Ann Coulter Said Obama’s Base Is “Stupid Single Women”

Conservative columnist Ann Coulter on Wednesday said that President Barack Obama was campaigning with women’s rights activist Sandra Fluke because his base was “stupid single women.”

At a campaign event in Denver with the former Georgetown University Law School student who Rush Limbaughcalled a slut in March, Obama warned that GOP hopeful Mitt Romney’s policies on rights for women were “more suited to the 1950s than the 21st century.”

Romney has said that he would “get rid” of Planned Parenthood and “kill” the Affordable Care Act health law, which provides free contraception for women.

“I think it’s probably a good sign that Obama is so desperate just to get the base Democratic voter — stupid single women — to vote for him,” Coulter told Fox News host Sean Hannity on Thursday. “This is good news that he needs to lock up that part of the Democratic vote.”

“He’s trying to get the stupid single women voter, which is the Democratic Party base,” Coulter repeated. “And I would just say to stupid single women voters, your husband will not be able to pay you child support if Obamacare goes through and Obama is re-elected. You are talking about the total destruction of wealth. It is the end of America as we know it.”

President Obama: “I Like The Word ‘ObamaCare’ Because I Do Care”

President Obama is finally beginning to own the word “Obamacare and he is ripping the word straight out of the clutching hands of Republicans, who have used it as a divisive measure ever since the President proposed his Affordable Healthcare Plan back in 2009.

Until recently, any mention of the word “Obamacare” conjured up memories of town-hall brawls and misspelt Teaparty signs accusing the President of being a “communist socialist” who is setting up death panels and placing the government between you and your doctor. But as Americans realized that Republicans were intentionally lying about the law and its benefits, they too are referring to the word as a term of endearment.

And so is the President.

Yesterday at his most recent campaign stop in Colorado, Mr. Obama was heard saying; “The Affordable Care Act — also known as Obamacare,” as the audience applauded at the University of Denver. “I actually like the name,” he added. “Because I do care — that’s why we fought so hard to make it happen.”

Although the United States Supreme Court upheld the constitutionality of ObamaCare, Congressional Republicans are on a mission to repeal the bill. They have already held 33 failed attempts to void Mr. Obama’s healthcare law and the Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney, has sided with his base and is promising to repeal the law if he becomes president… although he passed the same law in Massachusetts as governor.

And as more benefits for the American people continue to materialized, Republicans will come to terms with the fact that repealing the law will be equivalent to political suicide.

Was Romney’s Greed The Cause Of Someone’s Death

It’s a little ad made by Priorities USA – the SuperPAC supporting President Obama. The ad featured Joe Soptic, a steelworker who lost his job when Romney’s Bain Capital bought the company. Following Bain’s proven method for making a profit, Joe lost his job and his family’s health insurance coverage. Shortly after, his wife was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer.

She died 22 days later.

“I don’t think Mitt Romney understands what he’s done to people’s lives by closing the plant,” Joe says. “I don’t think he realizes that people’s lives completely changed.”

Romney’s Bain however, made a huge profit.

Actress Elizabeth Banks – “Planned Parenthood Was My Healthcare Provider”

In a new ad supporting President Obama, Elizabeth Banks explained that earlier in her career, Planned Parenthood was her primary healthcare provider, not for all the wrong reasons Republicans think the organization is all about, but for other things. She explains;

“Planned Parenthood was my healthcare provider when I didn’t have insurance after graduating from college. Yes I got birth control, but it was for my massive migraine headaches and my heavy flow. Yes, I’m going on the record saying I have a heavy flow. And unfortunately these are the types of things that I don’t want to discuss with employers…So I’m really grateful that [Planned Parenthood exists].”

Mitt Romney’s response? “Planned Parenthood? Yea, we’re gonna end that.”

Even Republicans Call Mitt Romney’s “Welfare” Ad A Lie

The Romney ad following this post has already been debunked by all the major news organizations and called a lie by many. And now, some Republicans are stepping up to the plate and calling out Mitt Romney for the lies he is telling. Ron Haskins, the Republican who was a senior adviser to President Bush on welfare policies, is the latest Republican to disagree with Romney’s attacks.

Mitt Romney’s latest television ad attacks the Obama administration for announcing a “plan to gut welfare reform by dropping work requirements.” It’s a strong allegation, but according to a former Republican congressional aide who was key to crafting welfare reform in the 1990s, it’s also not true.

There’s no plausible scenario under which it really constitutes a serious attack on welfare reform,” Ron Haskins, who is now co-director of the Brookings Institution’s Center on Children and Families, said in an interview with NPR that aired on Wednesday.

Haskins spent 14 years on the staff of the House Ways and Means Committee’s Human Resources Subcommittee, first as welfare counsel to the Republican staff, then as the subcommittee’s staff director. In 2002, he was President George W. Bush’s senior adviser on welfare policy.

Welfare, formally known as the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families program, is administered by states within federal rules. Last month, the Department of Health and Human Services invited states to apply for waivers from some rules in order to run “demonstration projects” so that states could “consider new, more effective ways to meet the goals of TANF, particularly helping parents successfully prepare for, find, and retain employment.”

Haskins noted that the requirements states have to meet in order to receive the waivers are quite rigorous.

“First of all, the states have to apply individually for waivers,” he said. “And they have to explain in detail, sometimes using data, why this approach would lead to either more employment or better jobs for people who are trying to welfare or get off welfare.”

As The Huffington Post’s Arthur Delaney has pointed out, this waiver policy was sought out by Republican governors. In a release defending its waiver request from conservative backlash last month, the office of Utah Gov. Gary Herbert (R) said, “Utah’s request for a waiver stems from a desire for increased customization of the program to maximize employment among Utah’s welfare recipients.”

In 2005, as Massachusetts governor, Romney also signed a letter in support of a waiver policy — a fact left out of his new TV ad.

Here’s the ad:

New Poll Finds – Americans Just Don’t Like Mitt Romney

You can fool some of the people some of the times (we will call these people Republicans), but you can’t fool all the people all the time, and that is the pickle Mitt Romney has found himself in, as a new poll is suggesting that his lies to get elected are not working with the average American. Americans are seeing right through the lies of the Mittens.

A new ABC News/Washington Post poll finds Mitt Romney is laboring under the lowest personal popularity ratings for a presidential nominee in midsummer election-year polls back to 1984.

Just 40% of Americans overall view Romney favorably, 49% unfavorably – leaving him underwater, at least numerically, in 10 straight polls this year. A new high of 30% now see him “strongly” unfavorably, nearly double his strongly favorable score.

“Romney’s inability to gain on Obama since then may be a sign that his image has been damaged by summer stumbles, including new attention on his tax returns and an overseas trip that included several gaffes.”

Breaking News: We Found Mitt Romney’s Taxes

It was just a matter of time. We waited and waited for Mitt Romney to show his taxes, but it became clear to us that Romney was going to slide by until November, keeping all the secrets… well, secret.

So we created this program called “Curiosity” and the rest like they say, is history.

See below for yourself.

Mitt Romney’s Tax Plan Could Save His Family $80 Million

The U.S. tax code may be difficult to grasp, but understanding the presidential candidates‘ plans for it doesn’t have to be. President Obama wants to raise his own taxes, while Mitt Romney wants to dramatically reduce the already small slice he pays to Uncle Sam.

Of course, that simplification doesn’t shed light on just how dramatic President Romney’s windfall for his family would actually be. Mitt’s plan, which the nonpartisan Tax Policy Center forecast would cut taxes for the richest five percent of earners while increasing the tax bill for the other 95 percent of Americans, could slash his own annual IRS payment by almost half. And by eliminating the estate tax, the $250 million man would potentially divert $80 million (and possibly more) from the United States Treasury to his own heirs

Mississippi Church Issues Appology For Refusing to Marry Black Couple

You expect racism from a certain segment of the Society. A segment that thinks they are superior to others, that they are better, that the blood that flows through their veins comes directly from the Almighty while that of the other ‘inferior beings’ comes from primates, preferably monkeys.

The ironic thing about racism however, is that although the racists think they are superior, they are often the ones stuck in a primitive stage of development, refusing to accept Biblical and basic scientific facts that we are all the same. And they are usually the first ones to justify their hate and ignorance with something from the Bible – another irony… quoting scriptures to validate their hate.

Which brings us to this story about a pastor in Mississippi who refused to marry a black couple simply because…the couple was black.

Te’Andrea and Charles were members of First Baptist Church of Crystal Springs. They were told by their pastor that he couldn’t perform their ceremony at the church because church member would disapprove of a black couple getting married in their sanctuary. The couple moved their wedding to another church, causing a huge backlash in the community and the rest of the Nation.

Today, weeks after their July 21st ceremony, First Baptist Church is offering an apology.

In a statement read at its service and posted online on Sunday, First Baptist Church of Crystal Springs said it never should have asked Te’Andrea Henderson Wilson and Charles Wilson to relocate their July 21 ceremony.

The couple had been told their wedding plans made some congregants uncomfortable at the church in southern Mississippi, a state with a long history of racial divisions.

‘As a church, we express our apology to Te’Andrea and Charles Wilson for the hurt that was brought to them in the hours preceding their wedding and beyond,’ the statement read.
‘We are seeking forgiveness and reconciliation with our Lord Jesus Christ, Te’Andrea and Charles, family and friends of the Hendersons and Wilsons, our church family, and our community for the actions and attitudes that have recently occurred.’

The church said it strives to be open to all people, and its members will continue to pray about the matter.

The church’s decision to move the nuptials stirred racial tensions and drew condemnation from across the globe, as well as reaction from government and religious leaders.

Mississippi Republican Governor Phil Bryant called it ‘unfortunate,’ as did recently elected Southern Baptist Convention President Fred Luter, who is black.

Charles Wilson said yesterday he was not satisfied with the apology because it was not delivered directly to him or his wife.

It also failed to explain why the church denied them a wedding ceremony based solely on their race, he said.

‘As far as this apology, we haven’t heard anything,’ Mr Wilson said. ‘It was stated that they read the apology to the congregation.

‘We were not in their services, so they did not apologise to us … They have not sent us a letter. They have not tried to contact us.’

Mr Wilson said the couple no longer attend the church. They have been invited to join several others in the area and are in the process of visiting them.

Teaparty “Jokes” About President Obama Being Beaten

I came across this today on ThinkProgress. It is an email being circulated to members of a Teaparty group in Pennsylvania called Northeast Pennsylvania Spirit of 1776. They call it a “joke” as usual, and this email follows the pattern of other so-called “jokes” by other Republicans and Teaparty members.

The writers of the email called “Our Forefathers Express Their Outrage” wonders what it would be like when President Obama dies and meet the Forefathers in the afterlife.

It is obvious that these people have no respect for the President, but what happened to respect for the office of the President? Apparently all that went out the window when this particular man became president.

President Obama: Gun Violence “Happening With Too Much Regularity”

President Obama said today that mass shootings like the one Sunday in Wisconsin are “happening with too much regularity” and should inspire “soul searching” by all Americans.

Speaking with reporters in the Oval Office, Obama said ways should be found to reduce gun violence, but he did not discuss specifics. He said he wants to bring together people from throughout society to examine ways to reduce violence.

“There are a lot of elements involved in this,” Obama said.

The president also said he and aides are still awaiting the results of an investigation into Sunday’s shootings at a Sikh temple in Oak Creek, Wis.

“All of us are heartbroken by what happened,” Obama said.

The killing of seven people — including the gunman — came less than two weeks after a mass shooting at a movie theater in Aurora, Colo., that left 12 people dead
