Charles Barkley Slams Trump, his “Loser” Supporters and CNN – Video

It was just a matter of time before NBA Great, Charles Barkley, makes his feelings known on the upcoming presidential election and the cast of characters involved. In his regular commentary routine for NBA games on TNT, Charles Barkley unloaded on Donald Trump, his supporters and CNN!

“This Donald Trump thing has been fascinating, sad, funny … it’s all over the place,” Barkley said. It’s been sad to watch him insult people and then see his numbers go up. He started out by insulting Hispanics … now to lump all the Muslims together, that’s even more insulting.”

“Then you have these losers who love that because they’re afraid to look in the mirror and see why their life sucks. So they have to blame other people. Your life sucks for reasons because of you, not because of Hispanics. … It’s been said to watch every time he insults people, his poll numbers go out … (Trump) and (fellow GOP condtender) Ben Carson, to be honest with you.”

And he had a thing or two to say about CNN, sister-station to TNT

“To be honest with you, CNN has done an awful job this election,” Barkley said. “They have followed ratings and sound bites this entire cycle. Think about it. I love CNN. They’re part of our company, but they’ve been kissing butt chasing ratings. They’ve become like Fox News for the Republicans, to be honest for you. They follow every single sound bite just to get ratings for these debates. And it’s been sad and frustrating that our company has sold its soul for ratings.”

Barkley says he’s always voted Democrat, but he’s a supporter of GOP candidate John Kasich.

“For the first time i was thinking … i made a final decision to vote for a Republican,” Barkley said. “But (Kasich) has not been able to get any traction whatsoever, so to be honest, at this point I have no idea who I’m gong to vote for. I’m going to support (Ohio) Governor Kasich, but he’s got to be relevant and unfortunately he hasn’t been able to gain any ground.’

Charles Barkely Likes Chris Christie in 2016

Not that anyone really cares what Charles Barkley has to say about politics, but someone did ask and Barkley of course, offered his opinion.

“I am paying close attention to the political situation,” Barkley said, when Sports Illustrated’s Richard Deitsch asked him in a new interview for his thoughts about the 2016 presidential election . “I have always voted Democratic. But I like some of the Republicans this time around. I like Chris Christie. I like Jeb Bush. I like those guys.”

Asked about Hillary Clinton, Barkley laughed and said, “Well, I just told you I was thinking about voting Republican.”

“But I was very disappointed in Chris Christie the other day on the measles thing,” he said, referring to the New Jersey governor’s comments about vaccinations. “It is a shame that these guys are afraid of just answering the question and trying to make everyone agree with you.”

Barkley said he did vaccinate his daughter but did not appreciate how Christie started to change his position once he received “blowback” from the media. “I’m like, dude, your opinion is just your fucking opinion,” he said. “I don’t understand why you answer a question and think everyone is going to agree with you. You can’t live your life like that.”

Charles Barkley Calls Glen Rice His “Hero” For Sleeping With Sarah Palin

Charles Barkley couldn’t wait for the conversation to come up. During an on-air radio segment on ESPN Radio, the group briefly spoke about Joe McGinniss’s book, where the claim was made that Glen Rice had a one night stand with former Alaskan governor Sarah Palin.

Barkley, who has a history of looking for the most controversial thing to say about everything, put in his two cents.

“You know I have a thing for Sarah Palin, I do. I think she’s hot! I wouldn’t vote for her, but she is hot now. I’m talking both. I’ve always said, ‘I’ve got a crush on Sarah Palin.’ I would never vote for her. I always vote Democratic because I think you have a better chance of helping poor people if you vote Democratic.

But, I’ve always had a thing for Sarah Palin. When I read that… Glen Rice is my new hero! He’s my new hero. You know she just moved in my neighborhood and I haven’t had a chance to meet her. I stay in Philadelphia in the summer, and I go back to Arizona when it starts getting cold. That cold is creeping up on me. I’m talking 50 or 60 degrees. So, I’m heading back to Arizona soon and I look forward to meeting Sarah Palin. Hey listen if that story is true, more power to Glen Rice.”

Barkley sounds a little too excited about meeting Sarah now. Maybe Todd should pack up Sarah and the family and move as far away from Barkley as possible.
