Ann Romney’s Biggest Concern – Mitt Could Go Crazy If He Lose In November – Video

WOW!

If Mitt Romney cannot handle the struggles of a political campaign, how in the world is he going to handle the constant barrage of problems the president faces every day?

This little piece of nugget comes from the person who knows Mitt Romney best. In an interview, Ann Romney tells of her biggest concern if Mitt Romney doesn’t win the White House. According to Mrs. Romney, her biggest concern is “Mitt’s mental well-being.”

Ann Romney thinks the campaign for the presidency and losing in November could drive Mitt Romney crazy!

WOW!

Gay Veteran To Mitt Romney – “You Will Never Be My President!” – Video

Mitt Romney was in the restaurant. He strolled over to a table and sat down next to a man who just happened to be a veteran… a gay veteran. Seeing Mr. Romney sitting next to him, the veteran asked Mr. Romney a question that was of importance to him.

“How do you feel about marriage equality Mr. Romney?”

“I believe that marriage is between a man and a woman,” Romney happily responded, unaware that he was talking to a gay man. He apparently expected the elderly man to smile approvingly, after all, the man was in his 60’s and common knowledge suggests that elderly people will generally be against same-sex marriage.

But Romney soon realized he was wrong about this particular elder and after a brief and uncomfortable discussion, Romney was quickly ushered away from the table.

The veteran was angry, and told reporters that Romney will not get his vote. “He will never be president,” he said. “At least not my president!”

Republican Women – We Will Vote For President Obama in November

Republican women have seen the light. They are witness to the obvious assault the men in their party are waging on them and they are saying enough with the party-first-me-second mentality. They are demanding the respect they deserve, but respect in today’s Republican party doesn’t come easily, so these women are taking matters into their own hands. They are voting for policies that protect their lives. They are voting for President Obama this November.

Mitt Romney Is Now Less Popular Than George Bush – Poll

Apparently Mitt Romney is now less popular than… George W. Bush.

That’s according to a new Bloomberg News poll, which finds that former President Bush has 46 percent favorable ratings and 49 percent unfavorable ratings among adults. By contrast, the current GOP presidential candidate Romney has a favorability rating of 43 percent and unfavorable ratings at 50 percent.

President Barack Obama came in with higher favorability than both Republicans, racking up 52 favorable ratings and 44 percent unfavorables.

Romney did, however, beat out Vice President Joe Biden‘s 42 percent net favorable ratings.

The poll’s most favorable leader found was former President Bill Clinton, who polled at 64 percent favorable and 29 percent unfavorable. Coming in second was First Lady Michelle Obama, with 63 favorable and 29 unfavorable.

Check out the full Bloomberg poll results here.

Another New Poll – President Obama Leads Romney in New Hampshire

President Obama has a seven-point lead over Mitt Romney in New Hampshire but they’re neck-and-neck in North Carolina and Nevada, according to new swing state polling.

Likely voters in the NBC/Wall Street Journal/Marist Institutepolls released last night prefer Obama 51%-44% in New Hampshire, where Romney has a vacation home. Obama leads Romney by 2 percentage points each in North Carolina and Nevada, but the numbers are within the margin of error.

The findings track other recent polling in these battlegrounds — among about a dozen states where the presidential contest will likely be decided.

Obama’s standing in these polls has been aided by improved perceptions about the direction of the country, especially in New Hampshire.

Would You Buy A Used Car From This Party?

In February, I sounded the warning. Twice. But, evidently, there are still people out there who either haven’t heard the news or don’t want to believe it.

The Republican Party is headed for a terrible crash that will weaken its influence and lead to a reassessment of its platform and direction. We’re already seeing the evidence, from Mitt Romney‘s comments on the 47% and his contention that Palestinians don’t want peace, to Todd Akin’s ignorant rant about rape victims and all of the other far right conspiracy theories about Obama being a Muslim, a socialist and unqualified to be president because he’s not a citizen. These ideas have not gone away, nor have they been submerged for the good of the Romney/Ryan ticket.

Now the GOP is running a campaign that says that they have the solutions to our nation’s problems. But why should we trust them? They’ve been wrong on every major issue over the past four years.

Consider the following Republican pronouncements:

Stimulus will cause inflation.

The Supreme Court will find the health care law unconstitutional.

Cutting taxes for the wealthy will result in economic expansion.

The polls are wrong.
Really wrong.
Democrats do not win elections we say they won’t win.
Why aren’t you listening to us?

Isn’t it amusing that the party of anti-science would be so concerned about the science of polling?

Now comes word that the party of morality is considering jumping back in to the Akin Senate campaign in Missouri. Does their hypocrisy know no bounds? No wonder Obama’s polling bounce is due mostly to support from women.

This is a political party without defining principles other than irrational celebration of the individual at the expense of the community and a misplaced sense of right and wrong. It can’t end well, and it won’t.

Mitt Romney Makes An Ad In Favor Of President Obama’s Re-Election – Ad

Not much to say about this ad because Mitt Romney does all the talking.

Who knew that when Mitt Romney gathered some of his rich friends for a private fundraiser and decided to crucify half of America by calling them lazy good-for-nothing bums… who knew he’ll be making an ad for the President’s re-election campaign.

Mitt Romney – Bain Was Formed To “Harvest” Companies For Potential Profit

Another gem from Mother Jones:

In the clip below, Mitt Romney is describing the real reason for Bain. Not to act as a job creator like Romney often says, but to invest in other companies with the hopes that in five to eight years, Bain could “harvest” to make a profit.

I’ll let Romney explain in his own words:

Bain Capital is an investment partnership which was formed to invest in startup companies and ongoing companies, then to take an active hand in managing them and hopefully, five to eight years later, to harvest them at a significant profit…

Yes, we all know the real reason anyone goes into business is to make a profit. But if you listen to Mitt Romney on the campaign trail, he will have you believe that Bain existed for the sole purpose of creating jobs. Romney is often heard saying, “I know how to create jobs. I’ve done it before,” and he attacks the president, falsely stating that Mr. Obama’s policies “destroys jobs.”

We’ve seen ads from the Obama reelection team detailing companies that went bankrupt after they were bought by Bain, while Romney and his investors walked away with huge profits. Romney’s campaign usually respond by saying that Bain created more jobs than were lost. His campaign also points to Staples as their success story. But hearing Romney’s mission statement in the video, it seems that Staples’ success was in spite of Bain’s intervention, not because of it.

Here’s the video, filmed in 1985.

Samuel Jackson Rhymes: Wake The F*ck Up. Vote For Obama – Video

The video below is sponsored by the Jewish Council on Education and Research Super PAC. It stars Samuel Jackson and his co-star, “little Suzie.” In the vocal tradition of his audio book for children, “Go the F*ck To Sleep,” Jackson begins the piece;

“In the silvery moonlight that bathed every town,

the people lie dreaming so safe and so sound.

They’re warm in their beds, snuggled up in their sheets,

But four years before, they were out in the streets.

Now, it’s as if they don’t know what’s at stake,

All except one girl, wide-eyed and awake.”

“Little Suzie is to worried to sleep,

She can’t figure out why her family is so placid.

It’s like they don’t know that Romney and his veep,

Will remake the country in ways that are drastic.

She read his platform and it scared he to death,

She’s got to do something, while there’s still time left.”

Mitt Romney – Polls? What Polls? “I’m Going to Win Ohio!” You Can LOL Now.

If the polls show that the people are voting for President Obama, then how exactly can Mitt Romney win? Maybe he’s given up on getting the people’s vote, and is banking on the votes from the corporations. After all, he did say, “corporations are people my friend.” Are there enough corporations to outnumber the votes of the people? Mitt Romney apparently thinks so.

“I’m going to win Ohio. I’m going to become the next president, in part because I’m going to have the support of people in Ohio,” Romney told NBC News on Wednesday.

A New York Times poll released Wednesday showed President Obama leading his Republican challenger 53-43 percent, but Romney i

“Actually the national polls, Rasmussen and Gallup, have it a tied race,” Romney said. “States have numbers that are better or worse than others.”

While conservative-leaning Rasmussen does show the race deadlocked nationally at 46-46 percent, Gallup’s tracking poll released Wednesday showed the president with a six-point advantage.

Obama’s Big Bouncy Bouncy

Remember the Super Ball (if you do, you’re old, but that’s OK)? The rubber and plastic ball that was wound so tightly that it bounced halfway to the moon when an eight-year-old threw it?

That’s how big a bounce Obama’s received since the Democratic National Convention ended three weeks ago. It’s astounding, and it’s driving the Romney campaign crazy.

Scores of polls released since the DNC overwhelmingly show President Obama leading nationally and in the swing states that will decide this election. Republicans and some independent polling analysts are questioning the results of those polls, stating emphatically that they overstate Democratic participation and assume that the 2012 electorate will look more like 2008 (more Democratic participation) than 2004 (fewer Democrats) or 2010 (many more Republicans, and Independents who voted Republican).

Still others say that polls are usually right given that they’re aggregated from a variety of sources, such as the Real Clear Politics Index, and that changes in the electorate, whether pollsters call cell phones or use Internet-only methods, and the effects of early voting laws make polling an inexact science at best. Watch where the candidates spend their money and you’ll get a sense of where the races are the tightest, they say, and will be based on candidates’ internal polling. Right now that’s in Florida, Ohio, Colorado, Wisconsin and Virginia where the two campaigns are running thousands of TV spots per day in an attempt to either away voters or destroy their brain cells. It’s difficult to tell. Even here, it seems, the Obama camp has an edge, though Republican PAC money will surely change the equation soon.

At this point in the campaign, and polls can only give us a snapshot of this moment in time, President Obama has gained traction and has expanded his lead in the race. Part of that is his convention bounce, part of it is Democrats more firmly committing to his campaign, and part of it is reaction to Mitt Romney’s 47% comment that has cost him the support of some independent voters. Obama is polling at or above 50% in many of the swing states while Romney is polling in a narrow range of between 44 and 47%. This has to concern Republicans because 47% is where John McCain ended up four years ago. And Romney has not led in any of the swing states save for North Carolina in quite some time.

Next Wednesday’s debate will be Romney’s last, best hope to turn this election around. He’ll need to show a side of him that voters have not seen in order to convince the undecideds that he’s the answer to the nation’s problems. The President does have weaknesses on the deficit, unemployment and unrest in the Middle East. And word is that Obama is not preparing for the debates as thoroughly as Romney, which has to make the Republicans hopeful.

But Romney not only has to improve, he’s got to make up ground lost due to his own missteps. That will be a tall order.

Republican Darrell Issa Wins! – Most Corrupt Member of Congress Award as per CREW

On September 13th, Representative Darrell Issa (R-CA) won an award he’d probably love to be able to decline. Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW), a non-profit legal watchdog group dedicated to holding public officials accountable for their actions, gave Issa a Dishonorable Mention in its 8th annual Most Corrupt Members of Congress report.

CREW cites Issa for illegally revealing confidential information from a sealed wiretap in the Congressional Record — while leading a politically-motivated witch hunt intended to hurt Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder — and then shielding himself from reproach and censure by claiming that he, as a member of Congress, had constitutional protections for his unethical actions.

As CREW explains, “Rep. Issa […] knew that by inserting the information in the Congressional Record, he would be immune from prosecution under the Constitution’s Speech or Debate clause, which protects members of Congress for remarks and actions that fall within the legislative sphere.” Federal law dictates that wiretap applications can only be disclosed after acquiring permission from a judge, and anyone breaking this law can be held in contempt.
