UCA Student’s Halloween Costume – Bill Cosby in Blackface – PIC

They apparently thought it would be fun. But the fact that these students paid no attention to the insensitive nature of their racist display speaks to the level of ignorance allowed in our society.

There they are, posing proudly in their Halloween costume, one of them supposedly dressed as Bill Cosby and sporting a ‘blackface.’ After the picture starting making its way around social media, the president of the school at University of Central Arkansas (UCA), Tom Courtway, was forced to issue an apology and acknowledged a call for justice.

“A short time ago we were made aware of a picture on social media showing what is purported to be a UCA student wearing blackface.

This picture is highly offensive and repugnant, and this representation goes against all we, at UCA believe in and stand for. This institution embraces all races, cultures and nationalities. We strice each day to be welcoming, inclusive and diverse, and will always continue to do so.

The matter will be investigated by the appropriate university offices, and we can assure the UCA family and all others that it will [be] dealt with accordingly.

Video of Mother Caught Stealing Halloween Candy has Gone VIRAL – Video

The thoughtful homeowner was unable to actually hand out the candies to the little trick or treaters, so the candy was left outside the house with a note asking the little ones to be considerate. For the most part, the young ones took what they needed and went on to the next house. Until a mother and her kids walked into the scene.

Her kids took a few bars and moved on, but the mother wasn’t ready just yet. She is seen on camera grabbing candies by the handful, filling her bag. She did not leave until she grabbed the last of the stash. After she was gone another kid comes for his share, but he was too late. There were no more to be had.

In less than 24 hours, the thieving Halloween bandit had already racked up over 1,000,000 views on YouTube, thanks to the actions of this mother!

Pat Robertson – Halloween is a Time “to celebrate Satan” – Video

Pat Robertson, on his television show on The 700 Club, took time to reiterate his well-known feelings about Halloween.

“Well, it used to be called ‘All Saints Eve,’ now we know it as Halloween,” Robertson said. “That’s the day when millions of children and adults will be dressing up as devils, witches, and goblins to celebrate Satan. They don’t realize that’s what they’re doing.”

Man’s Lynching Halloween Decoration Causing Problems with NAACP – Video

The local chapter of the NAACP has sent a letter to the home owner asking him to remove the decoration because of the horrid past it represents. But the Utah man, Kevin Van Miltenberg, said no way!

“When I was making it in the first place, it never crossed my mind at all, ‘Hey, one day someone might take offense to it. I don’t make these to be offensive at all. I just make them for fun and for people to enjoy.”

Van Miltenberg has been building animatronic displays for Halloween for the past six years, adding new lifesize decorations to his front yard each year. The 7-foot-tall hanged man — dressed in denim with a hood over its head and white plastic hands bound behind its back — was the first animatronic prop he built.

“I like to do stuff that’s very realistic,” Van Miltenberg said, as the hanged man spasmed repeatedly at the end of its rope. “I hooked it up to a simple windshield wiper motor and made it come to life. It’s not to be offensive. It’s a Halloween prop.”

Halloween Decoration Shows The Lynching of a Black Family – PIC

Yes, the year is 2014 and this despicable display is still considered funny and lighthearted by some. The people displaying the decoration on their property in Fort Campbell Ky. claimed they did not mean to cause any hard feelings with their display.

As you can see from the picture above, three black figures are hanging from a tree. One male, one female and one child. A fourth figure of another child has a knife in its back and is seen on the ground apparently trying to help get the male figure down. The sign carried by the black male figure is not legible in this photo.

Someone in the community took a photo of the display and forwarded it to Clarksville Now. Fort Campbell Public Affairs was also notified and after an investigation was conducted, the owners of the display removed it an offered an apology to the community.

“Displays of an offensive nature are not reflective of Army values and the family-friendly environment provided for employees and residents of the Fort Campbell community,” said Brendalyn Carpenter with Public Affairs.

Mother Allowed 7 Year Old to Wear KKK Hood as Halloween Costume

This is how you teach hate to your young. This so-called “mother” allowed her 7-year-old child to wear a KKK hood as a Halloween costume. And she sees nothing wrong with it. She thinks the KKK and the look on her child is “meaningful.”

A 7-year-old boy’s homemade Ku Klux Klan Halloween costume is continuing to stir controversy and threats days after he was photographed trick-or-treating in his Craigsville, Virginia neighborhood.

Jessica Black, the pint-sized boy’s mother who made his white robe and cloak, says her son understood the risk when putting it on. Not only that, it’s a “family tradition,” she argued.

“I did tell him that if you do it, you know there’s going to be people talking about you, there’s going to be people saying bad things about you when you do wear it,” Black defended to WHSV.

True to her word, Black says she has received several online threats since word and pictures spread of her son’s attire.

Black’s son, appearing oblivious to those threats — and the outfit’s meaning — told a WHSV reporter he first saw it in the 1991 movie, “Fried Green Tomatoes.”

Asked why he wanted to wear it, he answered, “Cause it was cool.”

Black argues it being more than just cool but meaningful.

“It’s supposed to be white with white. Black with black. Man with woman and all of that. That’s what the KKK stands for,” said Black. “The KKK every year raises money to donate to the St. Jude’s.”

According to the Southern Poverty Law Center, which describes the KKK as “the most infamous – and oldest – of American hate groups,” there are at least eight active chapters in the state of Virginia.

Texas has the most with 26 chapters. Mississippi has 17 and Georgia 11.

Craigsville neighbor Wendi Sprouse, who saw Black’s son donning the cloak on Halloween night, called the costume and his ignorant upbringing completely unacceptable.

The Legend of the Jack O’ Lantern

This week thousands of Americans will scoop out the flesh of a gourd, crudely carve a haunting face into its rind, and stick a candle inside. Then the jack-o’-lanterns will proudly be displayed on porches and stoops. Who or what is this wacky tradition named after?

The British can claim ownership of the original use of the phrase “jack-o’-lantern.” In the 17th century, it referred to a night watchman, a man who literally carried a lantern.

But it was also a nickname for strange, flickering lights seen at night over wetlands, or peat bogs, and mistaken to be fairies or ghosts. This natural phenomenon is also called ignis fatuus, which means “fool’s fire,” and will o’ the wisp.

Eventually what was called a “turnip lantern” became known as a jack-o’-lantern. Young boys used these hollowed-out and lit-up gourds to spook people.

Legend has it that this use of jack-o’-lantern was named after a fellow named Stingy Jack, who thought he had tricked the devil. But the devil had the last laugh, condemning Jack to an eternity of wandering the planet with only an ember of hellfire for light.

Irish immigrants brought the jack-o’-lantern custom to North America, which is where pumpkins were first used to make the Halloween decorations.

Halloween Decoration So Scary, Neighbors Called 911

Johnnie Mullins’ neighbors love Halloween as much as the next heathen, but they think his decorations this year crossed the line from fun-scary to scary-call-the-cops-there’s-a-dead-body-in-our-neighbor’s-driveway.

“Just trying to scare people, that’s what I like to do,” Mullins, of Mustang, Oklahoma, told News9 in defense of his “Halloween prank”: Two fake bodies that appear to have met a bloody demise outside his house.

“My heart about came out of my chest. I thought ‘Oh my God,'” said neighbor Rebecca Fuentes. “If I think it’s real, just think of what a child would think?”

The children “don’t freak out or anything,” Mullins insists, but it seems the adults are freaking out enough for everyone.

One neighbor was apparently so persuaded by how lifelike the dead bodies look that they dialed 911.
