Republicans to Obama – Forget The Constitution, Bomb A Foreign Country

President Obama did exactly what the constitution requires – before taking military action, consult with Congress. And before he made the decision to do just that, Republicans in Congress were quick to point out that they should be consulted first.

At least two separate letters containing hundreds of congressional signatures made their way to the president, demanding that Congress first debate whether to take military action in Syria.

The president listened and decided to do what is constitutionally required. But his loudest critics in the Republican party are now calling him weak.

They now wonder why Mr. Obama is coming to Congress first. Amazingly, these same “protectors of the Constitution” would rather the president drop bombs in Syria, without their congressional input.

Senator John McCain for example, would have preferred the president took matters into his own hands, bypass his constitutional responsibilities to Congress, and fired missiles into a foreign country.

President Bashar Assad will be ‘euphoric’ about Obama’s decision to wait for Congress over Syria, according to Senator John McCain.

Referring to Obama’s famous remark when he said the use of chemical weapons in Syria would cross a red line, McCain said:, ‘He didn’t say, “It’s a red line – and by the way I’m going to have to seek the approval of Congress.” He said it was a red line, and that the United States of America would act.

‘And that’s a big difference, and that’s one of the reasons why this is so problematic.’

Obama is hoping one of Congress’s most intractable foreign policy hawks will help sell the idea of a U.S. military intervention in Syria to a nation deeply scarred by more than a decade of war.

Having announced over the weekend that he will seek congressional approval for military strikes against the Assad regime, the Obama administration is now trying to rally support among Americans and their congressmen and senators.

Dave Chappelle Infuriates Connecticut Audience

Comic Dave Chappelle enraged a Connecticut audience Thursday night after he stopped telling jokes 10 minutes into his show and sat onstage for 20 additional minutes, sullenly smoking cigarettes.

Chappelle performed at the Comcast Theater in Hartford, headlining the Oddball Comedy & Curiosity Festival “Funny or Die” tour with Flight of the Conchords and several other comedians. The tour’s been billed as a comeback for Chappelle, who famously ditched his popular Comedy Central show, and a $50 million paycheck, to head to Africa in 2005.

But an attendee tells us the chuckles ceased after he got rattled by a few hecklers in the audience of 8,000. “At first he came out and told a few warm-up jokes. But after about 10 minutes, about four people in the crowd heckled him,” the source said.

Then, hotheaded Chappelle decided he wasn’t going to perform at all. He sat on a stool, lit a cigarette and waited until the crowd got quiet. “You are booing yourself,” Chappelle declared.

He then made reference to the money he made from both his TV show and the night’s gig, infuriating fans who paid to see him.

“My TV show only has to be 22 minutes . . . I could have read the phone book for 22 minutes, and I would have got $50 million,” Chappelle grumbled. “Tonight is different. My contract only says 25 minutes, and I only have three minutes left. When my three is up my ass is gone.”

At one point, ample-chested author Mack Mama, who was in the audience, handed Chappelle her book, “Tales of an Original Bad Girl,” from which he read aloud. “This is a free plug for you,” Chappelle said.

After his time was up, Chappelle slinked offstage, sniffing, “Not since my son was born has 30 minutes [been] that long.”

“He made it seem like it was all about the money,” said the audience member. “It was a complete turnoff . . . It wasn’t a comeback, it’s a please don’t come back.”

George H.W Bush Issued Statement Announcing The Death of Nelson Mandela

Of course, Nelson Mandela is alive. He was in fact, discharged from the hospital today. Bush however, got the wrong information and quickly issued this statement.

The former president’s statement read:

“Barbara and I mourn the passing of one of the greatest believers in freedom we have had the privilege to know. As President, I watched in wonder as Nelson Mandela had the remarkable capacity to forgive his jailers following 26 years of wrongful imprisonment — setting a powerful example of redemption and grace for us all. He was a man of tremendous moral courage, who changed the course of history in his country. Barbara and I had great respect for President Mandela, and send our condolences to his family and countrymen.”

Moments after the statement was sent, the culprit – Bush’s  spokesman Jim McGrath – tweeted that he was responsible for Bush getting the wrong information.

Of course, by that time it was already too late. South Africa’s government rejected the statement, according to BNO news, who tweeted this:

Just another embarrassing moment for the Bushes.

PIC: Anthony Weiner Shows Off some BIG Italian Meat

Anthony Weiner showed off a big Italian sausage at an Arthur Ave. Deli Saturday, agreeing to pose with the ample-sized meat on a campaign stop in the Bronx.

When the Democratic mayoral hopeful walked into Mike’s Deli, owner David Greco said he whipped out the sausage right away.

“I’m not a fan, so I had to do something,” Greco told the Daily News. “But you know, he was a very good sport about it.”

Greco said Weiner’s sense of humor impressed him. “There were guys pushing salamis into his face. My people, they have no filters,” he said of his employees. “But he was cool about it.”

Alan Grayson Disagrees With President Obama on Bombing Syria – Video

Rep. Alan Grayson went on MSNBC’s Weekends with Alex Witt on Sunday and had a rather tart interview with host Alex Witt. Alex, like the other hosts at MSNBC has taken a rather right-winged, warmongering stance on President Obama’s decision to bring Congress into the Syria decision-making process.

Beginning yesterday with Andrea Mitchell’s apparent surprise that the President would ask for Congressional approval before dropping bombs on Syria, Alex Witt continued today, questioning why Alan Grayson was so much against military intervention in the Syrian conflict.

Grayson began the interview by stating his reasons for being against America dropping bombs.

  1. It’s not our responsibility,
  2. Whatever we do will not accomplish anything useful
  3. It’s expensive
  4. It’s dangerous

Alex Witt was quick to point out that Grayson’s position was not a popular and wondered how much pushback he was getting from other members of the house or from his constituents. Grayson answered that his position was in fact, the popular position, stating that “the polls now show and would continue to show that Americans understand that it’s simply not our responsibility.” Grayson continued;

“We are only one country our of 196. We have our own problems to deal with and we’re not the world’s policeman nor the world’s judge, jury and executioner.”

Later on in the interview, Alex played a part of the President’s speech where he outlined the reason why America must attack Syria. In the video, President Obama asked what message do we send if a dictator is able to gas children and get away with it. Alex Witt asked Grayson to respond to the President’s question. Grayson explained that the rules already in effect requires the perpetrator be brought to “the International Court of The Hague” to answer the charges, “not be bombed!”

Miley Cyrus Admits – “I am so f*cked Up”

Earlier in the week, Miley Cyrus made news with her version of ‘twerking’ when she performed her song, “We Can’t Stop” and later joined Robin Thicke in his summer hit “Blurred Lines” at the VMAs. Then on Sunday, Cyrus sat down for an interview with a U.K paper The Sunday People and admitted what we all already knew.

“I have so many f**king issues,” she allegedly tells Sunday People. “I am so f**ked up -– everyone does dumb stuff when they are messed up.”

“I don’t have a normal life,” Cyrus adds. “I take a hiatus every now and again, but I’m not good at that.”

Cyrus also said that she rarely sleeps, but that the lack of shut-eye doesn’t affect her.

“All I do is work, so I eat to live and to keep going. People are impressed with me because I can sleep for just 45 minutes — I’m used to it,” Cyrus explains, adding that her diet and exercise routine is non-existent. “Because I work so much, I’m always on the road so I eat healthily. I have to give my body what it needs to keep going and if you don’t then you will crash and burn. I don’t get to work out,” she continues. “I do yoga and 30 push-ups every day and try to get my mind right.”

Black Family Kicked Out of Restaurant Because White Woman felt Scared

Yes America, this really happened in 2013!

A group of customers at a Wild Wing restaurant in Charleston, SC were forced to wait two hours for their table and then were ultimately denied service on the basis of their race. According to Charleston’s WNEW Channel 5, the group of 25 African-Americans were asked to leave because a white customer felt “threatened.”

Michael Brown and a group composed of family and friends were gathered in July at the North Charleston Wild Wing Café to say farewell to a cousin who was moving away. The party waited for two hours for a table only to be told by a manager that there was “a situation.”

“She said there’s a situation where one of our customers feels threatened by your party, so she asked us not to seat you in our section, which totally alarmed all of us because we’re sitting there peaceably for two hours,” Brown told Channel 5. “Obviously, if we were causing any conflict, we would have been ejected out of the place hours before.”

A member of the party began to film the discussion between Brown and the restaurant manager with a camera phone.

“I asked her I want to be clear with you,” Brown recounted. “I said so you’re telling me I have to leave. She said I have a right to deny you service. I said so you’re asking me to leave because you’re upset because he was recording you, after we’ve waited for two hours, and after you’ve already pretty much discriminated on us, and she answered yes.”

Brown took the issue to Facebook on Friday after several unsuccessful calls to the company’s corporate office.

I will never go to Wild wings cafe in N. Chs again! We (Party of 25 family and friends) waited 2hrs, patiently and were refused service because another customer (White) felt threatened by us. This type of racial discrimination is unacceptable and we have to put a STOP TO IT. The manager looked me dead in the face and said she was refusing us service because she had a right to and simply she felt like it. DO NOT SUPPORT THIS ESTABLISHMENT… PLEASE SHARE THIS POST… We need your help.

That got Wild Wings’ corporate office’s attention.

“We got alerted through social media, so we always encourage our customers to respond to us or to comment on our social media pages,” Debra Stokes, chief marketing officer for Wild Wing Cafe, told Channel 5.

“We had a conversation,” says Stokes. “It was a really good conversation. He and many of his family and friends were there about a month ago, and they are regular customers of ours. So, they were having a going away party, and they just didn’t receive the experience that they have come to know and love.”

This Woman Wants To Have Sex with 100,000 Men

It’s good to have a goal in life, but the one purportedly expressed by a woman in Warsaw, Poland, may be a stretch.

Ania Lisewska, 21, is allegedly attempting to travel to every city in the world so she can have sex with at least 100,000 men for 20 minutes each.

“I want men from Poland, Europe and all around the world. I love sex, fun and men,” she said, according to the Austrian Times. “In Poland the subject of sex is still taboo and anyone who wants to fulfill their sexual fantasies is considered a deviant, a whore or mentally ill.”

The supposed sex marathon allegedly began last month in Warsaw, according to her Facebook page, and she hopes to have her way across Poland before moving to other countries.

So far, she’s had sex with 284 men, according to Fakt.pl and didn’t let the fact she has a serious boyfriend stop her.

He told the Polish language website he was “not thrilled” with her unusual hobby, but had no choice and “had to come to terms” with it.

Her Facebook page currently only has slightly more than 9,000 likes, but Lisewska is allegedly attempting to attract potential partners by setting up a website where they can register and kept apprised of her current activities.

Legal Marijuana – Coming Soon To A Store Near You

It’s legal to light up in Colorado and Washington, and soon smoking pot could be legalized across the country following a decision Thursday by the federal government.

After Washington state and Colorado passed laws in November 2012 legalizing the consumption and sale of marijuana for adults over 18, lawmakers in both states waited to see whether the federal government would continue to prosecute pot crimes under federal statutes in their states.

Both Colorado and Washington have been working to set up regulatory systems in order to license and tax marijuana growers and retail sellers, but have been wary of whether federal prosecutors would come after them for doing so. They are the first states to legalize pot, and therefore to go through the process of trying to set up a regulatory system.

Consumption and sale of marijuana is still illegal in all other states, though some cities and towns have passed local laws decriminalizing it or making it a low priority for law enforcement officers. There are also movements in many states to legalize pot, including legalization bills introduced in Maine and Rhode Island, discussion of possible bills in states including Massachusetts and Vermont, and talk of ballot initiatives in California and Oregon.

But on Thursday, the Department of Justice announced that it would not prosecute marijuana crimes that were legal under state law, a move that could signal the end of the country’s longtime prohibition on pot is nearing. “It certainly appears to be potentially the beginning of the end,” said Paul Armantano, deputy director of the pot lobby group NORML.

The memo sent to states Thursday by the DOJ said that as long as states set up comprehensive regulations governing marijuana, there would be no need for the federal government to step in, a decision that will save the Justice Department from having to use its limited resources on prosecuting individuals for growing or smoking marijuana.

“This memo appears to be sending the message to states regarding marijuana prohibition that is a recognition that a majority of the public and in some states majority of lawmakers no longer want to continue down the road of illegal cannabis, and would rather experiment with different regulatory schemes of license and retail sale of cannabis,” Armantano said.
