Registered Gun Owner Shot and Killed 7 Year Oil Girl at Soccer Practice

Little Emma Nowling just wanted to play soccer. But after practice on Thursday, her short life came to a tragic end, shot and killed by a family friend,  a man who legally bought a gun in September and had a concealed carry license.

Emma Nowling and her mother, Sharon Watson, were shot after the little girl’s soccer practice session at the Taylor Sportsplex in Michigan. Watson is listed in serious but stable condition, while Nowling died Thursday night after suffering head injuries,MLive.com reports. Authorities describe the suspect, Timothy Nelson Obeshaw, as a family friend who had a concealed carry permit and a legally-purchased gun.

Police say a 9 mm pistol recovered from the shooting scene was registered to Obeshaw.

The man had recently been experiencing paranoia, thought someone was out to get him and believed someone was trying to control him through mind control, Taylor police Chief Mary Sclabassi told MLive.

“He thought someone was out to get him,” the chief told reporters at a Friday press conference. “Unfortunately, it appears as a result of his (instability) we now have a little girl who simply just wanted to go yesterday to play soccer, and never went home.”

Police said the girl’s mother is being treated and was informed her daughter has died.

Obeshaw had attended Nowling’s practice sessions in the past and on Thursday had a pleasant interaction with the child and her mother, but after the practice, had a confrontation at about 8 p.m. Witnesses saw him shoot into the vehicle then turn the gun on himself.

Obeshaw had no known criminal history. He had registered the gun under his own name in September.

“Of course, this is a tragic situation and the thought that maybe if the right person had the right information at the right time could have prevented this, of course it’s very frustrating,” Sclabassi said. “Clearly this was an individual who needed help. Clearly this is an individual who should not have been able to purchase a handgun just this past September.”

Suge Knight on Being Shot – “I don’t think that’s really important – who pulled the trigger”

A couple of weeks ago, Suge Knight was shot six times at a party. He was rushed to the hospital and is now, for the first time, talking about the shooting, a shooting he really doesn’t care about.

“Even if I did, I don’t think that’s really important — who pulled the trigger and who I seen pull the trigger. I’m doing extremely well. I’m happy to be doing well. Whatever happens, happens.”

Knight was one of three people injured in the shooting, which took place at a pre-VMA party hosted by Chris Brown at the 10ak nightclub; the other two victims are expected to survive as well. Despite being hit in the stomach and the arm, Knight was able to walk out of the club on his own.

“One thing my father always taught me, no matter what it is, you never give up, you never quit if you start something,” Knight said. “When you walk in a place, you walk in one way and no matter what goes on, you leave the same — as a man. I was shot, and I wanted to make sure I got to the right place to patch some of these holes up.”

Knight went on to claim, with a laugh, that he didn’t feel a thing when he was hit, and added that he’s already focused on the future and what he can learn from the incident. “There’s gonna be some times where you might get in a few bar fights; there’s gonna be some times where you might get a few shots. But if you’re able to survive those shots, you’re supposed to make yourself stronger and be more positive, more aggressive with the people you want to deal with. And that’s the page I’m really on.”

Texas Pastor Shot and Killed With His Own Gun In His Own Home

First of all, the pastor has a gun! I’m still having a hard time figuring out why a man of God, a follower of Christ, has a gun.

But I digress!

Donald Frazier noticed an intruder in his home. The 69-year-old pastor grabbed his gun and went to investigate. That is when he came in contact with 30-year-old Daniel Durham in his back yard. The two struggled and the stronger Durham took the gun away from Pastor Frazier. Frazier pleaded for his life but he was killed with his own weapon.

Frazier’s wife saw the struggle.

Another example of a good guy with a gun dead at the scene!

Rev Al Sharpton Calls ‘Knockout’ Game “Deplorable and Must Be Condemned By All”

They think it’s fun. They sneak up on an unsuspecting victim minding his or her own business and swing on said victim as hard as possible, hoping for a knockout. This sick game is quickly becoming the thing do for today’s young people and it is catching the eyes of those in the media.

Today, Rev Al Sharpton had a few words on the “knockout” phenomenon sweeping the nation.

“This kind of behavior is deplorable and must be condemned by all us,” he said at his weekly National Action Network meeting in Harlem. “We would not be silent if it was the other way around. We cannot be silent or in any way reluctant to confront it when it is coming from our own community.”

On Monday, Sharpton and other leaders plan to discuss a “next move.”

“Kids are randomly knocking out people [from] another race — some specifically going at Jewish people,” he said. “This kind of insane thuggery — there is nothing cute about that. There is no game play about knocking somebody out, and it is not a game. It is an assault and is bias, and it is wrong.”

Critics of Sharpton suggested he could do more, but acknowledged his words as a “good start.”

“I would never condone what he did,” said Councilman Mike Nelson, referring to the incendiary language Sharpton used during the Crown Heights riots in 1991. “But if he wants to move forward, then we should move forward with him and quell any racial tensions.”

But people are not just sitting back waiting to be attacked. In Lansing, Michigan, seventeen year-old Marvell Weaver saw who he thought would be a perfect victim. He approached the man and was shot two times as his victim fought back to protect himself.

Weaver was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. He was charged with felony assault.

Weaver wrote a letter to his intended victim, apologizing for what happened. “I don’t blame you for what you did,” Weaver wrote. “You were only trying to protect yourself. I only wish I could go back to change it to were (sic) I never did it.”

Detroit Woman Shot To Death Seeking Help After Car Accident

Renisha McBride, 19, was shot to death in a Dearborn Heights, Michigan neighborhood after seeking help following a car crash, reports The Detroit News.

At approximately 2:30 a.m. Saturday morning, McBride knocked on the door of a home, hoping for assistance. Instead, she got a gunshot wound to the head.
“He shot her in the head … for what? For knocking on his door,” said McBride’s maternal aunt, Bernita Spinks. “If he felt scared or threatened, he should have called 911.”

“You see a young black lady on your porch and you shoot?” asked Spinks. “He killed my niece and he needs to pay for it. He needs to be in jail.
“There was no windows broken. My niece didn’t bother anyone,” said Spinks. “She went looking for help and now she’s dead.”

The Dearborn Police Department have confirmed the shooting, but have not released the name of the suspect. They initially told McBride’s family that her body was “dumped,” but have now admitted that she died on the man’s porch, reports FOX 32.

The investigation is ongoing and findings will be forwarded to the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office for review.

Man Seeking Help From Police is Shot Dead by Police

Maybe he fit the profile.

On Friday, Jack Lamar Roberson was shot dead by police inside his own home after overdosing on his diabetes medication. His 8-year-old daughter was in the home at the time.

Now, the family of the Georgia man is claiming that the cops weren’t within their rights and instead of offering assistance, they killed Roberson without asking any questions.

The case is dredging up the same sentiments as the killing of an unarmed Jonathan Ferrell, the young man who was shot to death by North Carolina police after he crashed his vehicle.

Roberson’s story began when his fianceé, Alicia Herron, called 911 because she noticed Roberson acting erratically after taking pills to control his blood sugar. But instead of sending paramedics, the dispatcher sent police officers to their home.

Officers with the Waycross Police Department said that upon entering the home, Roberson started toward them “aggressively armed with two items used as weapons.” But Herron disputes that claim, saying that the scene played out like a “silent movie.”

“They just came in and shot him. He didn’t say nothing, the police didn’t say nothing, anything, it was like a silent movie. You couldn’t hear anything, all you could hear were the gun shots go off and I seen them going into his body and he just fell down.”

She and Roberson’s mother also said that he was not carrying a weapon, despite the police report.

“We had no weapons in this house whatsoever,” Roberson’s mother, Diane Roberson, said to the Florida Times Union. “My gentle lamb … He kissed me every morning, made me breakfast in bed, and they said he had two weapons.”
Herron denied he was armed too: “He didn’t have nothing in his hands at any time or period at all before they came, any time while they were here, anything,” she said to First Coast News.

Gun Carrying Mom Found Shot To Death

What does Wayne LaPierre have to say about this?

A mother of three who became a voice of the gun-rights movement when she openly carried a loaded pistol to her daughter’s soccer game was fatally shot along with her husband, a parole officer and former prison guard, in an apparent murder-suicide at their home.

Autopsies were planned Friday for Meleanie Hain, 31, and Scott Hain, 33, who were pronounced dead shortly after 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at their brick home in this small city about 80 miles west of Philadelphia.

N.R.A. Will Not Talk, While 2,405 Shot Dead Since Tucson Arizona

In January, we saw the destruction power of a deranged gunman who opened fire in Tucson, Arizona, killing six people in a botched attempt to assassinate Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords. So naturally, the talk about gun-control has became prominent once again, as both Democrats and Republicans try to show they’re ontop  the issue.

This is a political issue dating back decades, with Democrats usually in favor of some form of gun regulation, and Republicans against most. Caught in the middle of all the politics is the National Rifle Association, a group that gives heavily to both political parties, essentially suppressing all gun control legislation from the very start.

President Obama, the ultimate pragmatist that he is, thought the best way to deal with this problem was to have both sides come to the table to talk about what can be done, if anything. A starting point that no group or organization should be against. A conversation…! Who could be against sitting down and talking? The NRA of course!

The New York Times reports;

On Tuesday, officials at the Justice Department will meet with gun control advocates in the first of what will be a series of meetings over the next two weeks with people on different sides of the issue, including law enforcement, retailers and manufacturers, to seek agreement on possible legislative or administrative actions.

The effort follows Mr. Obama’s call, in a column on Sunday in a Tucson newspaper, to put aside “stale policy debates” and begin “a new discussion” on ways to better enforce and strengthen existing laws to keep mentally unstable, violent and criminal people from getting guns.

But the National Rifle Association, for decades the most formidable force against proposals to limit gun sales or ownership, is refusing to join the discussion — possibly dooming it from the start, given the lobby’s clout with both parties in Congress. Administration officials had indicated they expected that the group would be represented at a meeting, perhaps on Friday.

Six people died in Tucson in January, among the deceased was a 9 year old girl and a federal judge. A congresswoman is still trying to regain some sense of normalcy, or as much normalcy as possible, considering she was shot at point-blank range in the head.

A new report by Newsweek finds that since the shooting in Tucson two months ago, 2,405 more people have been shot and killed in America. But the lives of these innocent people in Tuscon and those killed nationwide over the last two months means nothing to the NRA. Their argument is the second amendment of the Constitution, that states;

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

Although it is their constitutional right to “keep and bear arms,” how many more lives have to be lost to senseless violence before groups like the NRA decide that coming to the table to talk, just talk, about a way to stem such senseless violence, cannot be a harmful thing. You know what’s harmful? 2,405 gunshot deaths in two months – that’s harmful!
