Megyn Kelly Changes her Mind on Santa Claus’s Skin Color – Video

Fox Host Megyn Kelly, kicking off a discussion with her panel on Fox News, stated something she called a fact – that Santa Claus was white. Megyn went all out to make sure that any kids watching Fox News at that moment knew that Santa was a white man. Well that was then, this is now.

It seems Megyn Kelly has had a change of heart. Due to all the press her dumb statement caused, Kelly is walking back her statement, calling it “a joke.” and based on a video below she’s apparently blaming everybody for not knowing that she was joking.

In kicking off the lighthearted segment, I offered a tongue-in-cheek message for any kids watching, saying that Santa, who I joked is a real person whose race is identifiable, is white.

In her video response to the outrage her statement caused, Kelly tried a classic Republican trick, projection – turning her statement around and blaming the audience for taking her statement seriously. This projection trick is classic for Republicans. We’ve seen them play this game times before where they say something outrageous, and when called on it, they take a Holier than thou position, acting as if they were always right and you were always wrong for correctly understanding their statement.

Prepare yourself to be bulldozed. The turn the tables method demonstrated in the video below is a doozie.

“Well, this would be funny if it were not so telling about our society,” Kelly says, “in particular the knee-jerk instinct by so may to race bait and to assume the worst in people. Especially people employed by the very powerful Fox News channel.”

Bulldozed!

MSNBC’s Martin Bashir Apologizes to Sarah Palin For Slavery Remark – Video

And that is the problem with liberals. We are quick to apologise, even when we are correct.

On Friday, Martin Bashir responded to a Sarah Palin statement that compared America’s deficit to slavery. Sarah Palin obviously knows nothing about slavery or the unthinkable things that happened to the human beings who suffered and died in its name. So on Friday, Martin Bashir tried to educate Palin on some of the experiences slaves went through, and suggested that if she had any experience even remotely close to what the slaves suffered, she would not be throwing around the “slavery” analogy so easily.

But on Monday, Martin offered an apology, calling his Friday’s segment “wholly unacceptable.”

“Last Friday, on this broadcast, I made some comments which were deeply offensive and directed at Governor Sarah Palin. I wanted to take this opportunity to say sorry to Mrs. Palin, and to also offer an unreserved apology to her friends and family, her supporters, our viewers, and anyone who may have heard what I said. My words were wholly unacceptable. They were neither accurate, nor fair. They were unworthy of anyone who would claim to have an interest in politics, and they have brought shame upon my friends and colleagues at this network, none of whom were responsible for the things that I said.”

“In the battle of ideas, America leads the world in whole-hearted discussions and disagreements, and these arguments can be heard on a daily basis. But what I did on Friday had absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with that great tradition, and I am deeply sorry. Upon reflection, I so wish that I had been more thoughtful, more considerate, more compassionate. but I was not. And what I said is now a matter of public record.”

“But if I could add something to the public record, it would be this: That I deeply regret what I said, and that I have learned a sober lesson in these last few days. That the politics of vitriol and destruction is a miserable place to be, and a miserable person to become. And I promise that I will take the opportunity to learn from this experience. My hope is that it will renew in me a spirit of humility and humanity, that looks for the good and that builds upon the great things that this country has to offer to all of us, regardless of our political persuasion. This will be my guiding light and compass in the days ahead. But once again, I am truly sorry for what I said on Friday.”

Now I know there are those who would say that Martin is right for apologizing. That stooping to their level is not the way to go. But I do believe that sometimes, the only way to reach the low hanging fruit, the low thinking people is to reach down to their level. The Republicans live on this low level, and have been cutting the legs out from under the nation with their lies and dumb anology and misrepresentation of the truth for far too long. Sometimes, you have to stoop down and swing back.

For the record, since making her dumb statement, Sarah Palin has actually doubled down, repeating the slavery analogy at different settings.

President Obama Apologizes to Americans losing their Garbage Insurance

In an exclusive interview on MSNBC last night, President Obama apologized to the American people for the “if you like your insurance you can keep it” claim.

Asked by interviewer Chuck Todd of MSNBC if he believed he owed an apology to the five percent of Americans who are losing their garbage plans because of regulations in ObamaCare that require all insurance companies to provide real insurance to the American people, the president replied;

“I am sorry that they are finding themselves in this situation based on assurances they got from me,” he told NBC News in an exclusive interview at the White House.

“We’ve got to work hard to make sure that they know we hear them and we are going to do everything we can to deal with folks who find themselves in a tough position as a consequence of this.”

The president stated that he is doing everything he can to fix the rollout problems with healthcare.gov.

“I’ve assigned my team to see what we can do to close some of the holes and gaps in the law, because, you know, my intention is to lift up and make sure the insurance that people buy is effective — that it’s actually going to deliver what they think they’re purchasing.”

GOP’s Tom Coburn Somewhat Apologizes for Calling Reid an A$$hole

Oklahoma Sen. Tom Coburn admitted it was inappropriate to call Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid an “a–hole” but said the slam is a mere symptom of his deep-rooted frustration.

“My words weren’t appropriate, but my frustrations are real,” Coburn said during a “Fox and Friends” interview Wednesday.

Coburn made the comment in Manhattan at the The New York Young Republican Club’s annual gala Monday at the Yale Club as he addressed the the congressional showdown that led to a government shutdown in October.

“There’s no comity with Harry Reid. I think he’s an absolute a–hole,” Coburn told the group, reported the Daily News, when he was asked by an attendee about bipartisanship in the Beltway.

His informal remarks were said to have been well-received by the conservative circle.

Coburns “guard was down — it was very off-the-cuff,” someone familiar with the event said.

But the outburst became highly publicized given the post-shutdown political posturing.

He toned down his criticism on the cable morning show Wednesday but still blamed the Democratic leader.

“The Senate’s not doing what it’s supposed to do, and the leadership of the Senate has set it so that they can actually force consensus,” he told Fox’s Elisabeth Hasselbeck.

Jon Stewart’s NSA Apology to World Leaders

Snowden’s NSA leakage is hitting world leaders hard, as word is slowly coming out that many of these leaders may have been spied on by the US government. Some, in their own way demanded an apology.

Jon Stewart did the honors.

“You want an apology? Fine. We’re sorry,” Stewart said, before adding, “that you forgot that we’re kind of d*cks.”

Pointing to a “camera” over his desk, Stewart argued that for the U.S. to tap German Chancellor Angela Merkel’s mobile phone was relatively small potatoes.

“If it makes you feel any better, our government isn’t doing anything to you that they’re not doing to us,” Stewart said. “They’re spying on our studio, and I’m literally saying that into a camera that’s going to broadcast that. It seems kind of redundant.”

Besides, he argued, these types of dealings were par for the course with the U.S.

“Have you met us?” Stewart asked. “Meddling in your affairs for our national self-interest is kind of our thing. What part of, ‘Everything we’ve done since the Monroe Doctrine’ don’t you get?”

Stewart also knocked nations like Pakistan, Germany and France for complaining about the U.S.’ activities given their own dirty laundry.

“Do I really have to justify myself to a country that invaded Poland because they thought Poland was looking at them funny?” Stewart demanded of Germany. “So get over it — or better yet, turn that frown upside down. Don’t think of us as an overly aggressive, paranoid superpower; think of us as what anyone’s looking for in a partner: a good listener. A great listener. The best listener in the history of the world.”

Rielle Hunter Apologizes For Affair with John Edwards

Rielle Hunter is apologizing for her affair with former Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards.

In a column for The Huffington Post, the former campaign videographer and mother of Edwards’ youngest daughter says she “behaved badly.”

“That may seem obvious to you but it’s taken me a long time to admit that, even to myself,” Hunter said. “For years, I was so viciously attacked by the media and the world that I felt like a victim. I now realize that the attacks are actually beside the point. The point is: I behaved badly.”

Edwards’ extramarital affair, chronicled in tabloids and a book by a former aide, led to his downfall. He had initially denied the affair and paternity of Frances Quinn, the daughter Hunter gave birth to in 2008.

Hunter’s new book, In Hindsight, What Really Happened: The Revised Edition: John Edwards, Our Daughter and Me, hit bookshelves Tuesday.

What Apology? Romney Said It And He Meant It – Dissing The 47%

It is done by some people because they are cowards –  talking bad about others behind their backs. But when those people are listening,  cowards change their tune and pretend all is well. Mitt Romney said it when he thought no one was listening, but now that the word is out, Mitt Romney is trying to take back his devastating comment about the 47%.

Romney recently told Fox News that the rigors of the campaign was responsible for his 47% statement, where he said at a private fundraiser with his fellow millionaires that half of Americans are lazy and depend on government for their very existence. And a day after Romney’s words went public, he again repeated his position that 47% of the nation are moochers!

On multiple occasions, Romney promised to “carry that message” about the losers who are these 47%. But on October 4th, after realizing that his statement was having negative impacts on his campaign, Romney broke out the etch-a-sketch and tried to erase everything. In his interview on Fox, Romney said;

Well, clearly in a campaign with hundreds if not thousands of speeches and question and answer sessions, now and then you’re going to say something that doesn’t come out right. In this case, I said something that’s just completely wrong.

But the Obama Campaign is having none of it. They’ve seen this scenario before – the flip-flop method Mitt Romney has made famous. And they’ve created this video to hold Romney accountable for the flips he’s flop!

President Obama’s Campaign Team Answers Romney’s Call For an Apology

Mitt Romney is demanding an apology from President Obama for what he claims are actions that are beneath the dignity of his office. Romney was referring to suggestions by President Obama’s Deputy Campaign Manager – Stephanie Cutter, that Romney may have violated the laws and indulged in criminal activities for lying to the SEC.

This was too much for the apparent morally advanced Mitt Flip Romney. He went on five different television news shows on Friday denying all connections with Bain Capital during the time Stephanie Cutter mentioned. Furthermore, Romney wants the President to apologies to him for “the kinds of attacks that are coming from his team.”

“The president needs to take control of these people. He ought to disavow it and rein in these people who are running out of control. He sure as heck ought to say that he’s sorry for the kinds of attacks that are coming from his team.”

So naturally, the President’s campaign team put this video together as an answer to Romney’s pleas.

Geraldo Rivera Issues a Non Apology Apology for his Dumb Hoodie Remarks

Taking to his Facebook Page, Fox host Geraldo Rivera apologized for comparing Trayvon Martin’s hoodie to George Zimmerman’s gun, a comparison that caused Mr. Rivera to conclude that the hoodie was equally to be blamed for Trayvon’s murder as the gunman himself. In his so-called apology, Rivera basically said he was sorry for using “very practical and potentially life-saving” words advising blacks and Hispanics to discard their hoodies.

“I apologize to anyone offended by what one prominent black conservative called my, “very practical and potentially life-saving campaign urging black and Hispanic parents not to let their children go around wearing hoodies.”But here’s the rub, according to my legion of critics, by putting responsibility on what kids wear instead of how people react to them I have obscured the main point that someone shot and killed an unarmed teenager, and I began today’s program with a sincere and heartfelt apology to anyone I may have offended by my crusade to warn minority families of the danger to their young sons inherent in gangsta style clothing; like hoodies.

Over the last week, I’ve been buried under an avalanche of rage and the ridicule; essentially saying that I was blaming Trayvon Martin for his own death.
I wasn’t and I don’t. And, I remain absolutely convinced of what I said about asking for trouble. There’s trouble enough for minority boys and young men not to provoke mad responses from paranoid jerk offs.

But that doesn’t change what many, including members of my own family and friends believe.
That I have obscured or diverted attention from the principal fact, which is that an unarmed 17-year old was shot dead by a man who was never seriously investigated by local police. And if that is true, I apologize.”

– Geraldo Rivera

In other words, I’m sorry, but I was right for saying what I said. Some apology!

Rush Limbaugh Does The Unthinkable – He Apologize To Ms Fluke

For the past few days, the untouchable, invincible Rush Limbaugh took to the airwaves and criticized a private citizen for doing her duty as an American. Limbaugh chose to walk the only path he knows and called this private citizen some of the most despicable and deplorable names his puny little mind could think of, then sat back and watched as a national outcry began. Even President Obama placed a telephone call to the victim of Rush’s venom, offering her some words of encouragement.

But that was all fine with Rush Limbaugh. This is what he does – go on the air, and say some of the most reprehensible things ever heard on the national airwaves. He has used his program to attack blacks, Muslims, Women, Latinos and yes, Democrats. So when President Obama got involved and made his phone call to Susan Fluke, Rush Limbaugh knew that his plan to get as much publicity as possible, was coming together just as he planned.

But this time something was different. The Blogosphere and the Twitter machine came alive and calls for the end of Limbaugh’s radio career rang long and loud. And tweets and messages to sponsors and advertisers on Limbaugh’s show were too numerous to count. Then the advertisers began pulling their ads from Rush’s show and this, this was when Mr. Limbaugh did a double take.

One sponsor, two sponsor, three sponsor, four… Limbaugh imagined the worst and saw his $400 million contract evaporating before his very eyes. He couldn’t allow it, he wouldn’t. He decided to do what he never thought he’d do in all his 20 years as a radio entertainer – he decided to go against the pomposity his show is known for –  he apologized… to a woman!

For over 20 years, I have illustrated the absurd with absurdity, three hours a day, five days a week.  In this instance, I chose the wrong words in my analogy of the situation. I did not mean a personal attack on Ms. Fluke.

…My choice of words was not the best, and in the attempt to be humorous, I created a national stir. I sincerely apologize to Ms. Fluke for the insulting word choices.

On the Wednesday, Thursday and Friday editions of his talk show, Mr. Limbaugh loudly criticized Ms. Fluke as sexually promiscuous and politically motivated — “an anti-Catholic plant,” he said at one point.

On Wednesday, he called her a “slut,” and a “prostitute. On Thursday, he said she was “having so much sex, it’s amazing she can still walk.” And on Friday, the Republican spokesman continued his personal attack, saying Miss Fluke was “having sex so frequently that she can’t afford all the birth-control pills that she needs.”

ObamaCare Hater Apologies To President Obama After Cancer Diagnosis

She said she was “pretty mad” at the president for “ObamaCare.” So mad she was, that she changed her registration from Democrat to Independent and “blacked out the top of the “h” on my Obama bumper sticker, so that it read, “Got nope” instead of “got hope.”” But something happened to Mrs. Spike Dolomite Ward, that caused her to write an apology to President Obama in today’s LA Times. She was diagnosed with breast cancer and she now calls the Pre-Existing Condition part of the Health Care plan her savior.

I’ve been saved by the federal government’s Pre-existing Condition Insurance Plan, something I had never heard of before needing it. It’s part of President Obama’s healthcare plan, one of the things that has already kicked in, and it guarantees access to insurance for U.S. citizens with preexisting conditions who have been uninsured for at least six months. The application was short, the premiums are affordable, and I have found the people who work in the administration office to be quite compassionate (nothing like the people I have dealt with over the years at other insurance companies.) It’s not perfect, of course, and it still leaves many people in need out in the cold. But it’s a start, and for me it’s been a lifesaver — perhaps literally.

Which brings me to my apology. I was pretty mad at Obama before I learned about this new insurance plan. I had changed my registration from Democrat to Independent, and I had blacked out the top of the “h” on my Obama bumper sticker, so that it read, “Got nope” instead of “got hope.” I felt like he had let down the struggling middle class. My son and I had campaigned for him, but since he took office, we felt he had let us down.

So this is my public apology. I’m sorry I didn’t do enough of my own research to find out what promises the president has made good on. I’m sorry I didn’t realize that he really has stood up for me and my family, and for so many others like us. I’m getting a new bumper sticker to cover the one that says “Got nope.” It will say “ObamaCares.”
