Rick Santorum: “As Governor, Mitt Romney was 47th Out of 50 States in Job Creation”

Today, Mitt Romney is bowing to the commands of Rick Santorum, even making the unprecedented move for a presidential nominee to go to the loser’s campaign headquarters to talk to the loser. That is what Romney is doing today as he begins his courtship for the Santorum endorsement.

And in preparation of that eventual endorsement, the Democratic National Committee (DNC) has prepared this video, reminding Santorum and Romney of some of the things that was said as recently as a few months ago.

This is too easy.

Definitely Not a Ringing Endorsement of Mitt Romney from Rick Santorum

After saying that Mitt Romney was the “worst Republican to put up against Barack Obama,” Rick Santorum went on CNN’s Piers Morgan last-night and still tried to convince viewers that he [Santorum] was the right man for the job. But since he’s not running anymore, then… whatever!

MORGAN: You believe that Mitt Romney’s the right guy?

SANTORUM: I believe he’s the better — obviously I believed I was the better choice. But I’m not in the race anymore.

MORGAN: He has won the race. Is he therefor the right guy?

SANTORUM: Absolutely. He is the person that is going to go up against Barack Obama. It’s pretty clear. We need to win this race.

MORGAN: Unless I’m mishearing things, you just endorsed Mitt Romney.

SANTORUM: If that’s what you want to call it, you can call it whatever you want.

Rick Santorum is Now Quitting The Presidential Race

The Hill is reporting that Rick Santorum will drop out of the presidential race Tuesday afternoon, according to a campaign consultant, essentially guaranteeing Mitt Romney the GOP nomination.

Santorum will make the announcement at an event in his home state of Pennsylvania — his first public appearance following the release of his daughter from the hospital and after he took a break from the campaign trail for a long Easter weekend.

His decision comes after a slew of primary losses made it harder for him to catch Romney in the delegate count and it follows a meeting the former Pennsylvania senator had with conservative leaders last week to discuss his path forward.

It will now be up to Romney and Gingrich to provide all the GOP craziness.

Mitt Romney’s Health Care Mandate Included “$50 Abortions” – Ad

Rick Santorum’s new ad against Mitt Romney is a doosey!

The ad begins with a picture of President Obama and a female narrator asking viewers if they would vote for someone whose health care included “$50 abortions and killed thousands of jobs.”

She then asks if voters will vote for someone who supported “radical” cap-and-trade legislation, the Wall Street bailout or higher taxes.

At the end of the video, the woman reveals that the person she was talking about was not President Obama, but Mitt Romney.

Yes, this video is a doosey alright!

Watch as Rick Santorum Defends Big Government

Rick Santorum is “the only conservative in the presidential race.” That is the title bestowed on Rick Santorum, by non other than… Rick Santorum.

As the “only conservative” in the race, Santorum – on any given day – can be heard preaching the conservative doctrine of “small government,” and the ultimate conservative desire to “take government out of our lives.” But has this self-anointed “conservative” always been for smaller government?

Lets go to the video-tape, and watch as Santorum goes out of his way to defend big government.

Women of America – Rick Santorum Supports your Use of Contraception… So Says His Wife

Karen Santorum – the wife of Republican presidential contender Rick Santorum – broke some news last night on the Piers Morgan Show. According to Karen, Mr Santorum is absolutely in favor of women using contraception and if given a chance to take away that right as president, Karen wants all the women of America to know that little Ricky will do no such thing. On the contrary, he will allow you to use your contraception.

KAREN SANTORUM: It makes me really sad that the media tries to do that to him. They try to make it look like he is something that he’s not. Rick is a great guy, he’s completely supportive of women, he’s surrounded by a lot of very strong women, and I think women have nothing to fear. When it comes to contraceptives, he will do nothing on that issue.

[…]

PIERS MORGAN: When you say he’ll do nothing on the contraception issue, do you mean that, if he was to become President, that he would basically respect a woman’s right to have contraception if that’s what she chose to do?

KAREN SANTORUM: Absolutely. And he has said that.

So pay no attention to one of his most recent statements opposing contraception when he said, “One of the things I will talk about, that no president has talked about before, is, I think, the dangers of contraception in this country. . . . Many of the Christian faith have said, well, that’s okay, contraception is okay. It’s not okay. It’s a license to do things in a sexual realm that is counter to how things are supposed to be.”

No people, that’s just Santorum being silly. You know, goofing around. He’s really a swell guy. Take his wife’s word on that!

Rick Santorum Promise to Reinstate Don’t Ask Don’t Tell

For these Republicans, the only way to make progress is by taking one step forward, then two steps back. After president Obama brought an end to the 17-year-old discriminatory policy against gays in the military, Rick Santorum – one of the front-runners in the Republican primary race – is vowing to return the nation to a time when being gay and serving in the military were grounds for discharge… maybe I shouldn’t be using the words “Santorum” and “discharge” in the same sentence.

Santorum Urge Illinois to “Correct a Wrong on Tuesday”

On Tuesday, Illinois will go to the polls in the never-ending saga that is the Republican primary nominating contest, and Rick Santorum tweeted a message for Illinois – “correct the wrong on Tuesday.”

It would not be far-fetched to conclude from Mr. Santorum’s tweet that “the wrong” he is referring to is President Obama, who represented the district as Senator before successfully running for president in 2008.

Surprise – Here’s Another Dumb Statement by Rick Santorum

Just another dumb statement in the loooong and growing list of things a Republican presidential wanna-be has said. This time, Rick Santorum does the favor while explaining why Puerto Rico cannot be the 51st state.

In an interview with a San Juan newspaper, El Vocero, Santorum said English would have to be the “main language” if Puerto Rico were to become a state.

“As in any other state, you have to comply with this and any federal law. And that is that English has to be the main language,” Santorum told the paper. “There are other states with more than one language as is the case in Hawaii, but to be a state in the United States, English has to be the main language.”

There is no federal law designating English as the country’s official language, although some states and local governments have adopted such “English only” laws.

Puerto Rico is a U.S. commonwealth. Its residents are U.S. citizens but can only vote for president in the primaries, nor do they have a voting representative in Congress. Puerto Ricans will hold a referendum Nov. 6 on the island’s political status. Statehood, independence and no change in status are the three options. Regardless of the outcome, Congress must approve any change in status.
