Girl Told to Remove her Black Lives Matter T-Shirt – Her Response Went VIRAL

It was quite understandable – ‘no politics at the Thanksgiving Dinner table’. So when Rebecca Malstorm wore a Black Lives Matter T-Shirt to her family’s Thanksgiving dinner, her family asked her to change into something else. She did… She changed into another Black Lives Matter T-Shirt.

“We had a strict ‘no politics’ rule, so when one family member asked me to change, I followed the command and changed… into another BLM shirt,” the 19-year-old University of Maryland student told Mashable. She posted photographs of the two shirts on Twitter and the internet loved it.

After changing into her second Black Lives Matter shirt and returning to the dinner table, Malstrom said the reaction from her family members “wasn’t as exciting as it could’ve been.”

She decided to cover the shirt with a sweater to avoid conflict, but the following night at “friendsgiving” with some of her additional family members in attendance, Malstrom proudly wore the same shirt without the words covered. “That’s when I told everyone that my tweet had blown up. Their reactions were priceless!” she said.

“I love my entire family to Pluto and back, but we don’t see eye to eye on politics. However, they have all shown their support and are so proud of me for standing for what I believe in,” Malstrom told Mashable. “Even though not all of my family agrees with my political views, everyone was ecstatic to see how much of an impact I had on the internet.”

Cops Wife Blames Black Lives Matter for Crime that Never Happened – Video

Have you ever wondered why Black Lives Matter even exists? It is because of crooked cops who use their badge and gun to murder innocent people, And it’s also because of people like Maria Daly, who filed a false report claiming her home was burglarized, and that Black Lives Matter did the crime.

In this case, the wife of a Massachusetts police officer blamed Black Lives Matter for what turned out to be a bogus invasion of her home. Maria Daly faces charges for filing the false report.

Daly, who is married to an officer on the Millbury police force, claimed in an Oct. 17 police report that robbers busted into her home and stole jewelry and cash in the middle of the night.

The burglars spray-painted “BLM,” shorthand for Black Lives Matter, on the side of the house before dashing off with about $10,000 worth of loot, she told police.

“We woke up to not only our house being robbed while we were sleeping but to see this hatred for no reason,” she wrote on Facebook after she reported the “crime” to cops.

The cop’s wife continued: “If you would have asked me yesterday about this blue lives and black lives matter issue my response would have been very positive. Today on the other hand I have so much anger and hate that I don’t like myself.”

Kerry Washington’s “Rant” about Recent Police Shootings

After giving birth to her second child and thanking well wishers, the ‘Scandal’ star took to twitter to “rant” about the recent police killing of Deborah Danner, the 66-year-old woman with schizophrenia, killed by a New York police officer.

“It’s a quiet Saturday afternoon. So, a few things I wanna get off my chest…,” she started. “I saw all your very kind & thoughtful congratulatory tweets. So yeah we thank you. Xo”

The “Scandal” actress also addressed the death of Danner in the Bronx, where Washington grew up.

“Also the loss of #DeborahDanner has rattled my core. Not only becuz of painful truth that we must continue to affirm that #BlackLivesMatter,” she tweeted. “But also becuz #DeborahDanner was killed in the community where I was raised. Community filled w/people I know & love. So when I #sayhername.”

Washington continued, “My heart aches. For lives lost and for the lives we must protect. For the humanity we must work to illuminate and preserve and affirm. #BLM.”

The actress ended her self-described “rant” by encouraging her Twitter followers to check out “Moonlight,” a film released Friday that centers on the story of a young black man in Miami coming to terms with his sexual identity.

“It is artful food for your soul,” Washington said. “At a time when so many of us need to be lovingly nourished.”

She concluded her series of tweets with: “End of rant XOXOXOXOX.”

Singer Protests – Performs The National Anthem on One Knee – Video

Showing her support for Rams’s Quarterback, Colin Kaepernick – who has been on a personal protest against racism among police officers against the black community by kneeling on one knee during the national anthem – singer, Denasia Lawrence, followed in Kaepernick’s footsteps and took a knee during her rendition of the National Anthem.

The singer sang the anthem before an NBA preseason game between the Miami Heat and the Philadelphia 76ers.

“We’re being unjustly killed and overly criminalized,” Lawrence wrote. “I took the opportunity to sing and kneel to show that we belong in this country and that we have the right to respectfully protest injustices against us.”

Republican Conservative Sheriff Promotes Violence if Trump Loses

He is a Milwaukee sheriff. A frequent guest on Fox News when there are questions about justice or police and community matters. He called BlackLivesMatter the “enemy’ and is a strong supporter of Donald Trump. In my view, this Republican sheriff is stone cold crazy!

Don’t believe me? Look at what this so-called sheriff, David Clarke – a man who swore to uphold and keep the peace – look at what he had to say in support of his candidate’s claims that the election is “rigged” and would lead to a Trump loss.

In a tweet, the sheriff calls on citizens to pick up “pitchforks and torches” to attack the opposition.

It’s incredible that our institutions of gov, WH, Congress, DOJ, and big media are corrupt & all we do is bitch. Pitchforks and torches time.

Kansas Cop Threatens Random Black Woman and Her Daughter on Facebook

The threat came after five police officers were shot and killed in Dallas. The Kansas cop apparently trolled Facebook, found the woman’s profile and proceeded to threaten her and her little daughter.
“We’ll see how much her life matters soon,” the officer said. “Better be careful leaving your info open where she can be found 🙂 Hold her close tonight it’ll be the last time.”

The Overland Park police officer was fired Friday after the Texas woman reported the threat made the night before, shortly after a gunman opened fire on law enforcement officers during a Black Lives Matter demonstration, reported the Kansas City Star.

The comment was made from the officer’s personal Facebook account on photos of the woman’s daughter she had posted in 2014.

The woman has no idea how the officer found her Facebook profile or why he targeted her and her daughter.

“I had no clue who this guy was,” said the woman, LaNaydra Williams. “I was angry, and then I was scared.”

The police department launched an investigation Friday morning after Williams reported the comments, and the officer was fired hours later.

We Need to Calm Down

If we need anything now, it’s to stop talking and let the investigations into the tragedies of the past week move forward. After all, in the overwhelming number of big news stories, the early information is usually the least reliable, but that’s the information that becomes the narrative. Then when we get contradictory evidence, it’s much more difficult to alter our thinking and change our views because it doesn’t reinforce the narrative.

So let’s calm down and stop talking across each other. We should mourn, grieve, cry, reflect, breathe, consider, reconsider, and learn. This country is divided enough and social media isn’t helping. As a matter of fact, it’s hurting us right now. My conservative friends are full of bile and contempt for President Obama, Hillary Clinton and Black Lives Matter. My liberal friends have turned up the hate, if that’s even possible, on Donald Trump, the NRA and racist police officers.

Please stop.

This is our collective problem and we all share the blame for creating a society that has no patience for different perspectives. I abhor racism and justice denied, but I also detest making scapegoats out of police officers and people who legally carry firearms. I despise what Donald Trump and his supporters have said about women, Hispanic groups and African-Americans, but I also loathe the dismissal of Hillary Clinton’s email server and her misjudgement and rationalizations for setting one up at her house.

Enough.

In the absence of someone who can bind up the nation’s wounds or appeal to a vast majority of Americans, we will need to get through this ourselves, so we’ll need to be a little more rational about this. The first step is to reach out to people you know who don’t share your political philosophy and to engage them in discussion without calling them an idiot or a Neanderthal or a mouth-breather. When you talk to them, describe what you feel and ask questions, as opposed to labeling and accusing them of being part of the problem. We are all part of the problem, and to deny that is to deny reality. Neither side has a monopoly on the truth.

Try it now while we wait for information that might make today’s news headlines obsolete and wrong. This is too important to let emotions rule the day.

Sarah Palin Says Black Lives Matter is a “Farce”

It is sickening to think that there are people in this nation who supported Sarah Palin. And it is even more sickening to think that someone like Sarah Palin was considered to be our vice president. Oh wait! We now have Donald Trump and he wants to be President!!!

Black people in this country have been lynched, beaten, stoned and murdered since the days of slavery. There have been advancements in race relations since those days but thanks to cellphone videos and the Black Lives Matter movement, the rest of the world is getting a look at what black people go through every day in America… land of the free…!

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin however, says the Black Lives Matter movement is a “farce” and said Americans who hyphenate their racial backgrounds — such as African-Americans and Asian-Americans — “further divide our nation.”

#‎BlackLivesMatter‬ is a farce and hyphenating America destroys us,” the 2008 Republican vice presidential nominee wrote on her Facebook page. “Shame on our culture’s influencers who would stir contention and division that could lead to evil such as that in Dallas.”

“Shame on politicians and pundits giving credence to thugs rioting against police officers and the rule of law in the name of “‘peaceful protests.’ It is a farce. #BlackLivesMatter is a farce.”

The former vice presidential candidate said black lives matter more than activists “can grasp.”

“Black Lives Matter? Yes – more than BLM “protestors” can grasp, as evidenced by their self-destructive provocateurism,” she wrote. “Doesn’t it go without saying that Native lives matter, too? And Asian; and Eskimo; and Hispanic; and Indian… and every other race comprised of people who see clearly the agenda at play to weaken America through disunity.”

Newt Gingrich – White People “don’t understand being black in America” – Video

In his conversation with Van Jones, former Republican House Speaker, Newt Gingrich, came to the shocking truth that black Americans live with every day – black lives do not matter  to white America and white Americans could care less about blacks being gunned down every day by police.

“It took me a long time, and a number of people talking to me through the years to get a sense of this. If you are a normal white American, the truth is you don’t understand being black in America and you instinctively under-estimate the level of discrimination and the level of additional risk,” Gingrich said.

He continued, speaking about his childhood: “It was still legally segregated, which meant the local sheriff and National Guard would impose, by force, the taking away of rights of Americans. We’ve come a fair distance, now we have a black mayor of Atlanta, and have had a series of them in fact. We have John Lewis who went from marching on Selma to a Democratic whip in Congress. But we’ve stalled out on the cultural, economic, practical progress we needed.”

That lack of progress, Gingrich said, “creates the kind of alienation where it begins to become legitimate to think about, whether it’s in songs or slogans or whatever, the shooting of policemen. If we were to continue in this direction of alienation on both sides, you could really be a very coarse and dangerous society in 10 or 15 years.”

Donald Trump Fanatic Arrested with Bombs After Threatening Barack Obama

Donald Trump and the Republican party just lost a vote as John Roos, one of Trump’s biggest fans, is now in custody.

A fanatical Donald Trump supporter, who was arrested by the FBI in Oregon this week after repeatedly threatening to kill President Barack Obama and federal agents, had multiple pipe bombs in his home, authorities alleged in court on Friday.

John Martin Roos, a 61-year-old from Oregon, has been charged with communication of a threat in interstate commerce, and additional charges are likely forthcoming. Roos first came onto the federal government’s radar after a “concerned citizen” brought Roos’ Facebook and Twitter postings to the FBI’s attention in February, according to an affidavit from Special Agent Jeffrey Gray. (Excerpts, below, from Roos’ postings contain explicit language.)

In one Jan. 31 Facebook post cited by the FBI, Roos referred to agents as “pussies” and wrote he would “snipe them with hunting rifles everywhere.” (Despite his threats to kill members of law enforcement, he also complained on Facebook earlier this month about the “liberal media … slamming police.”) In a post in November that was also cited by the FBI, Roos spoke out against accepting refugees and threatened to kill Obama.

“Obama you goat fffing fudgepacker, the refugees are men of fighting age. Black lives matter! Sure we need someone to pick cotton and wash cars. Paris, burn diseased muslim neighborhoods to the ground and start over with human beings. Obama you are on a hit list,” he wrote in a post that appears to have been removed.

Beyond what was mentioned in the affidavit, Roos regularly posted on both Facebook and Twitter about his support for Trump and his hatred for Obama, who he called a “muslim faggot” and other derogatory terms. He indicated he wanted to kill Obama’s family and made other racist and sexist statements about Michelle Obama. He also made negative references to Attorney General Loretta Lynch, singer Beyonce, Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly and reporter Michelle Fields, and said he believed that the late Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia was killed by Obama. He praised Ann Coulter and Stacey Dash, and posted several links to posts on Breitbart.com.

Bill Clinton Accuses #BlackLivesMatter Protesters of Not Telling The Truth – Video

While campaigning for his wife, the former Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, in Philadelphia, former President Bill Clinton had a heated confrontation with protesters from BlackLivesMatter, telling them that they should “tell the truth!”

The protesters at this particular event were specific. They held signs criticizing some of of the bills Bill Clinton signed into law when he were president. Some of their signs read;  “Clinton crime bill destroyed our communities” and “Welfare reform increased poverty.” And they accused Bill Clinton of destroying black lives with these laws.

But Bill Clinton was not having it!

“I don’t know how you would characterize the gang leaders who got 13-year-old kids hopped up on crack and sent them out on the street to murder other African-American children,” Bill Clinton told the crowd. “Maybe you thought they were good citizens. She didn’t. You are defending the people who killed the lives you say matter. Tell the truth.”

The Urgency of King’s Message: Forty Eight Years and Counting

I think I’ve found a new, potent source of energy; Martin Luther King, Jr. spinning in his grave over the state of race relations in the country and on the presidential election trail. All we need to do is tap into it and we can power our devices for the foreseeable future. Unfortunately, it won’t do much for our national soul.

In the 48 years since his untimely and tragic death, King’s legacy has been begged, borrowed and stolen by those who believe they knew his intentions and by those who wanted them buried along with him. From the start, politicians – mostly on the right, including President Reagan and Senator Jesse Helms – opposed even making King’s birthday a national holiday. Arizona had to be threatened with the ultimate penalty of no Super Bowls, before they would accept the day. It’s also become a favorite day for the NBA to schedule afternoon games, but that seems to be the upper limit on MLK Day commercialization, and that’s a good thing. Those of us who are old enough might remember that January was traditionally the month when retailers would run sales on textiles that they labeled “White Sales.”

Can you imagine?

Over the past few years we’ve witnessed terrible incidents where African-American men, women and children were unjustly killed by the police, unnecessarily fined to the brink of bankruptcy by corrupt public officials, and stopped by the police for reasons that white Americans don’t experience. And what is considered good news for African-Americans, that their rates of narcotics deaths is lower, is tragically caused by racism, as this article recounts:

There is a reason that blacks appear to have been spared the worst of the narcotic epidemic, said Dr. Andrew Kolodny, a drug abuse expert. Studies have found that doctors are much more reluctant to prescribe painkillers to minority patients, worrying that they might sell them or become addicted.
“The answer is that racial stereotypes are protecting these patients from the addiction epidemic,” said Dr. Kolodny, a senior scientist at the Heller School for Social Policy and Management at Brandeis University and chief medical officer for Phoenix House Foundation, a national drug and alcohol treatment company.

On the campaign trail, the Republicans continue to express their outrage that minorities are not working because white tax money is easily available to them in the form of public assistance and unemployment benefits. Their fealty to Donald Trump’s immigration scheme will doom them with a majority of Hispanic voters and they can’t win the White House with only White Votes. Their opposition to a fair minimum wage, infrastructure projects, labor collective bargaining rights and public schools really doesn’t allow for any middle class group to support them, much less those who have traditionally been marginalized in American society.

On the Democratic side, Bernie Sanders is making his move in Iowa and New Hampshire and is now trying to appeal more to African-Americans, a group that Hillary Clinton has always done well with. Both of them have had problems with Black Lives Matter and their relative success could come down to the minority vote in southern states and northern cities. The Democrats cannot take the African-American vote for granted because the party has controlled many cities over the years, yet the schools have not improved, housing has not become more affordable, the minimum wage hasn’t helped and many jobs have fled the country.

Barack Obama’s election will have a lasting effect on this country, even as he is the victim of both overt and subtle racism on the part of many of his opponents. That he has served this country with distinction, morality, forthrightness and a stubborn streak that has forced his opposition to argue against fair treatment of all people, makes him a worthy representative of King’s legacy.

And this is why we need to have a holiday for Martin Luther King. It’s here to remind us that we will never live up to the true meaning of our founding documents as long as we treat people differently under the law, in the workplace and schools, and, most importantly, in our heads and hearts. I would urge you to add to your resolutions to lose weight and make more money, one that includes an action, an attitude change, or a commitment to act in King’s spirit and honor his words.
