Republican Senator Shows Callous Attitude Towards School Kids Losing Their Lunch

The entire nation was saddened when it was revealed that school officials in Utah took away the lunches of about 70 poor school children and tossed those lunches in the garbage. Their reason? Because the parents of those children were too poor. School’s accounting showed that the parents had not pay the monthly stipend for their kids to continue eating school lunches.

Yes, everyone was outraged. Everyone that is, except some Republicans.

Below is a conversation between a twitter user @GammaRae206 and the Republican official for Utah, State Senator Todd Weiler. It was GammaRae206’s position that today’s Republican party and their attitudes towards the poor contributed to the school officials taking such horrific steps against innocent school children. GammaRae206 wanted to engage in a discussion with the Senator to see what could be done to avoid such incidents from happening again in the future. Instead, GammaRae206 was met with a hardened, insensitive attitude, unexpected of the State Senator… even a Republican State Senator.

Unopened Taylor Swift Fan Mails Found In Trash

Ah fans. Your poor little hearts would shed a tear hearing this news. Maybe one of your many mails found its way to Taylor Swift’s trash bin, never opened. And you thought you had made a real celebrity connection. So sad.

The letters, many of which were unopened, were found in a south Nashville recycling bin at the weekend by Kylee Francescan when she was disposing of her own rubbish.

She told Nashville’s News 2: ‘I was like, ‘That’s weird. There were like hundreds of letters in there to Taylor Swift and I’m like, “Oh my gosh!”

‘I didn’t know if they were stolen [or] discarded, so I threw them in a box. And I’m like, “Somebody needs to let Taylor know.”‘

Many of the letters, which came from around the globe, were handmade cards covered with pictures, hearts and sparkles.
Francescan said she did not open any of the letters, and decided to contact the media because she believes the singer needed to find out about the discarded letters.

She added: ‘It did bother me [because] I know how much her fans mean to her.’
They were addressed to Taylor Swift Entertainment, a post office located at a shopping centre at 242 West Main Street in Hendersonville.

The owner of the mall told Nashville’s News 2 Investigates she does receive box loads of fan mail at the post office box, and that a member of her staff picks up mail periodically.Nashville’s News 2 took the fanmail to her record label, Big Machine Records on Music Row.

Chris Mathews Owned Republican Chairman Reince Preibus, Calling Him “Garbage!”

If you haven’t seen or heard about this one yet, then have no fear! We have the video below.

Chris Mathews, host of MSNBC’s Hardball sat down with the hosts of Morning Joe and Republican Chairman Reince Preibus for a ‘friendly’ conversation. But anyone who’ve seen Chris Mathews’ show knows that when he gets going, there’s almost no stopping him. And having the Republican Chairman just a few feet away was enough to get Mr. Mathews going.

The ‘friendly’ discussion started with Mathews asking Preibus about some of the “questionable” ads the Romney campaign has run. Ads that many independent sources have called misleading or straight out lies. But what really got Chris going was a recent statement by Mitt Romney at a recent campaign event, where Romney said that no one had to ask for his birth certificate because everyone knows he was born here. To Chris and many others (including me), this statement from Romney was not “just a joke” as Romney and his supporters are calling it. Mr. Mathews saw Romney’s statement and the racial undertones it carried.

The conversation that started out fairly calm ended with the word “garbage” being thrown around, and in once instance, garbage was used to describe the Republican Chairman.

News Flash! FOX News Poll is Biased!

Stunning news, I’m sure.

On the heels of the ABCNews/Washington Post poll that showed Obama with a 7 point lead over Mitt Romney, some analysts were correct to note that the poll oversampled Democrats, which led to a skewing of the numbers. 

The poll breakdown was: 34% Democrats 23% Republicans 34% Independents, which should have shown Obama with a much larger lead given the +11 advantage his party had.

The same can be said for the FOX News Poll which was released yesterday showing Mitt Romney with a 46%-44% lead over Obama, and a -9% deficit for Obama’s job approval rating. The problem for Romney is that he should have been farther ahead given the breakdown of the poll.

FOX used a 40% Democrat 39% Republican 19% Independent population. With a far greater Republican representation in the poll (16% more than ABC/WaPo), Romney should have a greater lead over Obama. They also under-represented Independents, who are usually around 30-33% of the electorate, at a time when other polls are showing Obama with a lead over Romney with those voters.

Given this, the top line number of Romney ahead +2 is good news for the president.

Oh, and be careful with FOX News. They can sometimes lean a bit to the right.
