fingers you asked? You know, the same ones gunning down innocent, peaceful protesters and black men all over this nation?
Good question.
This fact that the media and police intervention are apparently minimal, have been noted on many social media outlets, and CNN posed this question to their law enforcement analyst while discussing the events in Oregon.
CNN’s law enforcement analyst Art Roderick, explained why the militia, fully armed with their guns and ammunition, should be reasoned with, and not be treated the same way as BlackLivesMatter protesters are often treated. And according to Roderick, the militia is not looting anything.
“The last thing we need is some type of large confrontation because that’s when stuff goes bad,” Roderick explained. “And I think in this particular instance, if we just wait them out, see what they’ve got to say, then eventually, they’re all going to go home.”
Stelter pointed out that many activists had complained if the militia members were “Black Lives Matter protesters or if these were peaceful Muslim Americans [then] they would be treated very differently by law enforcement.”
“This is a very rural area,” Roderick replied. “It is out in the middle of nowhere. What are they actually doing? They’re not destroying property, they’re not looting anything.”
“I mean, there’s a whole separate situation going on as to exactly why they’re there and that will be worked out through the legal process,” he continued. “But I think now that they’ve taken over this location out at the fish and wildlife, this brings in the federal side. And I know the federal government has learned over the years how to deal with these types of incidences.”

A few days ago, word surfaced that President Obama was considering executive actions on gun control. There was nothing concrete, but the rumors were alive and well. Now, on the first day of 2016, the president himself is making it known that he will act on what he calls, “unfinished business,” more specifically, enforcing real background checks on gun purchases.

People close to the President Obama’s administration say that in the coming days, the president will take Executive Actions on guns, more specifically, on a proposal that is extremely popular with the American people – better background checks on gun purchases.
Described as “imminent,” the set of executive actions would fulfill a promise by the President to take further unilateral steps the White House says could help curb gun deaths.
Planning for the action are not yet complete, and those familiar with the process warn that unforeseen circumstances could delay an announcement. But gun control advocates are expecting the new actions to be revealed next week, ahead of Obama’s annual State of the Union address, set for January 12.
The White House wouldn’t comment directly on the exact timing or content of Obama’s executive orders. White House spokesman Eric Schultz said that the President expected a set of recommendations on unilateral action to arrive at the beginning of the year.
He said Obama was “expressing urgency” for a list of steps he can take on his own after high-profile incidents of gun violence at the end of this year.
“It is complicated. That’s why it’s taken some time for our policy folks, our lawyers, and our expects to work through this and see what’s possible,” Schultz said.
It should come as no surprise that the national spokesperson for Donald Trump wore a bullet necklace in a recent CNN interview. Yes, we all know that Americans are being murdered daily with guns at an alarming rate, and we all know about the record amount of mass shootings in 2015. One would think that at a time when gun violence is sadly so prevalent in our society, that a little more sensitivity would be had by those in power.
One would be wrong for thinking that.
Katrina Pierson, Donald Trump’s spokesperson thought it was appropriate to wear a bullet and shell casing neck ornament on CNN. The necklace was so outrageous, it drew the attention of Shannon Watts, the founder of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America. Shannon took to twitter and tweeted;
“Surely KatrinaPierson wore bullet necklace on to bring attention to 90 Americans fatally shot daily.”
Thank God he wasn’t in America. With his crazy mindset, he could have easily picked up a gun at your friendly neighborhood gun store and committed another episode of mass murder.
The teacher said he had been attacked while alone in a classroom in Aubervilliers, a suburb of Paris.
But prosecutors said he had wounded himself with a box cutter and was now being questioned as to why he lied.
France remains on high alert following the terror attacks in Paris on 13 November that left 130 people dead.
The 45-year-old teacher – who has not been named – has been treated in hospital for superficial wounds to his side and neck.
According to his account, a man had attacked him with a box cutter at about 07:10 (06:10 GMT) on Monday and had shouted: “This is for Daesh [Islamic State]. It’s a warning”.
Eye witnesses say the man, a 28-year-old, was walking with a gun and “shooting rounds into the air.” Police say their commands for the man to drop the gun were ignored, so they fired multiple rounds at the man as he walked then crawled away from them, killing him.
According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, the shooting happened around 11 a.m. outside of an Arco gas station near Long Beach Boulevard and Magnolia Avenue.
Deputies from the Century Station responded to the area after receiving multiple calls about a man in a checkered shirt with a gun and shots being fired.
An eyewitness who asked to remain anonymous captured video of the gunfire and said the suspect, identified as 28-year-old Nick Robertson, was shooting in the air and did not want to comply with commands.
Deputies at the scene said they yelled multiple commands at the suspect to drop the gun, but ended up opening fire when he didn’t listen.
In the video, Robertson is seen walking away from officers and then several rounds are fired. He is seen injured, crawling on the ground. Deputies fire several more shots until he stops moving.
Other witnesses at the scene told authorities they saw the suspect turn and point the gun at the deputies prior to the shooting.
“The video is just one piece of evidence that’s going to be examined as part of a comprehensive, long investigation and that’ll be analyzed against the physical evidence, the witness statements and the deputies’ statements,” LASD Lt. Eddie Hernandez said.
According to Police Chief Randy Kennedy, the police chief of Hughes Springs in East Texas, the job of his police department would be a lot easier if people buy more guns and use those guns to protect themselves against Muslims.
The chief posted his message on Facebook following President’s address on terrorism, and he told Mr. Obama that he is a “servant” who should forget his secret plan to take people’s guns, because when he comes ‘a knocking, gun lovers will be ready, lock and loaded!
“I watched President Obama tonight and heard what he had to say about confronting terrorism, and I didn’t find his words encouraging at all,” Kennedy explained. “What I’m asking all of my citizens to do, all my law-abiding citizens, I am asking you to help me and our fellow law enforcement officers by arming yourselves.”
“We need to send a message to the criminal element as well to these terrorists and these jihadi who want to murder in the name of their god, and the criminal element that want to go out, you know, and just totally destroy our way of life.”
According to the chief, “nobody who is a legal gun owner has ever wanted to harm or kill anyone.”
Kennedy predicted that law enforcement officers would one day need to be saved by “a group of my citizens.”
“And I don’t want you running out of bullets, and I don’t want you running out of guns before you’re able to pull our bacon out of the fire,” he insisted.
Kennedy urged the president to “understand what the Second Amendment is for.”
“It is there for the American people to protect themselves against the criminal element, to protect themselves against terrorists and radical ideology,” he opined. “And it’s also there to protect us against that has overreached power.”
“You are not our potentate, sir,” the police chief told Obama. “You are our servant. And you were elected to serve and protect us first. And I suggest, sir, since you are a constitutional expert that you better review your history on the Constitution and understand we are a free people and are subject to no one other than the almighty God and Jesus Christ, the king.”
Little Emma Nowling just wanted to play soccer. But after practice on Thursday, her short life came to a tragic end, shot and killed by a family friend, a man who legally bought a gun in September and had a concealed carry license.
Emma Nowling and her mother, Sharon Watson, were shot after the little girl’s soccer practice session at the Taylor Sportsplex in Michigan. Watson is listed in serious but stable condition, while Nowling died Thursday night after suffering head injuries,MLive.com reports. Authorities describe the suspect, Timothy Nelson Obeshaw, as a family friend who had a concealed carry permit and a legally-purchased gun.
Police say a 9 mm pistol recovered from the shooting scene was registered to Obeshaw.
The man had recently been experiencing paranoia, thought someone was out to get him and believed someone was trying to control him through mind control, Taylor police Chief Mary Sclabassi told MLive.
“He thought someone was out to get him,” the chief told reporters at a Friday press conference. “Unfortunately, it appears as a result of his (instability) we now have a little girl who simply just wanted to go yesterday to play soccer, and never went home.”
Police said the girl’s mother is being treated and was informed her daughter has died.
Obeshaw had attended Nowling’s practice sessions in the past and on Thursday had a pleasant interaction with the child and her mother, but after the practice, had a confrontation at about 8 p.m. Witnesses saw him shoot into the vehicle then turn the gun on himself.
Obeshaw had no known criminal history. He had registered the gun under his own name in September.
“Of course, this is a tragic situation and the thought that maybe if the right person had the right information at the right time could have prevented this, of course it’s very frustrating,” Sclabassi said. “Clearly this was an individual who needed help. Clearly this is an individual who should not have been able to purchase a handgun just this past September.”
This incident happened in 2014, but the fate of the police officer in the video below was just determined by the court. The Prince George’s County Police officer, Jenchesky Santiago, was found guilty of 1st and 2nd-degree assault, use of a firearm in violence, and misconduct in office. He will spend at least 5 years in prison.
Back on May 10th 2014, William Cunningham and Kenneth Smith were sitting in their car in front of their home doing absolutely nothing wrong when the officer pulled up, informing them that they were illegally parked. But according to the prosecutor in the case, the car was legally parked as there were no signs, no markings on the curb, no hydrants to suggest an illegal parking situation.
Officer Santiago, it was also revealed, had two unauthorized riders in his cruiser and apparently wanted to show off.
“You guys wanted my attention. You got my attention now.” the officer said.
Having not been legally detained, Cunningham simply tried to walk into his house when all hell broke loose.
Santiago, responding to an innocent man walking into his own home, pulled his gun and pointed it at Cunningham, demanding that he “get back in the car!”
Frightened that he had a madman pressing a gun against his temple ‘so hard that it moved his head,’ Cunningham slowly made his way back to the vehicle. This slow walk was seen as a threat to the tyrant Santiago, which made him even more enraged and more apt to preen for his sadistic audience.
He then pressed the gun directly at the center of Cunningham’s face and mouth, “Go ahead. I dare you to f**king fight me, son.” All of this was captured on video.
After the video was turned off, Cunningham testified in court that Santiago later told them, “Y’all gonna learn about officer Santiago today. I just got back from Iraq. I’m not scared of you all.” He testified that Santiago also said, “You need to watch your attitude because us P.G. cops, we shoot people.”
Cunningham and Smith were then illegally searched without consent. Since Santiago found nothing to charge them with, he made up two counts of disorderly conduct, which would later be thrown out after the video surfaced.
“The actions Officer Santiago chose to take that day are his alone. His behavior is flagrant, appalling and isolated. His actions are among the worst I’ve seen as Chief of Police and that will be taken into account when I make a decision about his employment,” PGPD Chief Mark Magaw said.
“The moment officer Santiago made the decision to act in a reckless, illegal way, he ceased being a police officer,” Prince George’s County State’s Attorney Angela Alsobrooks said. “There is no place for that type of behavior in our county or on our police force. Every citizen should be able to walk across their front yard to their door without fear of being assaulted, especially by a police officer.”
A shocking realization after this latest mass shooting in San Bernardino California. As pointed out by a reporter from The Huffington Post, today’s mass shooting, today being December 2nd, 2015, marks the 355th shooting to date this year… and so far, we’re only 336 days into the year.
In this shooting that happened in San Bernadino California around 11am local time, 14 people died and 14 more injured as three armed gunmen walked into a social services center in San Bernardino, California and opened fire on innocent people going about their daily routine.
The gunmen, dressed in all black and wearing masks, ran after committing their horrific crime.
And still, after the 355th mass murder incident this year – more mass shootings than days in the year so far with guns used in every single incident – we can be sure of one thing, thanks to the power and influence of the NRA, absolutely nothing will be done as Republicans in Congress gladly accept their NRA donations instead of saving lives.
A week from today, this incident will be another faint memory as we focus our attention on the next mass shooting were even more innocent Americans will be murdered.

The man who enter the plan Parenthood last weekend and killed three people including a police officer, is being described as “weird” by a neighbor who knew him, and a “conservative” gun owner by his ex wife.
“He was the kind of person you had to watch out for,” a neighbor told The Washington Post. “He was a very weird individual. It’s hard to explain, but he had a weird look in his eye most of the time.”
In 1997, Dear’s then wife, Pamela Ross, once called the police to accuse him of domestic violence, The New York Times reported. Ross said that Dear could have flashes of anger, but usually he would later apologize.
Dear was politically conservative, religious, owned guns and believed that abortion was wrong — but he was not obsessed with any of these issues, Ross said.
“It never, ever, ever, ever crossed my mind” that he would be capable of a mass shooting, Ross told The Times. “My heart just fell to my stomach.”
