Bernie Sanders, one of the Democratic candidate for president, answered the ultimate question today on MSNBC’s Morning Joe. Asked whether he will vote for Clinton in November, Saunders responded “Yes.”

The Vermont senator, who has not yet formally ended his 2016 campaign, said that stopping Donald Trump from becoming president must be an overarching goal.

“I think the issue right here is I’m gonna do everything I can to defeat Donald Trump,” he said.

But Sanders also dismissed the idea that he should withdraw from the Democratic race now that Clinton has secured the nomination.

“Why would I want to do that when I want to fight to make sure that we have the best platform that we possibly can, that we win the most delegates that we can?” he said.

And in a later interview on CBS, Sanders declined to formally endorse Clinton, although he indicated that he “hopes” to before the convention.

“I haven’t heard her say the things that need to be said,” he said.

Woman “Sunbathes” By Hanging Her Naked Butt Outside Her Window – PIC

An amazing pic of a woman in Novosibirsk Russia, although some of her neighbors find her actions offensive, that they started a petition to have the woman stopped, but that petition ultimately failed.

Everyday, weather permitting, the woman can be seen sunbathing from her second floor window by hanging her legs and butt outside her window. Her hours of operation are usually between 10am and 1pm and according to some, her legs and butt are not the only body parts the woman hangs out the window.

Just Announced – Michele Bachmamn Tops Trump’s Evangelical Advisory Board

It was expected. Well within the realm of possibilities for this particular candidate and this particular campaign to have Michele Bachmann as an evangelical advisor. Yes, Michele Bachmann. I expect nothing less… I don’t think there’s anything or anyone less…

Per NBC News’ Ali Vitali, Trump unveiled the members of this board on Tuesday and former Republican Congresswoman Michele Bachmann was right at the top of the list:

Trump Rolls Out Website Highlighting Hillary Clinton’s “Lies” – Site is Blank

Donald Trump’s campaign sent out a release informing the media of a new website aimed at highlighting all of Hillary Clinton’s lies. I wanted to know, so I visited the site. There’s nothing there.

The website, lyingcrookedhillary.com, will “showcase some of Clinton’s most disastrous lies to the American people,” according to a release from the Trump campaign.

The website will be rolled out in the coming days over social media and emails to the candidate’s supporters.
“As we proceed forward with the general election, it is more important than ever for America to realize how dishonest Crooked Hillary really is,” the Trump campaign said in a news release.

“We can’t trust her now and we can’t allow her to take her dishonesty to the White House.”

Jewish News Organization Institutes 24hr Ban on All Trump Coverage

If only the main stream media was able grow a pair and stopped fawning like teenage girls over Donald Trump, then maybe the Republican electorate would have a real choice in this election instead of being led by an egotistical nut with small hands.

A Jewish news organization announced Monday it will implement a 24-hour ban on publishing any content regarding presumptive GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump.

“The attack on journalists, and journalism, that we are witnessing today is of a more significant and far more dangerous order of magnitude than anything I’ve seen over decades in this business,” The Forward’s editor-in-chief, Jane Eisner, wrote in a piece published Monday.

While Eisner wrote that it is usually better for journalists to “grow a thick skin” and ignore attacks, she said Trump demanded a bolder response.

Eisner said many journalists are experiencing anti-Semitism coming from the “alt-right,” which she defines as “shadowy white supremacists who mainly hide behind the anonymity of Twitter to traffic in horrible Holocaust imagery and directly threaten Jews.”

“Many of these threats draw on connections with Trump’s presidential campaign, using Trump’s image and targeting his critics, including several of our regular writers,” the piece said.

“Even if you don’t believe that the presumed Republican standard bearer has stoked this cyber-hate (which is a generous assumption), you have to admit that he appears to have done nothing to minimize or condemn it.”

In response, the news organization decided to implement a “Trumpatorium,” in which it will refrain from publishing anything that mentions Trump’s name or his campaign for 24 hours beginning 5 a.m. on Tuesday.

The news organization is taking this “sym

Senate Votes Against First Gun Control Measure

They still can’t figure out a way to do their job, even after 49 people were gunned down in Orlando in what is now the biggest mass shooting incident on America’s soil.

The Senate has rejected the first of four gun control measures it is set to consider on Monday, just over a week after 49 people were killed in the worst mass shooting in U.S. history.

The Senate voted 53-47 on a measure backed by Sen. Charles Grassley (R-Iowa) that would reauthorize funding for the National Criminal Instant Background Check System (NICS) and provide incentives for states to give mental health records to the federal system.

Sixty votes were needed to advance the bill under the Senate’s procedural rules.

The Senate will now vote on a Democratic bill that would require a background check for most gun sales or transfers. It is also expected to fail.
Most Republicans backed the Grassley measure, while most Democrats opposed it.

Two more votes are also expected on legislation aimed at preventing suspected terrorists from being able to buy guns. Both of those measures will also require 60 votes to advance, and are both expected to fail.

All of the proposals are being offered as amendments to the Commerce, Justice and Science appropriations bill.

You people are gonna get it, and I’m gonna ignite it if they try to do anything stupid.” Later in the call with the crisis negotiator, the shooter stated that he had a vest, and further described it as the kind they “used in France.” The shooter later stated, “In the next few days, you’re going to see more of this type of action going on.” The shooter hung up and multiple attempts to get in touch with him were unsuccessful.

Man At Rally Grabbed Cop’s Gun to Kill Donald Trump

We are surrounded by idiots. One one side of the political spectrum, they are best known for supporting Donald Trump and his ignorant B.S and idiotic proposals, but on the other side there are those wanting to kill the man because of his ignorant B.S and his idiotic proposals.

A man arrested at a Donald Trump rally in Las Vegas told authorities he tried to grab an officer’s gun so he could kill the billionaire Republican presidential candidate.

Anti-Trump protester Michael Steven Sandford even went to a gun range on Friday so he could learn how to shoot.

He was arrested at the Treasure Island Hotel and Casino on Saturday after saying he wanted to get an autograph from a metro police officer – but instead going for his gun.

A complaint filed Monday in U.S. District Court in Nevada charges Sandford with an act of violence on restricted grounds.

It cites a report by Special Agent Swierkowski, whose first name was not included, saying Sandford told officers he drove from California to kill Trump and went to a Las Vegas gun range the day before to learn to shoot.

Sandford later went to a Trump rally at Treasure Island and approached a Las Vegas police officer to say he wanted an autograph from Trump.

The report says Sandford was arrested after grabbing the handle of an officer’s gun in an attempt to remove it.

NRA Slams Trump’s Response to Orlando Shooting – It “Defies Commonsense”

After patting himself on the back following the Orlando massacre, Donald Trump went on to suggest the usual Republican response when there’s a mass shooting in America – that more club-goers needed more guns. Asked about that statement on Sunday, Chris Cox, the executive director of the National Rifle Association’s Institute for Legislative Action, said Trump’s answer “defies commonsense.”

“We have a serious problem in this country, a catastrophic situation,” Cox said. “It has nothing to do with firearms. It has nothing to do with the Second Amendment or even gun control and it has everything to do with radical Islamic terrorists.”

Cox was asked about presumptive GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump‘s comments that the outcome in Orlando would have been better had more people in the club been armed.

Cox said the Pulse nightclub’s gun-free-zone policy didn’t prevent Omar Mateen from “mowing down innocent people.”

Cox, however, said he does not want people drinking a nightclub armed to the teeth.

“What Donald Trump has said is what the American people know is commonsense, that if somebody had been there to stop this faster, fewer people would have died. That’s not controversial, that’s commonsense,” he said.

“No one thinks that people should go into a nightclub drinking and carrying firearms. That defies commonsense. It also defies the law. It’s not what we’re talking about here,” he added.

Domestic Policies Donald Trump gun control Gun Control News Politics

One Week Later

It’s been a week since the attack in Orlando and much of what’s happened is predictable. Both political parties have rolled out their positions on gun control, and both are very familiar. Democrats want new background checks and to ban sales of guns to anyone on the no-fly or terrorist watch lists. Republicans counter by saying that more people should be carrying guns and that denying anyone their second amendment rights is abhorrent. Further, the man responsible for the massacre wasn’t on any list when he purchased his guns, so changes in the law wouldn’t have stopped his actions.

It’s a tiresome debate, and the more it drags on, the more we will see horrible scenes like the one in Orlando. Remember that there was an armed guard at the door to the Pulse nightclub, and he couldn’t stop Omar Mateen from entering the club. The NRA fantasy is that a nightclub full of armed patrons would have killed Mateen before he could have done damage, but the reality is that it’s likely that far more than 49 people would have died if there was a shootout because most people just aren’t very good shots. I could imagine bullets being sprayed all over the club and more innocent club-goers losing their lives. More guns is not the answer. It’s a punchline.

The most sensible reform would be to know who has guns in this country. Background checks, licenses, and ones that need to be renewed like driver’s licenses, and mandatory safety classes should be the law of the land. More than that, the culture needs to change. This was an attack on gays, plain and simple. It was a terror attack too, but only insofar as Omar Mateen’s personal and religious views were hostile to the LGBTQ community. Despite the positive changes in marriage laws and more widespread acceptance of gay rights, we clearly have more work to do.

As for politics, this past week was a terrible one for Donald Trump, as he acted as though this was a personal referendum on whether he was right that we’d have a terrorist attack on American soil. He also repeated his call to bar all Muslims from coming or returning to this country until…well, he hasn’t said. Polls show his appeal to women, Muslims, Hispanics and African-Americans dropping like a stone. Hillary has rightly been supportive and empathetic, and she’s smart enough to get out of the way when her opponent is imploding.

It’s been a sad week, and one full of national and personal reflection. Can we please not do this anymore?

Republican Mayor Leaves Republican Party Thanks to Donald Trump

“A whole lot of things make me uncomfortable about partisan politics,” Charleston Mayor Danny Jones said. Jones, a registered Republican since 1971, has stuck with the party in bad times and in bad times – and there have been a lot of bad times. But after Donald Trump became the party’s nominee for president, and with the state of politics in Charleston West Virginia, Mayor Danny Jones decided he’s had enough!

“I do not want to be identified with the political partisanship that is shaping so much of the debates nationally and in West Virginia,” Jones said. “I plan to complete my current term, and have no plans to run for any office ever again. I am not trying to pick a fight with anyone and, in fact, I am proud about how we’ve made so much progress in Charleston, where partisan politics has been non-existent in the 13-plus years I’ve been mayor.”

Jones announced Friday that he has switched his party registration to “unaffiliated.”

He pointed to multiple factors, specifically the social conservative bent of the West Virginia House of Delegates and the rise of Donald Trump as the party’s presidential nominee.

“For the first time in my life, I cannot support the Republican nominee for president,” Jones said, although he described himself as “not a Trump hater.”
