Republican Sen. Ted Cruz Said He “Never Heard” of Republican Rep. Peter King

And this is why I say they lie. I simply cannot believe that the Republican Senator representing Texas never heard of the Republican Representative from New York. Cruz is not a new comer to Washington, and neither is Peter King. Both have been frequent “guests” on many television shows over the last few years and they’re both in the same party. But Cruz insists that he never heard of the man, Peter King, a member of the Homeland Security Committee and Chairman of the Sub-Committee on Counterterrorism and Intelligence.

Rep. Peter King? Never heard of him, Sen. Ted Cruz says.

The Texas senator says he had never heard of the New York Republican who has repeatedly and harshly attacked him until recently.

“I don’t know Mr. King,” Cruz, a Texas Republican, said on CNN on Tuesday evening. “I’ve never met him. To be honest, I don’t think I had ever heard of him until he started getting on television attacking me.”

Before the senator’s comments, host Erin Burnett played a clip from last week of King calling Cruz “a fraud” and saying that the October 2013 government shutdown that he championed was ineffective.

In his appearance Tuesday night, Cruz elected not to push back, saying instead that there is too much bickering in Washington on both sides.

“He’s welcome to express his opinions, and he is entitled to them,” Cruz said of King. “I think there are far too many politicians in Washington in both parties that spend their time attacking each other rather than focusing on the substance.”

GOP Lies – Dave Brat Said He Went To Princeton, He Did Not Go To Princeton

Dave Brat

This little missed piece of nugget came after the Washington Post contacted the school asking for information on The Brat. The response from the school was a tad bit shocking!

“We have no record under that name.” said the University spokesman, Martin Mbugua.

As it turns out, he did obtain his masters in divinity in Princeton, which is a well respected theological institution but not the prestigious Ivy League school that Princeton University is recognized as.

Mbugua says that occasionally people “make an association between the institutions here in Princeton — an incorrect association.” Although the two institutions are located in the same town there is no connection between the two.

The WaPo has sent an e-mail to Brat’s campaign requesting a comment on the discrepancy, but has not yet received a reply.

Interestingly, Brat appeared on Mark Levin’s radio show and accused Cantor of making false statements about him during his primary campaign. Levin was one of the-far right talk radio personalities who supported Brat, saying that most of the party “sound alike, they look alike almost” and that the rank and file wanted a “Constitutional conservative in the leadership, not just the next guy in line.”

ObamaCare Report – Republicans Have Been Lying To You All Along – Report

Some of you wouldn’t believe this, but Republicans have been lying to you all along… about everything… especially Obamacare, also called The Affordable Care Act.

Let’s begin with the meme threatening that healthcare reform will lead to a serious decline in full-time employment as employers reduce workforce hours to below 30 per week in the effort to avoid their responsibility to provide health benefits to their employees.

It turns out that there has, in fact, been no such rush to reduce work hours. Indeed, numbers released last week reveal that precisely the opposite is taking place.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), the number of part-time workers in the United States has fallen by 300,000 since March of 2010 when the Affordable Care Act was passed into law. What’s more, in the past year alone—the time period in which the nation was approaching the start date for Obamacare—full-time employment grew by over 2 million while part-time employment declined by 230,000.

And it gets even more interesting.

Despite the cries of anguish over the coming destruction of private sector work opportunities at the hands of Obamacare, it turns out that the only significant ‘cutter’ of work hours turns out to be in the public sector where cops, teachers, prison guards and the like are experiencing cuts in work time as cities, states and universities seek to avoid the obligations of the health reform law.

Correct me if I am wrong, but is it not the very same folks who strenuously oppose Obamacare who are constantly screaming for smaller government? Are these not the same people who have, for as many years as I can recall, been carping about swollen government payrolls?

But the false narrative that has been peddled to make us believe that the private sector can’t wait to lower our hours of employment turns out not to be the only false note being played by anti-Obamacare forces.

For months now, we have been pounded with the story of the millions of Americans who have lost their non-group, individual health insurance policy due to cancellations forced by Obamacare.

Yet, a new study just out by Lisa Clemans-Cope and Nathaniel Anderson of the Urban Institute tells a very different story.

Scott Walker Claims He Voted for Reagan, Although He Wasn’t Old Enough to Vote

Just another Republican doing what he does best… lying.

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker (R) talked to Right Wing News about voting for Ronald Reagan:

“I remember, I was a teenager, had just become a teenager and voted for Ronald Reagan — limited government, you know, smaller government, lower taxes, strong national defense. You knew what you were getting. You knew how a Reagan administration, a Reagan presidency was going to be better for you.”

One problem: Blogging Blue notes Walker wasn’t old enough to vote in either 1980 or 1984 when Reagan ran for president.

Breaking News: Lying Mitt Romney Says Chris Christie is Telling The Truth – Video

What If a known liar tells you that the sky is falling, would you look up to verify?

What if he tells you that on the President Obama’s watch we have lost jobs. Would you believe him or would you check the recorded facts showing that under this president we have gained almost 10 million jobs so far?

And what if that same liar told you that he believes Chris Christie is telling the truth about Bridgegate? Would you believe him?

Those are some of the questions to ask yourself as you watch Mitt Romney in this recent interview on CNN.

This Republican Tell Lies About Abe Lincoln

Arizona Republican gubernatorial hopeful Al Melvin is using quotes from Abe Lincoln in his running fight with President Barack Obama and his policies.

The problem: The 16th president never said the things about class warfare Melvin is quoting.

For example, in postings last week on Twitter, the state senator from Tucson wrote, “You cannot further the brotherhood of man by inciting class hatred.” That quote, Melvin said, came from Lincoln.

Ditto for a quote of, “You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich,” and “You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong.”

None of these came from Lincoln, Brooks Simpson, a professor of history at Arizona State University, said when asked about the quotes by Capitol Media Services.

“I can tell you that these quotes are spurious,” Simpson said. “They do not appear in Lincoln’s writings or in his recollected words.” Melvin said he got the quotes from a Republican club newsletter.

PolitiFact Chose Mitt Romney As Liar Of The Year

His entire campaign could have won this dubious honor, but it was the lie he told in the final stages of his campaign that put Romney over the top and earned him PolitiFact’s liar of the year award.

It was a lie told in the critical state of Ohio in the final days of a close campaign — that Jeep was moving its U.S. production to China. It originated with a conservative blogger, who twisted an accurate news story into a falsehood. Then it picked up steam when the Drudge Report ran with it. Even though Jeep’s parent company gave a quick and clear denial, Mitt Romney repeated it and his campaign turned it into a TV ad.

And they stood by the claim, even as the media and the public expressed collective outrage against something so obviously false.

People often say that politicians don’t pay a price for deception, but this time was different: A flood of negative press coverage rained down on the Romney campaign, and he failed to turn the tide in Ohio, the most important state in the presidential election.

PolitiFact has selected Romney’s claim that Barack Obama “sold Chrysler to Italians who are going to build Jeeps in China” at the cost of American jobs as the 2012 Lie of the Year.

Lying Joe Isuzu Merges Into Lying Mitt Romney, Or Is Lying Mitt Romney Merging Into Lying Joe Isuzu?

Joe Isuzu. Remember him? He was the “car salesman” for Isuzu cars in the 1980’s. Joe was known for making promises about Isuzu cars that were… for lack of a better word… lies. In one of his commercials he promised viewers that if they bought one Isuzu, they would get another car for free. He also said things like, “this car is so cheap, you can buy one with pocket change.” He said that while holding up a quarter he pulled from his pocket.

Well birds of a feather flock together, and Joe has seen something in Mitt Romney that made him revert to his old lying ways. Joe has substituted the Isuzu car with Mitt Romney, and he is saying some things that he know are lies.

In the ad below, lying Joe Isuzu merges into lying Mitt Romney… or is it lying Mitt Romney merging into lying Joe Isuzu?

You decide.

PolitiFact – Mitt Romney Lies 58 Percent More Than All Other Candidates Combined

You’ve all heard it, that Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan are liars. Well, no need to take our word on it, we now have a study that proves exactly what we’ve said all along.

PolitiFact – a ‘non partisan’ organisation that many considers lean slightly to the right – did the study comparing the claims of the Republican Presidential ticket of Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan to those of the Democratic Presidential ticket, Barack Obama and Joe Biden.

PolitiFact found the following;

For statements that were ruled to be “True” and “Mostly True”, it’s Obama and Biden at 45.0%, Romney and Ryan at 29.1%. When it comes to “False”, “Mostly False” and “Pants on Fire”, it’s Romney and Ryan at 43.9% and Obama and Biden at 28.8%. In fact, Romney and Ryan have over 4 times as many “Pants of Fire” lies as the President and Vice President. Mitt Romney himself has well over half of the total amount of “Pants of Fire” lies (58.6%) of all the candidates combined!

Paul Ryan Caught On Tape Lying To The American People… Twice! – Video

Move along folks, there’s nothing to see here. Just another story pointing out something you’ve all heard before and know for a fact – that Mitt Romney, the Republican presidential candidate and his running mate Paul Ryan, both lie.

In this posting, you’ll see Paul Ryan denying that he requested Stimulus funds, only to admit that he did in fact, asked for funds on two different occasions. This admission came when Ryan’s back was against the wall in the vice-presidential debate.
