Michelle Obama and the “Young People are Knuckleheads” Controversy

There seems to be some controversy surrounding something Michelle Obama said on Jimmy Fallon’s The Tonight Show last night.

Speaking about the importance of healthcare and young people, The First Lady made a statement that is considered by most, if not all, to be true.

We were all young, or younger at one point in our lives and healthcare was never a concerned. We all thought we were invincible. We took chances and did crazy things that, looking back on some on those decisions now, could be considered dumb decisions, knucklehead moves.

The First Lady made that observation in last night’s shiw and the right is having a field day, lambasting Michelle Obama for calling young people knuckleheads.

Of course the agree with the First Lady, but because she’s an Obama and a Democrat, her statement is now controversial.

I Always Thought Texans Were Dumb. This Guy Proved Me Wrong – Video

Thanks to people like George Bush, Rick Perry and others like Ted Cruz and those Texans who are willing to forgo their own health care for dumb Republican politics, I always thought Texans were not that smart. It’s wrong of me to generalize like that, yea,  I know. But when you look at the examples above, it’s hard not to come to that conclusion.

I was wrong, and I will be the first to admit that.

A sportscaster from Texas has defied my way of thinking, causing me to take a second look at the intellect of the state. And although the Ted Cruzes are still there, I am changing my way of thinling. His name is Dale Hansen and his commentary on the Michael Sam story is what did it for me.

Michael Sam came out a few days ago telling the world that he was gay. Sam, a college football star is now looking to be picked up by the NFL but since making his announcement, the college superior player is getting blowback from some in the league.

Dale Hansen had something to say about that.

Sexually Abused Victim Confronts Abuser, Puts Video on YouTube – Video

A California woman — who says she was sexually abused for years by her basketball coach — confronts her alleged attacker in a damning YouTube video that quickly led to the educator’s resignation.

“Everything was stolen from me,” Jaime Carrillo, now a mother of two, told KTLA5 as she choked back tears. “I want her to be in jail and to pay for what she’s done.”

Carrillo, 28, has come forward to expose a relationship Andrea Cardosa allegedly started when the girl was just 12 — and stretched throughout her teenage years, according to reports.

Carrillo recorded her phone confrontation with Cardosa — who had since risen to the ranks of assistant principal at Alhambra High School — in a video that was sent to school officials.

Cardosa resigned from her post Friday — the same day the video was posted — and has gone into relative hiding since she was exposed online.

Alhambra High School said in a statement obtained by The News that her resignation came after officials saw the YouTube video and confronted her about its disturbing allegations on January 17.

“At the conclusion of that interview the Alhambra High School administrator tendered her resignation,” the school said. “Alhambra Police department will be handing this matter over to the jurisdiction of the appropriate police Department.”

Amazing, that the man who could be behind the traffic nightmare on the world’s busiest bridge in Fort Lee New Jersey, explained recently that he loves being a governor because one of the perks is getting away from traffic.

A little girl named recently asked the New Jersey governor the question, what do you enjoy most about being governor. The BridgeGate centerpiece then went into a long explanation, stating that he hates traffic and that anytime he travels to New York, they stop traffic so that his entourage could drive through.

Ironic.

Firefighters Rescued Girl, Then Accidentally Ran Over Her with Firetruck – Video

Video footage from the helmet of a rescuer on a plane crash in San Francisco last year appears to show emergency teams failing to assist a teenaged survivor, moments before she was accidentally run over by a fire truck.

Three passengers died when Asiana Airlines Flight 214 clipped a seawall with its landing gear, skidded off the runway and burst into flames at the end of an otherwise routine flight from Seoul to San Francisco on July 6.

One of the victims, Ye Mengyuan, 16, had been pulled alive from the plane and placed near one wing.

But the Chinese teenager was later run over and killed by a fire truck, which did not spot her lying under a layer of fire retardant foam. US prosecutors decided in October not to bring charges against the firefighter driving the truck.

CBS on Thursday broadcast segments of the video, allegedly obtained by a person close to the family of the victim.

Cursing Nebraska Toddler in Child Protective Custody – Video

(CNN) – A Nebraska toddler who repeated a slew of profanities in an online video has been taken into child protective custody, Omaha police said Wednesday.

While authorities found nothing criminal in the video, officials from the Omaha police’s Child Victim Unit and the Nebraska Child Protective Services took the infant and three other children into custody on Wednesday, the police department said on its Facebook page.

The joint investigation found safety concerns, the statement said.

In the video, the diapered child is bombarded with obscenities and racial slurs by the adults around him.

The African-American toddler knocks down a chair and gives nearly as good as he gets, responding to some of the comments with an upraised middle finger and telling one of the adults at one point, “Shut up, bitch.” The adults laugh and prompt him to repeat other crudities.
