It’s coming…
Year: 2015
The New York Police Department has come up with a new rule to govern prisoners who object to having their pictures taken by a member of the opposite sex, or who refuse to remove their head covers.
The policy change, which applies to men and women of all faiths, was sparked by a concern by Muslim women who say it’s against their religion to remove their hijab in front of men.
“This was just a really difficult process for them to go through,” said Susan Herman, deputy commissioner for collaborative policing, “and they wondered whether there was anything that could be done to change it and to accommodate their concerns.
“We came up with a policy that can be more broadly applied to anyone who has a religious head covering who desires to have their photograph taken by a member of the same gender.”
Under the new rule, those who will only remove their head covering in private or insist on the photo being taken by a member of the same sex will be taken to 1 Police Plaza, where there are more female photographers, and space for pictures to be taken in private.
The NYPD requires a mug shot be taken both with and without any head covering worn by the suspect. The picture must provide an unobstructed view of the head, ears and face.
There is a video of the actual police shooting of 17-year old Laquan McDonald in Chicago last October, but the video is not being released at this point because of an active investigation. According to the police report, the officer who pulled the trigger “was scared for his life” and shot the teenager in his chest.
But a coroner’s report showed that Laquan was not just shot in the chest, he was also shot in the leg, in his arm, in his head, in his back. A total of 16 bullets riddled the teenager’s body, a shooting that took 16 seconds to complete.
Yes, the shooting officer made it back home to his family in one piece and Chicago is cutting a $5 million check for Laquan’s family.
I wonder why?

Ted Cruz is the same Republican who organized the last shutdown of the American government, a move that cost this country $24 billion according to Standard & Poor’s. Standard and Poor’s also said the shutdown equaled $1.5 billion a day for the 16 days shutdown the doors to some government agencies stayed shut. If the shutdown had continued, as Ted Cruz clearly wanted it to, America would be no more.
Cruz’s daddy – who had no criticism about his son’s government shutdown – is now all of a sudden saying “you might as well kiss this country goodbye” if Hillary Clinton is elected in 2016. Again, this man had nothing do say when his son cost this country $24 billion!
Speaking to a Teaparty group in Georgia, Rafael Cruz said,“If we did it then, you bet we can do it again. And let me tell you, if we have someone like Hillary Clinton elected in 2016, you might as well kiss this country goodbye, this country’s gone. We are fighting for the survival of America.”
Again, this man had nothing to say about the destruction of America when his son shut down the government and cost the nation $24 billion in 16 days!
Eric Holder, the current Attorney General, has already said he wants to leave the post, and over 160 days ago, the president nominated his successor. But Republicans, branded “the party of NO,” apparently see political benefits in refusing to confirm the new Attorney General, so Sharpton along with female civil-rights leaders are trying to put pressure on Senate leader Mitch McConnell with a hunger strike.
“As long as the Senate refuses to take fifteen minutes to confirm someone for Attorney General that they have already confirmed twice for U.S. Attorney,” National Action Network and its allies “will do everything in our power to draw attention to this completely unfair and unnecessary delay to vote to confirm Loretta Lynch,” Sharpton, who founded NAN, said in a statement Wednesday.
The group’s executive director, Janaye Ingram, added: “We stand with Loretta Lynch and are so in support of this cause that we are willing to sacrifice our daily meals to impress upon the U.S. Senate that it’s time to call a vote.”
The hunger strike is part of a broader public pressure campaign for Republican leaders to quickly hold a confirmation vote for Lynch, who has been stuck in a nomination purgatory ever since she cleared the Judiciary Committee in late February. Lynch, the current U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of New York, would be the first black woman to serve as the nation’s top law enforcement official.
Republican Representative Peter King does not hide he feelings well, especially when it comes to his fellow Republican, Senator Ted Cruz.
Earlier this week, King went on CNN to discuss, among other things, Senator Cruz and his wish to be the next Republican presidential nominee. Asked by Wolf Blitzer if he can support Cruz for president, King replied, “I hope that day never comes. I will jump off that bridge when we come to it.”
“You’re leaving open that possibility after you said what you said?” Blitzer asked.
“It’d be very difficult,” King responded. “Maybe he can go on the road to Damascus, he can have a complete conversion. But the way it is right now, it’d be very difficult to support Ted Cruz.”
King appeared on Blitzer’s show after releasing a statement calling the Texas Tea Party favorite a “carnival barker.” Cruz announced early Monday morning that he was officially entering the 2016 presidential race.
“Ted Cruz may be an intelligent person, but he doesn’t carry out an intelligent debate,” King said. “He oversimplifies, he exaggerates.”
King also accused Cruz of leading the GOP “off the cliff” in 2013 for inciting the federal government shutdown. At the time, King blamed Cruz and his “acolytes” for the shutdown, saying it was “madness” for the party to follow his lead.
Their hate for the newly announced Democratic presidential candidate has no boundaries.
Vandals in Pennsylvania reportedly toppled the tombstone of Hillary Clinton’s late father, police said Tuesday night.
Employees at the Washburn Street Cemetery, in Scranton, Pa., told the Scranton Times-Tribune that the gravestone of Hugh Rodham, the deceased father of the newly minted 2016 candidate, had been overturned in recent days, in a vulgar incident that authorities suspect is vandalism.
“I’m not sure how else it would have fallen over,” Scranton Police Chief Carl Graziano said.
Rodham died in 1993 at the age of 82.
Authorities have since righted the fallen tombstone, cemetery caretaker Paul McGloin told the Times-Tribune.
“I hope this had nothing to do with politics because that’s just wrong,” McGloin told the paper.
TMZ is reporting that Aaron Hernandez has just been found guilty of 1st degree murder in the killing of semi-pro football player Odin Lloyd.
Several people inside the courtroom began crying as the verdict was read.
As the verdict was read, Hernandez was shaking his head in disbelief.
Hernandez — a former tight end for the New England Patriots — killed Lloyd on June 17th, 2013.
Aaron was also found guilty of illegal gun possession and illegal ammunition possession.
Hernandez is still shackled in the courtroom.
Sorry developing …
The car never made it to the intended target. It is believed that as the car made its way to a group of unsuspecting potential victims, it drove over an IED, causing a massive explosion sending the car airborne. And if that didn’t kill the ISIS bomber, the bombs in the car caused a second massive explosion high in the air.
The video was produced by Kurdish Peshmerga forces who are on a mission to document failed attacks by Islamic State militants as part of a concerted anti-extremism media campaign.
I will stop broadcasting these stories about police brutality when those hired to serve and protect figure out what it really means to “Serve and Protect.”
This example of excessive force and police brutality comes from Arizona in an incident that happened on February 19th, when a suspect who allegedly had a gun was followed by various cops and then rammed by one officer driving a patrol car. This particular officer wanted to go home to his family and used his patrol car to send the man flying in the air. Fortunately, the man did not die from his injuries and the officer who used his vehicle as a weapon faced no charges from the department.
Warning! Graphic Video.
Eric Harris is just another man gunned down by a police officer… a reserved police officer… with the incident caught on camera.
Harris was involved in an undercover drug operation when things went south. The video shows him exiting a car and running away, being chased by police officers and Robert Bates, a 74 year old millionaire, who volunteered as a reserved cop. On the video, Harris is caught by one of the officers and is on the ground when the 74 year old apparently went for his taser and pulled his gun instead, shooting and eventually killing Harris.
“He shot me!” Harris yelled, before he died. “He shot me, man. Oh, my god. I’m losing my breath.”
“Fuck your breath,” another officer is heard yelling on the video.
Harris’ brother Andre spoke with CNN and explained his frustration.
“It was a situation where I didn’t necessarily think that a taser should even be used,” Harris said on New Day. “As you see the footage that was three or four, maybe five people on him. We hadn’t seen the whole tape so I’m not exactly sure how many people are on him. But there was enough people on top of my brother, knees on his head, to not even have to use a taser. For it to be that many people around him and him go to use a taser really didn’t make any sense.”
“And then with the taser being yellow and on his chest, for him to shoot my brother with a .357 makes no sense to me,” Harris said. “It was overkill.” Harris added he was pleased to see charges brought against Bates.

Another recording was released today showing the aftermath of a police shooting in South Carolina, where a black man was shot in the back and died from eight gunshot wounds inflicted by the officer. In the audio recording, another man is heard advising the officer on what the next steps will be, telling the officer that his gun will most likely be taken away and advising him to take a few days to get his story straight.
“Once they get here, it’ll be real quick,” the other man says to Officer Slager. “They’re gonna tell you, you’re gonna be off for a couple days and we’ll come back and interview you then. They’re not gonna ask you any type of questions right now. They’re gonna take your weapon,” the officer says. “It’d probably be a good idea to jot down your thoughts about whatever happened … once the adrenaline stops pumping.”
Slager responds: “It’s pumping,” and then laughs.
Slager is also heard apparently answering a call on his phone, telling the person on the other end of the call that “everything’s OK. OK? I just shot somebody. He grabbed my Taser, yeah. Yeah,” says Slager. “He was running from me. … I’m fine.”
Of course, the only thruth in that statement is the fact that the man, a 50-year-old man named Walter Scott, was in fact running away from Slager when he was shot in the back and died on the spot.
