Jeb Bush Gets The Okay from His Wife to Run for President

While Mitt Romney’s wife appears dead set against the idea of him running a third campaign for president of the United States, wife of Jeb Bush said that she is all for her man running in 2016.

“My wife is supportive, but that doesn’t mean that I don’t understand the challenges that this brings,” Jeb said in an interview with the Associated Press Tuesday. “This is ultimately my decision with as much consideration as I can to take into account the people that I really love.”

Bush has been actively encouraged to run by several members of the GOP establishment and would enter the presidential contest as an early favorite. But he has publicly indicated that concerns over the toll of a presidential campaign on his family are weighing heavily on his decision to run. Columba Bush was previously reported to be reluctant to support a 2016 bid.

If the Romneys are serious about not running in 2016 – and there are questions about their claims of being “done, done, done” – we might be looking at another Bush/Clinton matchup – Jeb Bush vs Hillary Clinton.

As if 2 bushes weren’t enough!

Chelsea Clinton’s Baby Girl Is Here – Charlotte Clinton Mezvinsky – PIC

The tweet from the Chelsea Clinton says it all. The baby was born on Friday September 26th at 703PM, and needless to say, all the Clintons – the former President, the former Secretary of State and the former First Daughter – are all proud of their accomplishment. Oh, and so is the daddy Marc… he proud too! 🙂

Remember when Republicans were saying that Chelsea’s pregnancy was fake, a ploy put into place by Hillary Clinton for… whatever reason? Republicans are a vile bunch indeed!

At Least 4 More Months Before Hillary Clinton Announce Her Bid for President

“I am going to be making a decision…probably after the first of the year about whether I’m going to run again or not,” Mrs Clinton said at an event in Mexico City, according to Reuters.

Clinton is in Mexico for a charity-related event hosted by billionaire Carlos Slim.

She formally announced the exploratory committee for her failed 2008 presidential campaign on January 20, 2007.

Hillary Clinton Finally Spoke About Mike Brown’s Killing

After a growing public uproar surrounding her silence on the Mike Brown shooting in Ferguson Missouri, Hillary Clinton – the more than likely Democratic nominee for president in 2016 – finally spoke up on the issue, saying that as a country we must all do what we can to fix the “iniquities” in our justice system.

“We can’t ignore the inequities that persist in our justice system that undermine our most deeply held values of fairness and equality,” she said.

Clinton’s comments came at the end of a paid speech she gave in San Francisco. And she said that watching Brown’s funeral broke her heart.

She then compared the white privilege with the black reality.

“Imagine what we would feel and what we would do if white drivers were three times as likely to be searched by police during a traffic stop as black drivers, instead of the other way around,” Clinton said. “If white offenders received prison sentences 10 percent longer than black offenders for the same crimes. If a third of all white men—just look at this room and take one third—went to prison during their lifetime. Imagine that. That is the reality in the lives of so many of our fellow Americans and so many of the communities in which they live.”

Hillary Clinton Calls Obama to Make Amends – Hugs Planned at Martha’s Vineyard

Hillary Clinton found out the hard way that President Obama is still very popular amongst Democrats and liberals – the people whose votes she desperately need if she runs for president in 2016.

After pushing the Republican criticism of the President’s foreign policy decisions, and the backlash he criticism garnered, Hillary Clinton is now backtracking her statement, calling the President and trying to clarify her what she said.

For good measure, she planned on “hugging it out” with the President at an A-list party Wednesday evening on Martha’s Vineyard.
Clinton spokesman Nick Merrill said Clinton dialed up Obama to emphasize “that nothing she said was an attempt to attack him, his policies, or his leadership.”

“While they’ve had honest differences … some are now choosing to hype those differences but they do not eclipse their broad agreement on most issues,” he said.

“Like any two friends who have to deal with the public eye, she looks forward to hugging it out when she they see each other tomorrow night.”

The attempt at fence-mending came after she critiqued Obama’s foreign policy – and was tweet-slapped by Obama’s former political guru in return.

Progressive Group Issues Stern Warning to Hillary Clinton for “Stupid” Comments about Obama

MoveOn has seen this game played out before and it is a game perfected by right-winged media nuts like Rush Limbaugh and politicians like John McCain.

So when Hillary Clinton joined that same right-winged talking-point and condemned Obama for not arming the rebels in Syria, effectively calling the president’s decision not to arm “stupid,” MoveOn stepped in and issued this warning to Clinton “and any other person” wishing to get the Democratic nomination in 2016.

The statement was on Tuesday by Ilya Sheyman, the executive director of MoveOn Political Action.

Secretary Clinton, and any other person thinking about seeking the Democratic nomination in 2016, should think long and hard before embracing the same policies advocated by right-wing war hawks that got America into Iraq in the first place and helped set the stage for Iraq’s troubles today. These hawkish policy stances are also threatening to undermine the peaceful international resolution of Iran’s nuclear program.
Voters elected President Obama in 2008 to bring the war in Iraq to an end. MoveOn members will continue to stand with elected officials who oppose military escalation that could put us back on a path to endless war.

David Axelrod Fires Back at Hillary Clinton’s Swipe Against Obama

David Axelrod

In a recent interview with The Atlantic, Hillary Clinton, a potential candidate for the Democratic presidential nod in 2016, made a swipe at President Obama’s foreign policy decisions, implying that the president has acted stupidly in some of his foreign policy decisions.

“Great nations need organizing principles, and ‘Don’t do stupid stuff’ is not an organizing principle,” Clinton is quoted as saying.

One member, or former member of the Obama administration has taken offense to Clinton’s summarization of President Obama,  and he strongly voiced his opposition on twitter.

In response to Clinton’s knock against the President, David Axelrod tweeted, Just to clarify: “Don’t do stupid stuff” means stuff like occupying Iraq in the first place, which was a tragically bad decision.

I must say, I totally agree with Mr. Axelrod.

Hillary Clinton Adopts Republican Talking Points – Criticizes Barack Obama

Hillary Clinton has decided not only to run away from Barack Obama, but she has joined the Republicans in blaming the Obama administration for the birth of the terrorists group ISIS and the turmoil in Iraq.

In recent interviews, Clinton is quoted as saying that Obama’s “failure to help build up a credible fighting force of the people who were the originators of the protests against Assad—there were Islamists, there were secularists, there was everything in the middle—the failure to do that left a big vacuum, which the jihadists have now filled,” Clinton said.

As she writes in her memoir of her State Department years, Hard Choices, she was an inside-the-administration advocate of doing more to help the Syrian rebellion. Now, her supporters argue, her position has been vindicated by recent events.

Will Clinton’s decision to go against the president hurt her with the die-hard Obama supporters? Time will tell…

Hillary Clinton’s “Unannounced” Appearance on The Colbert Report – Video

By the way, Hillary Clinton is running for president.

In what seems to be an unscripted spontaneous appearance, Clinton “surprised” Stephen Colbert last night as he was conveniently in the middle of dissing her book, Hard Choices.

“This book is 656 pages of shameless name-dropping,” Colbert said before Hillary showed up on set. “I just don’t buy any of this. There is no way on earth one woman can be in so many places at once.”

Her appearance turned out to be a competition to see who knew more people. Of course, the Former Secretary of State won.

Hillary Clinton Slams Dick Cheney’s Hypocrisy in Interview – Video

You know how to Dick Cheney always blame President Obama for mistakes he and George Bush made? Every chance he gets Cheney goes on national television and point fingers at President Obama, ignoring the fact that the 10 year disaster in Iraq happened under Bush’s watch.

Well Hillary Clinton has had enough of the Cheney lies and hypocrisy,  and in an interview airing tonight on Fusion, Clinton sets the record straight once and for all!

When asked about Cheney’s claim that “rarely has a U.S. president been so wrong about so much at the expense of so many,” Clinton said, “He should’ve been talking about himself, shouldn’t he?”

She added;

“I don’t know why he’s saying what he’s saying, and clearly we don’t need that kind of vitriol and finger pointing,” Clinton continued. “One of the things we’ve lost over the last few years is that idea where we’re going to have our differences but when we face problems, whether they’re humanitarian problems, terrorist problems, whatever they might be, we need to come together and work together and we need to have a nonpartisan approach. And he keeps trying to inject a personal and partisan approach where it doesn’t belong.”

Hillary Clinton Kinda Answers the Question About Running For President in 2016

Hillary Clinton appeared on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart to promote her new book, “Hard Choices.” Stewart however, had other more pressing things to talk about and got straight to the point.

“I think I speak for everybody when I say, ‘No one cares,'” Stewart said, referring to Clinton’s book. “They just want to know if you are running for President.”

“Jon, I was going to make an announcement, but you kind of spoiled it,” she responded.

Stewart pushed a little more and asked the former Secretary of State a few questions to determine what she would possibly be doing in 2016. Questions like whether she likes to commute to work or prefers a home office. Clinton answered home office. Stewart asked about her preference for offices, whether she prefers an office with or without corners. Clinton responded jokingly that she prefers an office with “fewer corners,” a clear reference to the Oval Office in the White House.

“So it sounds like to me, if I may, you have declared your candidacy,” Stewart said.

John McCain Accidentally Calls Hillary Clinton “President”

Senator John McCain of Arizona accidentally referred to Hillary Clinton as “President” today in an interview. He immediately realized his mistake and quickly took it back.
But was it really a mistake or was the senior senator from Arizona practicing for inevitable in 2016.

McCain was responding on CBS’ Face the Nation to a compliment from Clinton calling him her ‘favorite Republican.’

He uncomfortably laughed it off before mistakenly elevating her to the job she’s expected to campaign for in 2016.

‘I hope this part of the program is blacked out in Arizona – please cut,’ he joked as he made a slashing gesture over his neck. ‘I respect Secretary, Senator Clinton. I respect her views. We have had disagreements on a number of issues.’

He then acknowledged Clinton’s frontrunner status in a rather unorthodox way.

‘I think it’s my job to work with every president,’ McCain said, before quickly adding while comically contorting his face with mock fear, ‘If she is – regrettably – if she attains the presidency.’
