Republican Senator Mike Lee Begs Donald Trump to “Step Down!” – Video

Senator Mike Lee took to Facebook to beg and plead Donald Trump to step down and “allow someone else to carry the banner.”

“I respectfully ask you, with all due respect, to step aside,” Lee begged. “Step down, allow someone else to carry the banner of these principles… rather than weighing down the American people.”

“As [Republicans] been asked to settle, we’ve been given a huge series of distractions. With all due respect, sir, you are the distraction. Your conduct, sir, is the distraction.”

After Being Wrongfully Blamed By Republicans, Susan Rice Withdraws Her Name

Thanks to the lies of Fox News and the Republicans in Congress, one of the most qualified people ever to be considered for Secretary of State has withdraw her name from consideration. Susan Rice, whose only fault was repeating the official talking points regarding the attack in Benghazi, has decided that the confirmation process is “simply not worth it.”

Susan Rice, the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations who drew heavy criticism from Republicans over her statements after the September attacks on a U.S. diplomatic mission, withdrew her name from consideration for secretary of state on Thursday.

In a letter to President Barack Obama, she said “the confirmation process would be lengthy, disruptive, and costly — to you and to our most pressing national and international priorities. That trade-off is simply not worth it to our country.”

Obama acknowledged her letter in a statement that described her as “an extraordinarily capable, patriotic, and passionate public servant.”

She was thought to be a frontrunner for the post, which Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said she would vacate as soon as a successor is confirmed.

The Muslim Brotherhood Wants To “Dissolve” Israel’s Peace Treaty

Shocking turn of events in the Egypt uprising. Eli Lakes of the Washington Times reports on an interview in which a leader of the Muslim Brotherhood calls for the withdrawal of Egypt’s peace treaty with Israel.

A political leader of Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood Thursday called on any government that replaces Hosni Mubarak’s regime to withdraw from the 32-year-old peace treaty with Israel.

“After President Mubarak steps down and a provisional government is formed, there is a need to dissolve the peace treaty with Israel,” Rashad al-Bayoumi, a deputy leader of the outlawed movement, said on Japan’s NHTV.

The interview contrasted with earlier signals from the group. On Feb. 1, Mahmoud Ezzat, a spokesman for the brothers, told CBS News that his organization “will respect the peace treaty with Israel as long as Israel shows real progress on improving the lot of the Palestinians.”

In the past, Muslim Brotherhood leaders have supported the Palestinian branch of the brotherhood, Hamas, that rejects any negotiations with Israel and pledges to destroy the Jewish state.

The Muslim Brotherhood is the world’s largest, most influential Islamic group. It was formed in Egypt in 1928 their stated primary goal include reinstatement of the caliphate and reunite the “dar el Islam” (Countries where Muslims are free to practice their religion).

Although they preach non-violence, The Brotherhood is believed to be the group behind previous attacks in Egypt, and the assassination of Mahmoud an-Nukrashi Pasha, the Egyptian Prime Minister in 1948 and the president of Egypt in 1981.
