Republican Logic: Canadian Born Cruz Is an American – American Born Obama is Kenyan

I don’t get it. Excuse my frankness, but President Obama was born in America and the dumb nutjobs in the Republican party to this day cannot acknowledge his citizenship. They even proudly formed a movement called the Birthers and question everything from Obama’s birthplace to his education level to his religion.

And now Ted Cruz, a man born in Calgary Canada. Born in another country. And this man is being pushed by these same nutbags to run for President of the United States!

Their logic makes absolutely no sense. They harp on the fact that Cruz’s mother is an American citizen so that makes Cruz – although he was physically born in another country – his mother’s American citizenship makes him an American too. And they quickly quote the Constitution’s “natural” birth clause to justify their ignorance. But if this argument works for Cruz,  then why oh why wouldn’t the same be true for Obama?

According to Donald Trump and the Birthers, Obama was born in Kenya. If that is the case, and we know it’s not because the president has been forced by the nonsense to release his birth certificate on more than one occasion, but let’s play their dumb game for a second and say that Obama was in fact born in Kenya. His mother – like Cruz’s mother – was an American citizen! So shouldn’t that make our fictional Kenyan birth Obama an American?

The dumbness coming out of the Republican party these days is palpable!

But look away ladies and gentlemen. Don’t pay any attention to the obvious hate mongers. Even Ted Cruz, a favorite of the Birthers and the Tea party groupies is calling his Canadian birth a non issue.

“Because I was a U.S. citizen at birth, because I left Calgary when I was 4 and have lived my entire life since then in the U.S., and because I have never taken affirmative steps to claim Canadian citizenship, I assumed that was the end of the matter,” Cruz said.

Well I guess that settles it. Cruz has spoken. His Canadian birth means he is an American and the President’s American birth means he is a Kenyan.

The Dallas Morning News wrote in a story posted late Sunday night that Cruz likely remains a Canadian citizen, by virtue of being born there to an American mother. Having never renounced that citizenship, Cruz was technically a Canadian and an American citizen, according to legal experts.

Cruz said his mother told him that he could claim his citizenship if he ever wanted to, but that he never pursued it and thought the matter was settled.

Legal experts say that Cruz is a Canadian citizen regardless of whether he asked for it or not.

Fox Tells Viewers Best Route To Canada After President’s Reelection

They claimed they loved their country, they swear they’re patriotic.  But after the reelection of President Obama earlier this week, a Fox Station in Oklahoma dedicated part of their traffic segment to dishearten Republicans who have had enough of being patriotic.

Fox 23’s Jeff Brucculeri used part of his ‘Beat the Traffic’ segment to advise these Republican patriots on how to “beat the traffic” to Canada.

‘We had some folks make a special request,’ Brucculeri said. ‘I know a lot people said that if their candidate lost the election, they’d be moving to Canada — not sure why, but that was some of the folks’ promises out there.’

The traffic anchor proceeded to give ‘the quickest and directest route’ up north, where big government, same sex marriage and universal health are a part of everyday life.

Members of the newsroom could be heard laughing out of camera shot, to which Brucculeri just said: ‘“This is serious stuff.

Massive Protest In Canada For “War Criminal” Dick Cheney. Video

On a recent visit to Canada, former vice president Dick Cheney was greeted with chants of “war criminal,” as Canada’s residents expressed their displeasure in the actions taken by the Bush Administration in Iraq and their blatant violations of the Geneva Convention through the Administration’s torture policy.

Dick Cheney appeared at The Vancouver Club, where attendees paid up to $500.00 to hear him speak. Referring to Mr. Cheney, one protester called him a terrorist, saying;

“…well you can say the The Vancouver Club is harboring a terrorist and a war criminal tonight cause I think crimes of state, can also be acts of terror. Terrorizing people in Iraq, terrorizing detainees and prisoners… so to borrow some of the rhetoric of the Bush Administration, they are harboring a terrorist.”

To block the entrance to the building where Cheney was giving his speech, protesters sat in the road and literally held the legs of attendees trying to gain access while police struggled to keep the pathway clear.

This should be Dick Cheney’s welcome everywhere he goes.

Birthers Canada Donald Trump quotes Republican United States White House

Donald Trump: “I’m A Liberal On This One…!”

Back when all American presidents were automatically considered “American” because… they just were, and no one questioned whether birth certificates were authentic, Donald Trump made his first run for the White House. The year was 1999, and he ran as a Republican. After losing, The Donald saw a way to make some cash and wrote a book called, “The America We Deserve.” In it, The Trump took some very interesting positions. Here’s some of them;

  • “I really believe the Republicans are just too crazy, right?” he told Tim Russert onMeet the Press. “I mean, just what’s going on is just nuts.”
  • “We must have universal healthcare. I’m a conservative on most issues but a liberal on this one. We should not hear so many stories of families ruined by healthcare expenses.”
  • The goal of health care reform… should be a system that looks a lot like Canada. Doctors might be paid less than they are now, as is the case in Canada, but they would be able to treat more patients because of the reduction in their paperwork.
  • The Canadian plan also helps Canadians live longer and healthier than Americans.
  • We need, as a nation, to reexamine the single-payer plan, as many individual states are doing.
  • And on his criticism of George Bush and the Iraqi invasion, The Trump said, “He’d go into a country, attack Iraq, which had nothing to do with the World Trade Center, and just do it because he wanted to do it.”

Back then, those were the more popular positions to have so naturally, the opportunistic Donald took advantage. Today, however, he’s jumped on a different bandwagon that puts him in total opposition to his stance in ’99… one he considers fashionably popular – Birtherism.

Look out for Trump’s next book, coming in 2013!
