The Whole World Is Watching – Police Brutality In San Francisco

You thought the New York Police Department was the only one attacking peaceful protesters for… protesting? Think again.

The San Francisco Police Department has successfully added their interpretation of  “excessive police action” to the historic movement that is Occupy Wall Street, with their actions earlier tonight in California.

To chants of  “The whole world is watching!”,  police, apparently irritated with the peaceful crowd and their video cameras, took a page from the NYPD. They began destroying the Occupiers food supply, then later, tossed the protesters around as they made their arrests.

To serve and protect has taken on a whole new meaning, and it doesn’t seem to include the people at Occupy Wall Street.

President Obama On The Road Again For The American Jobs Act

The President began another three-day trip on Monday, as he continues his push to put Americans back to work. Mr. Obama will visit cities in both North Carolina and Virginia, telling the American people of his jobs bill that will keep teachers and emergency responders on the job, while providing for infrastructure funds to hire thousands more workers.

In the first vote on the President’s $447 billion jobs bill, Senate Republicans unanimously defeated the legislation. But the President is not giving up the fight. He told the crowd at an airport in Asheville, North Carolina, “We’re going to give members of Congress another chance to step up to the plate and do the right thing. Maybe they just couldn’t understand the whole all at once. So we’re going to break it up into bite-size pieces so they can take a thoughtful approach to this legislation.”

At another stop at a high school in Millers Creek, the President told the crowd of about 2000 supporters, “I need you to give Congress a piece of your mind. Tell them what’s at stake here… There are too many of our fellow Americans hurting and you can’t stand by and do nothing. Now is the time to act.”

Watch the President’s speech below.

The Picture Mitt Romney Doesn’t Want You To See

This cannot be the image the Romney campaign wants the voters to see, so that’s why we’re showing it.

LOL.

Here we find the multi-million dollar Republican presidential candidate, from his time at Bain Capital. Romney is doing what Romney does best, no, not flip-flopping, but basking in the royal favor of his Wall Street buddies. And what could be better than having them stuff your pockets with cold hard cash!

No wonder Wall Street is giddy with excitement over the idea of a Romney presidency

A Marriage Proposal – Occupy Wall Street Style

How original is this?

What’s the perfect way to ask the one you love to “occupy your life?” You use the “people’s microphone,” get down on one knee and with hundreds looking on and repeating everything you say, you make your proposal in the middle of a protest movement.

Now that’s original!

The Character Of Dr. King – He Always Kept His Kool – Video

Dr. King appeared on The Mike Douglas Show and faced what some today might call “got’cha” questions. Watch the character of Dr. King, as he kept his kool, and calmly answered their questions, showing a clear authority on the matters he discussed.

President Obama Delivers Speech At Monument For Dr. King – Video

Today, President Obama joined thousands in Washington to commemorate the new monument for Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

“For this day, we celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s return to the National Mall. In this place, he will stand for all time, among monuments to those who fathered this nation and those who defended it; a black preacher with no official rank or title who somehow gave voice to our deepest dreams and our most lasting ideals, a man who stirred our conscience and thereby helped make our union more perfect.”

The President acknowledge that although we as a nation have made progress, “our work, Dr. King’s work is not yet complete.” The President spoke about the various “tests” we have gone through, but urge everyone to remember Dr. King’s tenacity.

“And just as we draw strength from Dr. King’s struggles, so must we draw inspiration from his constant insistence on the oneness of man. The believe, in his words that, ‘we are caught in an inescapable network on neutrality, tied in a single garment of destiny.'”

And the President called for unity in our divided political arena, saying if Dr. King was here today, “…he would want us to know that we can argue fiercely about the proper size and role of government without questioning each other’s love for this country. With the knowledge that in this democracy government is no distant object, but is rather an expression of our common commitments to one another. He would call on us to assume the best in each other, rather than the worst. And challenge one other in ways that ultimately heal, rather than wound.”

Mr. Obama ended by expressing his optimism for America’s future saying, “as tough as times may be, I know we will overcome, I know there are better days ahead, I know this because of the man towering over us, I know this because of all he and his generation endured, we are here today in a country that dedicated a monument to that legacy.”

Keith Olbermann Speaks To Lawyer Of Man Run Over By New York Police

There is absolutely no reason why any police officer should be allowed to intentionally cause harm to anyone, especially when an individual is in harm’s way, but is not putting  said officer’s life in danger. So don’t even try to understand this policeman’s actions in the video below – there’s just no plausible explanation.

Keith Olbermann interviews the lawyer of the victim. Be warned, more scenes of the attack are shown.

Although Republicans Killed American Jobs Bill, President Fights On

Senate Republicans handed the President and the American people a defeat earlier this week, when they joined together and voted against putting Americans back to work. But unlike other times when President Obama would move on to another issue, this time the President is not giving up the fight, vowing to get Americans working again, by making his jobs proposal issue number one.

Coming off a week when his nearly $450 billion jobs bill died in the Senate, Obama made no reference to that failure, instead promising to renew efforts to get Republicans to vote on individual components of the legislation.

“Next week, I’m urging members of Congress to vote on putting hundreds of thousands of teachers back in the classroom, cops back on the streets and firefighters back on the job,” Obama said in his weekly radio and Internet address Saturday.

“And if they vote ‘no’ on that, they’ll have to tell you why,” he said. “They’ll have to tell you why teachers in your community don’t deserve a paycheck again. They’ll have to tell your kids why they don’t deserve to have their teacher back. They’ll have to tell you why they’re against common-sense proposals that would help families and strengthen our communities right now.”

They will vote “NO!’

It’s what they’ve done ever since President Obama was sworn into office. So expect to hear their talking points, their lame excuses explaining why teachers shouldn’t get a paycheck, why middle class Americans don’t deserve to find work. And I’m sure we’ll be hearing these excuses real soon.

Poor Rick Perry – His Son Lost His Job Because Of President Obama

Excuse me while I pass the tissues around. We’re all collectively crying for Rick Perry and his unfortunate family, as they suffer the consequences of the Obama Administration.

According to Anita Perry, Rick’s wife, her poor banker son lost his job because of President Obama’s regulations. So yes, the Perrys are just like us. They have first-hand experience of what if feels like to suffer from the effects of this wretched economy.

At a campaign stop for her husband in South Carolina, Mrs. Perry spoke with a voter, sharing his story about losing his job. Mrs. Perry, who couldn’t wait to tell the world about how terrible the Obama Administration is, and how all the regulations on corporations are causing so many others to lose their jobs as well, jumped in with her story;

“My son lost his job because of this administration,” she said.

Except for one thing…

Seems the young Perry – his name is Griffin btw – contrary to what Anita implies, didn’t actually lose his job at Deutsche Bank. He quit, but because he wanted to help his poor poor dad on the campaign trail. You see, Griffin’s dad is running for President.

Anita goes on explaining her son’s plight,

“He resigned his job two weeks ago because he can’t go out and campaign with his father because of SEC regulations,” she said. “He has a wife… he’s trying to start a business. So I can empathize.”

Yes, she empathizes…!

I remember when my dad was running for president I too had to quit my job…. oh wait… wrong lifetime.

With a show of hands –  how many of the millions of unemployed in the audience quit their high-paying corporate job to help their dad run for President? Hmmm…I’m not seeing any hands.

Yes, the Perrys are suffering just like us, and it’s all Obama’s fault!

New York Police Intentionally Runs Over Occupy Wall Street Protester – Video

If this isn’t criminal, I don’t know what is.

The New York Police Department has come to a new low, and that is something we thought was almost impossible for this police department to do.

In even more evidence that the rights of American citizens to organize and protest are being trampled on, the video below shows a New York police officer riding his bike over the leg of a man. The officer then parks his bike on the screaming man’s leg, then tried to fend off other protesters trying to help the man.

Later reports confirmed the man’s leg was broken because of the incident.

This ladies and gentlemen, is the police’s definition of “protect and serve!”

An Emergency Call From Occupy Wall Street

At 7AM tomorrow – Friday, the owners of Zuccotti Park, formerly “Liberty Plaza Park” – where the Occupy Wall Street movement has set up headquarters – plan to clean the park. This move, according to the occupiers, is just another effort by the Bloomberg administration to end the protest.

Occupy Wall Street  Released the following:

EMERGENCY CALL TO ACTION: Keep Bloomberg and Kelly From Evicting #OWS
Posted Oct. 13, 2011, 2:14 p.m. EST by OccupyWallSt

EMERGENCY #OWS EVICTION DEFENSE:
Prevent the forcible closure of Occupy Wall Street

Tell Bloomberg: Don’t Foreclose the Occupation.
NEED MASS TURN-OUT, SHOW UP NO LATER THAN 6 A.M.

This is an emergency situation. Please take a minute to read this, and please take action and spread the word far and wide.

Occupy Wall Street is gaining momentum, with occupation actions now happening in cities across the world.

But last night Mayor Bloomberg and the NYPD notified Occupy Wall Street participants about plans to “clean the park”—the site of the Wall Street protests—tomorrow starting at 7am. “Cleaning” was used as a pretext to shut down “Bloombergville” a few months back, and to shut down peaceful occupations elsewhere.

Bloomberg says that the park will be open for public usage following the cleaning, but with a notable caveat: Occupy Wall Street participants must follow the “rules”.
NYPD Police Commissioner Ray Kelly has said that they will move in to clear us and we will not be allowed to take sleeping bags, tarps, personal items or gear back into the park.
This is it—this is their attempt to shut down #OWS for good.

PLEASE TAKE ACTION

1) Call 311 (or +1 (212) NEW-YORK if you’re out of town) and tell Bloomberg to support our right to assemble and to not interfere with #OWS.
2) Come to #OWS TONIGHT AT MIDNIGHT to defend the occupation from eviction.

For those of you who plan to help us hold our ground—which we hope will be all of you—make sure you understand the possible consequences. Be prepared to not get much sleep. Be prepared for possible arrest. Make sure your items are together and ready to go (or already out of the park.) We are pursuing all possible strategies; this is a message of solidarity.

Click here to learn nonviolent tactics for holding ground.

Occupy Wall Street is committed to keeping the park clean and safe—we even have a Sanitation Working Group whose purpose this is. We are organizing major cleaning operations today and will do so regularly.

If Bloomberg truly cares about sanitation here he should support the installation of portopans and dumpsters. #OWS allies have been working to secure these things to support our efforts.

We know where the real dirt is: on Wall Street. Billionaire Bloomberg is beholden to bankers.

We won’t allow Bloomberg and the NYPD to foreclose our occupation. This is an occupation, not a permitted picnic.

Bill Donohue To Rick Perry – Drop Jeffrees Before The End Of The Week

“Where did they find this guy? When theological differences are demonized by the faithful of any religion – never mind by a clergyman – it makes a mockery of their own religion. [The] Rev. Jeffress is a poster boy for hatred, not Christianity.”

That was  Bill Donohue, president of the Catholic League. Donohue was discussing the recent remarks made by Robert Jeffress at last week’s conservative Voters Values Summit, where Jeffress endorsed Rick Perry and buried Romney’s faith, referring to it as “non-christian” and earlier as a “cult!”

Speaking with The Christian Post, Donohue said that he disagreed with Jeffrees comments. “That’s simply an ignorant statement,” Donohue said, “Mormons have been around for a long time, so I wouldn’t consider them a cult any longer.”

When asked who he would vote for if Romney is the Republican nominee, Donohue said he would vote for the person most qualified to lead the nation. He then said he cannot vote for President Obama because of his “abortions-on-demand” stance. He then acknowledge that Romney had the same “abortions-on-demand” beliefs, but confessed that Romney would actually get his vote.

“Romney’s positions on abortions are disturbing to me too, Donohue said, “He supported abortion-on-demand when he was governor of Massachusetts but has now said he changed his position. It is concerning that his mother is a supporter of abortion-on-demand and he has made statements that he would do what his mother tells him to, but I would rather have someone who is willing to change his views on abortion than someone who won’t.”

Asked if Perry could run a successful campaign with the Jeffrees’ endorsement and controversy hanging over his head, Donohue said Perry would have to distance himself from Jeffrees first, and the sooner the better… like, by the end of this week!

Today is better than tomorrow, but if he doesn’t do something by the end of the week – and we are almost there – then I think his campaign will be in serious trouble.

Well it’s Friday, and Perry is still holding on to Jeffrees’ endorsement. We’ll see what happens by days end.
