Principal Fired After Appearing in Twerk-Filled Trey Songz Video

Esther Adler-O’Keefe, the principal at Southampton High School, was just trying to reach new kids through music when she made her appearance in JR’s “Best Friends” music video, featuring Trey Songz.

In the video, the principal is with her husband and leaving for vacation. Apparently leaving the rapper in charge, the principal tells JR to have a good time, but she warns, “enjoy yourself. Just remember, security’s here.”

After the couple walks out the door, the twerking began in earnest. And the content of that video along with the principal’s association with it cost her dearly!

“The video in question showcases behaviors and language use that is not promoted by the Southampton School District,” the superintendent Dr. Scott Farina tells the Southampton Press. “In fact, we actively teach our students the importance of good character and making smart choices. Additionally, this is not representative of who we are as a district, nor of our students and staff.” Twerking does not fall under “smart choices” in Southampton, Long Island, apparently.

High School Ask Students to Sign No Twerking Contract

A high school in Lacey is making students and their parents sign an agreement stating students will not twerk, lap dance, or otherwise “look like you’re having sex” on the dance floor during school-sanctioned events.

River Ridge High School officials sent home the RRHS Dance Contract earlier this month.

The contract outlines various examples of “inappropriate dancing,” as well as consequences that will incur following a student violation.

Punishments range from a warning to removal from a dance and ban on future dances.

Students’ parents are asked to sign the form, notifying them that the cost of the dance will not be refunded following a student’s dismissal.

Viral “Worst Twerk Fail EVER” Video was Actually A Stunt By Jimmy Kimmel

On Monday night, Jimmy Kimmel brought an end to all the conspiracies surrounding the authenticity of a YouTube Twerking video gone viral. In the video,  “Caitlin Heller” tried to impress her boyfriend by doing her best twerking moves. Those moves didn’t turn out too well, as “Caitlin” ended up on fire… literally!

The video, seen over 9,000,000 times on YouTube was an instant hit, but many questioned whether the video was real. Well on Monday night, Jimmy Kimmel explained that he was in fact, behind the whole thing. And “Caitlin” wasn’t really Caitlin, but a stunt actress named Daphne Avalon.

“To the conspiracy theorists on the Internet who thought the video was fake: You were right it was fake,” Kimmel said, while showing an extended version of the video with him putting out the fire.

“We shot the video about two months ago. We put it up and didn’t send it to any TV station. I didn’t tweet it, we didn’t put it on any websites. We just put it up on YouTube and let the magic happen.”

Kimmel is known for his internet pranks. And this one, was genius!

Twerking And Fire Don’t Mix – Don’t Believe Me? Ask Her… – Video

Apparently, this girl did not read Miley Cyrus’  Twerking for Dummies handbook. If she had, she would have realized that there are rules to this thing.

Rule #1 –  Do not next to candles.
Rule #2 – If you Twerk next to candles, you may get burn
Rule #3 – If you get burn, drop, roll and twerk some more.

In other words, do not do what this girl did.

Jay Z – “Somewhere In America, Miley Cyrus is Twerking”

If you don’t yet know what Jay Z is talking about, then you most likely were on a trip to the moon. If that’s the case, then welcome back. Miley Cyrus – children’s icon on Disney – shocked the world when pictures and videos of her twerking hit the internet:

Now that you’re all caught up on Miley Cyrus’ Twerking abilities, you may be asking why is Jay Z mentioning her in his music? A valid question. Some assume that Jay Z was returning a favor because Cyrus gave him a shoutout in her “Party In The USA.” But if Jay Z was really returning the favor, why does it sound as if he was making fun of her.

Here’s Jay’s lyrics:

“When I was talking Instagram, Last thing you wanted was your picture snapped. Feds still lurking, They see I’m still putting work in, Cause somewhere in America Miley Cyrus is still twerkin’, HA! Twerk, twerk, twerk, twerk, Twerk, Miley, Miley, twerk, Twerk, Twerk, Miley, Miley, Miley, twerk, Twerk, yeah, ugh-huh, Twerk, Miley, Miley, Miley. Only in America.”

HuffPo reports that Jay Z “drops in some not-too-subtle laughter throughout the verse, leaving it up to us to discern, rather easily, his views on Cyrus’ treatment of the dance craze — a movement that originated in hip-hop culture.”

Don’t let Jay stop you Miley. Twerk and Twerk some more! 🙂
