Of All People, Louie Gohmert Said Hillary Clinton is “Mentally Impaired” – Video

Remember when Donald Trump stood at a podium with cameras rolling and imitated a person with a disability? Republican Representative Louie Gohmert should have stood up at that time and denounced Trump, but he didn’t. Gohmert chose instead, to stand in front of a conservative group at the FRCAction convention to accuse Hillary Clinton of being “mentally impaired.” The Republican congressman said that Christians should not make fun of the disabled – setting up his punch line to say he wouldn’t make fun of Hillary Clinton.

Since most people are Christians, and I’m serious about this. A true believer does what Jesus does…did… and still does. But, you know, you don’t make fun of people who are impaired, has special needs. And whether you like her or not, Hillary Clinton has made clear she is mentally impaired and this is not somebody you should be making fun of.

The audience approvingly applauded.

Gohmert’s Office – Louie is Not Running For President Because of He is “Bald”

Last week, Republican Brain Louie Gohmert stunned the rest of the Republican party and caused much amusement among liberals when he hinted that he is interested in running for president in 2016. Speaking to The Hill, Gohmert was asked about his feelings on Ted Cruz and whether he will support Cruz’s run for President.

“Ted is a good friend and would be an outstanding president,” Gohmert said. Then he chimed in this little piece of nugget.”However, I haven’t ruled out an exploratory committee myself!”

Realizing that the Brain had once again stuffed his mouth with his right foot, Gohmert’s office quickly released this statement via email, informing the world that Gohmert was only joking about a possible run for president, and even if he wasn’t joking, the statement concludes that Gohmert’s baldness prevented him from running.

The Statement:

“Washington D.C. contains too many who do not recognize statements made with a figurative tongue in cheek, sometimes known as being ironic,” said an email from Gohmert’s office.

“To more completely describe his actual beliefs, Congressman Gohmert notes the Kennedy-Nixon debates created a line of demarcation beyond which television became the critical factor in being elected President which also meant there would be no more bald Presidents in his lifetime.”

Too bad. I was looking forward to a President Gomer in the White House!

OMG – Republican Brain Louie Gohmert May Run for President

First Ted Cruz, now this!

Mind blowing revelation straight out of Republican congressman Louie Gohmert. The joker in the pack is no doubt, Mr. Gohmert, but that is not stopping the Louie from talking openly about probably running for president in 2016!

The Hill reached out to Gohmert to ask if he would be supporting Ted Cruz‘s presidential campaign. Gohmert said, “Ted is a good friend and would be an outstanding President; however, I haven’t ruled out an exploratory committee myself.”

Gohmert mounted a campaign earlier this year against John Boehner to become the next Speaker of the House. He received three votes, but claimed afterwards that at one point they had enough votes to take down Boehner.

Republican Brain Louie Gohmert – “I think it’s time to bomb Iran”

And now a message from the Republican brain, Louie Gohmert.

On Thursday’s edition of Washington Warch, the Texas Republican told host Tony Perkins that “we need to encourage this administration to go take out Iran’s nuclear capability” instead of pursuing negotiations: “I think it’s time to bomb Iran.”

“We need to make clear to Iran: You can play these silly games with our president that buys into them and our secretary of state, but the American people aren’t buying it and you’re going to pay a price,” Gohmert said.

“I’m hoping and praying the president will realize, despite the agenda he has that has put Christians in jeopardy around the world, that he will not want to leave the Democratic Party so devastated that they won’t recover for many decades, that maybe he’ll start being more helpful to Israel instead of slapping them around as an unwelcomed visitor and start treating them like a friend. And maybe once he starts doing that he’ll realize we do need to bomb Iran’s nuclear facilities that we know of and anything that they move to fix, we bomb that as well.”

This guy reminds me of Gomer Pyle.

Report – Louie Gohmert Illegally Took Campaign Funds for Personal Use

I knew there was something about Gohmert that didn’t pass the mustard test. Besides being a Republican, it seems Gohmert might also a thief. The man allegedly stole campaign funds and used those funds to pay for a trip to England. Funds amounting to over $5400.00

Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington filed a complaint after Gohmert’s campaign listed expenses for a trip to London in November and December.

The lawmaker’s campaign reported that it spent $5,451.39 at the five-star Andaz Liverpool Street hotel, $396.12 at the Old Bank Hotel in Oxford, and $234.54 for a taxi ride in Cambridgeshire.

Gohmert held speaking engagements while in England with the Cambridge Union Society, the Rothermere American Institute, the Federalist and Henry Jackson Societies, and a joint group from the U.K. House of Lords and House of Commons.

None of those events were related to campaign activities, CREW said in its complaint to the Office of Congressional Ethics.

“Rep. Gohmert’s legendary tirades may put him in high demand for public speaking engagements, but that doesn’t give him license to bill a luxury London vacation to his campaign,” said Anne Weismann, CREW’s interim executive director. “The congressman can’t credibly claim that speeches made to those who can’t vote for him served the purpose of getting him reelected.”

Poll: Republicans are Unhappy With House Speaker John Boehner

Maybe that’s why the Republican dunce, Louie Gohmert is challenging Boehner for the House Speakership position!

The national survey of more than 600 Republican voters found a majority wary of embracing incumbent House Speaker John Boehner of Ohio and incoming Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky. (Full results at the end of this story.)

Boehner, who will face a challenge from members of his own party in Tuesday’s speaker vote, fares worse than McConnell in the poll. Sixty percent of Republican voters say they want someone new rather than Boehner.

Only 25 percent of voters favor putting Boehner and McConnell in leadership positions. Even fewer—16 percent—want both Boehner and McConnell to serve in the House and Senate’s top jobs. According to the poll, 53 percent want neither or would prefer to see new party leadership.

Louie Gohmert Challenges John Boehner for Speaker of the House

Republican Louie Gohmert,  the man who might easily be the dumbest person in Washington now that Michele Bachmann has hit the road jack, Gohmert has announced that he will challenge John Boehner for the House Speaker position.

He got immediate support from Sean Hannity, the influential talk radio star and Fox News Channel host who Tweeted his reaction: “Your Buddy, Veteran, great American Louie Gohmert challenging Boehner for Speaker of the House! YES! I support Louie!”

“After the November elections gave Republicans control of the Senate, voters made clear they wanted change,” Gohmert said in a statement today. “There have been numerous examples of problematic Republican leadership, but we were hopeful our leaders got the voters’ message. However, after our speaker forced through the Cromnibus by passing it with Democratic votes and without time to read it, it seemed clear that we needed new leadership. There had been much discussion. But, until yesterday, no one had stepped up.”

Jon Stewart – No Hope for Democrats in Texas – “Poor Bastards!”

Jon Stewart looked at the political system in Texas and admitted a truth that Democrats refuse to see – Texas is not turning blue, “it is as red as red can red!”

In a recent segment on his Daily Show, Stewart spoke about Louie Gohmert and his lack of basic knowledge or common sense on any issue. And he spoke about the ultra conservative Greg Abbott who currently holds a 20 point lead in the polls over his Democratic challenger Wendy and Abbott’s running mate David Dan Patrick, who is up by 17 points over his Democratic challenger, Sen. Leticia Van de Putte. Stewart concluded that if the likes of Gohmert and Abbott are succeeding in Texas, then there is clearly no hope for Democrats.

“You poor bastards,” Stewart told his live audience in Austin. “Democrats in Texas are like the drunk guy at the bar who won’t stop hitting on a girl, even though we know she’s a lesbian; ‘no, no, no, dude, trust me. I can flip her, I just need time.’”

Nut Boy Louis Gohmert Wants Attorney General Eric Holder Arrested

Louie Gohmert is a nut! A very nutty nut. And that’s the only reason he was elected to Congress, because his base – The Teaparty – loves nutty nuts!

Gohmert has said and done some nutty things too, and right up there with the rest of them is his nutty call to Congress to arrest the Attorney General,  Eric Holder.

In an interview on Friday with the Family Research Council’s Washington Watch, Gohmert, the brainchild of the Republican party called for Holder’s arrest.

“When you have someone like an attorney general who is in contempt of Congress, what can we do? Someone in contempt of Congress comes waltzing into the House chamber and he’s in contempt of Congress as found by the Congress, what can be done? I was told that actually you can pass a resolution directing the sergeant at arms to detain anyone who is in contempt of Congress until such time as they comply with the requirement that put him in contempt. In this case, they didn’t provide information from the Justice Department, they had it, they refused to provide it, we found him in contempt.”

It remains to be seen if Congressional Republicans will heed Gohmert call. After all, they are a leaderless group and anyone with something to say, no matter how nutty, gets airtime. Watch this space.

Eric Holder Blasts Louis Gohmert – “Good Luck With the Asperges”

There are many stupid people in politics, we’ll call them congressional Republicans. But if there is an individual award for that dubious distinction, then Michele Bachmann will no longer be the undisputed champion.

Louis Gohmert – a Republican representative from Texas and a man John McCain correctly said has no intelligence, would most definitely get the award.

For whatever reason, Gohmert thinks he can match wits with the United States Attorney General, Eric Holder. In previous hearings, Gohmert stupidly picked a fight with the attorney general and got his assparagus handed to him.

Huh, you didn’t know about the asparagus?

Back in May 2013, during a House Judiciary hearing, Louie had the masterful idea that he would accuse the attorney general of not doing everything possible to stop the Boston Bombing. Eric Holder slammed Gohmert, informing him that he, as a representative, is not privy to what’s going on in the Justice Department, so making such a dumb accusation was in fact, dumb.

Said Holder;

“You don’t know what the FBI did. You don’t know what the FBI’s interaction was with the Russians. You don’t know what questions were put to the Russians, whether those questions were responded to. You simply do not know that. And you have characterized the FBI as being not thorough, or taken exception to my characterization of them as being thorough. I know what the FBI did. You cannot know what I know. That is all.”

After that smack down, Gohmert tried to respond, but his time was up. He managed however, to squeeze in the now infamous phrase, that the attorney general was apparently doing something to his asparagus.

I cannot have a witness challenge my character! The attorney general will not cast aspersions on my asparagus!”

And now Tuesday. Another hearing, same ole Louie Gohmert. This time, Gohmert accused Holder of not providing documents he requested. Holder was having none of Gohmert’s nonsense today, and quickly shot down the representative.

ERIC HOLDER: You don’t want to go there, buddy. You don’t want to go there, okay?

GOHMERT: I don’t want to go there?

HOLDER: No.

GOHMERT: About the contempt?

HOLDER: You should not assume that that is not a big deal to me. I think that it was inappropriate. I think it was unjust, but never think that that was not a big deal to me. Don’t ever think that.

GOHMERT: Well I’m just looking for evidence, and normally we’re known by our fruits, and there have been no indications that it was a big deal, because your department has still not been forthcoming in producing the documents that were the subject of the contempt.

HOLDER: The documents that we were prepared to make available then, we’re prepared to make available now that would have obviated the whole need. This was all about the gun lobby and a desire to have a —

GOHMERT: Sir, we’ve been trying to get to the bottom of Fast and Furious where people died, where at least a couple hundred Mexicans died, and we can’t get the information to get to the bottom of that, so I don’t need lectures from you about contempt, because it is very difficult to deal with asking questions.

HOLDER: And I don’t need lectures from you either.

GOHMERT: As a former judge, I’d never have asked questions of someone who’s been held in contempt. We waited ‘til the contempt was purged, and then we asked questions.

In ending the back and forth, Holder cane back with, “good luck with the asparagus.”

It was classic!

Louie Gohmert is “Shocked” That Corporations Can’t Have Religious Beliefs

Rep.Louie Gohmert, the Texas Republican Representative said that he was ‘shocked’ to learn that Corporations can’t have religious beliefs and be allowed to deny women the right to contraceptives.

“This is a Justice Department that has indicted corporations for forming intent to commit a crime,” the former Texas judge said. “Well, Tony, if you can as a corporation through your directors and officers, form the intent to commit a crime, then you can certainly, through your officers and directors form an intent to have religious beliefs.”

“And if every one of your directors and officers has the same exact religious beliefs, whether your Amish and have formed a corporation or any other religious group — Quakers or whatever the group is — certainly a corporation can, if they can have intent as the Justice Department repeatedly proves in court, then they can certainly have religious beliefs.”

John McCain on Louie Gohmert – He Has “No Intelligence!”

Sen John McCain of Arizona has been adamant, strongly voicing his disagreement on his fellow Republicans and the way they shut down the government. I cannot remember him ever calling Louie Gohmert by name, but for some strange reason, Gohmert went to the Values Voters Summit and attacked McCain.

Said Gohmert;

“Some senator from Arizona, a guy that liked Qaddafi before he wanted to bomb him, a guy that liked Mubarak before he wanted him out, a guy that’s been to Syria and supported al-Qaeda and rebels, but he was saying today the shutdown is a fool’s errand.”

You know McCain was not going to just sit back and let that one fly. In an interview with Brian Williams of NBC News, McCain swung back when he was asked about Gohmert’s statement.

“Sometimes those–comments like that are made out of malice, but if someone has no intelligence I don’t view it as being a malicious statement.”

When McCain was through calling Gohmert a dumb doorknob, he then said, “I intend to maintain civility!” LOL!

Consider yourself fortunate folks. You have a front row seat to witness the dismantling of today’s Republican party
