Michael Brown’s family is outraged at Ferguson police. After video surfaced today allegedly showing Michael Brown robbing cigars frim a store, Brown’s family released a statement criticizing the police department for the “devious ways” that are putting out information, in an attempt to “assassinate the character” of their son.
Here is the family’s full statement.
“Michael Brown’s family is beyond outraged at the devious way the police chief has chosen to disseminate piece mil information in a manner intended to assassinate the character of their son, following such a brutal assassination of his person in broad daylight.
There is nothing based on the facts that have been placed before us that can justify the execution style murder of their child by this police officer as he held his hands up, which is the universal sign of surrender.
The prolonged release of the officer’s name and then the subsequent alleged information regarding a robbery is the reason why the family and the local community have such distrust for the local law enforcement agencies.
It is no way transparent to release the still photographs alleged to be Michael Brown and refuse to release the photographs of the officer that executed him.
The police strategy of attempting to blame the victim will not divert our attention, from being focused on the autopsy, ballistics report and the trajectory of the bullets that caused Michael’s death and will demonstrate to the world this brutal execution of an unarmed teenager.”
We now know the name of the man who murdered Michael Brown on the streets of Ferguson Missouri last weekend.
Officer Darren Wilson is a six year veteran of the Ferguson police department, and a longtime resident of the St. Louis area. Police chief Jon Belmar said that Wilson did not have any disciplinary issues.
An overwhelmed Belmar also confirmed that Wilson was responding to a strong-arm robbery at a convenience store in the the area, and the suspect highly resembled Michael Brown. He released a timeline of the dispatch records, as well as security tape of the robbery in question.
State Senator Maria Chappelle Nadel is not very fond of Gov. Nixon. After calling him out on MSNBC yesterday stating that he is a “coward,” for not taking control senator of the situation in Ferguson, Chappelle wasn’t done. She used her twitter account to respond directly to a tweet sent from the governor’s account.
Jay Nixon’s twitter message was one he delivered earlier in his press conference when he removed the local police and their horrendous handling of the protesters in Ferguson. The tear gas throwing, rubber bullets firing cops were replaced by State Patrol officers, and Nixon’s message was in reference to the actions of the local police.
“Situation in Ferguson does not represent who we are,” Nixon said. “Must keep the peace, while safeguarding rights if citizens and the press. ”
But that did not go over well with the Senator, who has accused the governor of not caring about the people in that district. “He has not come to ground zero,” she has said in interviews, and she called the governor’s handling of the shooting of Michael Brown “Nixon’s Katrina.”
“You don’t know shit,” Maria tweeted, “bc you never communicate. FUCK you governor.”
So it turns out liberals love the constitution much more than conservatives. You see if not for us “Libtards” there would be more bodies lying dead in Ferguson, Missouri. One dead boy is certainly too many. One boy who isn’t able to see how certain parts (liberal) of the country are rallying to see justice served. There would be more Mike Brown’s in Ferguson if not for the liberals in Missouri and around the country, on Facebook and Twitter demanding an end to the militarized police in the streets of Ferguson.
Funny how we haven’t seen those “conservatives” who bitch and moan about upholding the Constitution, hell they even have a “Constitution Party” yet where were they when police were pointing military assault weapons at peaceful, unarmed kids in the streets? Where were they when police were knocking down cameras and arresting journalists? Putting innocent civilians and journalists in jail? Where?
You know where they were. At home jacking off to the idea of all of those citizens of Ferguson owning guns. Yes that’s what they want. They want them all to have guns, open carry. Let’s imagine what would have happened if those citizens had those guns the NRA wants everyone to have. Who do you think would have won? The people or the militarized police department with their assault weapons and hand grenades and tanks? What carnage would we have seen on television?
They love their Constitution when it suits them. When white men with guns show up at a ranch and threaten to kill the Feds or the police if they try to force them off they scream about Second Amendment rights. But when unarmed, peaceful citizens want to express their FIRST Amendment rights then it’s crickets…nothing. And notice how no police tanks showed up at Bundy Ranch.
This is how full of shit right wingers are, totally full of shit. But thank goodness for the liberals. They tweeted their disgust, they were out there in danger, getting tear gassed and shot with rubber bullets. Yes this is America in 2014, not Selma, Alabama in 1962. But they were there protesting the police brutality and escalation of violence. They were there.
So President Obama made a call to Governor Nixon of Missouri. How does a Nixon get elected to public office anyway? I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall listening to that conversation. I know Obama is a gentleman, a lot more gentle than I would be if I were in his position, but let me quickly translate what he MIGHT have said.
Hey Nixon, get your ass out there and put someone in charge who knows what the fuck they’re doing. If I see one more tank or hear about one more tear gas attack or journalist being jailed, I’m gonna come there and put my foot firmly up your ass.
Yeah, I think it went something like that..only nicer…maybe. So Nixon was on television today, telling us that the local police are out and the Missouri highway patrol is in. Headed by a black man. Yes Nixon also said lots of bullshit. He wouldn’t talk about the people responsible for the injustices of the last few nights or what might happen to them. “Lets’ look ahead,” he said. The mantra of a corporate politician. He lied about civilians being ALMOST equally responsible for the unrest. Total lies. But changes were made, hopefully they work. You could tell that Nixon would rather be shaving his balls than making these announcements.
So America has been awakened to the militarization of the police. That we don’t have police, but wanna be soldiers without the training. Police that have no knowledge of the Constitution or even local laws. If they do, they don’t care. This has been going on for years now, as I and a few others have spoken about. But cameras and reporters have witnessed this over the top police response so now people are finally outraged.
But this will happen again. We may or may not know about it next time. This is America. The Federal government is responsible as well because they are funding these police departments with the money and the military style equipment. 450 million bucks worth. This all started after 9/11 with scumbag Rudy Giuliani using the excuse of “9/11 changed everything” to justify the militarization and brutality of the police department. It’s important to not forget that, to not just “look ahead.”
These same departments claim there is no money for officers to wear cameras or even have them in their patrol cars. The money must stop going for this war time paraphernalia and must go for the cameras that make more officers act responsibly and within the law.
Then there is what can only be called the cover-up of the facts in the Michael Brown case. The officers name still hasn’t been released. The number of bullets shot and the number of bullets that hit Brown have not been released. The reason for leaving Brown’s body in the street for four hours hasn’t been revealed. All of this is against Missouri state law. This is one of the main reasons why people are upset and protesting. How quickly justice moves along when a citizen is accused of a crime. How slowly it moves when a police officer is involved. This makes people angry and it should.
Another witness now tells us that Brown was shot while on his knees with his hands in the air, shot several times. Same account among witnesses from different angles, people who have no connection to each other at all. Why hasn’t the officer been arrested and charged? You or I would be in jail by now, that we know. If Michael Brown had shot and killed the officer we would know his name and he would be behind bars. Pure fact.
So maybe the current cop crap is over in Ferguson, maybe. But Michael Brown remains dead and his parents without a son. Let’s not forget that. Justice still isn’t close to being served.
I think it’s a fair to say that base on his rant against AL Sharpton, NBA player Gilbert Arenas is not too fond of the civil rights leader. Arenas called Sharpton a “coon” for getting involved in Ferguson and, as far as he is concerned, Sharpton presence is just making matters worse.
In an Instagram post that was later deleted but not before it was saved by UPROXX, Arenas went all in on Sharpton.

UPROXX reports that the pair do have some history, as in 2010 Sharpton spoke out harshly against Arenas during his guns in the locker room flap, and called for then Commissioner Stern to issue a severe punishment. Gilbert’s words may reflect his true feelings, but the harshness of his statement may be attributed to some still lingering personal issues with the good reverend.
President Obama made a statement on the US efforts in Iraq against the terrorist group ISIS, and the ongoing tensions in Ferguson Missouri where 18 year old Michael Brown was murdered by police.
People are angry and they have every right to be. One of their own was gunned down in the streets like an animal in his own community, his lifeless body displayed where it fell like a trophy for all to see.
His crime? Walking the street of Ferguson Missouri as a black man. That act is apparently a crime that carries with it an automatic death penalty, to be administered by the first police officer on site.
The officer who pulled the trigger, and pulled the trigger, and pulled the trigger, pumping multiple bullets into Michael Brown’s body, was quickly whisked away by police and put in their protective custody for a job well done.
Yes, people are angry and they should be. But these people are black. The bullet-riddled body of the dead teenager, whose apparent crime was walking, was also black and based on eyewitness reports, the trigger-happy police officer who committed the crime of murder was white and belongs to a police force that’s 97% white.
These combinations should have made this unfortunate situation a teachable moment – bringing together the community and the police and ensuring justice for Michael Brown and his family. But instead, scenes of white officers in military gear with heavy artillery, spiced up with the heavy smoke from exploding tear gas canisters and flash grenades, illuminated the area where just days before, an unarmed teen spent the last moments of his life, kneeling down on the cold hard asphalt, hands raised and begging for his life.
Michael Brown’s pleads for life fell on deaf ears as the bullets destroyed his internal organs. And ironically the angry community, using their constitutional rights to protest the killing of one of their own, also found themselves, sitting on the cold hard asphalt with their hands raised, yelling “hands raised don’t shoot, hands raised don’t shoot!”
And for that instant, the protesters must have experienced a small piece of Michael’s last moments as they too looked down the street and saw the same police force, with their machine guns and snipers aiming directly at them… tear gas, flash grenades and rubber bullets the only conversation these police preferred.
While Ferguson police revved up their heavy artillery against peacefully assembled citizens, people gathered to protest against the unlawful shooting of a black teenager, something has been noticeably missing – the political leader of Missouri, Governor Jay Nixon and whether he approved of the snipers, teargas and flash grenades used against the citizens of Ferguson who were exercising their First Amendment Rights.
Well just before midnight, Governor Nixon made his presence known, tweeting that he was canceling all his appearances at the Missouri State Fair for Thursday and will be heading to St Louis with a statement to follow.
Hopefully, this would lead to a sensible solutions on how to appreciate the constitutional rights of the citizens on St Louis.
Ferguson police continue to protect the identity of the killer of Michael Brown while releasing the preliminary autopsy report, and the report showed that Michael Brown, the black teenager killed by police because he walked in the street, was shot multiple times… multiple times!
There are no indication of how many bullets the police fired into Brown’s body, no indication of where the bullets hit – eyewitness claims that Brown was shot in the back as he ran away from the police. That’s basically all the information the police is allowing out at this time.
But like mentioned above, Ferguson police is doing all they can to protect the shooter’s identity. No one apparently need to know anything about this killer.
Who was there to protect the innocence of a black teenager walking on the street in Ferguson Missouri? That’s what he did. That’s what started the process that ended his life. He walked on the street, and he was shot multiple times by police for doing that.
Michael Brown’s innocence and his life were taken by a barrage of bullets fired by a police officer and now that police officer’s guilt is being protected by the Ferguson Police Department.
Police said death threats prompted them to withhold the name of the officer, who was placed on administrative leave after fatally shooting 18-year-old Michael Brown in Ferguson, where the incident has stoked racial tension, rallies and a night of looting.
Investigators have released few details, saying only that a scuffle unfolded after the officer asked Brown and another teen to get out of the street. At some point, the officer’s weapon fired inside a patrol car, police said.
“The local authorities have put themselves in a position — hiding names and not being transparent — where people will not trust anything but an objective investigation,” Sharpton said during a news conference in St. Louis where he was joined by Brown’s parents.
He also echoed pleas for peaceful protests by the NAACP and Brown’s father, Michael Brown Sr., who told the crowd: “I need all of us to come together and do this right. … No violence.”
