Wayne Brady – “I am pansexual”

Class, today, we’ll learn the meaning of ‘Pansexual.’

Now I know most of us have probably never heard of the word, but thanks to this latest revelation from television host and actor, Wayne Brady, it appears that pansexuality is a thing. Let’s have Mr. Brady explain…

“I am pansexual,” the actor and TV host reveals to PEOPLE.

“To me, pan means being able to be attracted to anyone who identifies as gay, straight, bi, transsexual or non-binary. Being able to be attracted across the board. And, I think, at least for me for right now, that is the proper place,” Brady, 51, shares. I took pan to mean that not only can I be attracted to any of these people or types physically, but I could be attracted to the person that is there.”

The prefix “pan-” means “all.” So, pansexual refers to those who are romantically, emotionally, and/or sexually attracted to all people regardless of their gender identity.

Wayne Brady Has Something to Say About Michael Dunn’s Verdict

The entertainer, also a native of Florida recently spoke to Huffington Post about the murder of Jordan Davis, his killer Michael Dunn and the verdict that ignored the life that was lost.

“I’m not going to stay away from Florida, so I’m not going to blame the state of Florida, but to a degree, I don’t know what’s going on in the head of some of the people in Florida. The people in the decision making process.”

Some of the people in the jury, maybe. It’s issues like that that [make] me sad as a man, fearful to a degree as a black man, that there are people who will use the, ‘Oh no, I was defending myself,’ the Stand Your Ground laws.”

“I was thinking about this myself, because I thought what if I’m in a position where I feel like I’m being threatened?” Brady went on. “I have my daughter, and I’m out with her a lot … I’m out with her mom sometimes, I’m out with my friends. I may want to defend myself, and what do you do when you’re in that position?

“You don’t know what you will do. So I can’t judge the guy, because I wasn’t there. But I will say with some of the forensic evidence that was presented, it’s a shame on all accounts, and it makes me sad that we lost another brother to this needless violence.”

The Return of Great Comedy

Great comedy is very hard to come by these days, especially on TV. I’m not talking about some daytime show where you’ll have your eventual laughs or movies such as “The Hangover”. No, I’m talking about unscripted comedy where it’s going to be different every time you either go to see it or change the channel. Comedy that will make your sides hurt from laughing so much and make you wanting more once the show is over. Thankfully I’ve got great news to people like me who just want to laugh and laugh at great performers.

“Whose Line Is It Anyway” is returning to television this summer!

“Whose Line Is It Anyway” was originally a British improv show that soon got an American version on ABC and ABC Family channels from 1998-2007. The show consisted of three primary performers, Ryan Stiles, Wayne Brady, and Colin Mochrie, who were joined by a fourth special guest every show. They were given scenes that they would have to act out on the spot.

My favorite of these scenes would have to be entitled Weird Newscasters. Each performer was given a special personality and would have to act out their personality while also trying to report the news section they were given.

One of the greatest comedic duos to ever perform, Ryan Stiles and Colin Mochrie

The return of easily one of the best comedy shows to ever grace television is amazing news to me. It’s time for people to see what real comedy is. It doesn’t need to involve someone getting hurt doing some stupid stunt or a long movie about a bunch of friends getting so hammered they can’t remember what happened on their Vegas night (or their time in Thailand if you watched part 2). I will tell you now that if you have never seen it before, go watch it. You will not regret it one bit. And if you have seen it then you’ll be like me and jumping out of your seat over the news of its return.

“Whose Line Is It Anyway” will premiere on The CW starting July 16,2013.
