Oh, so that’s why the Republican presidential nominee say the things he say. Apparently the apple really doesn’t fall too far from the tree.
Month: October 2016
It’s now become the calling card of the Republican presidential candidate to say the entire election process is “rigged.” The same process that took a “new-comer”, “outsider”, “non-political businessman” from his mansion in Manhattan and turned him into a presidential candidate, is now all of a sudden, “rigged!” That rigged system allowed Donald Trump to beat almost 20 seasoned Republican politicians in the nomination process, but now that Trump is behind in all the credible polls in the general election, he and his campaign are crying foul!
According to Trump at a recent campaign event, the system can correct itself if it turns around and works in Trump’s favor again. Trump suggested that he might be hurting himself by saying the system is rigged, because if his supporters show up and vote multiple times for him to win, well, that will be just fine.
During a Saturday campaign stop in Cleveland, Ohio, Donald Trump doubled down on recent claims that the entire election is rigged, including what he baselessly argues is widespread voter fraud against him. In almost the same breath, he jokingly insinuated that his supporters could commit voter fraud to help him win, by illegally casting ballots in several locations.
“Maybe they’ll vote for Trump, I don’t know, maybe I shouldn’t be saying that,” he said, shrugging and egging the crowd on. “I may be hurting myself, you’re right. You’re right. Maybe they’re going to vote for Trump. All right, let’s forget that. It’s okay for them to do it.”
The statement came as Trump accused Democrats of relying on votes of undocumented immigrants and dead people. There is no evidence to suggest that either constituency turns up to the polls and votes on election day.
If given a chance, Donald Trump wants to change the US Constitution. He wants to have a different system than the First Amendment, a system that would give him a better chance at winning a lawsuit against the press.
In a recent interview, Trump was asked if he thought the press was too protected. Trump answered;
“Our press is allowed to say whatever they want and get away with it. And I think we should go to a system where if they do something wrong… I’m a big believer tremendous believer of the freedom of the press. Nobody believes it stronger than me but if they make terrible, terrible mistakes and those mistakes are made on purpose to injure people. I’m not just talking about me I’m talking anybody else then yes, I think you should have the ability to sue them.”
Maybe a Russia or China type government controlled media would be more appealing to Donald Trump. The government telling the media what to say on television and what to write in their publication just seems to fit the model of a Trump presidency.

I don’t know. Maybe he’s had a change of heart. Maybe his heart changed for the worse when he decided to become a Republican. But in an interview released by CNN, Trump is heard saying that he is perfectly fine with productive undocumented people remaining in the United States. Of course now he’s trying to organize a “Deportation Force” to get rid of “all illegals.”
“You know my views on it and I’m not necessarily, I think I’m probably down the middle on that also,” Trump said, according to CNN. “Because I also understand how, as an example, you have people in this country for 20 years, they’ve done a great job, they’ve done wonderfully, they’ve gone to school, they’ve gotten good marks, they’re productive — now we’re supposed to send them out of the country, I don’t believe in that, Michelle, and you understand that. I don’t believe in a lot things that are being said.”
It’s Sean Hannity. He works at Fox News, so nothing he says should be taken seriously.
That said, Hannity attacked Obama in 2008 after news broke that the church Obama attended gave an award to Farrakhan. Hannity concluded that there was an obvious association between Obama and Farrakhan, and the “racism and anti-Semitism” Farrakhan exhibited extended to Obama.
But that was then, this is now. Now that Hannity learned that Farrakhan said some nice things about Donald Trump, Hannity has had a change of heart.
“I’ve always wanted to meet Farrakhan, Hannity said early Thursday morning after commentator Larry Elder said Farrakhan “has said positive things” about Donald Trump.
“I listened to hours and hours of his speeches. He’s mesmerizing. He’s an unbelievable orator,” Hannity continued.
“What he says about individual responsibility and morality and being fathers and starting businesses is brilliant. Then he adds the racism and the anti-Semitism. If you took that away, this guy could have been such a powerful force in his life, but unfortunately his legacy is one of racism and anti-Semitism.”
During the 2008 presidential election, and for many years afterwards, Hannity pegged Farrakhan as concrete proof that Obama was anti-Semitic and racist against white people. The church Obama attended in Chicago, led by Pastor Jeremiah Wright, had given an award to Farrakhan, a leader in the Nation of Islam and author of occasionally hateful tomes. Hannity often failed to mention Obama’s frequent denouncements of Farrakhan in favor of attempting to associate him directly with Farrakhan’s message.
I said it right after the last episode in Season 6 aired. I listened to him talk and based on the things he said I knew he was the one. He was talking about settling down and having children with his new love, Sasha. So when Rick’s group was captured and it became apparent that someone would not make it to the next episode, I immediately said that Abraham was the one who saw his demise at the hand of Negan.
But Glenn? I had no clue. I do not follow the comics simply because I want to be surprise, angered, sad when I watch the show. So seeing Glenn meet Lucille – Negan’s barbed-wire baseball bat – was surprising, shocking and sad.
So yes, Glenn and Abraham died viciously in tonight’s episode of The Walking Dead.
Negan. I really don’t like this man and I didn’t know the gravity of my hate for him until I saw how he went about getting Rick to come to terms with the fact that Negan was now in charge.
After he brutally killed Glenn and Abraham, Rick looked Negan in the eyes and told him, “I’m gonna kill you.” Negan, challenged in front of his entire crew, could not have that. So he went about the process of breaking Rick, breaking him to the point where Rick had absolutely no choice but to accept. How did Negative win Rick over? By trying to get Rick to chop off his son’s arm with the promise of killing the rest of Rick’s crew if he refused.
At that point, I felt a whole new level of hate for the Negan.
Season 7 episode 1 turned out to be extreme and emotionally draining. There were tears flowing in my little group and I bet the same was true all over this nation. Tonight we said goodbye to two of the show’s favorite characters. I take solace in knowing that Negan will get what’s coming to him, I’m patiently waiting…
After giving birth to her second child and thanking well wishers, the ‘Scandal’ star took to twitter to “rant” about the recent police killing of Deborah Danner, the 66-year-old woman with schizophrenia, killed by a New York police officer.
“It’s a quiet Saturday afternoon. So, a few things I wanna get off my chest…,” she started. “I saw all your very kind & thoughtful congratulatory tweets. So yeah we thank you. Xo”
The “Scandal” actress also addressed the death of Danner in the Bronx, where Washington grew up.
“Also the loss of #DeborahDanner has rattled my core. Not only becuz of painful truth that we must continue to affirm that #BlackLivesMatter,” she tweeted. “But also becuz #DeborahDanner was killed in the community where I was raised. Community filled w/people I know & love. So when I #sayhername.”
Washington continued, “My heart aches. For lives lost and for the lives we must protect. For the humanity we must work to illuminate and preserve and affirm. #BLM.”
The actress ended her self-described “rant” by encouraging her Twitter followers to check out “Moonlight,” a film released Friday that centers on the story of a young black man in Miami coming to terms with his sexual identity.
“It is artful food for your soul,” Washington said. “At a time when so many of us need to be lovingly nourished.”
She concluded her series of tweets with: “End of rant XOXOXOXOX.”
Showing her support for Rams’s Quarterback, Colin Kaepernick – who has been on a personal protest against racism among police officers against the black community by kneeling on one knee during the national anthem – singer, Denasia Lawrence, followed in Kaepernick’s footsteps and took a knee during her rendition of the National Anthem.
The singer sang the anthem before an NBA preseason game between the Miami Heat and the Philadelphia 76ers.
“We’re being unjustly killed and overly criminalized,” Lawrence wrote. “I took the opportunity to sing and kneel to show that we belong in this country and that we have the right to respectfully protest injustices against us.”

Former Red Sox pitcher, Curt Schilling, recently fired from ESPN and a strong supporter of Donald Trump, is joining the conservative online publication, Breitbart.
On Monday, Breitbart plans to announce former Red Sox pitcher and Trump supporter Curt Schilling will begin hosting a daily online radio show featuring political commentary and calls from listeners. The broadcast will eventually include a video livestream. The show marks Schilling’s return to media six months after ESPN fired him for sharing an anti-transgender Facebook post with a message that read: “A man is a man no matter what they call themselves. I don’t care what they are, who they sleep with, men’s room was designed for the penis, women’s not so much. Now you need laws telling us differently? Pathetic.”
“He got kicked off ESPN for his conservative views. He’s a really talented broadcaster,” Breitbart editor in chief Alex Marlow said.
Their hate is real and it knows no boundaries.
The historical sign marking where Emmett Till’s body was found in the Tallahatchie River in 1955 has been riddled with bullets.
Since the Emmett Till Memorial Commission put up eight markers in Tallahatchie County in 2008, the sign near the river has been a repeated target of vandals.
It’s one of a number of civil rights markers and symbols that have been vandalized in Mississippi over the past decade.
“These are easy targets, a low-risk outlet for racism,” said Dave Tell, an associate professor at the University of Kansas who is part of the Emmett Till Memory Project.
Some people mistakenly see “civil rights monuments as a form of reverse discrimination, a threat to their own well-being,” he said.
On Sept. 23, 1955, an all-white, all-male jury acquitted half-brothers Roy Bryant and J.W. Milam of Till’s murder.
Months later, the two men confessed to Look magazine they had indeed killed Till.
