More Insanity – Armed Felon Allowed on Elevator With The President

Just when you think it couldn’t get more ridiculous, more unbelievable, more unacceptable than an man being allowed to jog across the White House lawn and enter the White House with a knife in his pocket, you hear this news – that three days before the White House intruder made his unwanted visit to the White House, the Secret Service once again dropped the ball and allowed a man with a gun to ride an elevator with President Obama.

But wait, it wasn’t just any man with a gun, it was a felon with a gun!!!

I said it before and I’ll say it again. Someone at the Secret Service needs to be fired preferably the head of the Secret Service, Ms. Pierson!

An armed private security agent was allowed on an elevator with President Barack Obama earlier this month in Atlanta, a Secret Service official said on Tuesday, in another case involving a security failure for the embattled agency.

The incident occurred while Obama was visiting the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on Sept. 16, three days before a man with a knife jumped the White House fence in Washington and ran into the executive mansion.

The White House intrusion has sparked sharp criticism of the agency responsible for protecting the president. Secret Service Director Julia Pierson told a congressional committee on Tuesday: “This is unacceptable and I take full responsibility.”

In the Atlanta incident, first reported by the Washington Examiner and Washington Post, a security contractor with the CDC was operating the elevator carrying Obama and his Secret Service detail.

The man began taking pictures and video of Obama on his phone, prompting the Secret Service to take him aside for questioning after they left the elevator, the agency official said.

It was not until his supervisor appeared and asked for his gun that the Secret Service realize he was armed, the official said. Under agency rules, people with access to the president need special clearance to carry guns.

The Washington Post reported that a background check also showed the man had three previous convictions for assault and battery.

Florida: Maintenance Man Arrested for Sexually Assaulting Woman in Hotel Elevator

The woman said she woke up on the roof of the Clevelander Hotel in Miami Beach and saw that she was naked. About 3AM, she said a man found her and took her to the elevator where the sexual assault took place. She went to her room and call the police and Eberto Medrano Ramirez was arrested shortly after.

“The Clevelander Hotel is aware of an alleged assault in the early morning hours,” the hotel said in a statement. “As always, we are fully cooperating with the Miami Beach Police Department to fully investigate the situation. We do know at this time that no Clevelander associates were involved in the allegation. We will continue to work with local authorities as investigation is ongoing.”

Police are looking to see if this was a crime of opportunity and to determine if there are any others involved.

Ramirez’s bond was set at $10,000.

Man Stabs 2 Children in Elevator; 1 Dies

Prince Joshua Avitto, 6, has died, and his 7-year-old friend Mikayla Capers is in critical condition, after being attacked in an elevator in New York City.

It was almost 6 p.m. on Sunday, and the children had gone down in the elevator of an apartment building in the East New York section of Brooklyn, N.Y., in search of some ice cream.

They never made it out.

Six-year-old Prince Joshua Avitto, affectionately known as “P.J.,” was found in the elevator, while 7-year-old Mikayla Capers was found just outside the elevator, the Daily News reports.

According to the news site, the culprit, who is still on the run, is believed to be a heavyset African-American male in his 20s. He reportedly stabbed the children in their torsos after telling them to “shut up” and then ran off.

Families and friends of the children are grappling with the senseless crime.

“He took my pride and joy away,” P.J.’s father, Nicholas Avitto, told the Daily News. Avitto expressed sorrow that he had not given his son a kiss that day. “I’m devastated. I’m beyond comprehension. I’m trying to understand how God works. My son is gone. That was the light of my life.”

P.J. would have turned 7 in just a couple of days.

Mikayla’s family also expressed their horror and disbelief that this could happen to the two small children. “This don’t make no sense. This is kids. You don’t do this to kids,” her mother, Sherina Capers, 21, told the Daily News. “They went to go get an icy and they never made it downstairs.”

The attack comes days after the Friday-night fatal stabbing of Long Island University freshman Tanaya Grant in the same neighborhood. According to the Daily News, authorities are not ruling out a possible connection between the two crimes.
