Elected Republican Official Invites Rodeo Clown to Perform In His State

A conservative Texas lawmaker is inviting a rodeo clown banned from the Missouri state fair to perform in the Lone Star State instead.

Rep. Steve Stockman (R-Tex.) says that the unidentified rodeo clown and his colleagues have been unfairly targeted by liberals “to create a climate of fear.” He invited them to come perform at a fair in his southeastern Texas district instead.

“Liberals want to bronco bust dissent. But Texans value speech, even if its speech they don’t agree with,” Stockman said in a statement issued by his office Wednesday. “From Molly Ivins to Louie Gohmert and every opinion between Texans value free and open political speech. I’m sure any rodeo in Texas would be proud to have performers.”

Missouri state and fair officials reacted swiftly over the weekend after a rodeo clown donned a mask of President Obama and asked people if they want to see the president “run down by a bull.”

State Fair officials labeled the show “inappropriate” and said it “does not reflect the opinions or standards” of the fair.

Stockman said Wednesday that the reaction was typical of liberals.

“The liberal reaction is straight out of (Saul) Alinsky. They want to crush dissent by isolating and polarizing anyone who questions Obama, even if it’s a rodeo clown with a harmless gag,” he said. “The idea to create a state of fear and make people afraid to trivialize Obama. No one tried to personally destroy the rodeo clown who wore a George H.W. Bush mask.”

Stockman represents a new district in the southeastern corner of Texas that was created as a result of population growth tabulated during the 2010 census. He was first elected to Congress in 1994, but only served on term, and was reelected last year. He’s an outspoken conservative critic of Obama, who said in January that he was willing to initiate impeachment proceedings against the president if the White House implemented new restrictions on firearms through executive action.

Rodeo Clown Sean Hannity Cannot Understand The Rodeo Clown Outrage

But this does not surprise anyone. The clown show at Fox has been entertaining their fans, whipping them into a hateful frenzy every time the name Barack Obama is mentioned.

So seeing the outrage that was caused when another rodeo clown tried to impersonate the president at a state sponsored event in Missouri, by wearing an Obama mask and shoving a stick up his ass… well such an outrage just boggles Hannity’s mind.

On his Fox Entertainment program, Hannity needed to make sure that there were others who agreed with him. And his point that the rodeo clown did nothing wrong would be more believable if his agreeable guests… were black.

Enter Jehmu Greene and and Erik Rush. Greene went first, explaining that she loves rodeo clowns because they are the “epitome of destruction.”

“It’s ridiculous,” Greene said. The NAACP is out of their dang minds to think that this should be investigated by the Department of Justice. Surprise, surprise that I think this is way overkill.”

Erik Rush added his two cents, calling the outrage, “the biggest batch of race-baiting bunk I’ve ever seen.”

It was the usual love fest in the Entertainment Network. They seeds of Obama hate landed on the usual ground and their audience ate it up.

All is well in the Fox hole.

Rand Paul thinks that Evidence of Voter Suppression Does Not Exist

Despite the fact that he and his party are doing all they can to suppress the votes of African Americas and Latinos.

Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY), a tea party senator with a long history of opposition to civil rights laws, told an audience in Louisville, Kentucky on Wednesday that there is no evidence of black voters being excluded from the franchise. According to local NPR host Phillip Bailey, Paul said that he does not believe “there is any particular evidence of polls barring African Americans from voting,” during a speech to the non-partisan Louisville Forum.

If Paul is not aware of the evidence indicating widespread efforts to prevent African Americans from voting, then he must not be looking very hard. During the 2012 election, black and Hispanic voters waited nearly twice as long to cast a ballot as white voters. In Florida, lines of up to six hours led an estimated 201,000 people to become frustrated and leave the polls.

These lines existed largely because of a voter suppression bill signed into law by Gov. Rick Scott (R-FL) which reduced early voting hours in the state. After the election, top Republicans admitted that the purpose of cutting early voting was to reduce Democratic turnout.

One Republican operative conceded that early voting was cut on the Sunday proceeding Election Day because “that’s a big day when the black churches organize themselves.”

Get a clue Paul! You’re blinded by your own politics.

Michael Steele Acknowledges The Republican Party is Being Reduced to The Idiot Class

Michael Steele went on MSNBC’s Hardball today and called out certain members in his Republican party. The segment Steele was discussing had to do with the so-called Republican outreach or lack thereof, and the “bad behavior” by some elected members of the party when it comes to baseless, fact-less nonsense being spewed about President Obama and other minorities.

The moderator of the show pointed out some of the things elected Republicans have said about the President and he played a recording showing Rep. Blake Farenthold from Texas, who said that the original congress should have looked into President Obama’s birth and whether he was in fact an American citizen. He then turn to Steele, telling him that when elected Republican continue this baseless talking point, it reflects badly on the entire party. And then asked Steele what should be done to save the party.

Steele answered that comments like the ones from Farenthold should be dismissed by the leaders of the party. He also acknowledged that those comments draw the party down and “stereotypes the party into a very small casam of the idiot class who can’t figure out that America is changing and how to adopt to this change and become a part of it as opposed to resisting it.”

Well said Steele, well said. With views like this, we see now why they kicked you out from heading the RNC.

President Obama’s Lunch – Fried This and Fried That

It’s raining on Martha’s Vineyard, but President Obama apparently felt the need to get out of the house tuesday.

Obama went for a lunch run at one of the island’s landmarks — Nancy’s snack bar on the waterfront in Oak Bluffs.

Dressed for vacation — blue fleece, Nike sneakers, a Chicago White Sox cap — Obama shook hands and greeted about 40 other patrons before picking up his order at the counter.

The selections, as identified by the White House: fried shrimp, fried oysters, onion rings and french fries.

Obama told the staff at the counter: “Good to see you man, thanks for feeding us.”

The presidential motorcade then headed to the house where senior adviser Valerie Jarrett is staying this week.

After lunch, the president went to a nearby school to play some basketball.

Anthony Weiner’s Ad Denounces “Powerful Voices” Out to Get Him

With just under a month remaining before the New York City Mayor Democratic primary, Anthony Weiner released his first television ad last night, denouncing “powerful voices” who oppose him.

The ad, in which Weiner speaks directly to the camera, is a clear effort to counter several weeks of bad press that have dogged his campaign.

“Look powerful voices have made it clear from the very beginning they didn’t want me to win,” he says in the 30-second spot. “But this isn’t about what they want. They’ve gotten their way for far too long.”

“If you give me a chance, I will fight for you and your family every single day,” he continues

They’re Worshipping a Tree in California

A growing number of Catholics in Fresno, California believe that a tree outside St. John’s Cathedral is weeping God’s tears.

“When you say ‘glory be to God in Jesus’ name’ the tree starts throwing out more water,” parishioner Maria Ybarra told KGPE-TV. Ybarra was the first person to feel the drops of liquid, which began falling from the Crape Myrtle tree on Wednesday. As news spread, more and more people gathered under the tree to pray. “I said my prayer and asked the Lord to give me a miracle cause I’m really, really sick,” Rosemarie Navarro said.

Fresno arborist Jon Reelhorn told KGPE-TV that there’s a scientific explanation for the falling liquid… the excrement of insects known as aphides or tree lice. “The aphides will suck the sap, the sap goes through the aphid and then it is a honey dew excrement from the aphid and it gets so heavy in the summertime that it will drip down,” Reelhorn said. He also pointed out that other trees on the same street had liquid dripping from them as well.

Judge’s Ruling: ‘Stop and Frisk’ is Unconstitutional

A federal judge has ruled that the NYPD’s infamous stop-and-frisk practice “violated the constitutional rights of tens of thousands of New Yorkers”—but didn’t order the NYPD to end the policy immediately.

Instead, federal judge Shira Scheindlin appointed an outside lawyer, Peter Zimroth, to oversee reforms to the policy that would bring it in line with the constitutional rights Scheindlin found it to violate:

These stop-and-frisk episodes, which soared in number over the last decade as crime continued to decline, demonstrated a widespread disregard for the Fourth Amendment, which protects against unreasonable searches and seizures by the government, according to the ruling. It also found violations with the 14th Amendment. […]

While the Supreme Court has long recognized the right of police officers to briefly stop and investigate people who are behaving suspiciously, Judge Scheindlin found that the New York police had overstepped that authority. She found that officers were too quick to deem as suspicious behavior that was perfectly innocent, in effect watering down the legal standard required for a stop.

Zimroth, a partner at Arnold & Porter and a former prosecutor with the Manhattan D.A., will monitor the NYPD’s implementation of stop-and-frisk and ensure that it is complying with Scheindlin’s orders

Rodeo Clown Dressed Up as President Obama

If this had been President Bush, conservatives would never stop talking about it.

A photo showing a rodeo clown dressed as President Barack Obama at the Missouri State Fair caused a stir on social media Sunday.

The photo was first posted on the liberal blog Show Me Progress. The blog post tells the tale of a Missouri resident, Perry Beam, who attended the fair in Sedalia with his wife Lily and a Taiwanese student Saturday night.

“Just prior to the start of the bull riding event, one of the clowns came out dressed in this,” the posts says, referring to the photo. “The announcer wanted to know if anyone would like to see Obama run down by a bull. The crowd went wild. He asked it again and again, louder each time, whipping the audience into a lather. One of the clowns ran up and started bobbling the lips on the mask and the people went crazy.”

According to the post, a bull then charged the clown, forcing him to run away “to the delight of the onlookers hooting and hollering from the stands.
