10 Best Things you can do for your Skin

1. Always try natural options, when it comes to nature, the original is better than the copy, since the biological structure of the skin is designed to recognize and utilize natural ingredients.
2. First of all begin by keeping it clean. Cleanse for approximately 2 minutes every night, twice a day.
3. Stop squeezing pimples. When people squeeze, it can rupture the duct that produces oil, causing trauma, infection and, eventually, scarring.
4. Begin from the inside out, avoid sugar intake as much as possible, since everything you put into your body is reflected in your skin.

5. Avoid sugar, but introduce chocolate, dark chocolate will arm your skin with additional flavonols, protective nutrients that researchers believe absorb UV light and increase blood flow to the skin, improving its appearance.
6. Get to know your skin type, this way you will ensure you’re using the correct cleanser and moisturizer.
7. Exfoliate once a week to remove old dead cell material. Use a “fractionated” oil to moisturize, this will mimic and replace your acid mantle, but those with sensitive skin may experience excessive skin irritation and should not exfoliate that often.
8. Have a good sleep; while you’re logging quality snooze time, havoc may be breaking out on your face. Hormonal surges during sleep cause your sebaceous glands to pump oil.
9. Also try to wash your sheets weekly, since when you sleep, lotions, hair gels, and oils sweat off of your body and onto your linens.
10. Take a chill pill; stress slows down the skin’s rejuvenation process. It can reduce cell renewal, destroy collagen fibers in the skin, and break down elastin, thus speeding up the aging process.

BILL COSBY HAS GONE AND DONE IT AGAIN…

They’re standing on the corner and they can’t speak English.
I can’t even talk the way these people talk:
Why you ain’t,
Where you is,
What he drive,
Where he stay,
Where he work,
Who you be…
And I blamed the kid until I heard the mother talk.
And then I heard the father talk.
Everybody knows it’s important to speak English except these knuckleheads. You can’t be a doctor with that kind of crap coming out of your mouth.
In fact you will never get any kind of job making a decent living.

People marched and were hit in the face with rocks to get an Education, and now we’ve got these knuckleheads walking around.
The lower economic people are not holding up their end in this deal.
These people are not parenting. They are buying things for kids.
$500 sneakers for what?
And they won’t spend $200 for Hooked on Phonics.

I am talking about these people who cry when their son is standing there in an orange suit.
Where were you when he was 2?
Where were you when he was 12?
Where were you when he was 18 and how come you didn’t know that he had a pistol?
And where is the father? Or who is his father?
People putting their clothes on backward:
Isn’t that a sign of something gone wrong?
People with their hats on backward, pants down around the crack, isn’t that a sign of something?

Isn’t it a sign of something when she has her dress all the way up and got all type of needles [piercing] going through her body?
What part of Africa did this come from??
We are not Africans. Those people are not Africans; they don’t know a thing about Africa …..

I say this all of the time. It would be like white people saying they are European-American. That is totally stupid.
I was born here, and so were my parents and grand parents and, very likely my great grandparents. I don’t have any connection to Africa, no more than white Americans have to Germany , Scotland , England , Ireland , or the Netherlands . The same applies to 99 percent of all the black Americans as regards to Africa . So stop, already! ! !
With names like Shaniqua, Taliqua and Mohammed and all of that crap ……… And all of them are in jail.

Brown or black versus the Board of Education is no longer the white person’s problem.
We have got to take the neighborhood back.
People used to be ashamed. Today a woman has eight children with eight different ‘husbands’ — or men or whatever you call them now.
We have millionaire football players who cannot read.
We have million-dollar basketball players who can’t write two paragraphs. We, as black folks have to do a better job.
Someone working at Wal-Mart with seven kids, you are hurting us.
We have to start holding each other to a higher standard..
We cannot blame the white people any longer.’

Foods That Are Appetite Suppresants

#1 Psyllium Fiber

Few foods are as effective as psyllium at keeping your appetite down. The insoluble fiber keeps your digestive tract from sending hunger pangs your way. Add a few teaspoons to a morning smoothie and you’ll lower your caloric intake for the day.

#2 Almonds

Almonds are full of good fat and vitamins. But they’re also great at creating a feeling of fullness that lasts. Pop a few as a snack when there’s a few hours before your next meal.

#3 Avocado

You’ll struggle to find a better source of good fat in nature’s kingdom. The combination of fiber and full fat in these green guys suppress your appetite while they’re keeping you healthy. So don’t be afraid to indulge.

#4 Apples

An apple a day will keep your next meal away. These beauties are chock full of soluble fiber and pectin which keep you fuller longer. They also regulate your blood sugar levels to prevent spikes or drops which can lead to hunger pangs.

#5 Eggs

There’s no better breakfast for appetite suppression. Eating eggs in the morning will give you a full feeling that lasts for over 24 hours. That means less snacking during the day and fewer calories on your daily total.

#6 Sweet Potatoes

Sweet potatoes have a diet-friendly secret. Each of these tubers contains a special starch that resists digestion. And since sweet potatoes stick stubbornly in your stomach, you stay full longer.

#7 Tofu

Tofu is a great source of plant protein. Tofu is also high in genistein. It’s an isoflavone which provides long-term appetite suppression. Those with diets high in tofu eat less on average than those who go without it.

#8 Wasabi

This hot Asian condiment is no main dish. But add it to vegetable or fish dishes and you’ve got a natural appetite suppressant. Wasabi is also a natural anti-inflammatory that takes care of belly bloat.

#9 Oatmeal

Oatmeal gets a bad rap for being high in carbs. But oatmeal’s high-fiber carbs digest slowly and keep you full for hours. Plus, oatmeal suppresses ghlerin, a notorious hunger hormone.

#10 Kale

These green, leafy beauties are full of fiber. Have them lightly sauteed with a little olive oil and salt for a healthy snack. They don’t have enough calories to dent your diet and they’ll keep you too full to cheat later.

#11 Flax Seeds

The great thing about flax seeds is that they expand in your stomach. Add a few tablespoons to a salad for a filling snack. Or add flax seed powder to your smoothie or desert. It will keep you full for hours without adding additional calories to your diet.

#12 Whey Protein

It doesn’t look appetizing but that’s OK. Add a spoonful to a smoothie for long-lasting appetite suppression. You’ll make it well into the afternoon before you start checking the clock for your next meal time.

#13 Raw Veggies

Chop them up and put them in a salad. This fiber-rich meal will keep you full for hours. And because its low on calories, you can super size it.

#14 Bran

Bran is full of fiber which expands in your stomach to keep you full for hours. Sprinkle bran flakes on your favorite dishes or simply put two tablespoons in a glass of skim milk for a filling drink.

#15 Salmon

This delicious fish is high in omega-3 fatty acids. When they’re in you’re stomach, your body produces more of the hormone leptin. Leptin is a helpful hormone that suppresses your appetite as long as its circulating in your system.

‘Letter to Zimmerman’ Goes Viral: ‘You Are Now Going To Feel What It’s Like To Be A Black Man’

A Facebook post directed at George Zimmerman, the man recently acquitted for the murder of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin, has gone viral.

Facebook user Alex Fraser posted the heartfelt letter on July 13, and as of 9:30 a.m. Sunday, it has received nearly 100 comments and 150,000 likes.

Fraser beings his letter by telling Zimmerman “for the rest of your life you are now going to feel what its like to be a black man in America.”

You will feel people stare at you. Judging you for what you think are unfair reasons. You will lose out on getting jobs for something you feel is outside of your control. You will believe yourself to be an upstanding citizen and wonder why people choose to not see that.

People will cross the street when they see you coming. They will call you hurtful names. It will drive you so insane some days that you’ll want to scream at the top of your lungs. But you will have to wake up the next day, put on firm look and push through life.

5 DANGERS OF EXCESS ABDOMINAL FAT

By now, most of us are well aware of the health risks that are associated with obesity. But did you know that excess abdominal fat in particular carries its own set of risks? A high waist-to-hip ratio, caused by visceral fat setting up shop inside your abdomen and around your organs, has been associated with these five long-term health issues.

#1 Decreased Lung Function

Last year, a team of Finnish researchers found that a large waist circumference is related to decreased lung volume and function. In comparison with other healthy, non-smoking adults who did not have excess abdominal fat, those who carried more fat performed far more poorly on spirometry (breath measurement) tests.

Over time, this decreased lung function can lead to a narrowing of the airway and ultimately chronic lung diseases like asthma.

#2 Arterial Degeneration

Another 2012 study found a significant correlation between abdominal obesity and high incidence of arthrosclerosis and arterial stiffness. The researchers studied both individuals with abdominal obesity and general obesity, as well as healthy individuals, and discovered that for every 0.1 increase in the waist to height ratio, arterial issues worsened. This tendency was particularly pronounced in people with excess abdominal fat. Arterial degeneration can lead to stroke and various forms of heart disease.

#3 POOR BLOOD SUGAR REGULATION

Visceral fat – the type of fat found in people with abdominal obesity – produces a number of hormones that can wreak havoc on your metabolic systems. These hormones can trigger changes to insulin receptors in your body, meaning that insulin starts to become less effective in helping to regulate your blood sugar. This is, of course, one of the major causes of diabetes.

#4 DEMENTIA AND ALZHEIMER’S DISEASE

It turns out that what’s going on in your gut can have a big effect on your brain. A 2010 study found that a high waist-to-hip ratio, as well as the presence of abdominal visceral fat in general, is linked with low brain volume. Low brain volume has in turn been linked with general dementia and may also be a contributing factor in Alzheimer’s disease.

#5 HIGH CHOLESTEROL

Visceral fat can be turned into free fatty acids by the body, which results in the production of LDL (also known as “bad”) cholesterol and triglycerides. In addition, the free fatty acids also reduce the body’s level of HDL (also known as “good”) cholesterol. Along with abdominal obesity’s relationship with arterial degeneration, the cholesterol-related effects of excess belly fat are a perfect storm for heart disease, high blood pressure, and stroke.

UPDATE: 2nd Suspect Arrested For Raping, Throwing 16-Yr-Old Off Brooklyn Roof

725 Miller Avenue (Google Maps)

Police have arrested the second suspect wanted in the rape and attempted murder of a 16-year-old girl on Sunday. Cops had already arrested Anwar Desouza but were still seeking Antonio Owensford. And, late last night, the NYPD announced Owensford was in custody.

According to the Daily News, “Desouza, 24, connected with the teen through Backpage.com — a classified advertising website often used to peddle sex — and had her come to his East New York apartment early Sunday, the sources said The girl arrived, and the pair went to the roof, where they ran into Desouza’s pal, 26-year-old Antonio Owensford, shortly after 3 a.m., sources said. Desouza, while negotiating the terms of their $100 tryst, told the teen that he refused to wear a condom, sources said.”

After arguing, the News’ sources say that the men raped the girl and then Owensford threw the girl off the building. She suffered injuries to her leg, arm and back and is in serious condition. Owensford was charged with attempted murder, two counts of rape, assault and strangulation.

Desouza was arraigned yesterday on charges of attempted murder, assault, rape and strangulation, and his attorney proclaimed his innocence, “He has a job for six years at Whole Foods, lives with wife and children,” said his attorney. He strongly denies the allegations and having any involvement in what happened on the roof.”

The president of the 75th Precinct Community Council, Juan Rodriguez, told the Post he saw the victim in the hospital, “The parents are very sad. Who wants to get their 16-year-old daughter raped and thrown off a roof? These guys are monsters.”

One neighbor told NBC New York, “I felt bad because I got a daughter and I wouldn’t want that to happen to my child. And I’m a girl and I wouldn’t want that to happen to me. I go out and I come in late at night, and you don’t know what might happen.”
