Happy 4th of July – Dems Show How Trump Hates America – Video

How exactly can you “Make America Great Again” when you build your products in other countries?

“Trump has a unique way of showing his love for America,” the ad says.

The ad shows a recent campaign speech during which Trump calls for Americans to “have more pride buying made in the USA,” and then pivots to news clips of the presumptive Republican presidential nominee defending his decision to manufacture products overseas.

The DNC railed against Trump’s “made-anywhere-BUT-the-USA business practices.”

“A lie from Donald Trump? Shocking,” the ad says.

“Trump’s dangerous and divisive campaign is as un-American as the products he manufactures anywhere but the USA,” added DNC spokesperson Luis Miranda. “His deceptive campaign against the very business practices he uses is exactly why the American people should reject him in November, and a reminder he lacks the temperament to serve in our nation’s highest office.”

Another Romney Lie Targets Obama’s “You Can’t Change Washington From Inside” Comment

By now, Americans are so used to the dishonesty of Mitt Romney‘s campaign ads that the Republican presidential candidate is barely even trying to disguise it anymore. On Monday morning, the Romney campaign released an ad (sure to become a weeks-long series) targeting younger voters, based on President Obama‘s recent declaration that “You can’t change Washington from the inside.”

The ad is so clumsy in its execution and self-evident in its dishonesty, though, that even the fifth-grader who wrote it would immediately know that the Romney campaign is twisting the quote out of context.

In case you missed it, here’s what the President actually said at that Univision forum (the day after Mitt Romney’s rigged Univision forum):

You can’t change Washington from the inside. You can only change it from the outside. That’s how I got elected and how the big accomplishments like health care got done – was because we mobilized the American people to speak out. That’s how we were able to cut taxes for middle class families. So, something I’d really like to concentrate on in my second term is being in a much more constant conversation with the American people, so that they can put pressure on Congress to move some of these issues forward.

So the President says that the American people must be involved in the process before any real change can come to Washington, and he makes that statement based on his own experiences. But Mitt Romney, being so comfortable with lying to and misleading the American people, decides to do it again.

Here’s the ad, where Romney takes one sentence of the president’s remarks, and makes a totally baseless claim.

President Obama’s Ad Denouncing Romney’s Welfare Lie

By now you’ve all heard of yet another massive lie from the Mitt Romney, accusing President Obama of getting rid of the “work” element for welfare recipients, and “sending them a check” just for being on the program.

Of course, this is just another of Romney’s growing list of blatant lies against the President and this time, President Obama is answering back.

Here’s the ad.

TDAmeritrade and Chicago Cubs Owner Decide Against Jeremiah Wright Ads

Joe Ricketts, the founder of TDAmeriTrade and owner of the Chicago Cubs decided to scrap his plans to run a $10 million ad campaign against President Obama using the Republican created political boogeyman name Rev. Jeremiah Wright. Mr. Ricketts plan would have followed the same unsuccessful playbook Republicans used against Mr. Obama in the 2008 presidential campaign, where they tried to scare Americans into thinking that because the President went to Jeremiah Wright’s church, Mr. Obama had to be a crazy America-hating psycho.

Both Republicans and Democrats considered Mr. Ricketts proposed ad campaign a dumb move. “Right now, the story the voters are moved by, and tuned in to, is the economy,” said Republican Rick Wilson, who helped create some of John McCain’s ads in 2008. That statement was echoed by Republican House Speaker John Boehner who said, “I don’t know what these other people do or why they do it. All I know is the American people vote with their wallets.” Even Mitt Romney found the courage to make a statement, saying that he “repudiate that effort. I think it’s the wrong course for a PAC or a campaign.”

John McCain stayed away from the Jeremiah Wright issue in 2008 and when news of Mr. Ricketts plans came to light, McCain also issued a statement saying he is proud of the decision he made to not air ads featuring Jeremiah Wright, and if he had to do it all over again, nothing would change.

Even Joe Ricketts’ own daughter disagreed with her father. She told the Chicago Tribune exactly what she thought President Obama. “My view is that the president is doing a wonderful job,” she said. “He’s a great leader.”

With all the backlash from his own party, Mr. Ricketts came to the conclusion that reviving a dead issue may not be his best option.

Rush Limbaugh has Standards?

Can you believe it? There is something Rush Limbaugh wouldn’t do although its a perfect match for the right winged hate monger. Apparently, although he needs sponsors, Rush is not accepting ads from the Westboro Baptiste Church.

A spokeswoman for the radio network that carries conservative commentator Rush Limbaugh’s radio program has stated that they will reject any ads submitted by Westboro Baptist Church.

“Premiere Networks is not considering an offer of sponsorship from Westboro Baptist Church,” said Rachel Nelson, public relations director for Premiere Networks, which carries Limbaugh’s three hour program, in a statement given to the press.

Hatewatch, a blog overseen by the Southern Poverty Law Center, has been tracking the story since last week when Westboro first offered an ad for Limbaugh’s radio program.
