GoFundMe Page Started to Build Escalators Over Trump’s Wall

Although Mexico was supposed to pay for it, some Americans are digging deep into their pockets not to give to the needy this holiday season or buy Christmas gifts, some Americans are digging into their pocket to fund Trump’s wall.

But there are others who have seen the absurdity of a physical wall along our southern border, and they have started their own GoFundme page… to build escalators over Trump’s wall.

At the time of this post, the GuFundMe page to build escalators over Trump’s wall is three days old. And over $7500 dollars have been donated.

According to the page creator, Luke O’Neil,;

“The wall is never going to be built but just in case it is we will build a series of giant escalators that are spaced out a half mile along the wall on either side and if that doesn’t happen we’ll just give the money to people who care about the well being of human beings no matter where they’re from.

“The escalators are a metaphor please do not come and investigate me ICE or whoever I’m not really going to build a series of giant escalators it’s a joke to raise money for this good cause. To be clear all the money goes to RAICES a very worthy immigrant legal services charity and there is no way for me to access it even if I wanted to. “

REpublicans Now Turning Against Trump

Well, it took them long enough. We can only hope that their silence has not allowed Donald Trump to do irreparable damage to this country.

CNN contributor Maggie Haberman shares her findings on what some Republicans are now saying about their dear leader.

In light of the many issues challenging the Trump administration — border wall funding and threatened government shutdown, a tanking stock market, a very controversial Syrian withdrawal and a stunning protest resignation of Defense Secretary of James Mattis — host John Berman asked his guest if all of this drama was really about President Donald Trump’s survival in the White House.

Calling it a “critical moment,” Haberman reported that there was waning support for Trump from the right, saying “A number of conservatives who worked on the campaign and supported the president and now say, you know, I regret doing that, and this was a mistake, this administration is, you know, off the rails, and all of these investigations that are coming to a head will be a huge problem.”

She adding that these conservatives “disgusted” with details that have emerged from the Michael Cohen plea deal. In her eyes, investigations into Trump’s campaign are ” going to intensify as we get into the year” before bringing up impeachment.  “It takes 20 Republican senators to vote in favor of impeachment. This could be a critical moment.”

Trump’s America is Full of Hate – Video

It is safe to say that hate and racism and sexism and Islamophobia and all the other hateful terms used to describe small isolated segments of our did not start two years ago when Donald Trump took the White House. Hate in America has been around for
Centuries. But the degree to which hate has taken center stage in our national discourse has a direct coalition to the man in the Oval Office – the man who has gladly accepted the support of Nazis and the KKK.

So yes, we should be outraged by the obvious hate displayed in the video below. But our outrage should be focused not only on the actions that took place at Chartiers Valley High School in Pittsburgh, but our outrage should also be focused on the conduit and his dog-whistle that promotes these isolated segments of our society. And we should do all we can to disrupt Trump’s conduit of hate if we truly want to make America great…again.

Trump’s Personal Piggy-Bank Fundation to Dissolve Amid Investigation

It is something Trump and his gang should have done a long time ago. They apparently thought their little scheme to rip off unsuspecting donors to their “foundation” would go unnoticed. Instead, it took an investigation into their wrongdoings by the New York Attorney General for Trump and kind to realize that people are watching, and their crimes are not above the law.

So now, now they are forced to dissolve the Foundation. As the investigation revealed, Donald Trump has used the funds from his charitable foundation as his personal piggy-bank.

The dissolution of the Donald J. Trump Foundation resolves one element of the attorney general’s civil lawsuit against the foundation, which includes claims that the President and his three eldest children — Don Jr., Ivanka Eric — violated campaign-finance laws and abused its tax-exempt status. Rather than operating it as a genuine charity, the lawsuit alleges, they instead allowed it to be used “as little more than a checkbook to serve Mr. Trump’s business and political interests.

“The agreement to dissolve, signed by both an attorney for the foundation and Attorney General Barbara Underwood’s office, also allows the attorney general’s office to review the recipients of the charity’s assets. The foundation’s most recent tax return listed its net assets at slightly more than $1.7 million.

Google CEO Explains to Congress Why Searching for “Idiot” Shows Pictures of Donald Trump – Video

Some would say that needs no explanation. Some would say the Google Search Engine is correct to show information about Donald Trump when someone searches the word, “idiot.” But in Congress, Republicans think something smells, and they’re not talking about the stench in the White House!

On Tuesday, the search engine giant’s CEO Sundar Pichai had the task of explaining to members of Congress why that happens during a hearing in front of the House Judiciary Committee.

Pichai refuted Rep. Zoe Lofgren’s (D-Calif.) tongue-in-cheek suggestion that it was down to “a little man sitting behind the curtain” who was skewing the results against conservatives — saying the company doesn’t “manually intervene” in searches.

“We provide search today for any time you type in a keyword. We, as Google, have gone out and crawled and stored copies of billions of their pages in our index, and we take the keyword and match it against the pages and rank them based on over 200 signals,” Pichai explained.

“Things like relevance, freshness, popularity, how other people are using it. And based on that, you know, at any given time, we try to find the best results for that query,” he added, during the hearing that also threw up several other self-owns for lawmakers.

Republican Senator – “I Don’t Care” About Trump’s Crimes

Trump’s past lawyer, the man who said he would “take a bullet” for Donald Trump, implicated Trump in a crime… no… two crimes for campaign contribution violation.

According to Michael Cohen, Donald Trump instructed him to pay off a pornstar and a playboy bunny to keep them silent during the 2016 presidential election about affairs he had with Trump. This action, according to Robert Mueller and prosecutors from the Southern District of New York, is a clear campaign violation contribution laws.

But don’t tell that to Congressional Republicans. Presented with facts that Donald Trump is a criminal, a criminal in the Oval Office, Republicans have decided that being in lockstep with Trump is their only hope.

Take Utah Senator Orrin Hatch for example. Greeted with a microphone and a camera thrust in his face and asked for a response to Trump’s involvement in these crimes, Hatch replied, “I don’t care, all I can say is he’s doing a great job as president.”

And Hatch is not alone. Republican Senate Leader Mitch McConnell basically said he hasn’t thought about Trump’s crimes to have an opinion on the matter.

We have a criminal in the Oval Office and the folks tasked with constitutional oversight have buried their head in the sand.

And you wonder why the world is laughing at us.

Trump Listens to Reporter’s Question… Then Walks Away – Video

The disrespect is real folks. And if you’re on his… shitlist, Trump’s disrespect for you will be on a hole lower level. What else do you expect from someone with the mental development of a toad?

We already know how he feels about reporters and any media outlet doing their job and shedding light on Trumps many abuses of office. But White House reporter, April Ryan, has a special place deep in the dungeon of Trump’s hate.

Watch the disrespect this man exudes as Ryan asked Trump a question about whether his daughter should be investigated for using a personal email account to conduct government business in the White House.

Trump Demands Respect from Reporters While Calling Reporter a “loser”

Don’t laugh, but this is what Donald Trump said on Friday about ‘respect, before he began his short trip to Paris.

“When you’re in the White House, this is a very sacred place for me, a very special place. You have to treat the White House with respect. You have to treat the presidency with respect.”

That statement was part of Trump’s response when a reporter asked about the White House’s ban on CNN’s Jim Acosta. “I think Jim Acosta is a very unprofessional man,” Trump said. “As far as I’m concerned I haven’t made a decision. But there could be  others also.”

While answering the question and demanding respect, Trump naturally disrespected another reporter by calling April Ryan a “loser.”

“You talk about somebody that’s a loser; she doesn’t know what the hell she’s doing,” Mr. Trump said of Ms. Ryan, in an unprompted diatribe. “She gets publicity, and then she gets a pay raise or a contract with, I think, CNN. But she’s very nasty. And she shouldn’t be. She shouldn’t be. You’ve got to treat the White House and the office of the presidency with respect.”

This would be funny if it wasn’t so sad. A self-proclaimed pussy grabber who has absolutely no respect for anyone inside or outside the White House now expects respect in return.

I can’t wait for 2020 to restore some measure of sanity to this nation. I am tired of having a joker in the White House. I am tired of being the laughing-stock of the entire world.

Watch What Happened When a Reporter Demanded Accountability From Donald Trump – Video

If other reporters did what CNN’s Jim Acosta did today, then maybe Donald Trump will think twice about using the airways to lie to the American people every chance he gets.

The day after the midterm election when Democrats commandingly regained control of the House of Representatives from Republicans, Donald Trump joined reporters at the White House to answer questions on, among other things, what went wrong for Republicans.

CNN’s Jim Acosta had the mic and asked a straightforward question about the Caravan and Trump’s depiction of these refugees as “invaders.” And just as expected, Donald Trump tried to shut Jim down, called him “rude”, and even had his White House aide attempt to wrestle the microphone away from the reporter.

Fox News Pulls Donald Trump’s Racist Ad

I’ve criticized Fox News over the years and I’m sure there will be more opportunities to criticize them in the very near future. You can bet on it. But when the network show some decency – and that happens as often as there are blue moons – I will support their decency.

Enter support for Fox News’ decency – now that’s a phrase you will not hear often.

As the midterm elections quickly approach, Donald Trump and his herd of Republican sheep are desperate. So desperate they are, that Trump and his clan are running racist ads against Democrats hoping to scare up some votes their way. Most networks have refused to air the ad, but hearing that Fox News is one of these networks… well… good move Fox!

According to Brian Stelter, CNN’s host of Reliable Sources, Fox’s ad sales president has pulled the racist ad off both Fox News Channel and Fox Business Network.

I Love America. Trumpian Nationalism Scares Me

This was a bad week.

Saudi Arabia

Megyn Kelly

Pipe Bombs

Murder at a Pittsburgh synagogue

The Stock Market

We have these kinds of weeks occasionally and they serve to remind us that we have deep and serious problems both at home and in the world that require our thoughtful, serious, sober attention. The bigger problem, though, is that we do not have a thoughtful, serious, sober president who has the skills to lead us effectively through this rough patch. In fact, the president is in some ways is creating the atmosphere in which these events can flourish.

Please don’t misunderstand me: I’m not saying that President Trump is the cause of these terrible events. What I am saying is that he has a hand in setting the tone under which they can develop and grow.

It’s time to retire “politically correct” from our lexicon because all it does is give cover to those people who blame it for repressing free speech, when what they want to say are vile, hateful things to anyone they want, and it’s usually used by whites who don’t quite understand that what they might want to say shows that they have no sense of decorum or justice. Blackface is, and always has been, racist. So has dressing up like a cartoon of someone’s ethnic background.

The president has not helped with this because he ran on a firm rejection of respectful speech, using racial, ethnic and sexist slurs against anyone, even military personnel, members of congress, judges and foreign dignitaries who opposed him or questioned his questionable judgement. Is it any wonder that we have people like Megyn Kelly uttering spectacularly racist statements? Or that we have a company such as Google protecting male executives who committed heinous acts of sexism and harassment at work?

Which of course brings us to our latest example of violence and hate, American style. The president has said, repeatedly, that the media is the enemy of the people. It looks like some people have received that message loud and clear. And what’s worse is that after a few comforting words, the president went right back on the campaign rally trail and continued to vilify the media after more pipe bombs were discovered. The mainstream media is not the problem; continuing to blame and create scapegoats is the problem.

But what made this week even worse when the president referred to himself as a nationalist, and then taunted those who really understand what his brand of nationalism means.

It’s not inclusive.

It’s not positive.

It’s not helpful.

It creates victims.

And you’ll please excuse me for bringing up the past, but as  Jewish American, I cannot ignore what historical nationalism has meant to my people. It’s been used to define us as not: not part of the country, not part of the group, not part of the culture, not part of society. That the president apologized for using nationalism as he does says to me that he understands, albeit in a limited way, what nationalism has meant to minorities and those people who have traditionally been excluded from the nation. At the same time, though, he has excused the actions and words of the very right wing hate groups that promote antisemitism, racism and xenophobia.

All you have to do is listen as he and his followers describe the women and children trying to make a better life for themselves in this country as an invasion force worthy of evoking a military response on our southern border to know that this is the language of hatred, fear and loathing. Presidents are role models and they have traditionally been careful about what they say. This president has discarded that, to the detriment of the nation.

At the same time, without investigating, he nurtured the theory that the Saudi government had little to do with the death of Jamil Khashoggi, even going so far as asking the Saudi Crown Prince if his government was involved. Trump took the Prince at his word. That word was a lie.

I have all but given up on the president changing his tone to one that includes all Americans and exhorts us to use our common wisdom, our vitality and our common sense to solve our problems. As long as he sees this country as one in which there are people for him and people against him, then he will continue to divide us.

It’s up to us to change that. Make sure you vote on November 6 for candidates that will form a bulwark against policies that will enrich the few, blame the other and venerate the narrow at the expense of the many.
