Trump to Conservatives – “Now You Finally Have a President, Finally”

One time Democrat, now self-proclaimed Republican Donald Trump, spoke at the yearly conservative gathering called CPAC and declared to the group that he is their president, “finally.”

President Trump declared himself among friends as he delivered a campaign-style speech Friday at an annual gathering of conservative activists and told the crowd that his movement represented the future of the Republican party.

“Now you finally have a president, finally,” Trump said, shortly after taking stage to Lee Greenwood’s “God Bless the U.S.A.”

He later promised that “the forgotten men and women of America will be forgotten no more.”

With his appearance at the Conservative Political Action Conference at National Harbor in Maryland, Trump became the first sitting president since Ronald Reagan to address the group during his first year in office.

Paul Ryan’s CPAC Speech Based on Fictional Events

It’s about a sad little boy who didn’t want a school lunch. He wanted his lunch in a brown paper bag just like all the other boys and girls who got that brown paper bag of love from their parents.

“The left is making a big mistake here. What they’re offering people is a full stomach and an empty soul. The American people want more than that. This reminds me of a story I heard from Eloise Anderson. She serves in the cabinet of my buddy, Governor Scott Walker. She once met a young boy from a very poor family, and every day at school, he would get a free lunch from a government program. He told Eloise he didn’t want a free lunch. He wanted his own lunch, one in a brown-paper bag just like the other kids. He wanted one, he said, because he knew a kid with a brown-paper bag had someone who cared for him. This is what the left does not understand.”

The problem? This never happened. Its from a 2011 book called The Invisible Thread. So, Ryan gets four Pinocchios.

In this case, apparently, the story was too good to check. We appreciate [Ryan] is regretful now. But a simple inquiry would have determined that the person telling the story actually is an advocate for the federal programs that Ryan now claims leaves people with “a full stomach and an empty soul.” So he also earns Four Pinocchios.

Palin Hits Rove At CPAC – Rove Hits Back On Fox

So much infighting going on in the Republican party right now, one can get whiplash trying to keep up. The latest battle was launched by failed Republican vice presidential candidate, Sarah Palin as she delivered her 2013 CPAC speech. On a roll with her criticizm of everything from President Obama to Bloomberg’s Big Gulp Soda ban, Palin got carried away and attacked some in her own party.

One of these attacks referenced, though not by name, Karl Rove and his failed attempts in the last election to get more Republicans elected. In her attack, Palin said;

“If these experts who keep losing elections and keep getting rehired and getting millions — if they feel that strong about who gets to run in this party, then they should buck-up or stay in the truck. Buck up or run. The Architect can head on back to the great Lone Star State and put their name on some ballot –- though for their sakes, I hope they give themselves a discount on their consulting services.”

Of course, Karl Rove was not going to take this laying down. Rove went on Fox today and pushed back in an interview

“I’m a volunteer and I don’t take a dime with my work from American Crossroads and pay my own travel expenses out of my own pocket and I thought she was encouraging volunteer grassroots activity and I’m a volunteer,” Rove said. “Second of all, look, I appreciate encouragement I ought to go home to Texas and run for office and, it would be news if I did to have her support. But I don’t think I’m a good candidate — a kind of balding, fat guy. And second, if I did run for office and win, I would serve out my term and I wouldn’t leave office midterm.”

A definite zing to the failed governorship of Sarah Palin, who left office half way through her first term.

Knowing Sarah Palin like I know Sarah Palin, expect her to quickly run to her Facebook page or even an appearance on Fox to respond to Karl’s attack. Expect it in 3,2,1…

All Three Branches Of Government Approved ObamaCare – Republicans Promise Repeal

So ObamaCare was passed by the United States Senate, it was approved by the House of Representatives, it was signed into law by the President of The United States, and the case was adjudicated by The United States Supreme Court. All three branches of government approved of the law.

ObamaCare is now being implemented throughout the land. But Republicans in Congress are still wagering their fruitless battle lying to their followers by promising to repeal it.

Earlier in the week, Paul Ryan wrote a budget calling for the repeal of ObamaCare. His budget will be expected to perform a mystifying leap of faith, because while it calls for the repeal of ObamaCare, Ryan’s budget can only be balanced using funds that ObamaCare is saving the nation.

And now Mitch McConnell, using his CPAC speech, McConnell is promising to repeal ObamaCare.

Md. — Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky is vowing to repeal President Barack Obama’s sweeping health care law.

McConnell spoke at the Conservative Political Action Conference next to a tower of 20,000 pages of health care rules and regulations. He calls it a “monument to liberalism” and says Republicans will not back down from the fight.

McConnell faces re-election next year. He says Republicans need to rebound from election losses last year and, quote, “punch back.” He says Democrats haven’t had a new idea, quote, “since the days of the Studebaker.”

He compares the possibility of Democrats nominating Hillary Rodham Clinton or Joe Biden for president in 2016 to, quote, a “rerun of ‘The Golden Girls.'”

After 34 tries at Repeal, Republican voters are still being fooled into thinking that the 35th time will be the charm. And the sad part of all this is, these unfortunate voters who apparently depend only on Fox for news, continue believing the empty rhetoric from their leaders.

Mitt Romney Is Still Around – Will Speak At CPAC

Some people just don’t know when to bow out and move on to something else. That is the feeling now, since two-time Presidential loser Mitt Romney is again signaling that politics is still in his blood. It seems the man is trying to keep his name politically relevant.

After he lost the presidential election, Romney decamped to his beachfront home in La Jolla, Calif. But friends say he has become somewhat restless, and he’s eager to contribute to the national debate. Sources say he’ll likely focus on economic and fiscal issues, and that his message will be optimistic.

“This is really an opportunity for Governor Romney to thank all his supporters and friends,” says a senior Romney aide.

Romney last spoke to a CPAC audience in October, when he made a surprise visit to CPAC Colorado, one of the American Conservative Union’s regional conferences. He has also been a headlining speaker at previous national CPAC gatherings, and he has won the event’s presidential straw poll on four occasions.

In lastweek’s CPAC gathering, Coulter addressed the crowed to discuss important issues concerning the American people and how to get things back on track. This apparently, was the best solution to the issues she came up with.

Romney’s “Severely Conservative” Statement Causing Conservatives Severe Pain

Mitt Romney‘s statement at CPAC that he is “severely conservative” is causing some other conservative leaders to scratch their heads. Richard A. Viguerie, the Chairman of ConservativeHQ.com, had this to say after hearing Romney’s proclamation.

“In my 50 years in conservative politics at the national level, I have never heard anyone other than Governor Romney describe himself as ‘severely’ conservative.

“Romney has shown, once again, that he can mouth the words conservatives use, but he has no gut-level emotional connection with the conservative movement and its ideas and policies.

“To paraphrase a story about Mark Twain, one day his wife decided to repeat some of his more colorful four-letter words to embarrass him into cleaning up his language. After absorbing the barrage, the author thought for a moment and said, ‘Honey, you’ve got the words right, but you just don’t have the tune.’

“After 50 years in the conservative movement, I can say with some authority: Mitt, you may have the words of conservatism right, but you just don’t have the tune.”

“I wasn’t quite sure what the word ‘severely’ meant,” Sarah Palin told CNN, and Rush Limbaugh found it odd that Romney felt the need to express just how conservative he was. “I have never heard anybody say, ‘I’m severely conservative,” Limbaugh said, “no, I’ve never heard anybody SAY it.”

I don’t agree with Rush Limbaugh on anything, but on this issue I see his point. If you have to go this far and use these type of words to describe your ideology, then something’s really wrong. Like the old saying goes, “action speaks louder than words.” So because of Mitt’s lack of Conservative actions as governor of Massachusetts, he’s now trying to fool some by using his words.

Sad part is, Conservatives are so easily fooled.

Once An Independent And Moderate, Mitt Romney Now Calls Himself A Conservative

Mitt Romney‘s back is up against the wall. His agility to win is being questioned by some of his most ardent supporters and conservatives are still looking for another candidate to carry their banner into the 2012 Presidential election.

They believed Donald Trump was going to be their poster-boy when he toyed with their emotions about running, but soon realized that Trump was just trying to boost viewership of his Apprentice television show. And they hauled their hopes and prayers on the back of Michelle Bachmann, but soon realized that she was too much of a right winged nut-job for their nut-job liking.

Rick Perry was their god and their savior, until he opened his mouth and tried to talk. He was packed up and shipped back to Texas just as fast as he was welcomed and urged into the nomination process. And then there was Herman Cain, who actually managed to carry the conservative mantle for about a month, but after everyone and their mother began accusing him of sexual misconduct, Cain too was shipped back to the pizza joint he crawled out of.

Newt Gingrich will be Newt Gingrich. Conservatives gave him a win in South Carolina then watched as Gingrich self-destruct. Unable to contain the euphoria of his win, Newt crowned himself the man, tooting his own horn, then losing miserably in Florida.

Throughout all this Mitt Romney fumbled, flipped and flopped his way through the debates. He even agreed in one debate that Newt Gingrich was more of a conservative than he was.

Then there was this little nugget when Romney admitted to being an independent.

I was an Independent through Reagan/Bush. I’m not trying to return to Reagan/Bush.

Throughout the years, Mitt Romney’s been an Independent, accused of being a moderate, he’s been “a businessman and not a politician,” and he’s even been accused of being a liberal because of his views of many social issues. But at no time in his business or political life has anyone ever accused Mr Romney of being a Conservative… until now. With the last three caucus and primary wins by the self-proclaimed Conservative Rick Santorum, Mitt Romney is now, suddenly, “severely conservative.”

“I fought against long odds in a deep blue state, but I was a severely conservative Republican governor,” Romney said, trying to convince the group at this week’s CPAC meeting.

“I did things conservatism is designed for – I started new businesses and turned around broken ones. And I am not ashamed to say that I was very successful at it. I know conservatism because I have lived conservatism.”

This guy really wants to be president, but pandering to a particular group telling them what you think they want to hear is not the pathway to the White House. Mitt Romney is still living in the old days where candidates spoke to certain groups without fear of their words going viral. He must somehow learn to pattern a message for the country, instead of the group he is talking to at that moment.

But sticking to one message that would appeal to the nation would require some level of honesty, and honesty is something flip floppers lack.
