Convicted Republican Felon Calls Obama “Vulgar” and “Boy From the Ghetto” – PIC

Again, this is a convicted felon talking. His name is Dinesh D’Souza and yes, he is a convicted felon and pleaded guilty for illegal campaign contributions.

D’Souza posted this on his twitter feed apparently complaining that the President is a “vulgar man” and a “boy from the ghetto,” because the president took a selfie for Buzzfeed to promote the Affordable Health Care Act, better known as Obamacare.

My question is this: Since when is taking a selfie a vulgar act done by ghetto people? And while I’m at it, lemme also ask this: why is a convicted Republican felon the moral authority on selfie taking etiquette?

Republicans. Their stupidity never cease to amaze me!

Couple Falls To Their Death While Taking a Selfie on a Cliff

The selfie claimed the lives of a couple in Portugal over the weekend, as reported by The Independent.

A Polish couple plunged to their death while trying to take a selfie with their kids at the edge of a steep cliff in Portugal.

The family was visiting the cliffs of Cabo da Roca on the west coast of Portugal, the Independent reported.

They decided to capture the moment with a selfie, but the parents somehow slipped and fell hundreds of feet to their death.

Bad weather forced rescuers to give up their search Saturday. The couple’s bodies were eventually found on Sunday.

The children, ages 5 and 6, were being cared for by Polish diplomats and undergoing counseling, according to the Portugal Resident.

White House Considering Ending Selfies With The President

You can thank Samsung for this one. Because of the mini controversy that erupted when the selfie above was taken, the White House is now considering a ban on all selfies with the president.

Boston Red Sox slugger David Ortiz took the selfie with Obama Tuesday during the team’s visit to the White House. The pic appeared spontaneous at the moment, but it was revealed a day later that the act, taken with Ortiz’s Samsung Galaxy Note 3 phone, was actually a public relations stunt orchestrated by the Korean telecom conglomerate.

“Maybe this will be the end of all selfies,” White House Senior Adviser Dan Pfeiffer said about the incident Sunday on CBS’ “Face the Nation.” “(Obama) obviously didn’t know anything about Samsung’s connection to this.”

“Someone who uses the President’s likeness to promote a product… that’s a problem with the White House,” Pfeiffer added. “We’ve had conversations with Samsung about this and have expressed our concerns.”

Oxford’s 2013 Word of The Year? – Selfie

First Lady's selfie with Bo

The selfie craze reached a new milestone Monday evening when Oxford Dictionaries announced that the Internet-born noun was its international Word of the Year.

The word selfie, “a photograph that one has taken of oneself, typically one taken with a smartphone or webcam and uploaded to a social media website,” beat out other internet words like ‘twerk’, ‘Bitcoin’, and ‘binge-watch’ to earn its 2013 title.

Once an obscure word, the selfie craze has become widely popular in the English language with a 17,000 percent use increase over the past year, according to Oxford Dictionaries editors. “Using the Oxford Dictionaries language research program, which collects around 150 million words of current English in use each month, we can see a phenomenal upward trend in the use of selfie in 2013, and this helped to cement its selection as Word of the Year,” Judy Pearsall, editorial director for Oxford Dictionaries, said in a statement.
