Spurred by the American people and their constant protests against Donald Trump and his draconian ideas and policies, Congressional Democrats are slowly coming to terms with the only logical way to deal with Trump – become the party of NO!
Reduced to their weakest state in a generation, Democratic Party leaders will gather in two cities this weekend to plot strategy and select a new national chairman with the daunting task of rebuilding the party’s depleted organization. But senior Democratic officials concede that the blueprint has already been chosen for them — by an incensed army of liberals demanding no less than total war against President Trump.
Immediately after the November election, Democrats were divided over how to handle Mr. Trump, with one camp favoring all-out confrontation and another backing a seemingly less risky approach of coaxing him to the center with offers of compromise.
Now, spurred by explosive protests and a torrent of angry phone calls and emails from constituents — and outraged themselves by Mr. Trump’s swift moves to enact a hard-line agenda — Democrats have all but cast aside any notion of conciliation with the White House. Instead, they are mimicking the Republican approach of the last eight years — the “party of no” — and wagering that brash obstruction will pay similar dividends.
Based on the video, we didn’t get to see what happened before the infamous Katt Williams punch. But the kid is seen dangerously close to the reach of William’s fist. Then it happened and all hell broke loose!
You drive up to the drive thru window at McDonalds and behold, a brutal smack down is on the way between the guy in the drive through window and the customer in front of you. What do you do?
Well of course, you pull out your cell phone and press record!
This fight is scheduled for 1 fall. According to LiveLeak, it happened in Minneapolis. According to the person with the cellphone, “Just stopped at McDonald’s for a Big Mac after curling league and came upon this.”
So I watched the Floyd Mayweather / Manny Pacquiao fight last night and when it was all over, there were lots of shouting and disbelief over the fight itself and its outcome.
You see, I was the only one in the room of 7 people who wanted Mayweather to win. Now let me explain. I am not a fan of Mayweather. If I had to choose who the better human was between Mayweather and Pacquiao, I’ll definitely pick Pacquiao. Pacquiao is all about helping the people of his country while Mayweather is all about helping… Mayweather. But last night was not about being the better human, it was about being the better and smarter fighter. So that’s why I thought Mayweather was going to take it.
Pacquiao walked out to the ring all smiles. At one point, he even stopped and took a selfie, a move the other people in the room saw as a man of confidence. I took the smiles and selfie move as a man who was concerned he was going up against a fighter who had never been defeated. The smiles and selfie I thought, were just Pacquiao’s way of masking his real concerns.
Mayweather on the other hand walked out to the ring all serious, no smiles, no selfie. To me, I took that as a man on a mission, a man who was focus on getting the job done. The other people in the room contrasted Mayweather’s demeanor with that of Pacquiao and concluded Mayweather’s seriousness was because he was concerned. “Mayweather,” they said, “had never had a fighter like Pacquiao and he was afraid of being hit, afraid of losing.”
Then the fight began and Pacquiao did what everyone expected him to do. He went at Mayweather. Pacquiao fought for the people, he tried to give the audience what they paid for. Pacquiao was aggressive and went for the knockout on multiple occasions. But Mayweather was not cooperating to the dismay of the other people in the room with me.
Mayweather did his homework. He knew that going toe-to-toe with Pacquiao would result to a loss. Pacquiao is a brawler in the ring and standing in front of him taking punches and jabs is no way to win a fight. So Mayweather allowed Pacquiao to stay in attack mode from the first round to the last. Mayweather’s only hope was to avoid getting hit while landing some timely punches, and that he did.
In the end, Mayweather was a runner. He spent a lot of time on the ropes trying to get away from the attacking Pacquiao. Needless to say, the people in the room with me were all screaming at the screen, calling Mayweather all sorts of names and totally expressing their frustrations at him for running. But these people, and millions more around the world who felt disappointed by Mayweather’s technique, clearly missed one important aspect of boxing – Defense, the art of avoiding getting hit the best way you can!
At the end of the 12 rounds, Mayweather was called the winner and the room erupted in more screams and disbelief. These people couldn’t understand what had just happened. They saw Pacquiao in attack mode for 12 rounds and they saw Mayweather playing defense the whole time, so as far as they were concerned, Pacquiao won. They couldn’t understand how Mayweather got the win. Then this statistic was shown on the screen – Mayweather landed more punches than Pacquiao.
Pacquiao threw 429 punches, landed 81 for a 19% effective rate. Mayweather threw 435 punches, landed 149 for a 34% effective rate.
Seeing this, I asked the disbelievers in the room, “why do you guys think Pacquiao won when he threw less and landed less punches than Mayweather?”
I got this angry answer in response: “You can’t fight the wind!”
And fans of boxing sit on pins and needles, anxiously awaiting a date.
Manny Pacquiao, the Filipino star, who is willing to take a smaller percentage of the purse to push negotiations through, suggested talks are on track to the Manila Standard (h/t Martin Domin of the MailOnline):
“We will make an announcement before the end of the month. I think it will happen,” Pacquiao revealed.
Fans can expect Mayweather’s love affair with Las Vegas’ MGM Grand to continue in a fight worth approximately $300 million. It is widely suggested Pacquiao wishes to battle on May 2 to coincide with Cinco de Mayo, but Miguel Cotto is also expected to face Saul Alvarez in another major box office draw on this date.
An eyewitness to the incident said that Bristal Palin was like a mad woman. Said Roberta Thompson, “what I saw was two girls run past and run towards Korey, and then I just saw Bristol Palin start punching him in the face. It was quite, quite violent!”
The incident Roberta Thompson was referring to was a brawl that happened at a home where the Palins were in attendance. Police responded to the location and verified that the Palins were in fact, present and involved.
After hearing what eye witnesses had to say about the fight, you would think Sarah Palin would denounce the violent actions taken by her daughter and other members of her family, but you’d be wrong to think that.
Today, Sarah Palin came out and defended her daughter Bristol and the assault she carried out on others at the home. In a Facebook post, Sarah professed her love for her daughter, and said that she was “proud” that Bristol violently attacked the man at the home to protect her family.
I love my Bristol! My straight-shooter is one of the strongest young women you’ll ever meet. I have to say this as a proud mama: right up there with their work ethic and heart for those less fortunate, my kids’ defense of family makes my heart soar! As you can imagine, they and my extended family have experienced so many things (liberal media-driven) that may have crushed others without a strong foundation of faith, and I’m thankful for our friends’ prayer shield that surrounds them, allowing faith to remain their anchor. Thank you, prayer warriors! I love you!
Now I totally understand and appreciate your unconditional love for your children Mrs Palin, but does that ‘love’ requires you to be an enabler? Should you ignore your kid’s crime in the name of ‘love’? Assaulting someone is a crime Mrs Palin, punishable in most states with time in jail. Shouldn’t that “love” require, no demand you to point out Bristol’s wrong and help her deal with her violent ways?
Oh, now I see what being a mama grizzly really mean. This is how grizzlies show their love I guess…
Roberta Thompson told TPM that she was present at the home where the drunken brawl by mama grizzly Sarah Palin and the rest of the Palin family took place.
“It was just so shocking,” Roberta Thompson said.
She mostly confirmed what her husband told multiple news outlets last week, saying that the two of them were right next to each other during the incident. But she provided her own take on how the events unfolded, including a portion that she said involved the eldest Palin daughter, Bristol Palin, and the owner of the house, Korey Klingenmeyer.
“What I saw was two girls run past and run towards Korey,” Roberta Thompson said. “And then I just saw Bristol Palin start punching him in the face.”
“It was quite, quite violent,” she added.
She said Klingenmeyer was clearly upset about what was happening but maintained his composure.
“She kept punching him and then he just said, you know, ‘You need to go,'” Thompson said.
Klingenmeyer escorted the Palins around the corner from there, Thompson said, and she did not see what happened after that.
In an exclusive statement to The Associated Press, Jay Z, Beyonce and apparently Solange, have all agreed to put the infamous elevator incident behind them and move on.
“As a result of the public release of the elevator security footage from Monday, May 5th, there has been a great deal of speculation about what triggered the unfortunate incident. But the most important thing is that our family has worked through it,” the statement said. “Jay and Solange each assume their share of responsibility for what has occurred. They both acknowledge their role in this private matter that has played out in the public. They both have apologized to each other and we have moved forward as a united family.”
The statement continued;
“The reports of Solange being intoxicated or displaying erratic behavior throughout that evening are simply false,” the statement continued. “At the end of the day families have problems and we’re no different. We love each other and above all we are family. We’ve put this behind us and hope everyone else will do the same.”
The first casualty of the Jay Z, Beyonce, Solange Knowles incident has now been announced. According to reports, the hotel employee who released the video showing Jay Z getting his assets punched, kicked and scratched to TMZ has been fired.
According to the hotel, the person was fired for “breaching the security polices of the hotel and recording the confidential CCTV video.”
Celebrity website TMZ shared the video on Monday, which appears to be from the night of the Met Gala and shows Solange attacking Jay Z while Beyoncé watches. There is no audio, but many theories have been floated for why the fight happened.
The Standard Hotel said after the video aired Monday that it was “shocked and disappointed.” On Wednesday, the hotel added that it would turn over “all available information to criminal authorities.”
Neither Jay Z, Beyoncé, or Solange have publicly commented on the video, but Beyoncé posted a slew of Instagram photos with her and her sister showing affection for one another.
Boy, something must have really pissed off Beyoncé’s sister. As soon as the elevator door closed, the 27-year old Solange lunged at Jay Z, swinging legs, arms, fists and feet at her 44-year-old billionaire brother-in-law. The entire episode was caught on surveillance camera as the group left the Met Gala after party in New York last Monday.
As the younger sister of Beyoncé is finally restrained, Beyoncé is seen standing next to her battered husband while Solange continued trying to get more of the Jay!
The group finally exits the elevator, Jay Z captured holding the side of his face.
