Susan Collins made the announcement that, after being in a party who’s very platform is against the entire LGBT community, she is now in favor of the LGBT community. Why? Because the LGBT is supporting her reelection bid.
“A number of states, including my home state of Maine, have now legalized same-sex marriage, and I agree with that decision,” the Maine Republican said in a statement issued after several news organizations made inquiries.
Collins joins three other GOP senators who have said they support gay marriage: Illinois’ Mark Kirk, Alaska’s Lisa Murkowski and Ohio’s Rob Portman.
After 60 years of marriage, nothing could rattle a pair of octogenarians – not even a car crash.
So when the couple emerged unscathed from the rollover in Bel Air, California, they did the only logical thing, grabbing their cell phones to pose for selifes with the wreckage.
The incident took place late Friday afternoon on Linda Flora Drive in the wealthy Los Angeles neighborhood made famous in the 90s by a sitcom starring Will Smith.
Queen of selfies: The famale driver found herself trapped inside the overturned car, but instead of panicking she asked her husband for her cell phone so she could take a selfie
Upside down: Neighbors and witnesses rushed to the duo’s help after their blue Honda sedan came to rest on its side on the tree-lined Linda Flora Drive in Bel Air
The married couple were driving their electric-blue Honda sedan with California license plates when the vehicle flipped over, landing on its left side on a tree-lined street.
No one was injured, but the female driver found herself trapped inside while her husband was able to climb out of the passenger’s seat.
What the hell for I hear you screaming as you scratch your head in confusion and disgust! Well you’re not alone. I had the very same reaction after I heard this news and now after reading the full account of Boehner’s intended lawsuit, I am still confused… and disgusted at the utter partisan nonsense these people are intentionally dragging this country through.
Boehner plans to sue Obama because Obama is acting like a president, and is doing the exact same thing other presidents before him have done. Boehner’s beef? He claims Obama is using Executive actions and so, must be sued… because… FREEDOM!
“I am,” the Speaker said when asked if he was planning to initiate a lawsuit.
“You know the constitution makes it clear that the president’s job is to faithfully execute the laws and in my view the President has not faithfully executed the laws,” Boehner added at a news conference on Capitol Hill.
The Speaker denied that the move was about energizing Republicans ahead the midterm elections.
“This is about defending the institution in which we serve. If you look back over the past 235 years of our history there’s been movement between the inherent powers of the executive branch vs the inherent powers of the legislative branch and what we’ve seen clearly over the past 5 years is an effort to erode the power of the legislative branch,” the Speaker said in response to a question from CNN.
Yea, sue the president for being presidential. Only the mush of a Republican brain can come up with this… mush!

Remember when Chris Christie’s reelection was supposed to herald the coronation of a politician who could reach across the aisle, make deals with the Democrats and solve New Jersey’s fiscal problems, all while simultaneously running a campaign for president?
November seems so long ago.
The Governor’s signature accomplishment, the pension and benefits bill of 2011, did not, in fact, solve the solvency problem, and his singular failure, not being able to stimulate New Jersey’s economy, is wreaking havoc with his budgetary priorities. All along, Christie has held the line against revenue increases and has stated repeatedly that the only fix for the dire fiscal straits New Jersey finds itself in is for him to renege on his promise to make a full pension payment and for public workers to pay more for their health care and retirements.
…while the paper goes into a detailed argument on why tax migration makes financial sense, it states at the beginning that “this paper does not provide proof or hard evidence that high income and/or high net worth residents are leaving New Jersey because of high taxes.”
The real truth is that Christie seems to be concerned about the hardships millionaires might face, but he perversely seems to accept hundreds of thousands of public workers seeing more money coming out of their paychecks in pension and healthcare costs without the means to sell their leveraged homes and move to states that have made their pension payments. Many state workers will see their actual take home pay decrease over the next three years. It’s no wonder the economy has been very slow to recover in New Jersey. When people have less money to spend and have to worry about saving enough to make up for any shortfalls in what the state can provide for pensions, then people spend less. The Governor wants them to pay more. And this guy wants to bring his agenda to the nation. Terrible.
We have one week of brinkmanship to go before the July 1 deadline for a balanced budget. I doubt the legislature will shut down the government, but any deal will require some compromise from both the legislators and Christie. Meanwhile, like the other state workers following this horror story, I’m holding on to my wallet.
If she decides to run in 2016, Hillary Clinton, the potentially first female president of the United States, could blow the Republican candidate out if the waters. So naturally, Republicans have been relentlessly attacking the former Secretary of State, even though she hasn’t made a decision to run.
This latest attack is compliments of Newt Gingrich. In Tuesday’s episode of “Crossfire,” Gingrich accused the former First Lady of lacking the qualifications for the presidency.
“You have to understand the problem Bill has,” Gingrich said. “Bill is to politics what Fred Astaire is to dancing, he is just automatically amazing and he wants to have Ginger Rogers out there dancing. Instead [with Hillary Clinton] it’s a little bit like watching Kim Kardashian get kicked off the stage by Prince because she couldn’t dance.”
Gingrich was referring to a February 2011 concert at Madison Square Garden in New York City, where Prince called Kardashian onto the stage. When the reality star did not start dancing, Prince booted her off, yelling, “Get off the stage!”
And when it comes to politics, Gingrich is not sure that Hillary Clinton has the right moves.
“I think there’s a big problem, because I don’t think, as a candidate, that [she] dances very well,” Gingrich said.
It was a terrifying ordeal as heard in the 911 call, as the babysitter described the home invasion that caused some of the family’s prized possessions to be stolen. But the babysitter did not plan on 4 year old Abby, and her penchant for telling the truth.
home alone when two men broke into the house stealing the family’s iPod, Xbox and Wii consoles.
The 17 year-old sitter told the police that two armed black men had broken into the house and that one of them looked like the family’s African-American neighbor, Cody Oaks. Soon after, police arrested Oaks and questioned him for hours. But it wasn’t until Abby spoke up that they were able to solve the crime. Abby told the police that “It wasn’t the right skin color,” explaining that the invaders had been white, not black.
The sitter’s story eventually fell apart and it was discovered that she had orchestrated the entire thing with her boyfriend and an accomplice committing the crime.
Ah Republicans. You claim Democrats were guilty of voter fraud and you create laws to keep them from going to the polls to vote. But as it turns out, the people committing these frauds are members of your party.
A Wisconsin insurance executive and Republican donor was charged with voting illegally more than a dozen times in four elections.
The Journal-Sentinel reported that 50-year-old Robert Monroe was caught as a result of an investigation into a possible illegal voting by his son in Waukesha County. But after his son denied requesting an absentee ballot from his father’s address in Shorewood, suspicion turned to Monroe.
A complaint claimed that Monroe voted five times in Gov. Scott Walker’s (R) recalled election. He also was accused of voting illegally in a 2011 Wisconsin Supreme Court election, a 2012 primary, and the 2012 presidential election.
Although the complaint did not state who Monroe voted for, WISN determined that he had donated money to Republican state Sen. Alberta Darling.
The racist numbnuts in the republican party are trying to intimidate some black people in Texas by holding what they call a “walk” through a black neighborhood. Said walk would feature these numbnuts brandishing their weapons as they stroll through the neighborhood where families with kids live.
They are the Houston chapter of Open Carry Texas, and they intend to masquerade their intimidation effort this Sunday, by calling the walk, a food drive. According to the groups Facebook page, they’re encouraging their supporters to turn out and “make this a big event.”
“Let’s once again show that gun rights belong to all,” they said.
But wait, something happened. It seems the intimidating Open Carry racists have canceled the event. Apparently they have realized that guns are not exclusive to whites only.
Earlier this month, R. Kelly’s 14-year-old child Jaya came out as a transgender boy and changed his name to Jay. The singer had been silent on the news until this morning when he was asked about it during a live radio interview.
The video above shows the founder of American Apparel, dancing in front if two female employees, fully naked with his dingerling dangling.
The Video, originally published by Viddme, and then later confirmed by Gawker, shows the American Apparel creator having a conversation on the phone while dancing around the room, clearly missing the fig leaf that would have covered his protruding member. At one point in the video, Mr. American Apparel, also known as Dov Charney, tried to pull one of the fully clothed females to join him in his joyous celebration. She was clearly not impressed.
After the video surfaced, Mr. Charney was fired from the company he founded.
