Palin, Hannity and Rush Sweeping The Bottom of the Barrel

Maybe Americans are finally waking up to the antics of these Three Stooges.

Palin’s supporters are not coughing up the bucks to her PAC. The queen of Mooseburger, Alaska, has lost her charm, seeming not a bad seed so much as an ignorant and inarticulate one.

Hannity has embarrassed himself by practically drooling over Palin, perhaps because he enjoyed the sound of gray matter bouncing around in her cranium, where there is so much room. But perhaps the most remarkable proof of the pretentious lightweight that he is was the way he went down before Robert Gibbs in their famous 2008 encounter, falling “like sheep” as the Native Americans said about Custer’s troops in the Great Sioux War.

But it is Limbaugh (whose name is always mispronounced as “Lim-bog” by competitor the Rev. Al Sharpton) who may be sinking most swiftly into a bog of disfavor after his bad-boy act helped Mitt Romney and the GOP lose the votes of Republican women to Obama. They were repulsed by his attacks on a 32-year-old woman studying at Georgetown named Sandra Flute, who got on a panel to talk about women’s health issues. Her appearance was not appropriate, said the man willing to imitate a bog filled with mud.

Far from boldly but with plenty of venom, Rush got rolling and called Fluke a slut and a prostitute who wanted to be paid for having sex, since she wanted insurance to cover her birth control. In what analysts call projection, Rush proclaimed that if taxpayers should pay for that then she in turn should put her erotic life on YouTube, to that he and pals could see what they were underwriting.

This cannot and should not be forgotten.

Americans too often appropriate New Testament forgiveness in order to avoid hard facts or repulsive or opportunistic performance personalities.

I always oppose Limbaugh and his ilk because they are ready and willing to say whatever will work to exploit fear and insecurity for profit. If we dismiss their belligerence as “fun,” we help them dismiss those who do not find them “funny” as too uptight.

Bigots always tend to present themselves as good boys just trying to get past the boring with some humor. They want to keep themselves interested, and they do things that are pretty desperate to escape being bored.

Stupidity is not the problem at all. The novelist Milan Kundera points out that it was once thought that stupidity could be easily cured with knowledge; that was wrong. The addiction to influential power based in untruths modernizes itself with everything else. Propaganda has become a popular melodrama, especially when driven by self-pity.

People love to feel victimized, threatened and on the verge of being destroyed.

Limbaugh, Palin and Hannity will slowly go down and away, though they will return in a smaller venue because the public always loves bad movies

Is It The End Of The Road For The Rush Limbaugh Hate Machine?

If this is the case, it’s way past due. This blowhard should have been dumped a long time ago. But it is reassuring to see advertisers doing the right thing and pulling their ads from his show.

As we reported earlier this morning, Rush Limbaugh is allegedly in the midst of a battle with Cumulus Media, the distributor of his radio show. The company’s CEO has blamed ad revenue losses on the conservative talkers’ controversial 2012 “slut” comments about Georgetown student Sandra Fluke.

Mediaite’s own sources confirm that the ad troubles in connection with Limbaugh’s show are, indeed, severe. In fact, one source within the radio advertising world with direct knowledge of the ad buys on Limbaugh’s show confirms the extent of the problem: “The vast majority of national advertisers now refuse to air their ads during Rush Limbaugh’s show,” our source tells us.

Limbaugh is reportedly considering a departure from Cumulus (or vice versa) after Cumulus CEO Lew Dickey‘s public comments that the Fluke incident is “still causing problems” with potential ad buyers. Limbaugh currently hosts the number-one most-listened-to radio show in the United States, and his departure would present a huge shake-up for the radio business.

But then again, Limbaugh is making millions for the lies he is telling. Lying is what he knows. Chances are, if he part ways with Cumulus, he will most likely find another media to continue misguiding his followers.

Limbaugh Used Newtown’s Children Massacre To Make Dumb Political Joke

Leave it up to “people” like Rush Limbaugh to use the massacre of twenty-seven people including twenty children and make a dumb political joke out of it. But then again we are talking about Rush Limbaugh, and expecting any level of decency from this man is like selling all your worldly possessions to prepare for the apocalypse on December 21st, only to wake up broke on December 22nd.

A huge disappointment.

A female caller asked if Limbaugh knows Lanza’s political orientation. Limbaugh noted that, in the past, shootings have always been politicized, citing ABC reporter Brian Ross‘s false accusation that Aurora, Co., shooter James Holmes was a Tea Party member.

The caller then stated her belief that 2011 Arizona gunman Jared Loughner was originally considered a “Republican,” but was later found to be “quite liberal.”

“They all are liberal,” Limbaugh said, eliciting a hesitant laugh from the caller.

“If they’re mentally disturbed,” he added.

“Oh, that’s not fair,” the caller interjected.

“You’re right. That was — I’m sorry. You’re terribly right,” Limbaugh replied, seemingly taking the remark back, before adding: “That’s one of those things you just can’t tell the truth about. You’re right. I should not have said it. I take that back.”

Rush Limbaugh – “Why Don’t The Homeless Live With Their Families? That Would Make Them Un-Homeless”

California is trying to become the 37th state to participate in a program that gives low-cost cell phones to low-income families and the homeless. The program called The LifeLine Cell Phone program is provided by mobile carrier Assurance Wireless in 36 other states. The purpose of the program is to keep low-income families and the homeless involved with agencies and services that can help their situation.

“This is great – it is transformative for homeless and low-income people,” said Bevan Dufty, San Francisco’s head of homeless initiatives. “I expect San Francisco to be in the forefront and a model city for this program. Fundamentally, to be in the mainstream of our society you have to have a phone,” he said. “And really, for the homeless population, you need a cell phone because they don’t have a home to hard-wire one into. We really need this plan.”

The low cost cell phones are not free. Participants would pay $20.00 for the phone and the initial set up and will receive 250 free minutes per month. They will pay $.10 per minute for time used over 250 minutes. Californians earning less than $14,702 per year are eligible to take part in the program.

But to hear Rush Limbaugh today, helping these poor and homeless people with this service is the wrong move for California. “Why don’t the homeless live with their families?” Rush asked. “That would make them un-homeless,” the Republican mouthpiece said, before he began laughing.

Republicans like Limbaugh credit the Obama administration for the program. They even call the phones “Obama Phones” disregarding the fact that the program began under the Reagan administration in 1985, then started offering cell phones in 2005 under the George W. Bush Administration.

EzKool Hate-Mail – “In Your Face With the Truth” banner.

We get a lot of hate-mail here at EzKool. Sometimes we reply to the author through email, but the majority of times, we ignore the hate and keep on moving. But the absurdity of this email prompted us to post it here. It’s amazing that there are people like this out there.

Name:

Richard Bridwell

Subject:

Dishonest banner

Email

…………….@hotmail.com

Could you please remove the word “truth” from your banner? All I can see from your pages are hypocritical distortions of actual ‘truth’. For instance, in reporting the Limbaugh-Fluke controversy, you failed (an oversight, I’m sure) to note that Limbaugh was making a satirical point ridiculing Fluke’s TESTIMONY regarding students in law school needing $3,000 for contraception (despite the availability of inexpensive…as low as $9 per month…contraception within a couple of blocks of Georgetown University).

Limbaugh used her ‘testimony’ at face value to show the absurdity of her ‘argument’, saying what 99% of people would agree with…that either Fluke is a liar, an useful (but uninformed) idiot, or a slut…a word commonly used to describe a promiscuous woman.

When people wanting to make political hay objected to his satire, he made it even more obvious by saying that anyone wanting someone else to pay for her to have sex would qualify as a “prostitute’ (again, a point about which few would argue even though it was obviously a satirical statement). When that didn’t work, he went for even greater absurdity, demanding that Fluke post videos so the taxpayers could see if they were getting value for the spending of their revenue.

Even yesterday, Hilary Clinton dishonestly (and extremely hypocritically considering her approval of her friend and adviser James Carville’s savage mocking of the young women sexually harassed by her husband) continued this farce. I suppose that today’s liberals would vilify Jonathan Swift for his satirical “A Modest Proposal”…although liberals rarely read & think for themselves, evidently. I won’t be clicking on your site again and adding to your revenue since you don’t offer honest discourse. ‘Tis a shame…another wasted opportunity by those who know better.

Just goes to show you that no matter how wrong Rush Limbaugh is, wrong even to the point of him issuing an “apology,” there are those who will go out of their way to defend his sexiest, racist rants.

Rush Limbaugh has Standards?

Can you believe it? There is something Rush Limbaugh wouldn’t do although its a perfect match for the right winged hate monger. Apparently, although he needs sponsors, Rush is not accepting ads from the Westboro Baptiste Church.

A spokeswoman for the radio network that carries conservative commentator Rush Limbaugh’s radio program has stated that they will reject any ads submitted by Westboro Baptist Church.

“Premiere Networks is not considering an offer of sponsorship from Westboro Baptist Church,” said Rachel Nelson, public relations director for Premiere Networks, which carries Limbaugh’s three hour program, in a statement given to the press.

Hatewatch, a blog overseen by the Southern Poverty Law Center, has been tracking the story since last week when Westboro first offered an ad for Limbaugh’s radio program.

Company Sues To Keep Name Off Rush Limbaugh’s Show

The Associated Press reports: A Kentucky-based health care company has sued to protect its name after being involuntarily drawn into the backlash over Rush Limbaugh’s derisive comments about a Georgetown law student.

Louisville-based Humana, the parent company of Concentra Health Services, filed on Thursday for a preliminary injunction to stop the Preval Group of Portland, Maine from using the name Concentra to market memory aid pills.

Humana said in court filings it received angry phone calls, emails and web postings after an ad for Concentra pills aired on Limbaugh’s show Monday. Concentra Health and the Preval Group are not related.

Limbaugh has been criticized for attacking student Sandra Fluke over contraception. He apologized but has lost some advertisers in the backlash.

98 Advertisers Decides to End their Support of Right-Winged Hate Radio

Thanks to the most recent hate episode exhibited by Rush Limbaugh against Sandra Fluke, sponsors and advertisers to right winged talk radio are starting to find their moral grounds and are pulling their ads not only from Limbaugh’s program, but from other shows considered hateful, like Glenn Beck and Sean Hannity of Fox News.

Think Progress reports on an article by Radio-Info, that found 98 advertisers have decided to end their support of right winged hate.

When it comes to advertisers avoiding controversial shows, it’s not just Rush From today’s TRI Newsletter: Premiere Networks is circulating a list of 98 advertisers who want to avoid “environments likely to stir negative sentiments.” The list includes carmakers (Ford, GM, Toyota), insurance companies (Allstate, Geico, Prudential, State Farm) and restaurants (McDonald’s, Subway). As you’ll see in the note below, those “environments” go beyond the Rush Limbaugh show

“To all Traffic Managers: The information below applies to your Premiere Radio Networks commercial inventory...They’ve specifically asked that you schedule their commercials in dayparts or programs free of content that you know are deemed to be offensive or controversial (for example, Mark Levin, Rush Limbaugh, Tom Leykis, Michael Savage, Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity).’

Rush Limbaugh Supported Joseph Kony over President Obama

Five months ago, Rush Limbaugh took go his radio program and continued his usual lies and misinformation about president Obama. On this particular occasion, Limbaugh blasted the president for sending 100 US Troops to Africa to search for Joseph Kony – the leader of a ruthless guerilla movement in Uganda, responsible for the kidnap and murder of hundreds of thousands of Africans.

The name of the group – Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA) – and the fact that Obama was against them was enough for Limbaugh to make his decision on where he stood, and he chose Joseph Kony.

“Lord’s Resistance Army are Christians. They are fighting the Muslims in Sudan. And Obama has sent troops, United States troops to remove them from the battlefield, which means kill them,” Limbaugh said last Oct. 14, according to a show transcript.

Limbaugh then went on to read from what he said were the group’s self-described objectives, which included “to remove dictatorship and stop the oppression of our people.”

“Those are the objectives of the group that we are fighting,” said Limbaugh, implying that the US had taken the wrong side in the battle.

What Limbaugh did not say was that the list of LRA objectives appeared to have come straight off Wikipedia, according to a contemporaneous New York Times account. Nor did Limbaugh mention that for years the group had been widely accused of torture, murder, looting, and wanton destruction.

Perhaps the other major reason Limbaugh made this faux pas was that he was just talking too fast about stuff of which he knew little. Today over 50 million people have seen the Invisible Children video, which documents such LRA abuses as its kidnapping of children for use as soldiers. But Limbaugh’s discussion of the group occurred long before it became so well known.

In fact, as his broadcast progressed last October, Limbaugh obviously began receiving reports from listeners of the LRA’s real nature.

Near the end of the show he said, “Is that right? The Lord’s Resistance Army is being accused of really bad stuff? … Well, we just found out about this today. We’re gonna do, of course, our due diligence research on it. But nevertheless we got a hundred troops being sent over there to fight these guys – and they claim to be Christians.”

Pastor Pat Robinson – Sandra Fluke Needs $3000 for Contraception?

Tele-Evangelist Pat Robinson could not allow the Sandra Fluke / Rush Limbaugh controversy to go unnoticed on his television show. The minister and his special guest blessed us with some right winged knowledge,  and guess whose side they took… Rush Limbaugh’s. No surprises here.

Although Mr Robinson admitted that “Rush Limbaugh got a little bit over the top on that thing,” Robinson went down the very same path Rush took. He didn’t call Ms Fluke a “slut,” but the misleading way he asked if Sandra Fluke needed $3000 for contraception implied the same thing – like Rush would say, someone who is “having too much sex” for money.

Both Rush Limbaugh and Pat Robinson are intentionally misleading their audience. Ms Fluke did not say she needed $3000 because she’s having too much sex, she spoke on the importance of contraception to women’s health as it relates to controlling ovarian cysts and other diseases, and the cost to a woman if paid out-of-pocket.

We expected Limbaugh to mislead and misinform, but why would a self-proclaimed man of God dinghies same?

This is The Reason why Mitt Romney Cannot Criticize Rush Limbaugh

According to this Newsweek report, the reason is a twisted tale of corruption, involving campaign donations and spineless politicians – namely Mitt Romney. In other words, its Mitt Romney’s old company Bain Capital, doing what it does best.

The report states that “fourteen directors of Clear Channel, the company that hosts the Rush Limbaugh show, have contributed $726,400 to Mitt Romney since 1994, most of it in the current presidential campaign. Romney has come under attack for refusing to criticize Limbaugh’s comments about Georgetown University law student Sandra Fluke, other than to say that calling her a “slut” and a “prostitute” was not “the language I would have used.”

“Romney’s former company, Bain Capital, acquired Clear Channel in 2008 with another Boston-based investment firm, Thomas H. Lee Partners (THL), so five of the entertainment company’s directors that have given to Romney come from Bain, while three are affiliated with the Lee firm. Three other directors are members of the Mays family that founded the company and continued to run it until 2011, when CEO Mark Mays stepped down. The remaining three donor directors come from other investment firms.

“The $26 billion merger, which was launched simultaneously with Romney’s first presidential candidacy in late 2006 and placed Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, and much of the talk show right under Bain/Lee control, also involved Romney’s longtime law firm, Ropes & Gray, whose managing partner is the trustee of the family’s blind trust. David C. Chapin, a lead Ropes lawyer on the merger, has also given $12,700 to Romney, and five other partners who worked on it added another $10,400.”
