Guess Who’s Coming To Dinner – Occupy Wall Street Going To Millionaires Homes

New York’s richest are about to get a visitor or two – or maybe 800, give or take a few. On Tuesday, the leaders of the one month “Occupy” movement will take their message on the road and visit the residences of some of the richest tycoons in New York, including Fox’s Rupert Murdoch and David Koch, one of two Koch brothers who, through their donations, have effectively bought the Republican party.

This report from the Daily News;

The Occupy Wall Street protesters are planning to get in the face of some of New York’s richest tycoons on Tuesday.

A “Millionaires March” will visit the homes – or, more realistically, the gleaming marble lobbies – of five of the city’s wealthiest residents.

On the target list: NewsCorp CEO Rupert Murdoch, JP Morgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon, conservative billionaire David Koch, financier Howard Milstein and hedge fund mogul John Paulson.

Between 400 and 800 marchers plan to go to their homes to present them with oversize checks to dramatize how much less they will pay when New York State’s 2% tax on millionaires expires at the end of the year.

“Ninety nine percent of the residents of New York are going to suffer from this tax giveaway so the 1% who already live in absolute luxury can put more money in their pockets,” said Doug Forand, one of the march organizers.

“This is fiscally, economically and morally wrong.”

Russell Simmons And Kanye West Join Occupy Wall Street Protesters

Two multi-million dollar moguls made their way to Wall Street today, not to check on any stocks or investments, but to join in solidarity with the protest movement known as Occupy Wall Street. Russell Simmons and Kanye West walked with middle class Americans also known as the bottom 99%.

In an interview with GlobalGrind. Russell Simmons said;

“It was amazing to see how people loved seeing Kanye West at Occupy Wall Street. His music and his art has always been about the voice and the power of the people. Kanye just wanted to come down and experience the growing movement that has opened the eyes of many around this country and around the world of the struggles of poor people. The energy at Liberty Plaza was electrifying and the momentum to get the money out of politics is growing quickly.”

Eric Cantor Is A Major Hypocrite – The Teaparty vs The Occupiers

This is beginning to become redundant – pointing out the many ways Republicans have proven that they are the party of hypocrites. I can dedicate the entire site to this purpose, and still be able to write multiple blogs a day showing different examples of the party’s deception.

“What is infuriating to me is we have elected leaders that are inflaming the sense that we are to be pitting Americans against Americans. Right now is the time for all of us to c0me together.”

Nancy Pelosi was correct to point out that Cantor wasn’t asking for the country to “come together” when the Teaparty was spitting on members of Congress during their protests, saying that instead of denouncing those in the Teaparty that resorted to such barbaric actions, Republicans held up signs encouraging them to continue.

MSNBC today asked about this apparent double standard, and was able to compare Cantor’s response to the Occupiers and the Teaparty when they demonstrated. The result was what we all expected… Cantor is a major hypocrite!

Best Sign Yet From The Occupy Movement

Best sign yet. As the “Occupy” movement spread across the nation, the bottom 99% are finding some very impressive ways to describe their frustrations. If awards were given out for ‘Best Sign In A Protest Movement’, this one should have no problem winning.

Occupy Wall Street – The Other Side Of The Story – Video

Occupy Wall Street is not all about police brutality. There is another part of the movement you probably haven’t seen.

Watch this amazing short film below by Alex Mallis, as he shows the inner workings of the bottom 99% and their quest to bring economic fairness back a politically broken nation.

Bankers Bought The New York Police Department

Why is the New York Police Department beating up on the peaceful protesters at Occupy Wall Street. Well we’re sure there are a number of reasons, but when we came across this little piece of news, we had to do a double take and wonder if this may have had something to do with it.

It may be a simple coincidence, or it may be the perfect embodiment of exactly why thousands of protesters across the US are hitting the streets en masse under the banner of Occupy Wall Street (OWS). Earlier this year, financial giant JPMorgan Chase & Co. donated $4.6 million to the New York Police Department (NYPD) to “strengthen security in the Big Apple” and several months later, the NYPD conveniently arrests over 700 individuals, all at one time, involved in peaceful OWS protests.

JPMorgan Chase, of course, is already the epitome of what OWS protesters are speaking out against — the corporation was one of the first to receive taxpayer-funded federal bailout money to the tune of at least $12 billion from the Federal Reserve back in 2008. And meanwhile, millions of Americans are still unemployed or underemployed as the US economy continues its rapid descent into oblivion.

There is definitely something real fishy going on, when peaceful Americans, doing what this country was built on are gathered up, maced and locked up. Four million, six hundred thousand dollars sure buys a lot of fish!

President Obama On The Occupy Wall Street Movement – Video

The American people are frustrated:

“I think it expresses the frustrations the American people feel, that we had the biggest financial crisis since the Great Depression, huge collateral damage all throughout the country … and yet you’re still seeing some of the same folks who acted irresponsibly trying to fight efforts to crack down on the abusive practices that got us into this in the first place.”

You can say that again…!

The group known as Anonymous has pledged their support for the protesters at “Occupy Wall Street,” and to show their solidarity, the hacking group has put out a video detailing their next target – The Wall Street Stock Exchange. The group claims the attack will be on Monday October 10th, at 3:30PM Eastern. Why?

Disgusting Trap And Arrest Tactic By New York Police – Video

It’s a process called “Kettling” – leading the unsuspecting victim to an area where there’s no way out, and attacking. In this case, the NYPD demonstrated kettling on the protestors yesterday as over 700 people were arrested after police directed them to the Brooklyn Bridge, then started their arresting spree.

The video below shows this unbelievable “rounding-up” of the demonstrators at Occupy Wall Street.

Occupy Wall Street Took The Brooklyn Bridge – 400 People Arrested

Occupy Wall Street has gone nationwide, with protests today in Los Angeles and Maine. But the group of  young people who started the march in New York didn’t take the day off today, they took their protests to the next level and were joined by various unions as well. A faction of the group in New York eventually ended up on the Brooklyn Bridge, less than a mile away from Wall Street.

Below is an unedited video showing some of the protesters, as they shut down the bridge. Reports suggests that some 400 people were arrested.

Occupy Wall Street started about 3 weeks ago by a group of individuals tired with the way Wall Street have manipulated the system and the negative way their actions have affected the economy.

Occupy Wall Street – Russell Simmons Could Bring “Hundreds of Thousands” To Protest

Russell Simmons, who recently wrote an article demanding that the rich pay their fair share in taxes, is beginning to take another look at the 12 day old protest on Wall Street. In an interview today on MSNBC, Simmons, worth almost $350 million, told Martin Bashir;

… if I get involved really heavily in this one, we find the agenda and have a common ground… we can bring hundreds of thousands of people… small seeds are planted, but it could grow into something very big.”

Occupy Wall Street began as a small grassroot protest meant to send a message to the wealthy that middle class Americans are mad as hell, and they’re not gonna take it anymore! Since it started, the money controlled Media have totally ignored the protesters until recently, when unnecessarily aggressive crowd control measures by the New York police department got an entire segment on The Last Word on MSNBC.

Russell Simmons and a few hundreds of thousands more protesters will be a nice little addition.
