Republican Senator Mike Lee Begs Donald Trump to “Step Down!” – Video

Senator Mike Lee took to Facebook to beg and plead Donald Trump to step down and “allow someone else to carry the banner.”

“I respectfully ask you, with all due respect, to step aside,” Lee begged. “Step down, allow someone else to carry the banner of these principles… rather than weighing down the American people.”

“As [Republicans] been asked to settle, we’ve been given a huge series of distractions. With all due respect, sir, you are the distraction. Your conduct, sir, is the distraction.”

Trump Supporter Sen. Kelly Ayotte is NO LONGER Supporting Donald Trump

And the avalanche continues. Republicans who lost their respect when they endorsed Donald Trump is once again gaining some respect by un-endorsing him. The latest to join the ranks of ex-Trump supporters is Republican Senator, Kelly Ayotte.

Ayotte took to Twitter to express her displeasure with the Republican nominee, after the news and audio of a 2005 recording where Donald Trump talked happily about forcing himself on women and groping them.

Senator Harry Reid – Donald Trump “Raped and Pillaged Atlantic City”

Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) has never been one to mince his words. In a conference call with reporters on Thursday, Reid let loose on the Republican’s choice to run the country, telling reporters that Trump “raped and pillaged Atlantic City.”

“Nothing is embarrassing to him,” Reid said on the call as quoted by Business Insider. He went on to double down on his criticism of Trump’s mispronunciation of “Nevada” at a rally in Reno. “If Trump doesn’t know how to pronounce the name of our state, how would Nevadans expect him to look out for our state?”

Reid also called Trump a “fraud” who “thinks he’s above the requirement of being candid with the American people” for refusing to release his tax returns.

“He raped and pillaged Atlantic City,” Reid said, referring to Trump’s bankruptcy filings for his casino holdings in New Jersey. “Who knows what his tax returns would show?”

7-Year-Old Girl With Disabilities Heckled at Trump Rally

Yep! Trump and his supporters just figured out a way to dive even lower in the gutter! They not only picked on a little girl, but a little girl with disabilities. She couldn’t escape their wrath.

A Colorado woman says she was disappointed to be escorted away from Donald Trump’s rally in Loveland Monday by U.S. Secret Service.

Jennifer Mau and her 7-year-old daughter, who has disabilities, say they attended the rally as an undecided family, wanting to know more about the Republican candidate for president.

Her daughter was born without a jaw bone or ears and receives her nutrients from a feeding tube.

Amid the rally, however, Mau decided to leave with her daughter. Mau said that drew the ire of those surrounding her.

When we were leaving, somebody said, ‘Why are you leaving?’ and basically struck a nerve,” Mau said. “I said, ‘Why are you here? He makes fun of people like you.'”

Several people yelled at her – one followed her, telling her if she loved her daughter she should vote for Trump — until she said Secret Service escorted her out of the rally.

Mau said she was saddened to be harassed for standing up for her daughter with disabilities, but she said she was happy to see some people walk out with her, saying her daughter is beautiful.

So Mike Pence Won Because he “Looked Presidential?” Give Me a Break

As soon as the vice-presidential debate ended, MSNBC’s Chris Matthews called the debate for Republican vice-presidential candidate, Mike Pence. His reasoning made me sick to my stomach, so I changed the channel to see what CNN had to say and they too stated that Pence won.

I sat there shocked, totally amazed at the power of the media and the way this debate was spun to make the American people accept a Pence win.

The Spin? “Mike Pence looked more presidential.”

That’s all. That’s all the political pundits had to say about Pence after the debate was over. That’s all they wanted to see to decide who won the debate. A total disregard to the fact that Mike Pence was unable to prosecute the case for why Americans should put the Trump ticket in the White House.

Pence sat at the debate table and lied, and lied, and lied. He denied recorded facts about things Trump has said – things like banning all Muslims from coming into this country or when Trump called all Mexicans “rapers and killers.” Pence sat in his chair “looking all presidential” according to the talking-heads on MSNBC and CNN, and he lied to the American people when he was put on the spot by the Democratic vice president candidate, Tim Kaine. When Kaine asked why Trump calls women disparaging names for example, Pence looked the right into the camera and denied those recorded facts.

But he “looked presidential” so apparently, he won… according to the political talking heads.

Time Kaine on the other hand did his homework and it showed. He came to the debate armed with direct verbiage, quotes from Donald Trump and Mike Pence himself, and Kaine asked Pence to defend the things he and Trump say. Pence couldn’t, so he lied… again! Yes, Kaine interrupted Pence a few times, but wouldn’t you do the same if your opponent’s game plan was to “look presidential” and lie?

Americans know the game. Tim Kaine clearly won the debate. He was prepared, armed with facts and policies and he clearly expressed why Hillary Clinton should be the next president. But giving Kaine the win would not jive with the apparent talking point these pundits wanted to promote – that Mike Pence threw Donald Trump under the bus and is preparing himself for a top-of-the-ticket run in four years.

If all the pundits say this in unison, word will eventually get back to Donald Trump setting up the news for the rest of the week –  the inevitable credit Trump will take for Pence winning the VP debate.

And less than 24 hours after Pence was crowned the winner, Donald Trump spoke to his followers telling them that he deserves the credit.

“Mike Pence did an incredible job and I’m getting a lot of credit because that’s really my first so-called choice,”

“That was my first hire as we would say in Las Vegas, And I’ll tell you, he was phenomenal. He was cool, he was smart. He was meant to be doing what he’s doing and we’re very, very proud of Gov. Mike Pence.”

Hillary Clinton Answers 15-Year Old Girl’s Question on Trump’s Sexist Remarks

The question drew much applause from those in attendance in Pennsylvania where Hillary Clinton held a town-hall, and excited the Democratic presidential nominee, Based on her question, the 15-year-old girl at the microphone had obviously seen and heard some of the things Donald Trump said about women, and she compared those degrading statements to the those other girls in her school go through.

She wanted to know how girls should handle such sexist attacks.

“At my school, body image s a really big issue for girls my age. I see with my own eyes what Donald Trump does when he talks about women and how they look. As the first female president, how would you undo some of that damage and help girls understand they are so much more than what they look?”

After the question was asked, Clinton thanked the girl for asking that question before answering,

“My opponent has just taken this concern to a new level,” she continued. “Think about it, my opponent insulted Miss Universe. How do you get more acclaimed than that?”

Clinton said that women cannot take Trump’s comments seriously anymore.

“We need to laugh at it, we need to refute it, we need to ignore it and stand up to it, and especially the bullying,” Clinton said. “There are too many young women online who are being bullied about how they look and being shamed and mistreated.”

Donald Trump Suggests Vets “Can’t Handle” Toll of Combat

Walked past a Donald Trump building in Manhattan today and saw a bunch of protesters holding signs in support of veterans. I thought, the donald must have pissed off yet another group of Americans. I came and checked online only to find that Trump had some rather disheartening things to say about America’s Vets!

Donald Trump on Monday suggested veterans with PTSD “can’t handle” the psychological toll of combat. The Republican nominee — who benefitted from four deferments from the draft during the Vietnam War — was apparently trying to convey sympathy for veterans with PTSD, but tripped over his own faux-machismo.

Asked by an audience member if he’d support a “more holistic approach to solve the problems of veteran suicide and PTSD,” Trump responded that “a lot of people can’t handle it (combat), and they see horror stories, they see events that you couldn’t see in a movie, nobody would believe it.”

“When people come back from war and combat and they see maybe what the people in this room have seen many times over, and you’re strong and you can handle it,” he told the audience of veterans at a town hall-style event in Virginia hosted by the Retired American Warriors PAC. “We need … mental health help and medical.”

Trump Foundation Ordered to Stop Fundraising IMMEDIATELY

I mean, Donald Trump brags all the time about how rich he is… billions of dollars he claims he owns. If that is truly the case – and a lot of people say it isn’t –  why has he turned to small donors to fuel his failing campaign? And if donors are asked to send their last $20.00 to the Republican candidate for president, why isn’t Donald Trump following the necessary laws to accept such donations?

Although Trump is floating high in his Republican circles he is not above the law. And New York’s attorney general is assisting in his crash back to earth.

The state’s attorney general has notified Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump that his charitable foundation is violating New York law because it does not have the proper certification to solicit donations, The Washington Post first reported.

James Sheehan, head of the attorney general’s charities bureau, sent the notice to the foundation on Friday.

The notice follows a story that The Washington Post published last week that showed the foundation had been soliciting donations without being properly registered in New York state.

The Trump campaign released a statement on Monday following the attorney general’s announcement that questioned the “political motives” behind the investigation into the foundation.

“While we remain very concerned about the political motives behind AG [Eric] Schneiderman’s investigation, the Trump Foundation nevertheless intends to cooperate fully with the investigation,” Hope Hicks, the campaign’s spokeswoman, said in a statement.

Hillary Clinton Now Leads Trump by 7 Points Nationally

Politico reports that Hillary Clinton has opened up a six-point lead over Donald Trump, erasing the New York billionaire’s slim national edge with five weeks until Election Day, according to a new POLITICO/Morning Consult poll of likely voters.

Clinton leads Trump 42-36 in the four-way race for the White House. Gary Johnson garnered 9 percent, Jill Stein got 2 percent and 10 percent remain undecided. It’s a dramatic bump for Clinton: Trump led by one point before the debate, and in a POLITICO/Morning Consult survey conducted immediately after the debate, Clinton led by four points.
Story Continued Below

In a head-to-head race between Trump and Clinton, Clinton leads by seven points, 46 percent to 39 percent.
Clinton’s lead comes at the tail end of a particularly tough week for Trump. His debate performance was uneven and widely panned by Republicans and Democrats alike. He then spent a few days chiding Alicia Machado, a former Miss Universe, for gaining weight nearly two decades ago.

POLL: Donald Trump Receives 0 percent Support in Detroit

So what does this mean for Detroit? Well, if Trump wins the White House – and all credible signs show that this is highly unlikely – he might just nuke the city for giving him zero percent in this poll. After all, he is “a small-minded, little man who holds grudges,” according to what I’ve heard.

Poll data shows Clinton holds a significant advantage over Trump among African-American voters, and among Detroit voters. Trump leads Clinton in Macomb County and in northern Michigan, including the UP.

Trump’s 0 percent support in Detroit isn’t unprecedented. The Republican candidate polled 0 percent among African-American voters in Pennsylvania and Ohio over the summer, according to an NBC poll.

In the Detroit poll, there are important caveats to the data. While the poll surveyed 600 likely voters across Michigan — a large enough sample size to get meaningful data — just 39 people were surveyed in the city of Detroit. The smaller sample size in the city increases the margin of error, and there’s almost certainly people living in Detroit who will vote for Trump in November. The survey found 7.7 percent of voters were “undecided”

The current data, however, suggests Clinton has an overwhelming advantage in the city. She polled at 89.7 percent support in Detroit.

Along with undecideds, Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson’s 2.6 percent support made up the rest of the support in the city. Like Trump, Green Party candidate Jill Stein received 0 percent support in Detroit.

USA Today Endorses Clinton – “Whatever You Do, Do Not Vote for Trump”

Another Republican leaning publication went against the Republican nominee for president, urging its readers to not only vote for Clinton, but to avoid the Trump at all costs, someone the publication refers to as a “dangerous demagogue.”

The editorial board unanimously found Trump “unfit for the presidency” and the editorial, published Thursday, goes on to list the reasons why, among them: his “erratic” behavior and his “checkered” business past.

The anti-Trump sentiment does not translate into an enthusiastic Clinton endorsement. The piece notes that although some editorial board members admire her record, others have “serious reservations about Clinton’s sense of entitlement, her lack of candor and her extreme carelessness in handling classified information.”

The editorial urges readers to follow their convictions, whether that means voting for Clinton, a third-party candidate, a write-in or by focusing on down-ticket races.

The piece ends on an unequivocal note.

“Whatever you do, however, resist the siren song of a dangerous demagogue. By all means vote, just not for Donald Trump.”

Leading Economist on Trump’s Trade Talk – “He Was Talking Absolute Garbage”

World renowned economist Paul Krugman is definitely not a fan of foolishness, so needless to say, he cannot stand Donald Trump. That said, Krugman evaluated the economic/trade aspect of Monday night’s debate and Krugman concluded that Donald Trump was talking nothing but garbage when he talked down the US economy.

There were specifics: China is “devaluing” (not so — it was holding down the yuan five years ago, but these days it’s intervening to keep the yuan up, not down.) There was this, on Mexico:

Let me give you the example of Mexico. They have a VAT tax. We’re on a different system. When we sell into Mexico, there’s a tax. When they sell in — automatic, 16 percent, approximately. When they sell into us, there’s no tax. It’s a defective agreement. It’s been defective for a long time, many years, but the politicians haven’t done anything about it.

Gah. A VAT is basically a sales tax. It is levied on both domestic and imported goods, so that it doesn’t protect against imports — which is why it’s allowed under international trade rules, and not considered a protectionist trade policy. I get that Trump is not an economist — hoo boy, is he not an economist — but this is one of his signature issues, so you might have expected him to learn a few facts.

More broadly, Trump’s whole view on trade is that other people are taking advantage of us — that it’s all about dominance, and that we’re weak. And even if you think we’ve pushed globalization too far, even if you are worried about the effects of trade on income distribution, that’s just a foolish way to think about the problem.

So don’t score Trump as somehow winning on trade. Yes, he blustered more confidently on that subject than on anything else. But he was talking absolute garbage even there.
