For all who know about the Bible, you would know that what Trump said at a Christian school in Virginia today, was totally horrendous. The man who often brag about his religious background didn’t even know the right way to refer to a verse in the Bible.
“Two [sic] Corinthians, right?” Trump boldly said, causing some laughs, moans and giggles among the audience. “Two [sic] Corinthians 3:17. That’s the whole ballgame.”
Allen West echoed the common Republican thinking when he took to his blog and expressed his disappointment with the fact that 10 US soldiers were captured, fed and then released by Iranian National Guards. As far as West is concerned, America should declare war against Iran and the two nations should duke it out ’till the last man falls!
“The result of two U.S. Navy vessels being boarded and seized by an enemy — which is what the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Navy is — is disturbing,” he wrote on his blog.
“The images and video they took depicting our soldiers on their knees in the position of surrender is damning,” West continued. “This, folks, is an act of war, and our soldiers were captured. Our honor calls upon us to fight, to resist, not surrender.
“The ramifications of not doing so means our honor is now being mocked and we’re seen as nothing more than cowards on our knees. Say what you wish, but that’s the perception in the Middle East, especially to our enemies.”
No surprise here folks. War is the Republicans’ only language. It’s all they know. And although every single soldier was apparently fed and released hours later, West and the Republicans cannot accept that sometimes, war should not be the answer. Bring the guns, shoot bullets, drop bombs, kill tens or even hundreds of thousands of people in the process.
Fight! Fight! Fight! Kill! Kill! Kill! And shed the blood of out troops too!
President Obama is a Christian. He has said this on many occasions and his past venues of worship suggest his Christian belief. So the president quoting and relying on verses from the Bible should come as no surprise to anyone. But Republican Rep. Dave Brat, cannot believe the president has the nerve to quote the Bible.
The president, Brat said, “is using the Christian tradition and trying to bring about compassion by bonking Republicans over the head with the Bible. It’s almost a comedy routine on what compassion and love is. He’s mocking his enemies in order to compel a larger federal state using the tradition of love.”
He said that the conservative movement “needs to reeducate its people that we own the entire tradition” of Christian love, because liberal professors “have rejected natural law” and religious ideas.
The President recently spoke about guns and the deaths of so many American citizens at the hands of crazed lunatics with guns. But when he mentioned the Sandy Hook massacre where 20 kids and 6 adults were senselessly slaughtered, he had to wipe away the tears, a natural emotion that many onlookers understood.
Except over at the “Fair and Balanced” network of Fox News, where one commentator actually said the president placed peppers by his eyes to allow the tears to flow.
“Obama was clearly faking his crying.” said Michael Gunzelman of WABC radio. “He put pepper to his eye and that’s how he started to cry.”
Why this network is considered a “news” network is beyond me. But then again, I can totally understand why one study found that watching Fox News makes you “stupid.”
To hear his wife, Candy Carson tell the tale, our favorite super hero Ben was on his way home from a hard day’s work when all of a sudden, there was a gas station! Ben felt the need… no… the urge to stop for gas and decided against paying at the pump. He went into the establishment, cash in hand when alas, a perp was driving away in “his baby”, the Jaguar!
Carson, being the good guy that he is, obviously completed the transaction before exposing the B on his chest. His action music obviously came on as he sprinted off behind the vehicle, apparently at speeds the Jaguar and its driver couldn’t muster. Moments later, our favorite super hero caught up with the car and carjacker who was still trying to steal the ride.
To make a long story short, Carson then turned on the charm, wooing the carjacker into total submission. Said carjacker surrendered to the one, as the two posed for pictures, you know, lemme take a selfie!
A Republican congresswoman decided to attend a Hillary Clinton event and continuously interrupted the Democratic Presidential candidate with important about her stance on domestic and foreign policies.
Yea right. I said a “Republican congressman,” so if you really thought important policy questions were on her mind at the Clinton event, then I have a bridge to sell you.
The congresswoman, Rep. Katherin Prudhomme O’Brien, showed up and wanted to know about Bill Clinton’s sex life, a topic so important to her that she constantly bombarded the presidential candidate with questions to the point where Mrs Clinton called her “rude” and informed her that such disruptive outbursts will not be tolerated.
It should come as no surprise that the national spokesperson for Donald Trump wore a bullet necklace in a recent CNN interview. Yes, we all know that Americans are being murdered daily with guns at an alarming rate, and we all know about the record amount of mass shootings in 2015. One would think that at a time when gun violence is sadly so prevalent in our society, that a little more sensitivity would be had by those in power.
One would be wrong for thinking that.
Katrina Pierson, Donald Trump’s spokesperson thought it was appropriate to wear a bullet and shell casing neck ornament on CNN. The necklace was so outrageous, it drew the attention of Shannon Watts, the founder of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America. Shannon took to twitter and tweeted;
“Surely KatrinaPierson wore bullet necklace on to bring attention to 90 Americans fatally shot daily.”
Forget Ebola and all the fears that caused. Researchers and now discovering a form on cancer that is believed to be contagious.
Transmissible cancers – cancers which can spread between individuals by the transfer of living cancer cells – are believed to arise extremely rarely in nature.
One of the few known transmissible cancers causes facial tumours in Tasmanian devils, and is threatening this species with extinction.
The discovery by researchers from the University of Tasmania in Australia, and the University of Cambridge in UK, calls into question our current understanding of the processes that drive cancers to become transmissible.
Tasmanian devils are iconic marsupial carnivores that are only found in the wild in Tasmania. The size of a small dog, the animals have a reputation for ferocity as they frequently bite each other during mating and feeding interactions.
In 1996, researchers observed Tasmanian devils in the north-east of the island with tumours affecting the face and mouth; soon it was discovered that these tumours were contagious between devils, spread by biting.
The cancer spreads rapidly throughout the animal’s body and the disease usually causes the death of affected animals within months of the appearance of symptoms.
The president and his family is vacationing in Hawaii, but even there – far away from the White House – eyebrows are being raised as another CIA mishap allowed someone or something to get a little too close to the president.
The president was traveling in his motorcade after a game of golf, when a man took his drone to the sky and flew it right alongside the president’s car. The man was quickly identified and told to land his quadcopter-style drone. He “immediately complied with law enforcement requests to cease and desist,” the statement said. No charges were filed and the motorcade did not stop or slow down because of the incident.
According to the statement, the man was “completely unaware” that the president was traveling in the area.
The CIA has come under attacks in recent months for allowing one too many close encounters with the president. From allowing a fence jumper at the White House to run all the way to the East Room, to allowing an armed contractor to ride an elevator with the president, the CIA’s protection detail of the president is questioned too often these days. And now this.
We can all be thankful of the job the CIA is doing most of the time to protect the First Family, but we should also be thankful that the man with his drone was “completely unaware” of the president’s motorcade. Can you imagine what could have happened if this drone was armed and the encounter was intentional?
Do your job CIA. Don’t just do it 99% of the time, do your job ALL the time!
Anitra Braxton, a 39-year-old woman from Arizona, told police that she shot the woman in her eye because that woman did not believe in God. After shooting the woman, Braxton told police that she covered the woman’s body in a towel and left it on the couch for 2 to 3 days as a “shrine from God.”
Police found the body on the woman’s sofa on December 26th.
Police was told of the scene at Braxton’s apartment and went to investigate. After Braxton opened the door she told police that she lived alone. Police looked past the doorway into the apartment and saw the body covered in a towel and lying on the sofa. Braxton was arrested and charged with first degree murder.
While being questioned, Braxton told police the victim on the couch was a “shrine from God” and was actually her own body. She later told police that the victim had been shot in the eye for not believing in God.
Police also learned from Braxton that the body had been inside her apartment for two to three days and based on evidence, police believe the apartment had been cleaned up in the days since.
Braxton has been charged with first-degree murder and police have thus far been unable to identify the victim.
Twelve year old Tamir Rice is dead and gone. The little boy was shot and killed by an Ohio police officer in 2014. Today however, over a year after Rice was killed, a grand jury stated that the officer was absolutely correct and within his right to pull up on Tamir Rice and killed the boy within 3 seconds of getting on the scene.
The white police officer who fatally shot Tamir Rice, an African American 12-year-old, will not face criminal charges, it was announced on Monday – more than a year after the shooting in Cleveland.
A grand jury declined to indict officer Timothy Loehmann, who opened fire on Tamir less than two seconds after arriving at a park where the 12-year-old was playing with a toy gun on 22 November 2014. Loehmann’s partner, Frank Garmback, will also face no charges, Cuyahoga county prosecutor Timothy McGinty announced at a press conference.
McGinty argued that Tamir’s death was caused by a “perfect storm of human error, mistakes and miscommunications by all involved that day” but there was no evidence of criminal misconduct by police. The two officers believed they were responding to a “potential active shooter situation” and had not been provided with crucial details of a 911 call reporting that Rice was likely a juvenile with a gun that was “probably fake”, McGinty said.
“Had the officers been aware of these qualifiers, the training officer who was driving might have approached the scene with less urgency; lives may not have been put at stake,” McGinty said.
Right-wing Republican extremist activist Theodore Shoebat says he’s all for Donald Trump’s apparent position to kill all family members of terrorist. In fact, Shoebat says that killing all family members of terrorists is exactly what God wants and demands.
“God himself is for that because when He commands His armies to invade the enemy nations, He makes it very clear you kill their families as well,” Shoebat stated. “So Trump actually has the most biblical policy in killing the families. I mean, if you want to take out an evil nation, you’ve got to kill the families because if you don’t kill the families, they’re going to produce children and those children wind up being your enemies and you’re just never going to get rid of the problem.”
“Look at the Japanese,” he continued. “America killed like, what, a half a million Japanese? Guess what? The Japs are still causing problems! They’re still causing problems. Yeah, they were peaceful for a few decades here and there, but look, now they want weapons, now they want to become independent from U.S. military influence, now they want their own fighter jet, now they want to start causing problems with China, now they want to commence conflict, now they want to change the history books and make it like America was the bad guy and Japan was the holy nation. Japan is now causing us problems. Why? Because we didn’t finish the job in World War II.”
“When you want to get rid of a problem, you need to get rid of the families as well,”Shoebat concluded. “It’s a biblical solution.”
