WARNING! Fox News Say “Communist” Bill De Blasio Can Invite Paris Like Attacks in New York!

Here we go with Fox News again. Following the shooting in France where 12 people at a satirical newspaper were killed by Islamic terrorists, Fox News went to their general in chief, their apparent terrorist expert, their well schooled man in everything Islam! Fox News went to their military expert Tom McInerney and his conclusion is “Political correctness is killing us” and New York better watch out, because of the “communist” New York mayor Bill De Blasio could see the same attack happen in New York!

Did you know that Bill DeBlasio was going to take away the guns from the New York police? Well I didn’t know that either, but Fox News and Tom McInerney apparently think that is the next step here in New York!

Jeeze!!!

New York Police Officers Salute Mayor DeBlasio at Slain Officer’s Wake

The first time around when the mayor went to pay his respects to one of New York’s fallen heroes, the rest of the New York police department allowed their union leader to get the best of them, and showered the mayor with the uttermost disrespect – turning their backs on the man as he attended the funeral.

But something has changed, and today as the mayor made his way through the wake of the second fallen officer, he was saluted by other police officers at the scene, thanks in part to a stern letter written by Police Commissioner, Bill Bratton.

Ahead of the wake for Wenjian Liu, Commissioner Bill Bratton told officers to refrain from the “act of disrespect” seen at the funeral of Liu’s partner, Rafael Ramos, when thousands of officers turned their backs on de Blasio.

“A hero’s funeral is about grieving, not grievance,” Bratton wrote in a memo to be read on police roll calls over the weekend. The funeral is set for Sunday.

Liu, 32, and Ramos, 40, were shot to death on Dec. 20 as they sat in their squad car in Brooklyn. Their killer, Ismaaiyl Brinsley, who killed himself soon after, had said he was seeking to avenge the deaths this summer of two unarmed black men at the hands of white police officers.

On Saturday, a few hundred mourners, most of them police officers in dress blue uniforms, lined up outside the funeral home on a frigid, snowy afternoon.

De Blasio and Bratton entered the funeral home together shortly after it opened, with officers standing guard by the entrance saluting both men as they went inside. The wake was closed to the public.

Letitia James Poised To Become First Black Woman To Hold Citywide Office in NYC

“You GO Girl!”

New York City councilwoman Letitia James, from Brooklyn and with strong ties to labor unions, has won a Democratic primary runoff for public advocate on Tuesday. This victory makes her all but certain to become the first African-American woman to hold citywide office.

Since there is no Republican candidate, Ms. James will almost definitely be elected to succeed Bill de Blasio, the public advocate and Democratic nominee for mayor.

With 99% of precincts reporting, Ms. James, 54, defeated Daniel L. Squadron, 33, a state senator from Brooklyn and Manhattan, by winning 59.4% of the vote. Squadron won 40.6% of the vote.

Tuesday at her campaign headquarters, councilwoman’s James gave her acceptance speech, stating:

“I am humbled to join you tonight and announce that we have won this campaign and we are on to the Office of New York City Public Advocate.  I ran for Public Advocate because all my life I have seen New Yorkers persevere and I’ve seen the role that government can play in helping uplift working people.  As someone who comes from humble beginnings, I’ve experienced it myself.  My father was a janitor and my mother cleaned offices.  The opportunities I was given and the family, faith, and community that stood behind me, helped me make it.  And today, you elected me the first woman of color to hold city-wide office in OUR city.”

LITTLE KNOWN FACTOID: The public advocate is first in line to succeed the mayor if that office suddenly becomes vacant. One of three citywide positions, the office serves as a watchdog on municipal government and has the power to review city agencies and issue reports. Ms. James would be the fourth Democrat to serve in the office since it was created in the early 1990s.
